Hi all,

I am finally getting serious about paying off debt that includes a hefty student loan, credit cards, and medical bills from a serious car accident that I was in last year. Right now I am behind on my phone bill and barely making rent. I am in need of a 'hand up' rather than a 'hand out' in order to get moving with this plan. If any of you have listened to Dave Ramsey (or even if you haven't) and have a heart for someone who is sincerely making an effort to pay down debt, please donate. Sometime ago, my grandparents, Anthony and Mercedes passed away within 2 years with my grandpa being first, but before that came about, my grandparents dying wish, was that after they passed, that the money they had saved up would be split between me, my uncles, aunts, father, mother and sister. So my uncles and aunts promised my grandparents they would do that, we all agreed.

Also, my grandma wanted a big funeral with everyone she knew to be there. But after she passed, my uncles just disappeared, and my aunt Gloria robbed my grandma out of her own funeral, she only invited 6 people out of 50, stole all the money that was supposed to be for the funeral and split between us all, which totaled up to a little over $100,000, and she took it all for herself and her husband, moved to Nevada, and pretended like my mom, dad, sister and me didn't even exist, worst then that, is that she never apologized, my uncle Dave did nothing, and either did any of my cousins.

They promised to fulfill my grandparents dying wish, and I believed them, my grandparents believe them, and in the end, they stole from their own parents, my grandparents. I begged my aunt for an answer on why she did what she did, and she never came clean, she never once admitted she was wrong, and worst then that, she ignored me, and my mom, dad and sister. It's just the four of us, and we're financially struggling worst then ever before, because we were betrayed. This has effected my sister the most, because her depression has been getting worst, and because of it, she has tried to kill herself a few times because of how things turned out, but she didn't, although I couldn't stop her from cutting herself.

I am currently the only healthy person in my family right now. My mom is disabled and has cerebral palsy, my father is ex-military who is also disabled, and just recently, he was hit by a car and can no longer work, and my sister has asthma. I'm 25 years old and currently unemployed, despite the fact I went to college, I can't find a job anywhere. My mom too, went to college, earned her degree, and she can't find a job either. I worked for a several years, but was let go because business was slow. Since then, I've been selling my stuff left and right just to get through and to help my family, but it's not enough.

If there is anyone out there that can help me and my family, I would be eternally grateful and thankful to you, and to the good Lord for this blessing. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, and God bless you.

I am disabled due to menegitis, Im down and out now but I worked for 30 years,....I lost everything due to this illness...im broke sick and tired but I have a son who doesnt want me to be sick..I used to love life and worked alot and was always in demand as an electrician...now menegitis has turned me into a bum or as some would say a dirtbag, I thought about this and figured...wow, since Im not working and cant because of the menegitis which fried my brain a little...I guess I am a bum....Im still Dave the ex jarhead, ex electrician and worker of 30 years but yea I think Im really just a bum now,,,so...I guess Im a bum asking for a buck or two...anything helps, even a shirt or a pair of socks or underwear....I may be a bum but I still like clean tidy whiteys,,,I used to have alot of pride in my work and did it well, I made 70000 a year and had a nice house and a nice truck....even people who see me now look at me like Im a bum...I would say whoa is me but hey if it looks like a bum, talks like a bum...it is a bum...so...I asking like a bum would ask...help a bum out...Thanx Dave the bum

I need $20,000 to become a BPI Certified Contractor. The money will purchase all the necessary tools, and it will pay for the classes and exam fees.

Hi, I hate to beg..its not my nature but I had menegitis and almost died guess it wasnt my time to go but I lost everything, my house my career as an electrician and my health. Im 48 and live in an apartment now but it is tough, I used to make decent money as an electrician but I had to stop and file disability...Now I live on that and I have a 9 year old son that doesnt want me to quit. I have a wife and she says it not about the money which is true,,,but I know she worries...we live in an environment where there are some pretty shady people and I hate having put us in this situation..10 years ago we owned our own house and I had a career but now we live in constant stress...we are from San Diego but moved to NC because I thought there may be work and I was a Marine here in the 1980s, I got sick soon after getting here and it has been very difficult. I dont want to take out a payday loan, I dont believe in that I would accept even a dollar from someone who could possibly help...I only want to help raise my son who is a great kid and is happy with what he has...I appreciate any help anyone can give...Dave

Ive had AIDS for 6 years and HIV for 16. I had HIV for 16 years, did some stupid stuff in the 90s and caught it through hetero sex. It was my fault but I did do alot of good, I worked as an electrician for 13 years and a US Marine for 6. I am also a dad who hasnt flown the coop. I worked for 28 years and had to stop because I caught menegitis and almost died. This was from having AIDS. Ive done the best I could but its overwhelming. I my lost my home, my career and my self esteem due to this. I doubt anyone will donate because times are hard and the only people who see this site are probly people in need but I guess I might as well. I do paintings to help my cognitive skills and all I really want is someone to look at my paintings or donate a dollar or two. I would like to start out by saying, "this was/is my last resort". I never
looked down on others that ask for help because most of the time I was the
helper. However, now I am sitting behind this smoke screen in desperation. I
am a single mother of an 8 year old growing boy and currently working two
jobs to make ends meet. A few years ago I made a purchase on a vehicle that
was a big bad mistake and definetly a life lesson after reading Dave
Ramsey's book. My payment, fuel and insurance is 33% of my monthly income. I
am upside down in my payments along with trying to keep up with student

loans and other monthly expenses. I would be the first to admit I made a
dumb choice and I am trying to dig myself out of this deep financial hole. I
am not one to take without giving something in return. I will defenitely pay
it forward in some way to others by doing a good deed for someone else. It
saddens me to have to come to this but this is my cry out for help. Thank

Hi my name is Dave and I'm disable my wife works really hard to support our three kids and myself I was a truck driver for over twenty years mostly doing contract work over the last three years I developed,CHF "Congestive Heart Failure" I was found eligible for SSDI up here in Illinois, but was denied assistance because my wife makes enough money to keep us out off the soup line I've only been married to her for six months and I only came to Illinois to marry the woman that I love so much and go back to Texas were I have the ability to work we are trying to make the move but my wife ex-husband the guy that left his wife and three kids wants to keep us here so we have to fight in court I'm trying my best to get a job and help her all I can, but its hard to keep a job when you stay sick most of the time we desperately need to make this move it would help us to better support our kids we could give them a better home and better school and most of all I could get a job to help my wife

I contracted AIDS in the late 90s, though Im not sure how I got it I know it must of been through heterosexual sex. I caught menegitis, lost my home my life savings and my career as an electrician. I do not worry about myself so much but my son who is only 9 and scared dad may die. I take meds to keep me going but cannot process information due to my bout of menegitis. I went thru a divorce last year and i am still fighting custudy of one child. She left me and i never had a clue there was anything wrong. she has not let me be with our girl for no reason other than that she just dont want to see me. will in her first marriage she did not have a child, that is different, but with a child involed, we should both get time with her. she should have known that when we had her. I paid for a guardian and counseling for her, even though my e-wife did not want it, i wanted it because the way she just up and left i was concerned for my little girl.
i was awarded the home, but; One year later i have 35,000.00 in attorney fees and i cant come up with the money pay them.
I have no more funds at all to catch up and need help bad.

Which is worse: asking for a handout or giving up on a dream?

I struggled with that question as I was deciding whether I would post on this site.

Hello, my name is Dave and I am desperate to start an advertising website that I have been building over the last 6 months. I am $3000 away from being able to launch the site.

I have completed most of the website with the help of my business partner and a web development firm. However, we still need to pay for numerous legal necessities. Trademark, Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Contracts are a few of the legal hurdles. Any remaining funds raised will be put toward publicity for the site.

Once the site is live, there will be two individuals selling advertising through the web and over the phone. Our goal has been to create a great opportunity for substantial returns in a one year period. This is based on our marketing plan to sell out 2010's ad space within 9 months of launching the site.
