Going to be out on the street shortly...
Posted by renee198238 on 2011-12-07 09:58:49
If I dont come up with $300 by Friday I will most likely be out on the street. My brand new roomate suddenly decides she needs to move back in with her needy mother and packed and moved her things while I was at work Saturday. After scouring the internet and calling literally every person I know, I have found a new roomate who can move in but she cant move in until January. In the meantime I still have to pay December's rent or I'm going to be out on the street. I needed to come up with $600 so I pawned my tv and took out a payday loan but I'm still $300 short. The only people I have here are my friends and they're financially in the same position I am so they dont have it to loan. I really need a miracle, I dont really know what else I can do. ANY and ALL help is more than appreciated.
At my wits' end.

I need help. :( I've never done anything like this before--and I never thought that I'd have to. But desperate times call for desperate measures I suppose...
First of all, thank you for clicking in; I truly do appreciate it. I'm having some financial difficulty, and it's putting me under a lot of stress. I'm a single 24-year-old female, and I'm a university grad. However, I certainly don't feel like one. I've been unable to find a job since I graduated two years ago. I studied Social Science--I'll never make that same mistake again. Just recently, for the past couple of weeks, I've been working a minimum wage retail job for 10 hours a week. I'm grateful that I, at least, have something for now. I just wish that it was enough to fend off my student loan payments, credit card bills (which have long since been cancelled), bus/transportation fares (I don't have a car), a bank account, which always seems to be in deficit, and whatever else decides to pop up and torment me. I've decided to go back to school again next September and attend college, with hopes that I'll be better able to land a good job. I'll rack up more student debt, but if it means that I'll be able to stand on my own two feet again, then I'll do it. But for now, I need a bit of help to get by.
I understand that beggars can't be choosers, so I'm not going to specify a certain amount that I need. But anything that you are willing to spare will be greatly appreciated; every little bit counts. Once I'm secure in my life and in my finances, I've made a promise to myself to come back to websites, like these, to donate to others who also need a helping hand. I think it's wonderful that such people, who are at the end of their ropes, have a place to turn to. It's encouraging.
Again, I thank you for clicking in and taking the time to read this. Best wishes to you and your loved ones, and do take care.

Please help! I dont want my wife, my kids, and I to become homeless!
Posted by jdanderson1977 on 2011-11-18 17:58:48
Hi, my wife and I are doing the best that we can to make ends meet, but our best is not good enough right now. Both of us are going to school to further our education and to try and get a better job so we can financially support our family. We Both work two jobs, and hardly have enough time to spend with our two kids. We are currently behind on our mortgage payments and do not like to ask for help most of the time if we dont have to, but its getting to the point where, if we do not ask for help, we are going to lose everything we have worked so hard to achieve. We are at the stage where if we dont get caught up on our mortgage, the bank is going to forclose on us, and we are all going to be out on the street. we dont have family to turn to, they are as broke as we are. All i want is for my children to have a better life then i did growing up, and i work so hard to make that happen, but times are tough, and we need help. I hope there are people out there that are willing to help us, even if just a couple of dollars, god knows every little bit helps. We wouldnt be struggling like this, except that I was out of work due to a severe back injury, and could no longer work the job i had. i now found another job, but it is nowhere near the pay i had. Please, i am asking for the kindness of everyone out there to look into their hearts and please help! I dont want to have to try and start from scratch, to have my children know what it is like to be homeless. thank you and to whomever decides to help, thank you and god bless you!

Plain and simple she took it all. Married for 8 years and were together for 15 yrs and she decides a 25 yr old could give her a better life than what we had. I worked 3 jobs to give her all she wanted and in 3 minutes the judge gave it all to her and then some. So now I am stuck paying for it all and I'm lost on how to do it without another 2 jobs and at least another 24 hrs in each day. Probably going to loose my apartment and vehicle soon and would imagine at that point 2 of the 3 jobs will have to go. Can I just live under a bridge? Can I just disappear? Any help would be grateful at this point.

The Grasshopper and the Ant
A Classic retold by Joseph the Beggar King
Part One
Once upon a time, not so very long ago, there were two friends, the Grasshopper and the Ant. Why these two became friends is a bit of a mystery. The Grasshopper was a dreamer and a drifter. The Ant was a believer and an achiever.
In school the Grasshopper would look out the window without thought and only learned the subjects he found interesting. Sometimes he would fall asleep in Math class, other times when a angry teacher would jump him with a pop question he would give the correct answer in way that would confound them.
The Ant was a teachers dream, he soaked up every subject the system taught him, gave the correct answers in the correct way and got straight A s. He would delight his Math teacher by doing compound interest in his head. The Ant believed that what they taught him would help him succeed and was very completive. After graduating High School the Ant got an Academic Scholarship and the Grasshopper got a Pell Grant.
Within four years the Ant got two BS degrees in Business Management and Engineering. The Grasshopper dropped out after the first year. He went to live with the Rainbow Tribe for a few years. On the way to the bus station he found an old fiddle in a trash pile along the road and when he got station he was able to panhandle his bus fare. That was the Grasshoppers first beg.
The Ant took the College like a fish to water. During open Rush some Greeks invite him to be a brother in their Fraternity. He earned his dues by being the Frat Houses Accountant and made beer money by writing term papers. One day while visiting the Tri Deltas he watches the girls play volleyball and is amazed that even though they are playing a vigorous game not one of them breaks a sweat. It is there he meets the girl of his dreams, Polly Fishbane.
While the Grasshopper was living with the Rainbow Tribe he never meets the girl of his dreams, but it does not really matter too much because they believe in Free Love. So free, in fact, that after what you might call the Honeymoon he found himself getting a little bored with it. From the Rainbow Tribe he learns to live off the fat of country and from his new friend, Buffalo with Runs, he learns to live off the land. Buffalo with Runs was an very old Indian that was adopted by the tribe. He taught the Grasshopper what wild plants were safe to eat or use for medicines. He showed him how to set traps and hunt small game. Then, during one winter Gathering four people froze to dead because they were too stoned to come in out of the cold. The Grasshopper became very sad and hopped away.
The Ant is recruited by a Aerospace firm even before he graduated college and goes to work on the Apollo Program. He and his new wife Polly loved the Florida sunshine and settle down to start the American Dream. They decide to have two and half children. Even though the third kid looked a bit odd the Ant loved him as only a father can. With easy money down and mortgage tax deductions compliments of Uncle Sam, they get a house with a two car garage. Next they get two cars and the Rat Race is on. The Ant loves it! Working on the Apollo Program is more than a job, it is being part of history. Polly loves it! Raising their kids and Keeping up of with the Jones. She starts selling Avon products on the side. The Ant buys the best bass boat in the neighborhood, but only uses it once a year because he too busy working. He sets up his retirement funds and a small stock portfolio. Life is Good!
After leaving the Rainbow Tribe the Grasshopper panhandles his way across the country. He sets up in parks and subways where he pretends to play his fiddle while selling jewelry made of deer anthers and beads. The noise he makes with his fiddle sounds like a cat being killed and people give him money just to make him stop. Before the Cops run him off, the Grasshopper usually made enough in one day of begging to cover his needs for the week. When he is hungry he goes to a Soup Kitchen and when he needs clothing there are the Sharing Centers. Every now and then he lets some good hearted woman try to save him. Life is Good and he hops away.
The Apollo Program ends and the new Shuttle program does not start for a couple of years. The Aerospace company were the Ant works at does not win any of the new bids. They offer him a job in California at 20% less of his salary. Polly and the kids are in a rage. Nobody wants to move and leave their friends. The Ant sells his house at a loss because the real estate market in flooded by the laid offs. The one car and the boat are reprocessed. He sells off his stock portfolio for the down payment on the new house in California and even though money is tight the Ant decides to take the family on a short vacation to Key West to uplift their spirits. He finds the Grasshopper selling deer antler jewelry at the Front Street Market. While Polly and the kids go shopping, he and Grasshopper catch up and have a couple of beers. The Ant tells his friend about the laid offs and the move. The Grasshopper asks him - Are you Happy - ? The Ant says - Yes -. His friend says, - Good - . They watch the sunset and see a green flash on the horizon.
To be continue.

Cancer is destroying us
Posted by JRMAZ on 2011-07-13 08:58:34
My daughter was diagnosed with a form of cancer called Squamous cell Carcinoma in September of 2007. She was 17 years old at the time and has been undergoing treatments for that cancer and many related illness since then. There have been many up and downs in that time, but utlimatley the depression and anger of never being able to live a "normal" teenage or young adult life has started to defeat her. The cancer has done serious damage to her body, destroying 3 ribs and damaging vertebrae. Despite that, shs has fought very hard but that is starting to come to an end.
Part of the reason, and one of the reasons I am posting this, is that the bills and lay off's have put us in such a bad position finincially that unless she is in the hospital she is cooped up at home. She herself can not work, and the small SSI check ehs gets each month does little to help. We are on the verge of getting our utilities shut off, which will happen Friday unless a miracle happens. We also have no way of paying rent, and whike our landlord is working with us we simply have near zero funds for August.
We have been in this position numerous times over the last few years, but we always had family step in to help. They can not this time, so I am begging. I know this kind of thing seldom works, and usually results in scammers contacting you to feed off of your misery. But I am hoping that a fortunate angel see's this post and decides that my daughter and my family are worthy of a small break. Thus, I am begging for money online. Any amount helps, but the total we need to get through one more month is $1200.
Another reason I am doing this is I wish to take her on a short trip to bolster her spirits. It's in state and a place she loves, but as shown above, even that is out of reach.
More information and links to news articles done about my daughters illness are available upon request. I am more than willing to discuss the issue with anyone who contacts me. For those who wish to donate I have a paypal account in my name and a fundrazr account set up for Jenny's trip. I will provide either upon request.
And finally, the other reason I am here. I would like to request that anyone reading this, whether you are a blood sucking scammer, someone else looking for aid or an angel looking to donate, please pray for my little girl and my family. We long ago accepted that we would likely lose her to this damned desease, but it is very difficult to watch her wilt away as she is doing now. The finincial and emotional distress is killing us, and while I have never been a good Christian, I believe the energey generated by the power of good thought and goodwill can work miracles.

Need money to get to Aberdeen, WA from Kingsport, TN
Posted by cpalme5 on 2011-06-28 06:58:37
This is my first time placing an ad such as this.I am trying to get a bus ticket and some travel money for a trip to Aberdeen, WA.
I am going out there for a job. I am a 37-year old married college student that has been unemployed for about 3 years.
My wife and I are pretty poor and we are having a very difficult time getting by without my having a source of income. We survive off of the SSI and SSDI money she gets every month which isn't a lot even living in this area.
I am tired of sitting at home dreaming about working again someday while we struggle with food and the bills every month.
I have sold off everything that I have of value to help my wife and stepson buy food, gas etc, even the computers that I paid for with student loans. Computers that I needed to complete my online courses. Now I have nothing but bills and debt to show for my life.
I don't graduate from college until October 2013. Which is still a good ways off. I can't wait another two or three years to go back to work, and the liklihood of me finding a job in this economically deppressed area is slim to none.
I have tried everything I can think of to find work locally and nothing has worked out. So I need to relocate and settle someplace where there is going to be long-term opportunities for me and my family.
I just need money for a greyhound ticket and some money to travel with. The ticket I believe is like $244 or 258.00, and it is a 3-day trip from here. So, I guess I would need about $100-150.00 to travel with for food and for a ride to the house where I am going to be staying until I can secure an apartment for my family and I in the area.
I will be grateful for whatever someone decides to donate to me. I thank you all for taking the time to read my ad. May God bless you!

Help Me Buy My Mom A House
Posted by Anthony on 2011-05-22 11:58:53
My mother was a single parent she worked very hard to raise me my brother and two sisters. I remember as a child in grade school having to lie about what i had gotten for Christmas because all the other kids were bragging about their Christmas. As a child I grew up very mature I kind of had to, I remember us being homeless we would stay with her friends and move from place to place, and I remember telling her one day i'm going to buy you a house but time has gone by and money isn't easy to come by I just wish I could show my mom my appreciation for her and buy her the dream home I always wanted to.
I just want to thank everyone out there who decides to help I know my story isn't the only sad story out there and there is others out there that probably could use the money more than me I just want you all to know this story is from the heart and is very truthful. I don't know if anyone is going to stumble across this story but if you do, thank you for reading my post and thank you for any help you can give

In need of money before Eviction-By a family Member
Posted by KrymsonKitty on 2011-04-28 17:58:30
Our family of 5 has just been told that the owner of our house, my uncle, wants to sell it. In other words, he wants to evict us. We now have no where to go and our bills are rising. With 3 children, we are much in need of help. It's now this desperate that we turned to the internet and strangers for help since our own blood relative decides to evict us. Any help you can give is wonderful, be it .01$ or 1.00$
The bills are approaching and I can't find help

Hello whoever decides to read this. I'm in kind of a tough situation. I am in my second year of college, majoring in Aerospace Engineering. I'm from a lower middle class family, and even the small gap in the financial aid is hard for my parents to pay. I've had to work part time while studying full time to save up money just in case my parents can't make a payment. Recently, I was informed my dad is going to have a lot of trouble making this next payment. Which is not the best time, since my car insurance just doubled (for reasons I have not been made aware of), I am in some personal debt, and my part time job is not making enough money. The curriculum here is so difficult I do not have any extra time to work. I've done the math out, and there is no way to make the money I need by the 8th of November. I don't like asking for help, but I feel like I have few other options. I'd be very grateful for just a small amount of money to help cover the costs of insurance, or my tuition.
Thanks for reading,
Alex

Ex-Husband Sues me into being broke ... I win case and now can't pay bills
Posted by gamezgirl on 2010-10-02 17:58:58
I raise my kids as best I can and for nearly 6 years I have offered my kids unconditional support and love and left my exhusband alone on child support. 6 years later he decides he wants full custody of the kids for no apparent reason and decided to hire a paralegal for $150 to file the motion. He took me to mediation which was ruled in my favor, he then challenged this and has taken it to trial forcing me to get a lawyer for $4000. He then drops the case and then threatens to reopen the case. This whole time he has not retained a lawyer, but sole his mission is to break me financially and intimidate me. I will not cower when it involves our children, but his mission is successful so far in causing a great deal of financial hardship. I won the entire case and I am now broke and late on most of my bills. I reopened the case to finalize things. The kids have suffered enough and I need to get things fixed around here. A donation for my legal fees would help, but anything less is always appreciated too. Thank you for your consideration.
Help with graduate school
Posted by iomedicine on 2010-09-13 15:58:58
Dear friend who reads this and decides to help me (thank you):
I do not know what else to do, or who else to turn to. As a last resort, I am trying this website in an effort that may help me graduate this semester and matriculate in to medical school.
I am a graduate student at a medical school who is pursuing a masters degree. I completed (well almost completed) my studies in 1 year instead of 2 years, mostly due to very hard-work and dedication to finish. My goal is to get in to medical school and become a physician.
This summer, as a graduate student, I took a 7 credit, 6-week long, advanced course in human anatomy they offer to medical school students. Not many students are offered this opportunity to take medical school classes as a graduate student, but I was, so I embraced this opportunity.
This summer class costs $6000. I am not able to pay for it because I maxed out all of my financial aid (all loans) to pay for tuition during the fall and spring semesters.
I have been put in to debt collection, and unless I get this paid, I cannot graduate from my program and receive my masters degree. Worse, I can't matriculate in to the medical school.
If anyone is out there who is willing to help an ambitious, dedicated student go further with her studies and make a difference in the lives of others by becoming a physician, please, PLEASE, send me your help.
I will forever be in debt of your kindness. I only hope for the ability to pay this kindness forward when I become a doctor.
I sincerely thank anyone who takes the time to read this from the bottom of my heart.
