I really hate begging, but it's my last hope. I was working full time and just barely staying afloat with my basic bills (electric, rent, car insurance). I got injured at my work a month ago and haven't been able to return to work. It's doctor visit and testing over and over again. I am currently fighting to get workman's comp but they said it may be a while. I am a single mother and a 3 year old. She has medicaid and we get food stamps, but I haven't been able to get any other assistance.... either there's an extremely long wait or they're not taking applications. We also do not get any child support, her father is a deadbeat. I have no family to turn to either. I need help with my rent for just this month to keep a roof over our heads. It's $450 . Please help, any little bit will help. God bless.

In need of prayers...and donations. I have been battling chronic pain for about 8 years. This has progressively gotten worse and caused more horrible symptoms and is ultimately interfering with my quality of life. I REFUSE to take any type of Rx medications for pain. I have resorted to taking Goody's powders which only cause more issues but they are the only thing that offer ANY relief. I do not have health insurance and frankly don't really like going to doctors. I finally broke down and went to the doctor in early April and was told that I have adhesions (internal scar tissue) from a previous surgery that was causing the pain and needed a Lap procedure done to remove it. The cost of this procedure is approximately $6000. I have a job,, my husband has a job but neither offer health insurance and there is just no way with three children and our other bills to save up this much money. We have tried and every time we do something comes up and the money has to be used elsewhere. I just want my life back. I want to be able to play with my boys like I used to instead of only feel like laying around so that I don't hurt AS bad. I want to be able to stop taking Goody's before they cause more problems with my stomach. I want my life back! I don't even care if it's just a $1 donation...it's more towards surgery than I have now.

Due to sun exposure prior to being 18 years old (so my doctors says) has caused me to have some skin cancer spots on my face and arms. I would like to have them treated, but do not have any additional monies at the end of the month to put toward medical expenses. I am hoping to have these treatments sooner than later so I do not have any tissue loss due to cutting out the cancerous areas. My friend lost a portion of his nose and ears due to skin cancer and I am hoping to avoid the same out come.

It is the first time of my life to acting this way, but we are so desperate that I decide anything to save my mom. We need help of any good soul to save my mom's life. She is 62 years old, a wonderful woman who worked really hard for her family for long time...she's has a diabetic rethinopathy in both eyes and doctors says she needs a surgery as fast as possible to save her sight. Unfortunately there is no technology appropriate where she is living, so she need to travel to have a chance to get appropriate care. And the cost of the surgery is pretty much expansive that we can not afford it by ourselves. She already lost her autonomy and every single day is playing against her. This surgery is the last chance to save my lovely mother from blindness. I am asking your help for any amount you can afford to help us get this surgery done. I want to believe that all the kindness I would receive from you will come back to you multiplied.

My boyfriend is a 36 year old disabled veteran. He has regular doctors appointments every week. The drive is a 4 hour round trip for each appointment. If he has to miss an appointment because we can't afford the gas it takes months to reschedule it(the VA medical system is busy). I am a single mother of four and eight months pregnant. I lost my job in Jan. due to "too many call-ins" I was a busser at a sophisticated buffet in a Casino therefore could not lift anymore heavy bus tubs. It was starting to harm my baby. As a result of me having to be call in to go to doctor's appointments and check-ups, I was terminated. I've been seeking other employment although it is difficult for anyone to hire due to I am at my Last month. At this time I am help for my rent. My Daughter is 6 with severe autism, she has never spoke. She is in diapers and drinks pediasure for her nourishment. We had to take her to a long awaited doctors appointment. Hello everyone, my name is Ryan and I am 18 years old. I live in Baltimore, Maryland. I suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after witnessing the sudden death of the closest person to me in the ENTIRE world, my best friend who lost his life 7 months ago. Many times I become anxious or depressed, and my SSRI medication allows me to function in a normal society. I am currently and constantly looking for work, however I have been unsuccessful in the past few weeks. I can no longer afford to pay for my medicines, and I can not afford to pay for my doctor visits. Without getting back on my medications it will be difficult to acquire a job and without income I may end up homeless. When my daughter was born in January of 2011 she had to be extracted via a fast emergency c-section. She had been engaged in the birth canal but she disengaged herself and the umbilical cord came out. The doctor was concerned that the cord was strangling her and took my wife to emergency surgery. My daughter survived and is now healthy. My wife developed an infection from the procedure and spent three months with a wound vac and endured two more procedures to try and remove the infection. In the time since I have changed jobs and moved my family back to where I grew up so we could get help with child care for both the baby and her 6 year old half sister from my parents because of the costs of day care. My wife can no longer work. I tried for several months to sell my home. When the opportunity presented itself I moved my family and ceased making the payments on the home I was trying to sell. It is now being foreclosed on. We are covered up with medical bills both from her past before we were married and also from the procedures to stop her infection and also credit card bills that are partially thanks to my ex-wife. After reading through this site I have decided that I guess I am not too proud to ask for help from compassionate people. Please contact me if you have any questions or thoughts on my situation.

Hello, I am so uncomfortable doing this. I am a 42 year old woman with two wonderful toddler boys ages 3 and 2. My troubles started in 2010 during my pregnancy with my second child. I became very sick and the doctors were unable to find the cause. During the search for a cause I was diagnosed with Lymphoma, but the cause was finally identified when I gave birth two months prematurely. I will not go into graphic detail, but I came out of the hospital 7 weeks later,with shortbowel syndrome and other serious problems. My son thankfully was fine and is thriving. I worked for a government agency for 16 years, and suddenly found myself surviving on disability. I must add that my husband was not much of a help. We are currently seeking to get divorced after 5 years of marriage. Through my illnesess he has been verbally, emotionally and on occasion physically abusive. I prolonged the divorce due to my health conditions and he is a good father to our children. My, what I thought was an upstanding, husband lost his job in 2009 and has not worked since but some small jobs. Even though he has worked, he has barely contributed to supporting the family. I have managed to keep the family afloat by paying the critical bills. What I haven't been able to pay is:

*our monthly condo maintanence fee of $258.00 for the past 3 months.
*I have a $160.00 car insurance payment due on 6-10-12, this will keep my paid until 10-10-12.
*The divorce attorney is asking for a $2500.00 retainer.
*June health insurance of $555.00.
*The numerous unpaid medical expenses.

I make it happen with the rest of the things my boys and I need. In July of 2012 I will recieve Medicare, since I will then have been on disability for 2 years. I think that will make things somewhat easier on me. As a note, lymphoma is not being treated right now. Thank goodness the nodules have remained stable, though if there is any change I will probably have to start some sort of treatment.

Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated. Since almost dying in 2010, I have a renewed faith in God (though I have always been a believer). I know that God walks beside me and my children and the He watches over us. Prayers to all that are on this site, whether asking for help or giving it.

My kid brother is a 29 year old who is dieing from End Stage Kidney Decease. His Dr said the following:
that he is terminal, he needs help and I need help to provide for him as he has no income and can not work. He has been staying with me since just before Christmas(about three months after he was diagnosed), He spends most of his day dealing with hospitals and the nights going to dialysis treatments then back home. he is applying for SSI and SSD but still no word as of yet. In the mean time I need help to purchase the medical equipment his doctors have required him to have at home, also we need clothing for him as the last 3 clothing banks I have gone to near our home have had nothing his size. His diet is a dialectic renal diet and I can no longer afford to provide foods that meet it's stringent standards with out help. He dose not qualify for pre-SSI as he has no children. We have tried everything and now must resort to begging for help. We need a bed, bedding, a Fridge, clothing, activities(Batman themed), food, a new kidney would be nice. The list goes on, Please help If you can I can provide letters from his DR as proof.
This has put a strain on all of us both physically and emotionally But I love my kid brother our parents are dead so we have no one to turn to.

Hi I am a mom of 3 children, 1 a special needs child. I work as a nurse assistant but it only covers about half of our needs. I work hard and do my best every day and try to keep a smile and a good attitude but sometimes your best just isn't good enough. My special needs baby is 8 years old and is speech impaired, deaf in one ear, severely asthmatic, and has ADHD. Medicaid pays for most of the meds and specialists but not all. I pay for some of his meds and specialists and then there's the gas to go to and from. All in all I'm spending about $800 per month that medicaid is refusing. I haven't been able to get an answer why as of yet. I've applied for social security for him but have been denied twice and now am awaiting a hearing which I am told could be anywhere between 18 and 21 months just to get a hearing date. I only make about $1500 per month so simple things like even a trip to the laundromat is a challenge. Apart from my son's problems I also have 2 baby girls aged 9 and 6 to take care of. Thanks be to God they are healthy. All of my family has passed away due to various forms of cancer so it's just my children and my husband and self. He is out of a job presently and has been seeking work since being laid off from his last job (about 7 months). I have applied for a pell grant and registered for LPN classes at the local community college to try to help myself but it will take about 15 months to finish school let alone get a job. I've managed to pay rent but am 2 months behind on the internet bill (used for school) am 5 months behind in car payments and am at risk of a repo any day. If I lose my car then how am I going to be able to go to work,school, take the kids to school, take the kids to the doctor,grocery shop, do laundry, or anything else? I currently do not have auto insurance because I can't afford it.(was cancelled for nonpayment 2 days ago.) I managed to pay my water and cell(about $100) to keep that going. I am almost a month behind on my electricity but have managed to keep it going by paying about half the bill per month. As of now, I have a balance of $150. I don't know what to do. If anyone would please help us I would be forever grateful and appreciative.

Recently, I was kicked out of my parents house and dropped as a dependent. This means I lost all of my insurance to go along with it. I take many medications per day, including meds for migraines, fibromyalgia, bipolar and panic disorder, insomnia. However, the most important reasons I need my meds are for my endometriosis. I was diagnosed at 17 when I had surgery due to the severe pain I had been going through for years, and the doctor's comments were that my case was the worst he had ever seen - especially in someone so young. My most recent doctor acknowledged that I would need to have a historectomy early due to the endo. He also stated that I would need to conceive soon to ensure that I could get pregnant at all. I have been on Depo Lupron for a while but have not finished my treatment to clear up my endo. Now I do not have the money to receive the shots. I'm really hoping I will be able to conceive...

Hi my name is Ashley and i am 23 years old, and i am a mother to a beautiful 2 year old baby girl alexandria. Every month i have a doctors appointment that costs $150, i am behind and owe 4135 and my next appointment is may 29th and by that time i need $285 to be seen. in a couple of weeks i will be homeless. after becoming unemployed two years ago i was living off money which i had from cashing in my retirement account. after taking a couple of months for leisure ( i hadn't had an actual vacation, aside from a long weekend here or there, for the past 12 years) i was in the beginning phase of starting a small business. then i had a heart attack. i had surgery to place a stent in one of my arteries. it seems that i was born with a twisted artery and had been living with it all my life suffering no ill effects. according to my doctor artery walls are fairly thin and pliable when one is young, but as a person ages the walls thicken and become less pliant. when you combine these two factors with the twist of the artery, the result is a cutoff of the flow of blood to the heart. my doctor said that had i waited another day to come into the hospital, i would have died. while the surgery left me weak, it was the anti-rejection medication that i was on which was the problem. it left me so tired and weak, that after a walk to and from the local bodega just two blocks from my apartment , after i walked in the door i had to lay the bags down and sit and rest for a half hour or more, before i could put groceries away or even thinking about standing up and preparing food. quite a change from when i was biking 5 miles a day/ five days a week and lifting weights several times a week. my bank account was swiftly drained due to the cost of the hospital stay/surgery, and to the cost of medications ($130/month).
once i was off the anti-rejection meds and feeling well enough to work, i began searching for a job seeing as my hope of starting a business drained away with the money in my bank account. but unfortunately, with the economy the way it is, i have been unsuccessful in my search. i am now virtually penniless and am being evicted from my apartment. i am have sold off what few possessions i have in order to have some cash to buy the things i need for living on the streets, but the accumulated amount came to less than $100.

I am 19 years old and i live in an apt with my boyfriend. I also just found out i was pregnat and there is a chance of me being kicked out my apt. i had to spend my rent on other bills and my doctors bill so now i have no money. I have no family to help me and i cant get approved for a loan because i have no credit so any amount would help me right now. I need $650 please help!!!

I'm about to be 51 years old and never thought I'd do something like this, but here goes.

I am disabled from a car wreck with a semi, among other conditions. I was on disability for 15 years, but lost it almost 5 years ago because the guy I roomed with was always gone and was supposed to take me to my doctor and Social Security review appointments. Then he got us thrown out of the apartment because he had hoarded his paychecks, was living off my money, and wasn't paying the rent or bills. He left me with a $1600 light bill ! I didn't find out any of this until we were evicted.

I have been homeless ever since, for nearly 5 years, bounced around from place to place, unable to stay in one place long enough to get thru the Social Security application process - I had to start all over again. In 2010, I spent 8 month living in a closet in Columbus, OH and starved.

I had a Social Security hearing in Lexington, KY last August and was dropped off at a horrible homeless shelter in Lexington, to stay until my hearing, when I was assured by a 'free' lawyer I'd get my disability back. I didn't and now I've been trapped in this gulag for more than 10 months, among druggies, alcholics, and ex-cons dumped off here by the police and the Dept. of Corrections. The building is infested wih bedbugs and there is black mold everywhere, which caused me to have an inner ear infection that finally blew a hole in my eardrum since I couldn't get treated for it. Men sleep on the floors and the bathroom is a chamber of horrors. I've had food poisoning 4 times and a couple months ago, more than 40 men sought treatment for food poisoning. The nurse who reported the cases to the Health Dept suddenly left, while the cook remains at work. A Veteran's Admin rep said he wouldn't give the food served here to his dog.

I'm trapped here because Kentucky discriminates against men in that it will not give us Medicaid cards unless we're already on Social Security. This prevents me from having a family doctor and care for my disabilities, which I need in order to win back my benefits. Under these conditions, I will never be able to get out of this nightmare.

I have a friend in Florida who wants me to come down there. FL will give me a Medicaid card and I could at least have a fighting chance to win my disability back. As I've said; I was on it for 15 years and was repeatedly approved every 2 years during the case reviews. I need to get out of this awful state if this nightmare is ever to end. I've lost almost 11 months of my life being warehoused in a place that's one step above prison, and I've done nothing wrong to deserve this. Yet I'm subject to the same rules and restrictions as the ex-cons who live on the floors above me.

I have no family left to fall back on, so all I can do is ask for help. I need money to get to FL so I can get a doctor and my disabillity back, and have a life again. It will cost around $500 to get my things shipped to Orlando, and another $200 to get me there. Then I'd need somewhere to stay until I can get thru the Social Security process again. After that, I'd be OK.

Thank you for reading all this any any help offered would change my life. I would do everything I could to help other homeless men so as to give back help given me when I most needed it.
