Posted by HelpACS on 2012-05-20 23:58:53
I am willing to trade services/work for whatever I can get, I design logos, websites and more, you can see my portfolio at raisincanearts.com that way I will be earning instead of begging.... really need help please someone, anyone this is not a scam, I need money any amount helps as long as it brings me closer to that $725 but that is my end goal. I don't have any friends or family that can help me so this is really my last resort. If you need any graphic design in exchange for donation my email is canr.raisincanearts@yahoo.com. Thank you

Disabled Writer/Artist Needs New Computer To Keep Writing And Become Self Sufficient
Posted by AspiringtoGrace on 2012-03-03 10:58:41
Please take a chance, knowing that what you give will have a real effect that will help me to help others!
THANK YOU!
They say these things should be short, but I will take a chance in giving you the whole picture. Thanks for reading!
In 2009, I was made homeless by Hurricane Ida in Virginia. That same year, I became disabled with COPD, sciatica and fibromyalgia. It has been a long, slow process of recovery, pain, poverty, and the accompanying humiliation. I have had to give up my car, my cottage, and my job.
However, thanks to the efforts of very dear friends and some self-made luck I finally have a stable living situation, and the strength to embark on a new career as a writer and self-publisher of Spiritual and New Age materials.
Writing is where I find my greatest joy, (followed closely by my painting) and my experiences have given me rewards of perspective that makes the challenges I still contend with somehow worth it. I'm looking to help others find the inner strength and hope that I found through my own crisis.
You can read some of my writing at my blog:
http://grace-in-search-of-grace.blogspot.com/
My computer, however, is almost 8 years old and between the "pages not responsive" and "Chrome has crashed", system crashes and stalls, etc it routinely takes me up to 3 hours to upload anything to the site. I have very limited energy, and this can take up an entire day.
The the age of the machine means that it is limited in terms of upgrades and networking.
I've learned and done all I can to keep it running this long, but now I need a new one if I am going to be able to do the kind of heavy-duty publishing and posting to make it in this field and become self-sufficient.
I am looking for $5,000+ to cover the following costs:
*computer
*printer/scanner/fax
*paper
*toner and ink
*website hosting for a year
*Domain Registration
*Non-profit status registration
*Dedicated phone line
*Art supplies for graphic design
*Photoshop software
*Print-on-demand membership for 1 year
Anything is greatly appreciated!
I will do my utmost to pay it forward to those who are also in need.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Help in paying for interior design course
Posted by interiordesigner on 2012-01-26 02:58:43
I am a single mum wanting to give her daughter a more comfortable life. I studied psychology for 2 years but then lost my job and couldn't finish my degree, so decided that I need to do something so I can open my own businesss one day. I was told that I have a good eye for decorating etc so have decided to do a course in interior design. The course starts later this year but unfortunately I don't have enough money to pay for it. Any amount would help and who knows, I might help you decorate your house/office one day. See it as an investment in a business.
I have promised myself that once I'm back on my fee I would then help someone else, the same way people helped me.
Thank you for reading my blog!!!
xx
Please help me fund my dream!
Posted by Modusoperandi on 2012-01-20 21:58:17
I recently started up my own opera company and I am looking to fund our inaugural production of Cosi fan tutte. I am seeking funding within the region of $6000 in total but all assistance is most appreciated.
The action has been updated to modern day Italy, we have our whole cast and venue up and ready to go. But the dream will vanish if we cannot get the money behind it.
You can find out more details about the project here:
http://www.pozible.com.au/index.php/archive/index/4727/description/0/0
We have a performance target date of March 18 2012 for the venture which is why we are looking for the money immediately. This is the best date to tie in with our venue, the beautiful Makers Market at Abbotsford.
Funds include costuming and props, set design, hiring chamber orchestra and instruments, publicity, payment of director and music director, buying rights to specific images and creating posters and programmes. The artists, including myself, are NOT making any money from the venture and are giving up their time for free.
I am a highly motivated self-starter with extensive experience in both the practical and administrative side of the arts. In return for your valuable help I am able to assist you to get your own business projects up off the ground in areas such as data entry, copywriting, editing, proofing and the creative process. Or if you are a creative organisation or individual needing a hand, whether it be through performance or administrative matters, I would be happy to help you free of charge.
Additionally, my wonderful troupe of singers can perform at your next corporate functioning or gathering - we will even travel as a special thank you!
This is an exciting new initiative that you and/or your business can get involved in from the ground level. I guarantee that this venture will make money - so if it is difficult for you to get involved as a donor, we can organise a repayment scheme.
I can't tell you how grateful I am. Thank you so much for your time.
Please help me achieve my dream!

Want to be an entrepeneur, need equipment and software
Posted by Spyke on 2011-12-15 20:58:16
Unfortunately, graduation did not come with the tools to start out. I need professional versions of these products so that I have no trouble with marketing and selling my work:
Adobe Creative suite design premium or master collection
Autodesk 3ds max/maya
Finale music notation
I also need a desktop computer capable of running the full versions of these programs. A Macintosh would be ideal, with a touch screen monitor so that I can use my monitor like a drawing board, and a MIDI capable keyboard so that I can do composition.
I need all the help I can get. I have student loans that need paying off, and I know that I can really make some money if only I had the right tools.

Freelance designer trying to relocate to San Francisco
Posted by introversal on 2011-12-12 06:58:32
I work in graphic and software design, and I've found that the opportunities in San Francisco are more challenging and more varied than the work available in DC, and this challenge is what I would thrive on. If you are in San Francisco and know of anyone who can provide work to a graphic/software designer like me, please get in touch with me at introversal@aol.com.
Thanks for helping make my dream a reality.
New equipment/office space for freelancer starting out
Posted by introversal on 2011-12-12 06:58:28
I'm a freelance graphic/software designer who already has a paying client with a startup also interested in my services, but I'm having trouble performing at my best because I do not have the money for a dedicated work area. There is a coworking office near my apartment that offers space for $350/month, but to work at full capacity I'd really like to buy the equipment I need for a home office, which runs between $3 and $5k. (At a minimum having a larger monitor and a desk would let me do some of the basic design work I need to do: that's $500-1k.)
Please get in touch with me at introversal@aol.com if you are interested in helping me start my fledgling freelance business with any contribution. I would be happy to pay back once I have a steady revenue stream going.
Thanks!

I am now in the process of trying to start my own online business.. Web Design with some computer programming, logo design, etc. Hopefully I can meet other unemployed women (or men) who are interesting in working together so that we can raise above our current situation. Of course this will be a challenge also due to lack of money and limited talent. Anyway, thank you for reading my story.. Of course this is the short version... I definitely didnât want to bore you to death by writing something long and drawn out..
Any help would be appreciated.. I would also appreciate any advice that you may have. Again thank you..
Student Loans

I currently have 30k in student loans; I am hoping to augment what I can pay with donations. I believe that getting a college education is importantâI wish, however, that fewer graduates would not be strapped with huge student loans.
Thank you for any help!
