Hi I am a mom of 3 children, 1 a special needs child. I work as a nurse assistant but it only covers about half of our needs. I work hard and do my best every day and try to keep a smile and a good attitude but sometimes your best just isn't good enough. My special needs baby is 8 years old and is speech impaired, deaf in one ear, severely asthmatic, and has ADHD. Medicaid pays for most of the meds and specialists but not all. I pay for some of his meds and specialists and then there's the gas to go to and from. All in all I'm spending about $800 per month that medicaid is refusing. I haven't been able to get an answer why as of yet. I've applied for social security for him but have been denied twice and now am awaiting a hearing which I am told could be anywhere between 18 and 21 months just to get a hearing date. I only make about $1500 per month so simple things like even a trip to the laundromat is a challenge. Apart from my son's problems I also have 2 baby girls aged 9 and 6 to take care of. Thanks be to God they are healthy. All of my family has passed away due to various forms of cancer so it's just my children and my husband and self. He is out of a job presently and has been seeking work since being laid off from his last job (about 7 months). I have applied for a pell grant and registered for LPN classes at the local community college to try to help myself but it will take about 15 months to finish school let alone get a job. I've managed to pay rent but am 2 months behind on the internet bill (used for school) am 5 months behind in car payments and am at risk of a repo any day. If I lose my car then how am I going to be able to go to work,school, take the kids to school, take the kids to the doctor,grocery shop, do laundry, or anything else? I currently do not have auto insurance because I can't afford it.(was cancelled for nonpayment 2 days ago.) I managed to pay my water and cell(about $100) to keep that going. I am almost a month behind on my electricity but have managed to keep it going by paying about half the bill per month. As of now, I have a balance of $150. I don't know what to do. If anyone would please help us I would be forever grateful and appreciative.

Hello world, my name is Paul and life has been a bit rough here of late for my whole family. I lost my job do to company cut backs a couple months back and we just cannot seem to get back on our feet. We did have money in savings and that got us by for a bit, I was denied unemployment and the appeals are still going. I try my damnedest to find replacement work with no luck.
I have had many interviews and am found over or under-qualified for the job. All that tells me is I should look into school, but I got to get some sort of job to be able to juggle that option.
Me and my 10 year old daughter just got settled into our place after living with family for a few months and I would really hate to see us right back where we were. With how things are going however that seems to be the outcome. With my savings gone, no work coming in, I was forced to sign up for government aide that truly isn't what one would think. The food stamps are indeed a god send but the money they have to help wont even pay my rent, let alone the rest of our bills.
I like to think that I am a proud man and this does nothing to help that, begging is not something you can manage proudly. I don't really know if this will amount to much but I cant say I tried everything until I have. So if you find yourself in a place to be able to help, I can say that we would be eternally grateful and that in the end all things come back around.

I just moved out of my one-bedroom apartment into a two bedroom apartment with a new roommate to help her out of a bad situation with her parents. A week after moving out, I was forced to resign from my job due to health issues affecting my quality scores. I was denied unemployment because of this, and now she's telling me that if I'm not able to pay rent, she will kick me out and either find a new roommate or get her own one-bedroom apartment. I have applied for every job I could find, and no one has called me back in over a month. Any help I can get would be loved and appreciated; if I can't make rent, I'll have to find somewhere to store my furniture and couch-hop for awhile until I can get back on my feet.

I called dcf and they said my unemployment was approved so they denied me. I am getting evicted, losing my car, and my first unemployment check came in May and it was only for one week. I don't know what else to do. I just want to take my son home and be with my family and start working again.

My husband passed away almost 3 months ago,I was with him ever since
I was 15years old and i and now i am a 23 year old mother with two children.I work,My children and i are having rough times. My husbands funeral, bills, babysitting costs, food,diapers and oh so much more that i am trying my best to balance.... I also have other debt i am trying to work out of...My children arent covered by insurance yet..
We are denied help so i take them to emergency care to be seen for check ups since no one will take them in at a regular clinic.my husband and i were having trouble with our mortgage before his passing although im now going to be without a home soon. So please,im asking sincerely for your help today.I know just like many others i am also in need of help. I have helped many in the passed and still do what i can til this day.My children are my everything and i have been in a shelter before and hope i do not have to return back to that lifestyle with my kids.I dont know if this site works but if itndoes i can have hope and my faith that i still hold on to thank every each of you that are willing to help my children and i.

I am in terrible financial distress. I am a single mom of 2 teen girls. One of my girls suffers with bi-polar disorder, depression, low self esteem, cutting, and defiance. She is in a juvenile detention facility. I suffer with clinical depression & generalized anxiety. The youngest is bullied at school. I've always sacrificed for my girls. I have a degree. I have a job. I don't make nearly enough to make ends meet with medical bills, legal bills, etc. I am behind on everything: car, electric, phone. I have asked all my family & friends for help. I have never been in this position before, and am not sure how this all works. My story starts almost 5 years ago when I had my first child. Immediately after her birth I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis as well as epilepsy. We live with my parents, my mother who is 100% disabled, my father who works two jobs but supporting all 3 of us with debt, and now the burden of my second child. He is due in 4 weeks and I do not have anything. No car seat, or even a bassinet or crib. I feel like nothing but a burden to my parents, as my health and medical bills started this downfall for my family. I have absolutely no help from the father as he is over $35,000 behind on child support. I am running out of options. My parents even tried loans and were denied left and right. I want my children to have a decent start and great childhood, as I did. Please help me give that to my children and take to pressure away from my parents.

I am a full-time student and just got let go from my full-time job. I have been looking for another job since March and haven't had much luck. So far unemployment has denied me, so all I have is food stamps. I live on my own and am struggling to pay bills(rent, water, electric), not to mention school starts in a week and that costs too. I have tried to get assistance through Pinellas County, but they all say they have no money. I have never asked for help before, but I have run out of options. Any help would be greatly appreciated and when I find a job I will definitely pay it forward. I can receive donations thru Paypal or however else it can be done, but my time is running out, rent was due 2 days ago.

I just got released from the hospital this week after having been there for a week. I also have a condition called pyoderma gangrenasum which causes debilitating ulcers on my legs. I went in to have a doc see my ulcer because it had gotten to the point where it was painful to walk. They took blood tests and found a slew of other things wrong. They found that I was Anemic, low Vitamin D right off the bat. Upon further tests including colonoscopy, CT scan, Enema and more they found a blockage and a small hole in my colon so I was admitting and pumped with medication. I started feeling better and after a week they finally let me go home. I am still on multiple medications and am struggling with getting things back to normal. My Crohn's disease has made my life a living hell at times. Some days I can't eat without pain, I suffer from arthritis like symptoms that make it painful to walk, it wakes me up at night so I have difficulty sleeping and now on top of that I have become moody and depressed. I am unable to work and have no income. I am in the process of retrying to get disability after being denied because I am only in my 30s and they think I can still work. Stress makes my condition worse and I cant help but be stressed every day. I get very little relief. I have a wonderful fiance who has been struggling to pay for all of our living expenses on his own and it is making his life dramatically harder as well. I need help. I am asking for your grace and kindness right now. It is increasingly difficult to be able to afford just daily items such as soap and shampoo, not to mention medications because I am unable to afford insurance. Im a 24 year old first time mom i gave birth to my baby girl January 31st. She is almost three months.. I lost my job at around December when i was 8 months pregnant. It was off the books so i couldnt do much about it. My fiance was working at the time.. things were already getting tough. He lost hours and days of work due to the business not doing good . We found ourselves stuck owing two months rent so decided to try and get cash assistance ... We were denied 4 times.. soo we stopped trying. They denied us because of income which made no sense because he wasnt making enough to pay rent... Over and over again they said it was a mistake but still we were denied. We now owe almost 5 months rent. We play monthly 881. In a studio apartment. We have to go to court and try and make a settlement. Im just scared because i have a soon to be 3 month old and i might not have a home for us. We cant get help anywhere else. Or from anyone else. Im not sure how this works or if it does work but its worth a shot. I dont know what else to do. Pleasehelp us.

I am a type 1 diabetic and I'm only 25 its hard on me right now. I do work two jobs but thats only enough money for my medications and test strips and doctor visits. I hav tried applying for medical cards and etc. but I'm always denied and its very discuraging to me. but right now my problem is my teeth they are getting really bad and I need to get them fixed, all I know is that they said it would be about $200 for each tooth to get pulled witch i need 4 pulled and after that I need the rest filled and fixed witch is like another $1,000 wow thats alot..not done yet then when thats done I'll need implants or fake teeth, partial dentures, what ever they call them because the teeth they will pull are my mollers (i cant spell) i wont hav any mollers to chew with :(.dont know what else to do, I'v never asked for help befor, someone told me about asking for help online so here I am. My name is Gary Griffin , im a 32
year old man that used to be a very hard worker in the job force, in
2010 I became very ill and had to stop working , i tried to get social
security dissability and have been denied 2 times and now am having to
wait for a hearing infront of a judge, they keep giving me some excuse
that my age and ability to get retrained for other work is the reason
for denile. I have congestive heart failure, enlarged heart, and an
irregular heartbeat requiring a defibulator implant in my chest , and
now have type 2 diabeties on top of that, with my medical problems I
can no longer work, just living around my house seems like a full time
job now. I have exausted all available unemployment insurance. and now
have no way to pay my bills and support my family, bills are piling up
and ill be lucky to pay rent, ( having to borrow from my brother) . I
am lost and dont know what to do , i cant get a job but need money to
live on untill i go to court for ssd. do you have any suggestions I could really use some donations right now! sorry for the sob

Disabled United States Navy Veteran. I am not physically able to work, but was denied disability a couple of days ago. I do not have any income, am staying with a family member for now, I need money! Any amount would be greatly appreciated. If I don't get help soon, I will be homeless! I am appealing the disability decision, so I hope this is a temporary need for help. I am asking for help on two websites so far, this is not something I decided to do that was an easy decision. I am at my rock bottom and in desperate need of some help! Anyday now, I'm sure to get an eviction notice as I am unable to come up with enough money to catch up. The little that I make only covers the main bills such as utilities, food, phone. I have tried charities in my area but have been denied as they want me to actually receive an eviction notice. I'm trying to prevent that as its not guaranteed the landlord would accept it if it came to this point.

My main concern is the rent as I need a roof over my head. Right now I'm behind $600.00. I would be most grateful if you can assist in any way possible.

My goal is to continue to keep applying for jobs as I have faith that one day, hopefully soon, I will find employment.

In 2001, I was diagnosed with agoraphobia and was forced to close the Property Management Company I owned.
In 2003, I got a job working from home doing bookkeeping over the internet. It was perfect because I only had to deal with people over the phone. I can do that. I worked at my job for 8.5 years. Then when the economy went bad, our company lost many clients. I was one of 3 full time people and many of the clients we lost were mine. My boss let me go as he felt I was losing too many clients. He paid me three months of severance pay but that ended in August 2011. I paid my mortgage up until that point.
That's when I applied for unemployment. After fighting with the Virginia Employment Commission for 7 months, I went to court on March 28, 2012 and was denied any benefits.
I have been looking for a job since May 2011 to no avail. Currently, I have 4.12 in my checking account. I am 9 months behind on my mortgage. I need to raise 10,000.00 in order to keep my house. Please, any amount would be a start. Thank You!
