Donations for a Small Business

Posted by FoodFair on 2012-05-17 01:58:19

I have the business license for a beverage/salad business in my hometown. I am short of funds to purchase the equipment. Here is a breakdown of the equipment and their costs:

**Juicer, NSF-$1595.00
**Undercounter NSF refrigerator-$1500.00
**Stainless steel 3 compartment sink-$360.00
**Stainless steel hand washing sink-$127.00
**Stainless steel counter with bottom shelf-$550.00

In addition, the economy will receive a boost from the money you donate to me because, I will hire employees to help decrease the unemployment rate in my community and help my customers by providing them with healthy food for an excellent quality of life.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read my beg post and most of all, for your donations!

Peace and blessings to you,

HELP US PLEASE - HOME IN DANGER OF REPOSSESSION

Posted by FallenFromGrace on 2012-05-15 05:58:23

Dear Sir or Madam,

We are an average family who have fallen upon very hard times. My wife was let go from her work about 18 months ago with no severance pay and has been unable to find any payable employment since... she has been volunteering at the local school as a classroom assistant but really could do with finding some new work soon.

As you can imagine with my wifes income lost to us things have been tight for a while now so it was an awful second blow when my employers went into administration and the factory was finally closed with all employees laid off, again with no severance pay just over 6 months ago now by the Administrators... we had been hopeful of a buyout but it didn't happen and the whole lot of us were placed onto the scrapheap. As it was we had no payrise for the previous four years...

Things are now hitting crisis point for me and my family, I have only been able to find 4 weeks of paying work in the last six months... we have sold the family car to try and keep my daughter in college and have the house up for sale in the hope we can pay off the capital and start renting but if we don't make this next mortgage payment the bank are going to start foreclosure on us... as for my slightly younger son and his college future that is currently looking very unlikely...

The family pets (2 Cats and 1 Staffie Dog) are as much a part of this family as any of us yet we are now with great reluctance and heartfelt pain considering having to give them up to a the local rescue centre... I think I will cry a thousand tears if I have to let them go but I need to be pratical and focus on my wife and children and putting them first... For I will cry a million tears if I let them down any further than I already have...

Any HELP you can give us will be most gratefully received and a prayer of thanks will be said for every penny.

God Bless you and God Bless America.

Many thanks for reading this.

I'm a single mother aged 35. I've lived in California for almost 14 years ( it will be 15 this year on memorial day weekend.)
I’m going to be a little blunt, because I'm tired and I want to give up so bad, but I can't. I'm better than that and my kids are my motivator. I wake up everyday and remind myself of 2 things :1) Faith is what you have when you all your beliefs are blown to hell. 2) What doesn't kill you makes you stronger -Nietzsche

I am a 35 year old educated, ambitious, head strong woman. I have owned my own business with my soon to be ex. I know what hard work and determination are. I went to private school and I am educated. I value my community and have always given back and will continue to do so. I also know that I have the drive and determination to get myself back on track. I'm not ASKING for a handout, I'm asking for help up! I also know what loss is. I don't have the business, a house or EVEN the car anymore. We lost everything. He bounced back , I didn’t. All I have is HOPE, that someone or some program can help me carve a path back to self sufficiency.
It's gone continually downhill.I am amazed at the allotment of programs for both housing and employment for all different walks of life. However, what about those that are just struggling. No hang ups, no record, just struggling and are LOW INCOME. I'm not writing this to make you feel sorry, I'm writing this because I have exhausted possibilities that I have researched both on my own or been given the information to do the work with.
There are people who struggle everyday through no fault of their own. They don't want a hand out, but help up would be a relief. Society doesn't need band-aids they need solutions.
Not every county, city or state program fits everyone's needs.
First of all Section 8 has been closed since BEFORE I left my marriage so that idea could never work. The list has been closed for years. Because I have limited time with my children, I do not qualify for CALWORKS. I have tried getting assistance in every way possible. I had very little unemployment left since I have been struggling to find work. I was delayed for about 3 months because they needed verification and I had to appeal and request a hearing. I have won my appeal but will only receive $91/week and for a short period of time.
I took a project management class through WIA in 2011, and I was able to get CTB benefits. I NEED HELP. I have hit the absolute worst point in my life and still refuse to give up. I have been looking for work and am now HOMELESS.I am in week 3 of staying in an extended stay hotel (paid for by my mother back east, who makes maybe $26,000/yr in PA) I recently sold my car because I needed to pay bills and rent. I have maybe $75 to my name.
The fact that they say there are services for low income/ homeless is frustrating. I say this because there is no category for me. I'm not a drug addict or in recovery. I don't have a mental illness. I wasn't in prison, I don’t' even have a RECORD. I can proudly say I've never been arrested or even in the back of a cop car. I'm not a victim of domestic violence and I do not beat my kids. Why aren't there programs in place for single parents struggling to make it? Everyday people that are responsible and respectable. I understand the need to assist those that may not have the capacity to take care of themselves. However, I have a huge problem with the fact that Santa Clara County & all programs (private, govt or state funded) will rehabilitate and reintroduced felons into the community, but if you're poor, homeless, no record, are looking for work, have high intelligence; sorry, you can't get help. This sounds extremely cynical and jaded, but I am a little after going through all I have.
I have been told constantly “I wish I could do something but we don't have any programs to help you.” My favorite reply is: "Yeah and you have done everything. I'm surprised you even knew about all the programs you did"
I have talked to employment counselors, program coordinators, program advocates and case managers, volunteers, just about anyone. The bankruptcy is hindering my chances of securing housing, even if I had employment.

The icing on the cake has to be with food stamps and General Assistance. I qualified for Cal-Fresh. However, at the time I had a car worth $2200. So I wasn't able to get General Assistance. Fast Forward a year later, I HAD to sell my car to pay bills. Now this month when I went for General Assistance, I qualify.

It's a never ending cycle, a constant push down. I can take public transportation to work, but to get around and see my boys and being able to transport them would be extremely difficult, not to mention financially stressing. I have scoured employment books, read articles, searched the library, spent hours online trying to find a job, program, a company, anybody who could be a resource whether for low income assistance or employment.
I can probably tell you about a plethora of services this county (Santa Clara) offers for both income assistance and job services.I am registered with CALJOBS; I know all the career sites and have my resume there. I get interviews, however I am starting to think the bankruptcy from loss of business is holding me back when employers do background check.
I also could teach the business writing class or the resume writing classes they offer at Work2Future, I practically did when I took them. I could do the same at Sacred Heart. I've been to InnVision and EHC. I’ve talked to Sunnyvale Community Services. Boy he was a treat he sounded older then my 80 yr old grandma. When I said I need housing and employment help, he gruffly told me to check the newspaper and hung up. I've called St Josephs in Gilroy. I've talked to a program coordinator at West Valley Community Services. I called the Sobrato Organization hoping they had ties to something and one the employees just by grace of god happened to pick up and take my call. I was able to talk to someone at HIF (they couldn't help)
.
I am responsible, respectable and just want to work, have a place to live, and be able to have my children 50/50. I have no police record. I am not in recovery, nor have I ever had to be in a program
I want to work and am attaching a compilation of ALL my work skills. I would not send this out otherwise, I would tailor it specifically to the job I am applying for.

I used to volunteer as much as I could I like being active in my community and helping others. I'm still about that I believe in PAY IT FORWARD. I believe the good you do comes back to you tenfold and that no matter what is going wrong in your life, someone else is struggling just as much if not more; so be thankful for what you have.
I attend church and was a hospitality volunteer for that as well.
I just need help getting on my feet. I have no family, other than my children here in CA.
I do not want to move back east and be far away from them. I want to work, I want to live again. I want to smile and mean it.

I hate what my life has become and know that I am SO MUCH BETTER THEN THIS.
Please help me : money is fine, but it's only a temporary fix, please help me find a program that can assist me in getting on my feet, direct me to employment, and most of all afford me the opportunity to have my children much more consistently so I can be a mom again.
Thank you

I was one of the few employees laid off in a state that somehow survived the recession largely intact, but my position didn't thanks to a governor who rejected parts of the stimulus package. After a struggle for searching for work at home, I set out, with the meager earnings I was able to produce through freelance writing, at a whopping two cents a word, camping along the way, to apply to every open position I could find across this country. 23 months later, I'm still searching. I'm not bilingual, and I don't have a degree. What I do have is experience, an amazing way to deal with people face to face and a ridiculous work ethic, but apparently those aren't the traits looked for in this job market, merely the person who was committed enough to spend four years on a campus.

The math, well, that and the awesome algorithms behind gmail tell me I've applied to 3,150 jobs in over a dozen states. Maybe a hundred interviews from the whole lot. And according to the IRS paperwork I sent in recently, my income last year was a far cry from the most recent classification of the poverty line.

Anything helps, and would be forever appreciated.

One of these days an application will lead to an interview which will lead to an offer, but until then, what? All I can do is keep plugging away. Sleeping in my car when I can't afford a cheap motel room. Waking up to an aggravated foot and hip thanks to my injuries in a life I feel so far removed from it doesn't even feel like it was real anymore.

And I guess, come across this site from the random google search of a desperate person, trying to find some help in a world that seems to have rejected her.

The more I write, the more I keep hearing that little voice on my head saying "Quit your bitching, there are those who have it far worse.", so I'll stop now. Again, any type of help is beyond appreciated. Thank you for reading this far.

Behind on our bills

My wife and I are behind on our bills. She recently spent a night in the emergency room that is costing us an extra $2,000 that we don't have. Our account is now overdrawn. Please help. We both work really hard and are good employees. We just got behind and need help getting back above water. Any donations will really help. Thank you very much.

Need money to keep my family together in our home.

Please...I need something to help my family and I keep our home. Desperate times these days are and I can't keep up with the economy. I do have a job and work as many hours as I can to get us by. My employer states they will not give us employees raises due to the fact our company already has quite a few high paid employees. With no room for advancement and no extra money, can't afford to quit so I strive to survive. Please help me...anything donated would be much appreciated. Thank you so kindly.

College Student in Pretty Bad Shape

Posted by jm07656 on 2012-03-06 17:58:33

First of all, I want to thank you for taking the time out of your day to
read this. You don't even have to do that, but you are, and I really
appreciate that. Let me also tell you that I take responsibility for

everything that has happened to me. You see, I'm a college student, and like
many college sophomore's, I get into a lot of situations that get me into a

heat of water. Unfortunately, all these situations happened to happen all
that thee same time. It started last thursday. My roomate was having a
little party at our apartment. The music was loud which resulted in the

police getting called over. We were given a noise violation for $142. The
very next morning, I was running late for class, so I took my car on campus.
I was in such a rush that I didn't realize that I parked in a no parking

zone. It was only a 50 minute class, but by the time I got back, I got to
witness them towing my car away. That came out to be $150 and $5 is added

everyday, so at the day of this writing, I need $170 to get my car out of
the impound. I also have a $425 rent that I have to pay before the 15th or I
will evicted. I would go to my parents, but my mom is on her last

unemployment checks, and the company that my dad works for is in a legal
dispute, and for some reason they are witholding their employees checks.
I've have tried every option I could think of. I went to friends, but
college students don't have much as it is. I went to my financial aid

counselor, but they said it was too late in the year to pull out any loans
or anything. I have no job, so I can't get a payday loan. I believe that
this could be my last option, but God allowed me to find this site for a
reason. Once again I appreciate the time you took to read this, and I hope
that you can help.

I moved in with my girlfriend 2 months ago. I left Boston to come be with her in NYC. My work had run dry until April. She had just been evicted from her apartment by a slumlord landlord who stole her belongings. We were living from paycheck to paycheck. Supporting each other as best we could. We didn't have enough money to get an apartment of our own, so we got a one month sublet, which ended up being a nightmare-living in a closet with our 2 cats, and dealing with the scum of the earth roommates who made us feel uncomfortable, unwelcome, and awful. During that first Monty, we spent our savings just living. We both work in the creative fields, myself a musician, an she an actress. Work was spotty at best. We borrowed money from friends and family, feeling terrible about ourselves every time. Mid-month, I decided to file for unemployment. (something i had never thought I'd ever do)
The money we were expecting from that would have paid her union dues, giving her a pay bump by about 400%. This would have enabled us to not only survive, but get on our feet and pay back our friends/family. About a week and a half after filing, my boss calls me and tells me I can't file, or he'll go out of business due to the fact he's never paid insurance on his employees. He convinced me he'd cover my unemployment pay (totaling $4,343) if I agreed to recind my claim, thus saving him tens of thousands of dollars in back-taxes. I agreed. As soon as I'd done that- he tells me his lawyer advised him not to do that, and that he never agreed to that in the first place.
I have now been playing phone tag with my unemployment agent for weeks trying to restart the claim, and have the state go after him for the money he owes them.
Meanwhile, at the end of January, we had to move again. We couldn't find a place in time, and ended up staying in a motel in Stamford for a night while we made appointments to see a few places. We awoke to the front desk and housekeeping ladies banging on our door, telling us we have to leave or they'll call the cops. We are still fighting Hotwire.com for charging us for that.
Luckily, we found a place that night. The expenses of having to move though, totaled over $500. (rental car, motel, storage)
The apartment we are in now is shared with 4 other people. It's a two bedroom. There are 3 people sleeping in the living room. There are cockroaches. We once again have to move out, by March 7th. We have applied for foodstamps. (they have yet to be approved)
This time around, we have no money to move with. Our resources have been tapped. We are out of options. Work is still spotty, and we have borrowed from everyone we know.
We have a week to come up with rent, cell phone bills, and moving expenses. Nevermind money for food to ear everyday. (as I type this, we are preparing to go out and sell some things for food money)
I have never been this scared in my life. I doubt that writing this is going to make a difference, but I have to try everything.

If anyone reading this wants a specific number that would get us out of this- its $5,000. Here's the breakdown:
$1,000 rent. (not counting a deposit)
$1760 my girlfriends union dues (which means she makes enough to get us on our feet)
$175 storage fee
$250 cell phone bills (it's a month late, an we're on the same plan)
$130 car rental to get our stuff out of the apartment
$40 rental car gas (they charge $9 a gallon if you don't fill the tank when you return the vehicle)
$1,000 for food for the two of us and cats' supplies. (food, litter)
And the rest would be to pay back some of the people who've already been there for us helping us along the way.

Please. Please help. We are a young couple in love. Scared. Trapped. Out of options.

Thank you for reading, and I hope you will find it in your heart to consider helping us.

Venture Capital For Mom & Pop Store

Posted by CDP1965 on 2012-02-21 02:58:38

I want to start a small business in my home town.
I don't think we can do it with having loan payments.
It is a small town of around 7000 people and is 130 miles from major shopping. So it will be a plus for locals to have a new place to shop in town.

I build and repair computers and I buy and sell products online.

I want to have Computer's Hobbies and more.
In store and online sales.
This would be a family run business and would support three house holds.

Start up cost and one year operating cost would be.
$100,000.00
This covers all bills for one year,Product cost and wage. After one year the business will support it's self and three employees.

Thanks to any one and every one that can help.
I hope to be able to pay it forward in a couple years.

Save our bar! Before We lose it after 14 years:{

Posted by dinoentinc on 2012-02-16 16:58:28

I had a pretty good life up until 2007. It was then that my partner in life and business(we had a roofing company and the bar) decided to turn to methamphetamine because he thought it would make him work harder. I tried for a year to get him to quit. I finally left him in 2008. The roofing company was in my name. Out of the goodness of my heart I kept it going so that he would have a source of income. Little did i know then that he would quit working legitimately(he did it under the table for cash) and quit giving me money to pay the bills for roofing company. I had to close it down but in the end my credit was ruined and he didn't care. At the time the restaurant/bar was also struggling due to the economy. I put myself on the schedule and cut my employees back to the bare minimum. I work along side of them trying to keep things going. I have a personally held contract that I have been paying since 1998. It was a lease option after the first 5 years. I rolled it over to purchase in 2003. I had never been late making the $3000.00 a month payments until 2011. I had to cut the payments short in order to pay other bills. Business was just down because of the economy. We live in a small town. We love to gossip. It was through this gossip that I heard that the contract owner(who doesn't even live in this state!) is going to try and foreclose on us. I have been doing this for 14 years. I have a good track record. I just need help at this point and I'm not too proud to beg!! I really need donations to get caught up and keep me and my employees working. I am so close to being done with my contract that I don't want to give up easily. I cannot go to a bank because of my credit and she will not refinance my contract. My only hope is that I can get enough help from good hearted people who read this and decide to make a donation. It won't go unrewarded. I would love to be able to help others out who are in my position. I know in my community alone there are lots who need it. So please be generous and help me. I will in turn help others. Besides paypal feel free to send donations to: Save Our Bar! 185 rosebrook road Chehalis, Wa. 98532. Thank-you for reading and God Bless.

Hello,

As someone who is in a leadership position at YourCompany, I know that you’re pressed for time. But please, could you give me your full attention for the next 30 seconds as you read this letter?

You see, the children at Plainfield 5 Star Gym would like to continue to have a place to call theirs this year. But you know how it is: government budget cuts, on top of too-small budgets in the first place, have combined to make it impossible for them to be able to do so.

Unless someone steps in to help them. And that’s where you come in.

The benefits of being at Plainfield 5 Star Gym are priceless: teaching children about the wonders of self esteem and motivating them to learn about their ability to achieve goals with discipline is one of the best ways they can learn about themselves and develop their interests, leading to future careers in hundreds of fields.

By helping the children at Plainfield 5 Star Gym to be able to have a place to retreat , you are not just helping them, but you’re also investing in the long-term future health of your community and even your company. A healthy, well-trained workforce is the most valuable asset at any company, and by helping our children to have gym they so desperately desire, you will be planting seeds for future employees loyal to your company.

Not only that, by contributing you will also be receiving free advertising and positive public relations in the community. That’s because we will post your name in the program for the boxing events , as well as on any materials produced promoting the amateur events. To top it all off, we will have a “Partner Wall,” bearing the names of all the contributors to the gym, which will be prominently displayed at the boxing events itself.

By contributing towards the boxing gym in Plainfield you can help our children immeasurably, receive free advertising and promotion for your company and feel good about it all!

Would you please help? We’re are out funds to pay the rent for our gym. We need to raise a total of $50,000.00, which will cover the cost of 50 children from the community to attend without cost, rent, equipment rentals, presentation tables and chair rentals, printed materials like entry forms and flyers .

Any amount you’re willing to donate will be greatly appreciated!

Please contact Rich Johnson at 908 447 7174 to find out how we can work together to give our children the best opportunities to succeed while giving your company the exposure it deserves for helping us out.

Hope to hear from you and thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Rich Johnson

PS: In lieu of a financial donation, we’d be happy to accept any donation in form of donated items or services. Please contact Rich Johnson 908 447-7174 to find out what items or services will be needed to maintain a place for our children.

Need Help with Business

Posted by david3542 on 2011-12-27 03:58:52

I have been trying to get my locksmith business started for 1 year now. I do some work but there are lots of things i still can't do because of lack of equiptment that i can't afford now. Things have been tough with my wife having to have surgery and many other stumbling blocks this year i try to put as much as i can back it to the business. My wife thinks that i'm not charging enough sometimes for my services but in most cases i'm trying to help other though these troubling times. I'm not like some locksmiths that will rip people off but instead i want to help people out. I understand that sometimes you can lock your keys out of your car and you just can't afford to pay someone money you not really have to unlock your car. I know that when my grandmother was living that she had to use locksmiths to unlock her house door after she was locked out. I know that people on fixed incomes are getting rip off by some locksmiths. I want to help all the grandma's and grandpa's out there that need locksmith services with affordable services and work with them so that they don't have to worry about taking money from their food budget but they can still have security they need. I have got some equiptment but i need a code machine and other equiptment to do the job right and make my services more affordable. I am in need of around $12,000 dollars for new equiptment and also for concrete work to put up a building that i have had purchased for a few years now and have not had money for concrete work.So that i can use it for locksmith store. I would also like to add employees later if i can get enough work for them to do. God has been good in keeping our needs supplied during these hard time. Since we have had lost of income it seems like every time that we don't where our next meal might come from he fills our table again. I just ask if you might could help us out with this business please do and i will pay it forward to others. This is something that is very hard for me to do is to ask for help. I'm just going to trust the Lord and what he says to be right in Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: God bless you for even taking the time to read my plea for help if you can't help finacially you can help spiritually by just praying for me. Thank you

Chase Manahatten is charging my husband 29.99% interest on his samll business loan. He was a general contractor but has had to lay off all of his employees and now he wears his tool belt again. In this economy he often goes months without work. His payments are $800.00 a month and all that covers is the interest - does not touch the principal! We will NEVER get out from under without help. 25 donors at $1,000 each would do it - or 5 at $5,000 would be great too. If we could pay this off, we could put a couple local guys back on the payrole!

Terrible job situation!

I work for a small company whose owner lives far away. However, the owner’s son lives in the same building and harasses the employees daily because he knows that his father lives too far away to do anything about it.

Morale in the office is sinking daily and I’m desperate to find a way out. My family deserves better than to see me come home angry for dinner every evening. I wish to fire my boss and make a living from home, from a variety of income sources based on my marketable internet and computer skills.

As long as I’m stuck at my dead end, long commute job, I can’t start my home business. It’s a vicious cycle that I need help to break. I’m counting on your collective generosity to help me provide a living income for my family while I start up my own business.

I am supporting a family of seven, with no job. I had to leave my job 19 months ago because of death threats. My corporate office denied my using the police or any other avenues to resolve the issues I was having with ex-employees I had to let go, so I decided to quit my job in lieu of being murdered. I worked in KC, MO on Troost Avenue, where there was literally a murder every couple weeks within a few blocks. I did recieve unemployment, but the job market is extremely poor at the moment in my experience. I do have a degree from a technical institute, and a four year degree from university, here and abroad. I am not lazy or ignorant, just cannot support my family. Anything helps, I do not have heat for my house even this winter, the furnace went out and no way to fix it. My children are 10, 9, 8, 5, and 1 year old, four boys and finally a baby girl. Please... I have no form of bank account, and credit has gotten so bad I cannot even get a paypal account.

My Wife and I are both disabled Americans. She has had a major back fusion and two knee replacements as well as some heart woes. I myself have just had my second major back surgery, I have an implantable Cardiac Defibrilator and one total knee replacement.
We are both on a very low income, myself on Social Security Disabilaty, she on School Employees Retirement Disabilaty benefits. We have a vehicle that is almost twenty years old and on its last legs.. I am certain you get many letters like this everyday but we really would like some kind of assistance. We would love to be able to move to Vermont where we can be near our children and Grandchildren as they grow and flourish into strong Americans ans be near our Parents as they live out thier golden years. I know we are asking a lot but if there is anything you can do to truly show your compassion , we will speak on every t.v. station, every radio station, make posters, whatever it takes. To show our thanks and support. We're begging you.
The state of Ohio in its infinite wisdom is considering stopping paying my Medicare part b and take away my medicaid because we, "make too much gross income" by the time we pay all our bills we have maybe 50.00 left to last an entire month.
My Wifes Information::::
I was Married to a very wonderful man for 31 years. He developed heart disease and diabetes. He fought valiently but finaly succomed to the medical problems. I became very sad and was almost at the brink of a mental breakdown. I did become involved with the local Greif Counseling service as this helped me to ease my burden a small amount. I began talking to this nice fellow on Pogo.com which is an online gaming site where one may play all sorts of games such as Solitare etc. We hit it off and began internet dating in August of 2008. We arranged to meet in November and upon viewing each other we knew the bond we had felt over the air was a real bond and Leo dropped to his knees and askeed me to Marry him. We married a week later in November of 2008 and have been together ever since. Since than we have both become quite medically burdened ourselves, Leo has a thing called Sudden Cardiac death Syndrome and has had to have had an Automatic Implantable Cardiac Defibrilator instaled recently. We both suffer from back woes and must seek care frequently. Now we do have a 1996 Chevy Blazer that runs when it feels like it, the airconditioner is broken and what with being in the Midwest is very hot to have to drive around with the windows down. A computer part that costs 1500.00 for the A.B.S. system is out and we just can not afford to fix it. We love the vehicle as it was my first ever fully owned vehicle from a bank loan in my life. If We appreciate everything we have and are greatful for both this site and for all the kindness of others. Please vote for us and we shall make certain to pay it forward with our own kindness and see to it that others are blessed as we are. Thank you for reading and for helping out anyway you can.
My Information::::
My Wife and I will be Married for three years on November 28th.We met in late July or early August of 2008. She had just lost her husband of 31 years. I was myself looking for a somewhat different lifestyle than I was in currently. I was living at home at over 40, disabled with a moderate spinal disease and more or less going nowhere. Debbie and I hit it off right away and we were engaged in October and Married in November. We each have been each others rock and best friend and companion. I have since went into the Ministry and have undertaken many courses towards helping others to live as good a life as possible. Debbie is a great personal loss counselor in her own right. I recently became a heart patient and have had to have an Automatic Implantable cardiac defibrilator installed in my upper chest which has a built in pace maker. All this at only the age of 49.Debbie has had to have undergone major back surgery herself and have screws and cages ut into her lower back. This makes us totaly disabled yet we both have a teriffic outlook on life and are always willing to help others. Life is what you make it, not a series of bad events that bring you down. We both appreciate each day given unto us and are so greatful for all our friends, family, and fellow searchers of lifes Grace. If we were chosen to receive a New SUV as we live in snowy Ohio and may move to new England to be closer to some family we would make certain that it was put to good use and everyone would know the generosity of others. I can only hope as this as well as the other stories here on this site may touch you a small amount and you shall favor us with kindness. God Bless Everyone. Thank You All. We are truly blessed to have such wonderful friends and supporters here. We appreciate everything people are doing and sending all the wonderful messages. God Bless You all.

Please HELP my family...

Short history, my husband and I have 5 children, ranging from 3 year old twins to 12 years of age, all boys. We have been struggling as victims of the economy much like many other people across the world. We are both full-time students, with my husband working towards his B.A. in Social Science, and I am working towards my Masters in Early Childhood Education with a specialization in Special Education. My husband, also works full-time for the state in which we live and has for 24 years serving children and adults with developmental disabilities and mental illnesses. This state unfortunately thinks that state employees are over paid, and should carry the entire budget shortfall, so they have made drastic cuts to their pay, their hours mandating 8 hours of furlough every month, and as off July the furlough was reduced to only 6 a year versus 12, but also took away pay already receiving by 4%. They have also taken away longevity pay, pay raises, and have raised insurance costs... our monthly insurance deduction went from $250.00 a month to $450.00, and this pushes us to our breaking point. We have out-standing debt from school, and normal day to day living expenses for a family of 7 are overwhelming. We have recently applied for welfare for food stamps only, and have been told that we make to much money, but we are maxing out dollar loan companies just to put groceries on the table. I know that I am just another product of such an economy, but I would just implore anyone who is able to contribute to my family. I don't know where else to turn, and trust me, I wouldn't be asking if I didn't need to.

Small Business Owner Trying to Keep Everyone Employed

Hi, I am a small business owner and the economy has really impacted my business. I have taken out several loans to try to survive, but things have taken a turn for the worse. I don't want to have to close and leave all my employees without a job. I have taken great personal risk to try to help everyone and could use some help now.

I would appreciate any amount you can donate. I hope to pay it forward to others in need.

Thank you for reading my story!

Need help for bills at home!

Hi, I know my story is probably very common but I have a small family, there is my husband, our two children, and myself living together. My husband has been trying to find work but no one in hiring at the moment. I am currently working for a major corporation that claims they hire more employees than any other company. While that may be true they fail to mention that they like to only schedule their employees for 12-20 hour work weeks and pay every two weeks. Right now I am stuck there because I can't find work elsewhere and I have to drive about 50 miles round trip to work and back which means I'm spending roughly $100 or more out of each paycheck for gas just to get back and forth to work. Because of low hours and spending so much in gas I am having a hard time paying household bills. I don't have cable or satellite television, any paid for cell phones or land-line phone, currently using free government phone, only reason we still have internet is because I am trying to attend online schooling. Even with all our cutbacks I still am not able to pay the rent or other essential bills such as electric. If people good please donate to my cause and help out I would be eternally grateful. Thank you for your support.

I'm having a hard time pay my medical bills

At the beginning of this year, I was hospitalized for almost a week with a severe case of diverticulitis. I was planning on making payments during the busy season of my business, but it didn't work out as planned.
Normally my bicycle business does well enough to support myself and the few employees that I hire. This year, the city decided they needed to replace the bridge on the main highway leading into town. Since my business relies on out of town and drive-by business, I am down by 85%. I am unable to save money for the winter months when my business doesn't make anything.
Not only do I have hospital bills to cover, but I am struggling trying to keep my business afloat. The city doesn't plan on finishing the bridge till late fall, and that will be too late for my business. By then, my season will be over. Any donation would be greatly appreciated.

Unemployed for 7 months and URGENTLY needs help.

Posted by begu2011 on 2011-08-07 07:58:44

I'm struggling to find a job in London for 7 months and I tried everything from applying for a care work to cash in hand such as cleaning jobs but it was unsuccessful because I failed because I didn't met the employers requirements.

Before, I applied in one health care agency and they promised that they can offer shifts anywhere in London. I really did my best to meet their requirements like undergo a lot of trainings, health and CRB checks and of course all of those things needs a payment. After I met those requirements and already registered in this agency, I asked them if they can already give me a shift and then they told me that they don't have any vacancies for care workers in London at the moment. NHS and Nursing homes cut their employees because of crisis. I know that this is happening but they must do something about for their staff's work placement. I trusted them because they are affiliated different agencies so they can cater all the applicants everywhere but it all went wrong.

After hearing the agency's explanation,it was like oh my God! I should have spend my money in applying in other care homes or home care agencies that requires no or less application fees and I felt almost crying and I felt that I don't have anywhere to go because I can't afford to pay for my expenses like rent, food, phone credits and expenses to support my studies. All of my savings just went in job searching and I cannot ask for public funds and support in UK because I'm not a UK citizen and I'm only a student.

I'm really eager to finish what I have started in UK and I don't want to return to my home country yet and bring shame to my family. I was hoping that the qualification and experiences that I have gain in the UK will give a lot of opportunities when I return to my country. I don't want to leave it undone.

I have already a lot of debts and I ask for financial help to some of friends and I'm really embarrassed when I'm asking for money from them. I know that they prioritize their families and themselves first and they are not always there to help me.

Until now I still fighting to have a job in UK and would not resort to any illegal activities. I hope that there is still a chance for me and hoping that there some kind people that will offer me help either a job or donation.

Thank you.
