I feel very uncomfortable coming like that asking money to people I even do not know. It is the first time of my life to acting this way, but we are so desperate that I decide anything to save my mom. We need help of any good soul to save my mom's life. She is 62 years old, a wonderful woman who worked really hard for her family for long time...she's has a diabetic rethinopathy in both eyes and doctors says she needs a surgery as fast as possible to save her sight. Unfortunately there is no technology appropriate where she is living, so she need to travel to have a chance to get appropriate care. And the cost of the surgery is pretty much expansive that we can not afford it by ourselves. She already lost her autonomy and every single day is playing against her. This surgery is the last chance to save my lovely mother from blindness. I am asking your help for any amount you can afford to help us get this surgery done. I want to believe that all the kindness I would receive from you will come back to you multiplied.

I am a single mom living with my parents. I am helping out with the finances as much as I can. My sister is also living with my parents and is unable to find a job. She has 3 kids that are here sometimes. My other sister is graduating college (today) and has so far been unable to get a job. My mom is a retired school teacher and my dad is a soon to be retired farmer as he is no longer capable of the physical labor. As you can see money is VERY tight. My mom has had some major health problems and right now we have a $2300 hospital bill over our head as well as $130 in additional medical bills. She is diabetic and has recently been diagnosed with bleeding retinas and could go blind at any time. I am trying to get the money together to get the hospital paid off so we can take her to the Grand Canyon which has always been her dream.

I am the custodial parent of 3 children, a daughter that's 17, and 2 boys, 14 and 9. I have been divorced for 3yrs. now, tending to the everyday needs, for my children and their school activities. My ex-wife had turned diabetic, from giving birth to the children and had fallen into a severe case of post-pardon depression, due to the diabetic condition that had worsened as the children were born, which turned her to alcohol. As most of us know, alcohol and diabetes do not mix, at first I was unaware, of how severe this can be, but as time progressed, we could see the roller-coaster personality shine through. After hearing from others about the way some things were being handled by her, such as pinning them down on the ground, to brush their teeth, or ripping a brush through my daughters hair in the morning before school, I needed to do something about it. This was hard to see at first, since I was at work everyday on a 45-50hr. work week. One particular event, that has been a soar spot with my daughter, was a few days before Christmas, when she was helping decorate the tree and had started to put the tinsel on before the ornaments. Her mom, was into about her 2nd drink, which had brought her sugar-level up, started screaming at her about putting the ornaments on first, and just about ripped her arms off, tearing the tinsel out of her hands!!! Last year, was the first year, after spending many hours with her, that she was brave enough to help decorate the tree.

My oldest son, now 14, has had some very bad experiences, that had put so much stress on him that he started pulling his hair out, until he was completely bald on top of his head !!! The stress was caused by being constantly screamed at for things, that he was even doing. The last thing that really broke the camels back was, when he was trying to restrain his mother during a delirious diabetic overload of sugar, which had skyrocketed, to over 600. She began kicking him, until she kicked him right down the steps and he had to come back up and body slam her down on the floor, we all saw the UGLIER side of diabetes that night !!!!! The E.R. was called in and they strapped her down on a stretcher, deemed her delusional, then rushed her off to the hospital. Their mother decided after that happened, that it would be a good idea to leave the family and doesn't have much contact with her children. I've spent a lot of time with them, working through some of the traumatic episodes, that they encountered and have lost a lot of time for employment. Now that I have been unemployed for quite sometime and being a man in this position, getting assistance or help is almost impossible. I get the feeling that men with children are discriminated, there are no programs in place by the government for men with children. I am now up against all odds, the roof on our house needs to be shingled, every time it rains we see piles of gravel on the ground and my vehicle is on it's last leg. The utilities are always in shut off status and I'm now falling into foreclosure, due to being behind on the house payments for heavens sake, let alone the kids being sick from time to time, because of the old and deteriorating carpet in our house, so I'm being told by the doctors.

My name is Donna and my husband,Tom,is a disabled diabetic. He has been diabetic for 20 years and for the past 7 years, he has been totally unable to walk. He gets SSI but it is not much. I ork but only for minimum wage. Our car stopped running on Feb. 14 and we do not have the extra finances or credit to be able to buy another one. As a result, he has not been to a doctor since to get refills on his medicines or insulin needles. He is getting sicker every day. I would like to get out and look for a better job but can't do that either. I have to push him in the road if he wants to go anywhere otherwise, I walk to the grocery store to buy food. We are behind in all of our bills but only a little bit. We just need someone would could help us with a car and a little to pay up our bills. This has been really hard on my husband. He feels depressed and useless because there is nothing he can do to help and is basically stuck in the apartment. Without his medicine, it gets worse every day. His blood sugar has been staying over 600 and I have no way to get it back down to an acceptable level. It is causing havoc with the rest of his body also. We desperately need a car to get him help. We have 3 grown sons but two are barely making it themselves and the third is in the National Guard and going through a divorce so he is unable to help also. I am a type 1 diabetic and I'm only 25 its hard on me right now. I do work two jobs but thats only enough money for my medications and test strips and doctor visits. I hav tried applying for medical cards and etc. but I'm always denied and its very discuraging to me. but right now my problem is my teeth they are getting really bad and I need to get them fixed, all I know is that they said it would be about $200 for each tooth to get pulled witch i need 4 pulled and after that I need the rest filled and fixed witch is like another $1,000 wow thats alot..not done yet then when thats done I'll need implants or fake teeth, partial dentures, what ever they call them because the teeth they will pull are my mollers (i cant spell) i wont hav any mollers to chew with :(.dont know what else to do, I'v never asked for help befor, someone told me about asking for help online so here I am. I'm just hoping sombody willing to help reads this PLEASE PLEASE help me! I'm scared and I dont know what else to do!!!

I am a Type 1 diabetic. I have been diabetic for several years now, but I have struggled to cope with the condition. I am not in a good place, but my doctor has told me that by getting an insulin pump, I will be able to handle my condition better and I will be less ill. I need £3000 to buy the pump. If anyone is generous enough, that would be great. This will change my life. I hope that finally my luck in this world will change.

i have recently lost my sister,3 days after her funeral i was put in the hospital with a bone infection and diabetic ulcers on my foot. i have no insurance or prescription coverage. i am not allowed to work ,which for me is terrible i love my job as a home health worker. i have not worked in 2 months i have no money comming in i have no money for my utilities or rent,i have an eviction notice and i am afraid i don 't know how long it will be before i can go back to work i had part of my right big toe amputated and now the toe next to it is getting an infection i have never in my life had to ask for help i am always the one to give the help. i hate to wake up each day because i am sinking like the titanic and dont know what to do i would be so appreciative of any help that anyone could give, i am running out of my insulin it is 200 a bottle and i take 2 different types i also have very bad diabetic neuropathies and take medicine to stop that pain but the medication is very expensive . i do not know where to turn all i can do is cry and hope and pray that someone will help i do have evidence to back all that i say ,i would not try to scam anyone out of money, someone please help me till i can get back on my feet thank you i can be reached at lishamills@aim.com thank you and god bless

Life is so bad. Lost my job and I'm 58 noone will hire or even reply to my resumes. My husband is handicap and 73, just had open heart surgery so he can't work. We live only on his Social Security and this state says we make too much for assistance. Hum, let them try to live on it. This month we are living on $20 for 3 weeks. Always late on rent. Waiting for phone, TV to be disconnected which happens regularly. Groceries, well go to food pantry to help. Worked all my life and can't believe this is happening. I just sit in my chair most of the time if I'm not crying or having panic attacks. Can't afford insurance or meds, so go to free clinic when I can get in. I'm diabetic, heart issues, lung issues, etc and playing russian roulette, but what can I do. Hope nothing major happens because I have no insurance and can't afford hospital bills, guess I see my parents earlier in heaven.
Anyone if you can help, please please please help us. Anything will help. I've written Ellen so many times but she must think we are worth the help, old folks that we are.

I am a 50 year old man.I take care of my mom as to shes been a tempamental diabetic since she was 31.She also has severe neropathy.After my fiancee had paseed away in 2004,I was left to sell our house and to start a business so I take care of my mom and work.The idea I had was to do lawn care,painting-interior and exterior homes,haul unwanted items to the dump for customers I acquired from my business I started after selling my house.I was able to persue my dream business in LawnCare ,and was able to provide my mom with the assitence she needed. Since 2006 I have saved her life more times than I have fingers and toes.This job is also conveinent because if my mom or someone calls me with an medical or any kind of accident emergency I can leave my job to help, return to finish it after I am done.My customers are aware of that precedure since I informed them when I acquired them as customers.Since 2006 when I started my business and purchashed all my equipment needed for the lawn care business,some of the important pieces of equipment had stopped working such as my lawn tractor and weed eater. I still have my pick-up truck and trailer,blower,hedge trimmers,and push lawn mower.I am behind on my property tax due to not being able to work as well.I still have all my customer contacts and willing to get more when I can advertise again, but I'm sure I have lost some since I have'nt been able to work.I hope someone can help me get back on my feet I will be much appreciative to them as I will offer you free service due from my greatfulness ! I have been homeless on and off for almost 3 years. Even though I do receive food stamps, I have no other income. I am a diabetic and also take psychiatric medications. The insulin and needles are $7.50 each, and my 2 psych meds are $2.50 each, for a total of 20 dollars per month.

Hello My name is Philip McIntire and we are needing help getting insulin and medication for my wife to keep her alive. My wife is a type 1 diabetic on an insulin pump that she has had for 10 yrs. We only have a months supply of insulin left and it is required for my wife to live. I have a full time job, but it does not provide any type of insurance at all. We are living from paycheck to paycheck and when we have to go to the doctor, we have to decide which bills will not get paid that month. Each bottle cost about $120 a piece and it requires a prescription to get it. Each doctors visit is at least $70 just for the visit. Then the insulin alone is almost $500 a month for her to survive. I really love my wife and I want her to live as long as she can. This is a last ditch effort as the other assistance programs have failed due to me having a job. Am a 28 year old from Africa with one kid. My huband threw me out of the house simply because he met a younger prettier woman with whom he sired a kid while we were still married/living together. He wants nothing to do with me and our 5 year old son. Now i have moved back home to my mother's house, I have to pay for my son's schooling, buy his food, keep clothes on his back and yet i have no job. I have been looking for a job for the last 4 months to no avail. I have a Bachelor's degree but i have no experience and connections the 2 critical ingredients to getting a job on this side of the world. The only little money i had when i was chased away from my matrimonial house i used it to pay for my son's school fees for the first term of the year and now he's closed school for Easter i have no idea how am going to raise school fees for next term which resumes in a few weeks. I'd like some help starting over, money for paying rent deposit and rent plus also money for my son's schooling as i look for a job. I found out a few weeks ago that my Dad has stage 4 terminal cancer. He is 88 a diabetic and also has heart issues. His health is too frail to under go any surgery and he is most likely going to refuse chemo. It is his dying wish to see his daughter and her family one last time. It is my goal to do anything and everything to make this happen. We just need enough for 3 round trip airline tickets. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.

I was in the hospital for months fighting this and was told I would not live. I am lucky to be alive 15 years later. However the staph damaged my heart. It enlarged it and over time I developed heart failure in 2004. Then I became diabetic in 2005. The staph also destroyed bone in my chest. I had to have my sternum removed. I also developed irregular heart beats leaving me dizzy most of the time. This left me disabled on Social Security and medicare (which I appreciate but dont like being on "the system .. its wrong). Before this I always work 60 to 100 hours a week. Which also contributed my poor health. In 2008 I had my second heart attack (a minor one). It was actually lucky for me. Doctors installed a defibrillator with pacing technology. My dizzy spells were finally under control. Since then I have been working hard to build strength so I can go back to work and have a normal productive life. My car ..is no longer road worthy. Needs about $2300 in repairs. Now I have trouble making appointments to my Cardiologist, primary care Physician and physical therapy. This year i have missed 6 doctors appointments and had to stop all therapy. I also have trouble picking up medication on time so i go with out them sometimes up to a week. I get $1500/mo from Social Security. $96 of that goes toward medicare insurance premium. My rent is $500/mo. My medications are $400/mo and that is with prescription help. With out that help my meds are $1476. My utilities run $400/on average. The rest I spend on food, car insurance and medical bills ($3000 which i pay $25 to $100/mo when i can). I am asking for any help. If I don't get help my health will continue to decline. I will die within a year or two. I just starting gaining muscles back in my legs and arms I still have a long way to go. I need to get cardiac therapy to make my heart stronger. It isn't something I can do at home because I need to be monitored the whole time. Please help. Time is important I have already lost 5 months of therapy and i am getting weaker. I beg you. Please.

My family has hit a financial crisis and looking for help. My husband and I have a 4 year old son and he is autistic and recently became diabetic on December 9th 2011. He was in the hospital for 5 days and I ended up missing almost two weeks of work at my temp job to be with him and to learn everything I need to learn to take care of him properly. We were evicted from our apartment due to lack of funds. My temp job also ended in January and we are now living with family. My ultimate dream is to provide David with a house to grow up in. I am saving for a down payment on a house; any help we can get would be awesome and very appreciated. Nothing is to small to go towards my savings account for the down payment.

I am a 35 year old diabetic women. I have three kids and im a single mother. I just started back working and going to school to get my bachalors degree. I have rent and car payment that are behind. I have been trying to burrow 1000 dollars to catch them up until i can get going good on my job. I dnt have family here its just me and my kids. Can someone please help us. Like so many people on this site everyone is in a bad situation, I too have fallen by the waist side in this economic crisis.

I'm a healthy, young woman who has a family to provide for I am the sole supporter/contributor. They depend on me for everything from shelter, food, clothing, transportation to/from, etc. I became unemployed several months ago because of budget cuts. I took heed to my elder's warning me to save, save, save for a rainy day...well, those rainy days have since turned into months and the bills are piling high up to the ceiling. We are on the verge of being evicted, electricity being turned off (very necessary because two of my family members are diabetic, must keep the insulin cold), not to mention being able to provide the medication for my sick loved ones and the car(which our main source of transportation) being REPO'd.

I have been on it seems like 100 interviews, but to no avail. I have been doing odd jobs here and there, but they come once in a blue moon. Nothing stable has surfaced.

I am a single mother in need of help I am still recovering from the loss of everything I owned due to a personal tragedy .My mama and other other family members also could use some help .I am in bad health but am willing to work for any donations as much as I am physically able to.It would sure be a blessing to get some of the things we need to get ahead to the point where we could have a better quality of life.My child is about to have a birthday coming up and I would love to be able to give him something .I am also about to move into a new place cause I am staying with family and they are no longer going to be able to help me for they are very poor themselves ,so I will to move out and will need beds ,houshold items ,and many other things when I move . I will list below .I am first and foremost in need of food my ID expired and I have had difficuly getting up to the DMV to renew it so I am not going to be able to apply for food stamps until I can get up there and renew it problem is I dont have the money to renew it .I worked my whole life until now and hate to ask for help but my health and personal problems with being a victim of domestic violence and failing health has been a real set back .I know some will judge me and think I am a bad person for placing this ad but that is on them not me ,I am just simply trying to get some help for my family ,I am not asking for cash ,or anything elaborate just things my family needs .
