Other peoples stories on here are heaetbreaking and im not in terrible trouble or anything so maybe read and help other people first but I would love a car and intensive driving course to help me work and thought would put this up for a week to see what happens! Thanks for reading

I am a father of two young boys. we already are living without water and we have no food beyond this week. we walk across street to use restroom at a family members house, this is gracious enough as we have fallen on hard times and so have they. we, together, try our best to help each other but i have been without meaningful work since being laid off from a steel mill. i was a hard worker and went in sick or well to make sure my family had their needs met, when i lost my job it was devastating. i am 26 no degrees, some college level courses completed and have had only two jobs since i was 18. i have little to no work experience outside of the heavy industries which have fallen off sue to the slow economy. this makes me under qualified for most good paying jobs as i cannot work for min. wage and support my children along with my home. this has destroyed my six year marriage and left me penniless and sometimes homeless as my ex wife retains the home. she works near full time but only makes 9 dollars and hour driving bus for osu, not enough income to cover all the expenses without my help. i have moved back home to try to make amends to find that within 10 days we are to be removed from the house if i do not have $1,500.00 for non-payment of the mortgage. please if someone can help us as i am desperately looking for gainful employment, i want to work and am a good hearted christian man. if only a few kinds words to sway an employer to give me a chance, anything would be appreciated.

My best friend was recently diagnosed with cancer. She's too proud to ask for help herself, and I'm one of the few people in her life that even knows she's sick. Her own family (who recently disowned her after she broke up with a fiance they liked) doesn't even know what's going on.

My friend started having a panic attack after doing some calculations and realizing that she can't afford her final semester of college this August after paying for Chemotherapy and some unexpected car repairs. Her family refuses to give her the information she needs to fill out her FAFSA, so she can't even get student loans.

I couldn't stand seeing her like that -- She's been struggling with issues for years due to a traumatic childhood, and to see her dreams of graduating fall apart due to money issues was too much to bear.

So I told her I'd pay for her last semester, in full. And looking at my finances, I will be able to pay for most of it if I penny-pinch, don't eat out, avoid driving anywhere I don't need to, and donate some blood to the local blood bank. But it looks like even with doing that, I'll come up about $500 or $600 short.

If you can donate and help out, I'd be forever grateful for you helping her dreams come true. If you can't donate, have any ideas on how someone living in the Clark County, Nevada area could make some money over the weekends, let me know in the comments.

I am retired and barely existing on social security income and took out a payday loan to keep my lights on several months ago ($500) and now every month I have to pay it off and take it out again just to survive. I am disabled and this is driving me nuts! Help!

My husband and I had a nice place that we were buying and then we both got laid off well he was working alittle and it was pay insurance or the electric bill. We paid the electric bill and was starting to get on our feet when our home burned to the ground, we did not recieve much help but we found another place to live and stayed there for nearly 7 yrs. The roof started leaking very bad and the land lord just laid tin down on the wet rotting roof well black mold started growing and I spent the next yr back and forth to the Dr trying to figure out what was wrong with me. Lost wieght, exremly tired slept all the time, no energy. well one dr finally figured it out BLack Mold. we moved in with our son and his family and about 4 months ago we moved into a new place. while I was cleaning the bathroom I found black mold all over the walls. We have found another home but we do not have the money for all the deposits on electric gas house deposit. We need ya'lls help so very mch. I will gladly send you a copy of the reciept for which ever one is turned on. I will also send you a reciept so you can take it off of your taxes if possible. My husband works sunup to after dark 6 days a week we only have one vehicle and he works 40 miles one way from home and moving into this new house will help cut down his driving time because it is closer to his work. Hi everyone. I am a 25 year old woman with two beautiful children. Their father has never asked to marry me after ten years. He works on the road and lives a double life, abusing me in front of our children everytime i catch him. Im not one to return evil or have intentions on hurting anyone back. I only wish to move closer to my job,to an unknown address to him. Iv had the same job for 4 years, but its paycheck to paycheck, so i depend on him to help. I Im driving an hour to and from work. Today, I'm not posting a beg for help. I really do not think I will get any. I'm going to post how I feel and how we're doing. Get things off my chest so I can move on with my day because I'm stressed out.

We were contacted by a new company. We are now set up to work and doing work for them. We had people loan us money and time to get things ready so we could work for them. It takes money to make money and so on.

My husband and son drive to this area for the job which is hours away. They were not given enough material for the job, so twice they had to buy material.( thank goodness for the loan) This put them way behind schedule and they could not complete the job yesterday. Now you come to the point of, do you spend $100.00 on gas and hours driving or try and find a cheap place to stay. Well we couldn't afford the place to stay nor the gas (profit margin thing),so they slept in the truck. I didn't sleep well worrying.

Today they get to the place to complete the job and the guard said to them "we really don't allow people to work here on Sunday". He lets them in anyway, they are hopeful that if they wait until noon, they won't get thrown out. Mind you this is construction work and this is a upscale neighborhood with I guess a policy against noise, construction work on Sundays.

I am thankful for the work, I wish it had gone smoother yesterday, yes, we will make a little money if they can complete this job today.

I am going to pray for the little things again today and be thankful for what we have. I have taken to talking to god a lot lately. I'm tired of talking about my problems to friends and family.

Hi. I am 38 years old and live in Canada. One day I watched as numerous people visited my local coffee shop. The thought occurred to me that each individual visiting this store was spending at least $1.50. The price of a medium coffee. Then I thought at least one million people across Canada are going to visit this Nationwide coffee chain. One million people times $1.50. Well that's just basic math that comes to the tune of $1.5 MILLION! This is a low ball number as this chain obviously earns more than that. If One million people put Just A Dollar each in my account, each and every one of them would get to know that they changed One person's life for the better! Its Just A Dollar. Quite possibly there is a dollar in the cushions of your couch, Under the seat of your car? Its Just A Dollar. In your pocket right now. Laying around. Its Just A Dollar. Instead of giving a coffee chain a $1.50, you can give me a buck. Heck you can give me a $1.50 if you want. You can give more than that. As much as you like. I will accept all donations. Of course the money is a driving factor in me trying this. It is also somewhat of a social experiment to see if we as Human Beings have it in us to give and know that in return they will receive a feeling of good knowing they changed someones life for the better by coming together collectively. My name is Stephanie. Following the death of both my parents in a car accident 5 years ago August my health has been in a steady decline. I suffer from neurological issues that will soon have me in a wheelchair, and advanced COPD that means I have to have Oxygen continuously. Yesterday I had to go the doctors in 85 degree heat without any air conditioning in my van. By the time I got to the medical center and tried to find this new doctors location I ended up collapsing twice between the walking and breathing. I weigh 83 pounds at 5'5" and I can't carry the oxygen with me when I have to exit the vehicle. Ultimately I ended up in the emergency room.

I live with my daughter and grandson of 6 years. My grandson was in the car when my parents were killed and suffered a major brain injury at 13 months. I'm happy to report though that after months of hospitalization he is right as rain and is mad at me currently ;o) because I'm on my computer which he adores playing with. My daughter suffers from PTSD since the accident my parents were killed in. She cannot drive without someone in the car and she was going to go with me yesterday but the heat was so bad that we were concerned about Gavin in the back in my black 1994 Ford Astro van. It was just way too hot for him and with her PTSD we HAVE to go through town to get anywhere or she will lose it so there would not have been any steady air flow.

It's been a long 5 years. My parents and I jointly owned a duplex. Their deaths were the beginning of the most miserable time of my life. When I divorced it was jointly decided that it would better if I lived in the upstairs apartment so they could be there for the kids while I worked. Over 16 years we became so close that their deaths nearly destroyed me. I paid for the last 15 years on the note of the house, my buy in and we all lived there incredibly content and happy. My parents were my best friends.

After their deaths during the mortgage meltdown, credit locks, and the economic fallout my career of 16 years was one of the first to go. I worked in the non-profit sector designing programming for inner-city communities with a specific focus on youth. So 8 months after their deaths the funding streams I used for the programming dried up and a job I loved disappeared.

Life insurance was enough to cover their debt with a little left over because they didn't carry much but in the end I lost my home of 16 years to the insurance company that covered my daughters son through work when they filed a $ 90,000.00 lien against my home. So 7 months after losing my job I also lost a home I loved. So I experienced 3 deaths within the span of a little over a year.

Because I was unemployed so long and had to use my cards to keep the lights on so to speak my credit is not good. So I can't borrow the funds or even charge a repair for the car.

I can no longer go to doctors visits alone. I'm too weak to walk very far without help and I can't carry the oxygen canister on my own. So I need my daughter for these visits.

Like anyone with severe health issues I'm buried in bills but what I really need help on is funds that will me to fix the air conditioning in my van which despite it's age runs like a champ. I have a physicians assistant who comes into my home to work with my but getting to the specialists has become real concern.

My daughter even with her PTSD has reached a point where she doesn't want me going alone. I was supposed to call her when I reached the doctors the other day when I collapsed the 2nd time and they took me to the specialists office I asked the receptionist to call my daughter. She didn't and she left my daughter terrified that something horrible had happened to me. I don't carry a cell I can't afford one. My daughter was getting better about both driving and me driving myself; because of this receptionist my daughter has now had a huge set back. I have to see that doctor again next week and I can't take them without air conditioning so what I'm going to have to do is make sure I find someone that sit with my daughter while I'm gone to help keep her anxiety level low. I don't have any choice I have to get there. I won't have anyone to carry my oxygen but I'm hoping I can in there.

Anything you can do would be greatly appreciated. I am more than happy to pay it forward as soon as I can. I have been a lifelong contributor to various causes and I know people are in dire straights right now. We all need help in one form or another. I would never ask if I could do this myself. Please forgive me.

My car stopped on me, I have two kids here with me and I cannot be without my car. I'm begging for someone to please help me. I blew the engine driving it with no oil. There is no way that I can afford to have this car fixed. I asked someone to check the oil for me prior to this happening and I was told that there was oil in the car. I'm sorry. I promise I will never do it again. I am a single mom with no job and it's been so hard for me. I'd like to do something for someone else; I am friends with a family of 3 generations who has NEVER been on a vacation of any kind other than to the river to fish or to a movie because they are poor, have a large family, and just could never afford it. I'd like to take the patriarch, 3 of his sons, and 1 of those son's wife and 3 kids to Disney World, next year 2013, after all the new Fantasyland is done, and when they're doing the free meal plan. I need 2 packages for about $4000 each (moderate rooms with standard meal plan), or if we do it the dirt cheap room/quick meals only with no table meals or character buffets way, about $2000 each; any help is appreciated, as I am trying to pay for this MYSELF and I am on disability and staying at home every day and doing nothing and spending nothing for the next 2 years just so I can hopefully afford to pay some if not all of their trip. I have worked all my life and never asked for any help. I raised three children and never got food stamps, medicaid, etc. I am now physically unable to continue to work due to health issues. I know I am near the point of being terminated as I have to take medications that cause me to "nod" off or keep me in a fog. If I don't take the meds then the pain is unbearable. I owe $38,000 on a little house I bought. I was homeless for 2 1/2 years due to a layoff and I lost everything including my home. I don't have family or friends to help me. I am 60 years old and started working when I was 10. Lazy is not a part of my makeup. I don't know how long it will take to get SSD approval and I am scared to be homeless again. I don't have any savings or other resources to fall back on. I live on only the necessary requirements (no phone, no cable, no expensive foods, etc). I am missing too much work but the lawyer says I have to be totally off work before applying for SSD. I don't know how I can pay bills, not lose the home, etc if I am not working at all. I just need some help not to lose the house (it is not much but it is a home). The house will get me through as long as I will need it. I am just terrified of being homeless again. I have COPD, excessive narrowing of the spine, degenerative disk that are rapidly becoming worse (more than normal for my age), lose my balance, can't stand up straight, can't sit for long period of time, can't stand more than three minutes, neurological disorder that is causing me to "lose time" (can't find the answer to that one), need to stop driving as I don't know what happens during the losing time periods, episodes of slurred speach, numbness in my arms, hands, legs and feet. This is humiliating as I have always paid my own way and now I am facing this at my age. I need help and have nobody to turn to. I don't know if I wrote this correctly, begging is not an easy task. If there are people out there that really do help others in need then please read this with the understanding of what it is like to be alone in the world, facing being homeless again at my age. I need help with the house, utilities and just survival needs until I can get the SSD going. Thank you for your time.

I've never done this before(begging for help) but I'm desperate and at my wits end financially. I'm really struggling right now trying to catch up on overdue bills and buying food and basic necessities. The past few months have been really difficult, due to my father passing away..I spent alot of money on parking at the hospital as well as gas driving to and from to visit him. As well as Christmas being a HUGE financial burden...if anyone out there can help me out, I'd be forever grateful and most definitely pay it forward when I'm financially able to. I'm a single parent of four kids, ranging in age from 6 to 16 and unfortunately their father can't help as he's on a disability pension. My name is Lea all the way from Australia. I have 3 beautiful children that I am raising on my own. We fell on hard times just over 1 year ago. I am looking forward to starting work in 6 weeks time. This is the most positive I have been in a very long time. The problem I have is with my car. It is 14 years old and runs fine sometimes. Last year I spent $1000 repairing an oil leak and a few other mechanical problems. Now though the shocks have given in and the car is not safe to drive any more :(. Today was the worst I feel, it felt like I was on a boat at sea :(. The expense to replace them with labour costs is astronomical. I really don't have the money to foot this bill. The car isn't worth a lot and I thought it would be better and safer to buy another one given the constant repair bills. I have always driven it nicely and looked after it. The timing is not very good right now. In my part of the world cars are very expensive even for the most basic one. I don't need anything trendy just a car for the kids and I. I need it to commute 35 mins each way to work and be able to drop them off at school and daycare everyday. A road worthy vehicle like the one I have now (Toyota Camry Wagon) costs $3,500. For a few months I joined various on line opportunities that all promised to make me money but what happened instead was that I lost the last few hundred dollars I had on advertising which was intended to invite others to join. Unfortunately, it didn't work :(. Please, if there is anyone out there reading my story will you send just $1.00. I am going to the bank next week to find out about a loan but I am unlikely to get anything. I was driving my husbands other car but two weeks ago he had an accident resulting in his main car being written off. He has now had to take his car back. We are currently separated and he is in debt a mile high. To anyone who would like to see proof of the repairs my wheels need I will be happy to supply them to you. I have nothing to hide at all and this is a genuine request for help with a car. I am sure to anyone this is a massive request and I'm sorry about that. I really want to get back on my own two feet. Along with starting a new job I am also studying on line as an external student of my local university. For now though a helping hand however big or small will have the impact to change our direction in life. Without a road worthy set of wheels getting to work will be a really big problem.

In return I am willing to offer an eternal friendship :) Who doesn't need a friend? I would also like to send a little present, something Australian to anyone who will help me out. I suppose as my start day gets closer the more anxious I am becoming. This car issue is causing a lot of worry :(. As things improve and I trust they will in time I want to help others on here too. To let you know a little more about us: A few Sunday's a term I lead the preschool kids Sunday School at my Church. I love it very much. Being a lone parent is not easy at all but I have come along way after battling a lot of health issues brought on by my husbands departure. I also give away any clothing my children have outgrown to anyone I know of that needs them. I also share anything I bake as long as it tastes good :). I try to live by being kind to everyone myself as one never knows what battle someone else may be facing.

I am a single, Canadian-born mom who moved provinces to make a better life for my child (5) and myself. I sold/gave away everything we owned to accomplish this. My goals were to get a nice, safe place to live, DONE, get my child into school, DONE, get a good job, DONE. The literal day after I accepted my job, our car started mysteriously losing power in midst of driving. It is driveable from point A to point B generally but I need to park it for a minimum of 45 mins. for it to restart and I cannot go a long distance without it dying. I need it repaired in order to get to my assignments (I am a sub so I go wherever I am needed). I have run out of options, nothing of value to sell and no resources left. I need to get car fixed to get to work to get out of this Catch-22 situation. I am beyond shame at this point and am begging for whatever dollars you could spare to help me accomplish this goal.
