Need help to pull things together
Posted by StephanD on 2012-01-26 09:58:05
Hello,
Ok..I really hate doing this but I feel like I have no other option. Let me first explain my position. I am a second year computer science student, last year I became the sole provider for my two younger siblings, one of whom has a serious medical condition. Things have been very, very tight but we just make ends meet with me working two partime jobs, while squeezing in my studies. The problem I now face is that my computer decided to spectaculary kick the bucket. I really have tried everything to either fix my old computer or find a way to replace it. The most cost effective solution I came up with is to buy a second hand system. The thing is I need at least $80 and no matter how hard I try to rebudget I can't get hold of this amout within anything close to the time I need to.
I kindly ask that if anyone feels if they can help me out, could you please lend me this amount to durmonte@yahoo.com via Paypal or Moneybookers. I really feel debased at having to write this but I feel determined to consider any help that I may recieve as loans since I feel deeply commited to paying them back with interest. I plan to start my own business and, as however comical it may sound, I truly hope that I will be able to pay back in the future.
Thank you for reading this.

Please help with some income through PGCE at uni!
Posted by Ineedu on 2012-01-24 15:58:53
I am asking for help as in September I am doing a PGCE in Maths at university. Unfortunately I will not be entitled to a bursary as I received a third in my honours degree and Gove has decided in his wisdom not to fund people with thirds!
I have worked in a secondary school for 4 years covering for absent teachers and have proven myself to be effective in the classroom. I believe teaching is my vocation, I really want to work within the community giving something back. Whilst doing my degree, which was completed through distant learning, so I was completely on my own, I worked full time and raised two children. I have worked really hard to get where I am and have never asked for anyone's help until now! I'm desperate to do it, if I could work during it I would but it is such a time consuming training course I would never have the hours in the day to do it!
I hope you can find it in your heart to help me.
Thank you for listening.

Help the Emaciated STRAY ANIMALS be fed and off the Streets!

We run a a small but effective, private not-for-profit animal rescue run by a team of volunteers dedicated to saving stray animals abandoned on the streets and finding them a new forever loving home- which they so greatly deserve.
Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home the abandoned, abused and unwanted animals who unfortunately, through no fault of their own, live on the streets. We also help by promoting responsible pet ownership; the importance of spay & neuter, a good diet and plenty of exercise.
We do not discriminate against size, breed, age, gender, species or health condition- as we believe every animal deserves a second chance.
Unfortunately, 86% of the strays we've helped save are emaciated- they require vet care (which is very costly), special high quality diet, vitamins and supplements to boost their immune system, and so much more!
All volunteers are unpaid and contribute their own money to our rescue's operation. Since we fund all of our expenses ourselves we often require donations from the public to help us out. As always, 100% of the donations go towards the benefit of the animals in our care.
We gladly accept all new, gently used, canine, and feline supplies, as well as monetary donations- which can be sent by PayPal.

Educating Myself
Posted by Keili on 2011-05-19 20:58:28
I am a second-year college student living on my own. I cannot claim independent status although I am not living at home because of certain stipulations I do not met (ie. owning an apartment, etc). Since I am techinically a 'dependent student' I cannot take out further loans through my FAFSA and private loans would require a cosigner, which I don't have. I transfered from Rutgers (in NJ) because the tuition was too high and I would not be able to cover the remaining costs as I am an out of state student. I would love to attend City College and find that it ould actually be a better fit for me and my career goals. I would be able to pay tuition through the payment plan (it is less than $3000 for the semester); however, I cannot pay for housing or a meal plan. I've researched and found that living off campus would be the most cost-effective plan because the cost of rent ($925-1395/ month), food ($200/month), and travel ($52/month-student discounted price) would still be less than on campus housing and meal plan costs which would have to be paid in full at the beginning of the semester. For my first year I need about $25,000 including the costs for summer session. I am double majoring so in order to graduate on time I'd need the summer session. Please help. Anything would be appreiciated. Thank you.

Hello!
I have been a struggling entreprenuer since the early 90's. While I was a law enforcement officer full time.I have owned a cleaning services in nyc for a few years that I lost trying to help others that only cared about themselves. I Lost alot of money and all my cleaning contracts with the applebees restaurants. Then in 2007 I left my cop job to work for myself full time instead. I opened a partnership business as a financial consultant. The economy killed that business. My lenders and investment firms just stopped lending money. So therefore, my clients couldn't get the funds they needed for their projects. Which meant that I couldn't get any commissions from my clients. So that business died. As you can see I have been trying to acheive financial freedom for well over a decade. And I am still determined to do just that. I am now fixing to get into a business that I should have gotten involved with back in the 90's. It's definitely recession proof! In fact the bad economy has set the demand for this type of service in over drive. Heck! The need for this type of service has been in over drive since the 9/11 tragedies. The industry I am talking about is SECURITY!!!. I know I cannot fail with this business! Why?! Because there is a strong demand for it! Especially down here in charlotte nc where I now live. Security covers a broad spectrum in services. I intend to do the obvious. Which is security guard and patrol services. The problem is I have no more money to start my security guard business. I am currently an armed security guard who just got laid off as of 03/31/11. And I can't go back to work until my GUARD CARD from the state comes back. I can no longer work while waiting for it to come in (ALTHOUGH I'VE BEEN ACTIVELY WORKING SINCE LAST SEPTEMBER). The bright side is that I have time to set things in motion for my own business. The downside is, I will be living off of $155.00 in unemployment benefits. Which I won't receive my first payment for another two weeks. Which will not do much since I have a pregnant wife, a 5 year old autistic daughter, a one year old son. And I am also paying child support to my 15 year old son's mom back in nyc. YES I AM FLAT BROKE! If it wasn't for my daughter's SSI benefits our rent wouldn't be paid this month. I really am feeling like less of a man on that fact alone. I want to provide for my family the way a REAL man should. And I know that I can do it again with this security business! But I need money to get it going. I am going to need about $500,000.00. This 500K will afford me the opportunity to buy patrol vehicles, uniforms, office space, supplies, business insurance, equipment and at least 2 salaries for the first year out. I intend to service the neighborhood watch program communities. Since no companies are doing it. I don't know why they aren't but it is a HOT market right now. And with my 13 years of law enforcement experience. As well as an additional 8 years of security experience. I know that I can put together a very effective and well saught after security force. So if there is anyone out there, out of the millions upon millions of people that are online right now, tomorrow, and everyday that wants to help me out. Please donate a simple measley $1.00 bill towads my business venture. If you want to donate more $2.00,$5.00, or even $10.00 or $20.00. Obviously I will NOT turn those donations down. But knowing how hard it is these days for people financially. I know $10.00 to $20.00 just might be just too much. But four quarters, 100 pennies shouldn't be hard at all to donate to some stranger that you don't even know. And I must say that I also have a deep passion to help others. Their are so many good people out there that want to work. But just cannot find a decent paying job. I will be in the position to hire these people that want to pursue a career in the security field. This will be my way of paying back what you do for me. If you want to talk to me personally we can even chat on google chat line. Or email me at: bart.wilson.jr@gmail.com. This is my personal email. My paypal email just so happens to be my future security company's name: blackopsprotectionagency@gmail.com.
Or call me direct: 980.395.7423
Thanking you well in advance for your support.

Need Help Building An Earth Bag Home! PLEASE HELP!
Posted by busymom_2010 on 2010-10-19 21:58:58
I am looking for help in building an Earth Bag home. We are a family of 5, myself, husband, and 3 children, living in a 110+ year old farm house that my great grandparents built. It is very drafty through the winter, it is in desperate need of windows and other costly repairs. We are to the point where we feel that a new home would be the most cost effective way to go.
We are interested in building an earth-friendly, Earth Bag home. We are in need of financial support for the project. My husband, and I are both employed full time, however, it just isn't enough to support the family and build a new home. Any help would be greatly appreciated, we are even willing to produce all receipts from the project, that way everyone knows we are honest about what we are trying to accomplish. We have the land, we just need some financial support to get started. Earth Bag homes are very affordable to build, we just need the help to get things started.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Hello all,
My name is Elizabeth, but I go by my middle name Kelly. I am a 38 year old disabled woman (degenerative disc disease, two back surgeries, one abdominal surgery). I current live in El Cajon, California and due to painful reasons I cannot voice, I must move NOW. I am trying to move up to the Bay Area as I have family and friends there.
I have saved $10,000 of my own money, but I need another $10,000 ASAP. I have found land on which to build a home. The land is $9700 for a .27 acre lot. No, that's not a joke. There are about 26 lots available within a sixty mile radius of San Francisco that are listed at/or below $25,000. While I am building, I intend to live in an RV. It's the most cost effective way to move right NOW and have a home of my own for the first time in my life. I have found a suitable and well priced RV for sale. The dealership has agreed to knock another $2000 off, so after fees and taxes, it would be $11,000.
First problem: My credit has been destroyed over the last three years due to medical bills that I put on credit cards (those financial issues are resolved, but still took their toll on my credit). All of my efforts to obtain any kind of financing have now been exhausted. My credit report is actually the lesser of the issues. It's the fact that I'm disabled, on a fixed income, and have no idea when or if I can return to work (I have requested clearance to return to work and have been denied repeatedly by three different doctors). This presents the biggest concern for lenders despite the fact that how little I need to borrow would constitute a monthly payment of only 17% of my income. It makes no difference if the loan is for the land or the RV. I am considered too much of an "unknown risk." And to answer an obvious question, yes my family has already pitched in as much as they can.
Second problem: With the $10,000 I have, I can either buy the land outright, or buy the RV outright, but not both. If I buy the land, I have no way to live on it. If I buy the RV, I have no place to park it to live in it. So, I am throwing my pride out the window and I'm asking for help. If you can and are willing to help, I would be extremely grateful. Every single dollar counts... So, if a dollar is all you can spare, I would still be just as grateful. At the point at which I own the land and the RV (and my car, which is paid off) this will be just enough collateral for a bank to loan me the $45,000 I will need for the cabin kit (it's a small cabin that comes to you in pieces and you put it together yourself.... think Ikea on a much larger scale, and much better quality; it is about $18,000), and the rest of the bank loan would be to connect to utilities and lay a foundation.
I want to make it clear that I am only asking for enough help to get me up to the Bay Area... 10K total. Once I have the minimum I need, this post will come down. I'm not asking for any more than I need to get the land and the RV at the same time. I'm not asking for ANY of the money I will need to build my home and connect to utilities. I can and want to take responsibility for that myself. I'm only asking for the kick-start I need... I've saved half my start up on my own. I need help for the last push to get me to my personal "Promised Land."
Thank you for taking the time to read about me and my situation... I hope that one day, when I am financially established again, I will have the means to come back here and help others the way I was helped in my time of need.

Hello and thank you for reading my post! We are a small and effective Domestic Nonprofit based out of Knoxville TN helping the homeless get off the streets as a Mobile Crisis/Intervention Unit. We are in need of replacing our 1985 Chevy Van with a new Mobile Crisis Unit. If you can donate an RV with a Shower, Kitchen and Washer/Dryer combo we would greatly appreciate it. For more details on they type of Mobile Crisis Unit we wish to build and purchase you may see our website at: http://homelesscrisis.wordpress.com/goals/
The Mobile Crisis Unit detailed on the above web page is a custome unit. We would be more then happy to accept a normal RV but it does need to have a shower, kitchen and waher/dryer combo.
