Hi all, i really dont want to bore anyone with desperate pleas so i will attempt to give everyone an outine of my situation and just hope someone can find it in their heart to help.
In short i was forced to leave work when i was abandoned by my wife, who left me with my young daughter, as a single father.
Now i have found a new, wonderful partner, who is about to give birth to our new miracle.
Unfortunatly, after being diagnosed with a degenerative issue with my spine, i am unable to continue work in the normal way.
Having these issues and refusing to give up, i looked for a profession that would allow me to still work to support my new family and get back on our feet with the bills that have built up over the years of being unable to work and (more importantly) allow me to offer help to others in return.
This opportunity i found in the form of Hypnotherapy, an option to allow me to get back into workand not suffer the usual pain and also allow me to offer help to many more people.
Unfortunatly, in order to allow me to do this i need to raise £2500 in order to go to college and get myself qualified and finally get back on my feet by opening my own business in aiding others with their issues.
If you could find it in your heart to help me support my family and help others in the process, then id be exceptionally gratefull.

I have worked all my life and never asked for any help. I raised three children and never got food stamps, medicaid, etc. I am now physically unable to continue to work due to health issues. I know I am near the point of being terminated as I have to take medications that cause me to "nod" off or keep me in a fog. If I don't take the meds then the pain is unbearable. I owe $38,000 on a little house I bought. I was homeless for 2 1/2 years due to a layoff and I lost everything including my home. I don't have family or friends to help me. I am 60 years old and started working when I was 10. Lazy is not a part of my makeup. I don't know how long it will take to get SSD approval and I am scared to be homeless again. I don't have any savings or other resources to fall back on. I live on only the necessary requirements (no phone, no cable, no expensive foods, etc). I am missing too much work but the lawyer says I have to be totally off work before applying for SSD. I don't know how I can pay bills, not lose the home, etc if I am not working at all. I just need some help not to lose the house (it is not much but it is a home). The house will get me through as long as I will need it. I am just terrified of being homeless again. I have COPD, excessive narrowing of the spine, degenerative disk that are rapidly becoming worse (more than normal for my age), lose my balance, can't stand up straight, can't sit for long period of time, can't stand more than three minutes, neurological disorder that is causing me to "lose time" (can't find the answer to that one), need to stop driving as I don't know what happens during the losing time periods, episodes of slurred speach, numbness in my arms, hands, legs and feet. This is humiliating as I have always paid my own way and now I am facing this at my age. I need help and have nobody to turn to. I don't know if I wrote this correctly, begging is not an easy task. If there are people out there that really do help others in need then please read this with the understanding of what it is like to be alone in the world, facing being homeless again at my age. I need help with the house, utilities and just survival needs until I can get the SSD going. Thank you for your time.

Hi, I hate to beg but am desperate. I live in the U.K am a single parent with disabilities panic attacks, agorophobia, anxiety and a degenerative back condition.
My son aged 14 severely disabled Downs Syndrome, Autisim, Challenging Behaviours, Type 1 Diabetes, Wheelchair user.
Our car was seized by Baliffs for 2 parking tickets worth £25. They now want £1000 to return the car. I am housebound and desperate now. They are selling the car at auction next week.Any help would be gratefully received. Thanks

Hi, I have never done anything like this before but I figured that it does not hurt to try. I know that if I had money I would be the first to help someone else in need. I have bad teeth. I have tried everything known to man to try to get funding to fix my teeth. I have no health insurance. Nobody to help me. I am a full time student and I have a 3.85 gpa! All I would want is to be able to get my teeth fixed before I finish school so I can get a decent job! I cannot even smile. It is due to degenerative gum disease. I have taken care of my teeth very well. This is something that cannot be stopped nor helped. I have gotten numerous consultations and its going to cost more money then I will ever have anytime soon. I have tried donated dental programs and dental schools wont touch my mouth because it needs too much. Donated dental just wants to pull teeth and not put them back! I cant have that! Please help ... I would be willing to repay someone in the future or even make monthly payments. Thanks for reading.

Someone installed a shower on the bar level, in the process, they cut a main beam rather than get a longer piece of pipe. I'm not able to find out when the unit was installed, but it was long enough ago that now the bar level bathrooms(yes, both mens and ladies rooms are still in there), and the apartment floors are all sloped. If memory serves me, lolly columns should stop/possibly reverse this.
The well is working when it wants to, the water runs, then shuts itself off, anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes later, it comes back on. The furnace had a burned out blower part which I'm paying the bill off, leaving less than $75 cash after covering the expenses of this building each month. And the plumber said it would be close to $200 just to start fixing the well issue. Not even knowing if it is the pump or not.
The weather here is too much for my body without access to hot water therapy. I don't know how long it will be before I can no longer handle the pain in these temps. I am rather desperate for any help at all. I'm 46, single, and have no one to help me without paying hefty fee's. This building is in dire need of repairs. Mine is a long story, so I am going to try to keep it on the short side.

When my wife and I got married she had twin daughters, both with severe handicaps. After we were married for about 5 years Ashley passed away. We were living about 7 hours from where my wife was from and she wanted her final resting place to be near her "home". We moved here to be closer to my wifes family and nearer to Ashley. Shortly after we moved here, I was taken out of work for health reasons. Then Courtney passed away. After paying for 2 funerals in a short time and not working, hard times hit us hard. I got a job against my doctors wishes. My wife got a job for a short time until she was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease, now she can't work. So for the past year we have some how been getting by with my income (barely over minimum wage).

So now with some unexpected bills for car trouble and medical bills, we are in need of help for our rent.

There is more to our story and if you want to know more, feel free to ask. But that is the basic part of it.

The amount that I need is $560, but anything would help right now

I am 38 yr old mother of 3 married for 17 yrs. Been with spouse 19 yrs total. Spouse is an alcoholic. I'm a disabled high school drop out with a GED. This past year spouse destroyed our marriage yet I'm stuck in this hell with no way out. I can't get disability or SSI. I have no income, savings or any way to support my kids. When I told spouse I wanted a divorce he was going to walk away & leave me with no way to pay the rent or utilities. Can't afford an attorney can't afford anything to be honest. I depend upon him for income. My list of health problems began at age 17 & have continued to compile since. Can not be treated for my medical conditions due to my hypersensitivity to prescription medications & allergies to opiates & codeine. My existence is utterly miserable!! I need a way out of this hell. Everyone deserves to be happy even me. I have to provide stability to my children so I live a lie day to day pretending to be his partner friend & lover. Honestly it is enough to make one have no desire to live. I am trapped in hell with 3 kids. I have been diagnosed with degenerative disc disease, fibromyalgia, restless leg syndrome, herniated T11-12, chronic tendinitis of the groin, eczema. I have very bad allergies with frequent allergic reactions to things in my environment and have no idea what they are. I will be allergy tested next week. The week after I start testing for lupus & kidney disease if nothing is found on scope test of my bladder. I stay sick get many things at one time & it takes me much longer to recover than normal people. There has to be a way out of this with some dignity. I was told by an SSI rep that I am one of those people that just falls through the cracks. There has to be hope for us down here for Christ sake there has to be

A Desperate Plea for HELP… Donations for Luxating Patella Surgery!


I have a Service Dog named FiFi who is a Medical Alert Dog.
My Service Dog has been diagnosed with an extreme case of Severe Bilateral Medical Luxating Patella, confirmed by two separate veterinarians, who consider it to be a chronic and serious medical condition. The grooves in her femurs, where the kneecaps are supposed to ride, are very shallow and have caused her kneecaps to slip out of socket to the inside of the legs. Her kneecaps cannot be manipulated back into place by hand.
She has developed the condition bilaterally, on both sides, her condition is at a Grade 5 out of 5 in both hind knees, which is the most severe, and she needs surgery ASAP on both limbs.

The Luxating Patellas are causing constant pain and discomfort, decreased energy level, tiring quickly, bony protuberances, bowlegged, crouching stance, swollen knees and joints, poor coordination, loss of balance, limited mobility, stiffness when walking, a change in posture, lack of appetite, and arthritis pain.
When she is able to walk she does so with one of her hind legs further out from her body, while the other affected limb is always being carried because it is much too painful to use. For the most part, she must balance her weight on her front legs as she walks, while holding her hindquarters off the ground, which is severely uncomfortable to say the least. She is no longer able to walk, or even stand on her left hind leg, and is not able to move it.

The recommendation is for her to have corrective surgery on both knees within 2 weeks. The surgeon advised that, if left untreated, the condition will worsen and may lead to rupture of the cruciate ligament as well as painful deformation of the leg bones as she continues to grow. The surgery involves deepening the trochlear groove and modifying the joint capsule to prevent the kneecap from slipping out. If there is significant deformation of the leg bones, they will have to be cut, realigned and pinned. She will have approximately 8 weeks of recovery time.

As you can imagine, this surgery will not be cheap. The estimated cost (at a reduced price) is approx. $1,900 to $2,000, per leg, not including pre-op lab work, post-op rechecks, X-rays, narcotic pain medicine, a custom-built Wheelchair for Toy Breeds (to help her get around), plus miscellaneous other medical supplies that she will need after surgery. The Wheelchair (as prescribed by her Veterinarian) must be ordered online and costs $249.00+ Tax + Shipping and Handling charges).

If FiFi does not get the surgery she needs she will be forced to live a life of constant pain with a permanent luxation that could develop into degenerative joint changes, bone deformities of the femur and tibia, and may not be able to walk ever again!

FiFi is an adorable Toy Pomeranian with a Sweet and Loving Disposition; a Sparkling Personality and Magical Charm. She is very clever, well-mannered, and is unusually calm and quiet. She is one smart dog!

I have formed a special bond with FiFi. She is not only my Service Dog; she is also my Best Friend and part of my Family.

My dog is a Service Dog, and she's paid her dues. It is a lot of money, but my dog deserves it. She's only 7 years old.

Definition of Luxating Patella:

(Luxated Patellas are a congenital (present at birth) condition. The actual luxation may not be present at birth, but the structural changes which lead to luxation are present. A Luxating Patella, or Patellar Luxation, is a condition that involves the dislocation of the knee cap, where it rotates to either the inside or the outside of the leg. A Luxating Patella can result from a traumatic injury or from a birth defect, but it is primarily passed down through ancestral genes).
Grade IV. The Patella cannot be replaced manually, and the leg is carried or used in a crouching position. Extension of the stifle is virtually impossible. Tibial rotation is quite severe, resulting in a "bow legged" appearance.

I am a recently single mom of 4 intelligent children. Their school is 40 miles away from home with no bus transportation available. Each day it costs me roughly $15 in gas. I am currently out on disability for degenerative disc disease of the back and neck and also Bipolar Disorder. My children's education is the most important thing to me. They attend a five star magnet school and are all AB Honor Roll students. I am supporting a family of 5 on $871 which is my disability check and $451 from Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Everywhere I apply for help, I get doors slammed in my face because I do receive my SSDI benefits. If I were a lazy person who had never worked a day in my life, I would be doing much better off. I would be getting housing assistance and aide in trying to collect child support from my children's sperm donor. (I cannot consider him a father, because fathers take care of their children.) I do not have any close family who can help me, so I have to rely on the kindness of strangers and friends at school. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. I'm hoping that between donations and selling plasma, that I may be able to make ends meet this month.

I am a single mom to 3 kids age 13-8 we came for a visit to see the kids grandparents and my youngest dad called me and told me not to come back. After 8 years of dealing with his medical problems and his drinking addiction. Anyways we are starting over with nothing I do not even have a vehicle a friend came and got me and we were only suppost to be spending the weekend with their grandparents. I have horrible credit due to having fibromyalgia, degenerative disc disease, IBS, osteoarthritis, asthma, chronic fatigue syndrome, chronic migraines & depression. I have not worked since 2002 when I was injured at work and had to sue the company but by the time I paid Medicaid back & the lawyer I got a whole $4000 and a surgery that has left me with a permanent handicap due to it never healing right. We are staying with my parents but need are own place ASAP, my youngest daughter needs size 7/8 clothes, my oldest daughter needs 14/16 in shirts and size 3 in jrs. & we desperately need a bed we are sleeping on air mattresses and the queen size one has so many holes in it that it deflates every nite and I end up waking up on a concrete floor. My ultimate dream would be to have a tempurpedic mattress but would settle for any kind of new bed I can not ask for one on freecycle because my parents are worried about bed bugs getting into their house are state has had a bad outbreak of them. I also REALLY need a LAWYER the only income I have is my daughters social security check and I have a LOT of debt and I need 2 file for bancruptcy since I see no other way of digging myself out of the hole. I also will need to find out if I am considered common law married and what I need to do to make sure I have custody of my daughter and her alcoholic father can't get her. I'm brand new to this type of thing. I had to make the conscious decision that I'm not too proud to ask for help. I've actually made a great deal of personal progress in the past year, crawling out of what felt like a hopeless bottom. Homeless, jobless, and without my children, I would easily characterize my situation as "hitting rock bottom". Some people find themselves in such a situation as a result of addition or mental illness. For me, it was both.
I'm bipolar with degenerative disc disease. Years of chronic pain led to a dependence on pain killers that I feared I'd never escape. So it is with a great sense of accomplishment that I can proudly say I've been drug free for over 13 months. As I have learned to live with some degree of pain, I've re-dedicated myself to staying on the medication that manages my bipolar. Most people will never understand how I could be so determined to take one pill but not another. Acceptance of my mental illness and the consequential pharmacological regimen is not easy. I consider myself a fairly intelligent person, and it still wasn't easy. It is because of my children that I have accepted this destiny, for lack of a better word. I will not take the easy way out, I will push forward to rebuild my life and carve a future that my family can be proud of. But for now, I'm facing the world all alone. My children I see on weekends until I can provide a home they deserve. And I will get there, because I believe it.
So here I am, searching desperately for a job, yet trying to stay positive and remember how far I've come. I ask for help in getting through this rough patch. I just need help in paying rent. It's amazing what $500 would mean to me. That's all I need. I look forward to a time when I can pay it forward, as all good deeds should be.

I was living fine, working two jobs full time construction work, and a paid on call Fire Fighter, I had a Great income. Life was good.
then in Feb 1997 I suffered a back injury at work and my life spiraled out of control. I was diagnosed with degenerative disk diseases. A condition were my disc between my vertebrae are Dissolving, so no cushion between my bones and they rub and pinch my nerves, causing me sever back pain.
Then came the Debit, The Repossessions, the Foreclosure, my wife left me taking my kids while I was still in the hospital, we Divorce, and then I was homeless all within 6 short months after my injury. My income would never be the same.
Since then I have struggled to get a job to support my garnishments and medical bills. The IRS take 75% after tax, and my Student loan demands 25%, of my income. well you can do the math. To make matters even worse, because the garnishment is not the full payment they damand, THE STATE Add interest charges so I will never get ahead.
things have gotten so bad that, I am essentially homeless. I am staying between friends houses only to sleep and take showers. i had to let my car insurance laps which worries me alot, and the most of my money goes to food, and gas to dirve to jobs/shelters or friends, it also seconds as my room for the night sometimes.I am taking whatever light work jobs that comes my way just to eat.

PLEASE I need help. im at the end of my rope.

For almost 3 years now I have been suffering from a degenerative spinal condition. As a result I'm having a hard time finding work that I can physically do. The surgery I need is very expensive at about $10,000. However they will do the surgery if I can come up with 1/3 the total cost so about $3,000. Corey was born with a degenerative eye disorder known commonly as Leiber's Congenital Amorosis (LCA). When Corey was younger, he could see things much better. Like most children, he rode a bike, played video games, and could even read small print. Today, many years later, Corey no longer has the ability to even read large print books. He is only able to read with the aid of a CC-TV or possibly with the use of software such as Zoom Text or other screen enlargement programs when his limited vision permits. Since reading this way is so incredibly slow, Corey has switched over to using screen reading software instead. The program he uses is called Jaws For Windows: a software package put out by Freedom Scientific. Recent advancements in research on LCA has shown promise of a cure for some who suffer with this visual disorder. Unfortunately, Corey does not have the specific type of LCA that researchers have been making headway with.

On November 7th, 2009, Corey was married to his beautiful wife. And it was shortly after this time that the Social Security Administration (SSA) set events into motion that would later lead to Corey's SSI benefits being revoked in February of 2010. Their claim was that Corey’s wife earned too much under the law for Corey to continue receiving his disability benefits. To make matters worse, the SSA charged Corey with $2696 in overpayment charges, which had accrued during the four months that Corey awaited the SSA to make a decision in his case. During that time, Corey was using his monthly benefit check to pay for his general living expenses and had no way of knowing ahead of time how the SSA would rule in his case. The hit was devastating to the newly wed's financial situation. Since Corey had no income, being disabled, and little to no savings, the burden of paying back his SSI overpayment fell on the shoulders of his wife.

This situation has caused many to question the way the SSA handles disabled clients. One reason is because the SSA did not stop payments to Corey during the months in which his case was being decided. Since the SSA had not at that time positively ruled against Corey and also did not stop payment on his monthly checks, it raises the question of how valid the claim of the SSA was that Corey owed an overpayment. What was Corey supposed to do while he was awaiting the decision of the SSA during those months, not pay his bills, which is what benefit checks from the SSA are designated for in the first place? What if Corey’s wife had not been able to repay the overpayment? How many disabled people have been put through this ringer and their financial situations completely wrecked by the SSA and its negligent policies in the process?

Another important question that needs to be investigated is how the SSA can charge an overpayment that is larger in amount than the amount the law allows an SSA recipient to save while receiving SSI or SSDI benefits. If the SSA knows that it has charged the benefit recipient more than the recipient is allowed to save under the laws governing the benefits program, then the recipient being charged the overpayment is being put in financial danger by the SSA either intentionally or through the SSA's negligence. If the recipient is able to save enough money to pay the full amount, doing so would violate the law. So, either the recipient violates the law and saves more than their benefit program allows, or they run the risk of being destroyed financially. Should struggling disabled people really be put in that situation by the SSA?

A far better policy for the SSA to employ is to recognize that a person being newly married is likely going to have a lot of costs associated with the marriage process and that maybe this is not the best time to cut their benefits off. Also, if a couple like Corey and his wife had simply cohabitated, rather than got married, the SSA would not have been able to take Corey's benefits away. Getting married really didn't change anything about Corey's need for SSI benefit money. It only changed his status on paper in the eyes of the state, and that, not a change in his disability, triggered the SSA to go after his benefits. Before Corey got married, the combined amount of Corey's SSI benefits and his wife's income made it possible for the couple to function relatively well financially. Today, Corey and his wife scrape by on her income and on whatever money they can get from selling their possessions to make ends meet.

People involved in disability law need to go after the SSA over the issue of using marriage as an excuse to rape disabled people of their much needed monthly benefits. The SSA knows fully well that it is unlikely that a person who is permanently disabled will be able to get a job that accommodates their disability--especially in a bad economy. Using marriage as an excuse to take away a disabled person's benefits only serves to put an unnecessary strain on the financial well being of a newly married couple. Why would the SSA and the federal government be a party to that?

I am 50 yr. old who has spent his life raising his kids with his lovely wife. Unfortunately, there are needs now that cannot be met and I have nothing for their future. We have a nice home, we pay our mortgage and meet our financial challenges on a daily basis. Needless to say, we are paycheck to paycheck and no savings.
Now for the future. Our dream is to find the resource to procure the attached property around us and develop a campground. In turn, we should be able to offer summer work for some of the local kids creating a few jobs. Though I do have degenerative disc disease compounded with two bulging discs and the arthritis that comes along with it, I remain very active and can develop this property pretty much myself with clean up and improvements. I need a total of $100k to obtain the land and cover expense for some needed equipment. Big request, I know, but I grew up with nothing and I don't want this same struggle for my kids. My name is Elizabeth, but I go by my middle name Kelly. I am a 38 year old disabled woman (degenerative disc disease, two back surgeries, one abdominal surgery). I current live in El Cajon, California and due to painful reasons I cannot voice, I must move NOW. I am trying to move up to the Bay Area as I have family and friends there.

I have saved $10,000 of my own money, but I need another $10,000 ASAP. I have found land on which to build a home. The land is $9700 for a .27 acre lot. No, that's not a joke. There are about 26 lots available within a sixty mile radius of San Francisco that are listed at/or below $25,000. While I am building, I intend to live in an RV. It's the most cost effective way to move right NOW and have a home of my own for the first time in my life. I have found a suitable and well priced RV for sale. The dealership has agreed to knock another $2000 off, so after fees and taxes, it would be $11,000.

First problem: My credit has been destroyed over the last three years due to medical bills that I put on credit cards (those financial issues are resolved, but still took their toll on my credit). All of my efforts to obtain any kind of financing have now been exhausted. My credit report is actually the lesser of the issues. It's the fact that I'm disabled, on a fixed income, and have no idea when or if I can return to work (I have requested clearance to return to work and have been denied repeatedly by three different doctors). This presents the biggest concern for lenders despite the fact that how little I need to borrow would constitute a monthly payment of only 17% of my income. It makes no difference if the loan is for the land or the RV. I am considered too much of an "unknown risk." And to answer an obvious question, yes my family has already pitched in as much as they can.

Second problem: With the $10,000 I have, I can either buy the land outright, or buy the RV outright, but not both. If I buy the land, I have no way to live on it. If I buy the RV, I have no place to park it to live in it. So, I am throwing my pride out the window and I'm asking for help. If you can and are willing to help, I would be extremely grateful. Every single dollar counts... So, if a dollar is all you can spare, I would still be just as grateful. At the point at which I own the land and the RV (and my car, which is paid off) this will be just enough collateral for a bank to loan me the $45,000 I will need for the cabin kit (it's a small cabin that comes to you in pieces and you put it together yourself.... think Ikea on a much larger scale, and much better quality; it is about $18,000), and the rest of the bank loan would be to connect to utilities and lay a foundation.

I want to make it clear that I am only asking for enough help to get me up to the Bay Area... 10K total. Once I have the minimum I need, this post will come down. I'm not asking for any more than I need to get the land and the RV at the same time. I'm not asking for ANY of the money I will need to build my home and connect to utilities. I can and want to take responsibility for that myself. I'm only asking for the kick-start I need... I've saved half my start up on my own. I need help for the last push to get me to my personal "Promised Land."
