I recently got my Bachelor's Degree in Writing and English in Grand Rapids, MI. The economy out there is terrible, so I took a train to Seattle, WA. I'm currently staying with a friend in Bellevue.

Pretty soon here, I'm going to have no money. My friend wants rent money by June 1st - $400. I can't afford to eat and pay him rent at the same time.

I work hard to be a self-sufficient single mother. When I lost my job through no fault of my own, I contacted my Mortgage Company and asked them to work with me. They said they would give me a forebearance agreement but after submitting all the requested documents they didn't follow through. In August 2011 they did the robo-signing of my loan that resulted in my house being put into foreclosure. Fortunately at that time they didn't give me a sale date. Both my parents are deceased, my son is an straight A student that will have to go move to another state and stay with his father if I lose our home. The timing for the sale is very bad because I have two job interviews coming up April 30th. I need $20,000 to pay the bank's attorney fees and a years worth of arrearages. Hello to everyone taking there time to read my plea.

I am not looking for a handout, but rather a loan. I am currently in a combination of secured and unsecured debt for approximately $35,000.00. I would like to borrow this sum at a rate of 5.497%, with the interest compounding monthly. I am seeking assistance with my student account that is past due for the summer 2011 session. I am a single mom, full-time college student, and employed part-time (the last four to six weeks I have been working 30-35 hours per week). The space holds my family’s lifetime of irreplaceable documents and other valuable and very useful practical possessions, representing for me a legacy of work and living I’ve accumulated and experienced these 62 years, and intend to use for at least another 30 years. Many of the books, art work and other one-of-a kind collections I plan to leave for my sons and grandsons.

It's all I need. I've been unemployed for a while now and unable to find work. The unemployment rate in my state has remained at 10 percent and above for a very long time. I lost my home and was homeless for a little while. I know have a place to stay, but during my time in shelters and on the streets, I lost my identification. I just need $73 to cover the expense of ordering a new birth certificate and getting a new ID made. Without these documents, I'm no one. I can't apply for work, I can't apply for assistance, I can't do anything. Please help.

I hate this. I don't think I've ever asked for help in my life and I feel a little ashamed for doing so. I'm bawling, and angry at myself and well, at just about everything right now.

My husband and I have been married for four years and we recently bought our first house together. (Well, condo actually because we can't afford a house.)

My husband suffers from severe depression and anxiety. While it can fluctuate, currently he's on a downward spiral. This is the worst I've seen him in the 8 years I've known him. It's been absolutely heartbreaking to see him like this. We have him seeing a psychiatrist and a therapist - the psychiatrist keeps prescribing medications that our prescription drug plan doesn't cover (mostly because he's tried entirely too many things) and are expensive. He's seeing a therapist once a week that we're paying for out of pocket as well. We started him in an anger management class but we can no longer afford it. For the past 3 months or so, it's been very difficult just to get through day-to-day activities for him, and it's taking it's toll on me as well.

Anyway, when we moved we used most of our 'extra' money for all the unexpected costs associated with buying a new home. (Silly first-time homebuyers. We had no idea what to expect.) So we were stretched pretty thin to begin with. Now, after being here a few months we find that our car insurance will be increasing by 50%. (Apparently we should have stayed in the city - we thought moving away from it would be better!) Not only that but we will have to pay the difference on our policy for the few months retroactive to the tune of $900 each month for June and July. Unfortunately since our little nest egg was used in all the 'new home' expenses, we just don't have anything extra to cover this. We tried to cancel the car insurance to just take the bus for awhile, but since our car is financed they won't let us do that.

Then... I lost my job on May 27th. We were given less than 24 hours notice that the company was closing. I was working at an at-home position, which was so perfect for me as I too suffer from depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and migraines, so working from home was always a blessing. I'm unable to apply for unemployment as my job was self-contracted (basically paid under the table and I was to file tax documents at the end of the year).

To add insult to injury, my company has not yet paid us for the PREVIOUS paycheck owed, nevertheless our final paychecks.

My mortgage is due, my condo fees are due, my student loans are due, of course there is the car payment and insurance due, the groceries are running low. My husband has stopped taking his medication, stopped going to anger management classes, and we've cut his therapist down to once every other week. We've already cut unnecessariy things like cable, tried adjusting our budget, etc but we just can't make it through these next two months, especially if I don't get paid or I don't find a job right away.

I'm desperately seeking a new job, but in the meantime our bills are piling up and we just can't pay them since I haven't been paid in a month. I don't know what to do. I know things will get better. They have to. But right now I'm having a hard time convincing myself of anything otherwise... We just need to get back on our feet.

I am a British citizen who has run out of savings waiting for my immigration papers to come through. My fiancé has 3 kids and I feel like I have been a burden to her over the past few months. I have caused her to go into debt supplying food, personal items and clothing. I need donations to help pay back the approx 3000.00 debt I have caused her for paying immigration fees and taking care if me. My fiancé and I have started to struggle lately. He is a British citizen and is waiting for his immigration docs to come so he can legally work here. It's going to take another year for his documents to be finalized. He has run out of his savings and have had to rely on my credit cards to buy groceries. It's been extremely hard supporting a family of 5 on my income. My credit cards are maxed out and my line of credit is on it's way to the max.
