Homeless need help - ruined by IRS and mom w/ leukemia

Posted by PCZJazzy on 2012-02-05 16:58:39

I have adhd and am not good at record keeping. I was running a business and got an auditor that wanted to ruin me. The CPA ended up cheating me also. Long story, but I was honest on my taxes but the long costly audit cost me everything. My Mom got sick with leukemia, dad had a stroke and I had to take care of them from 2007-2009. My family recently disowned me because I am not working and I could not repay them all that I borrowed to go through the audit. My friend is helping me write this because my spelling is terrible. Could use any help at all. Please.

Please help me bring my wife to Australia.

Posted by Brunsie64 on 2012-02-04 22:58:42

I am a 64yo disability pensioner living in Bayswater, Victoria, Australia. I recently married a Filipino lady in Cebu, Philippines (October 29th 2011). The immigration process is both costly, and takes a long time. I am in a position to bring my wife to Australia on a visitors visa that will allow us to be together until her spouse visa is approved. I have tried to loan $2,000Aus. to pay for the costs of getting her here, but due to me being on a pension no lending organisation will approve me the money. As a last resort I have turned to BegsList to seek help with my crisis. Even if some kind person could loan me this money, I am happy to repay them from earnings from my part time job. I am desperate. I can verify my honesty with documentation and references if needed.
Thankyou. Contact me at johnrussell47@dodo.com.au

Need Help Now!

If you have a collage degree, house, bank account, good car, and a career: please help me. I have none of these things. I have no diploma. I had to get help to pay for a GED just recently, wish me luck on the test. I rent a single wide trailer that had mold problems and made my family sick. We are better now. The landlord ripped the shower and floors out and replaced everything. I am afraid of the mold coming back and making us sick again. I’m 26 and have no bank account. I tried to start one but couldn’t keep any money in it, because of how little I made in construction. My car doesn’t go into reverse and slips in first gear sometimes. I have no job because I was laid off three months ago when the job ended. I’ve been looking for jobs and filling out applications around my small city, but no one will call me back.

Let me tell you more about myself. I was two years old when my father was shot and killed in the big city. I grew up on welfare with my mother and grandmother. When I was seven we lost grandma’s house and began to move around a lot. When I was twelve, my grandmother died from being in a moldy house that we were renting. My mother moved to the country with her boyfriend and I followed shortly after. In school I was smart, but moving around everywhere was costly. I lost credit for a lot of hard work simply because the schools were on two different schedules. After living with my mom’s drunken boyfriend and having him beat on her, I dropped out of school to get a job in construction. I was able to make enough for us to rent our own place.

I married my high school sweetheart about a year ago. I had hoped that we would make a wonderful life together, but it’s proven to be very difficult. She did graduate and attend college; however, she did not finish her Bachelors degree. She has a little more than half a semester left, but we ran into some tax problems and she has not been able to go back and finish. Now she owes 6,000 in college dept and I owe thousands in back taxes. She has eyesight problems (coloboma) and can’t drive herself. She works with her mom cleaning houses and babysitting. I dream about being rich and successful, and making all our financial problems go away. I don’t see how that’s going to happen with all of our problems. I want to go to college and get a degree, but I need help getting on my feet. Please help me and my family realize our dreams of financial freedom.

America is one of the most charitable nations on earth, with lots of people that have been financially blessed. I read that there are 7.5 million millionaires in America, and I hope someone reading this is one of them. Please change my life forever with a big donation. I dream of being successful and using my money to help others who need it. I want to make a difference for good in this troubled world, but it’s hard to do when you can’t even help yourself.

Please help me better my life

Please Help me to get my degree

Posted by babingtonuk on 2012-01-25 14:58:58

Hi,

I am currently doing a degree in engineering however this is very costly. I do work full time but this is to support my family. Although I am not in dire financial straits to the extent that I am starving, so please do not donate if you feel there are more needy causes, all donations will go towards my university fees.

My dream is to emigrate to Australia and this degree will help with this.

Can you help us meet our family?

Posted by thishasgottabeouryear2012 on 2012-01-24 02:58:08

Hi, I'm new to this so please bear with me.....

I am a 35 year old single mother of four beautiful children aged 10, 9, 5 and 5 months. I have a spinal injury that after many tests and consultations with Dr's and Neurosurgeons is inoperable and I now have to just 'deal with the pain', which I do, without medication, as I didn't want to add another problem to my ever growing list of health related issues that stem from the issues with my spine.

I discovered just over a year ago that I have a brother and sister (twins) who are 10 years younger than me. It was a massive shock but since finding out about each other we communicate on an almost daily basis through a social networking site and on skype and it feels like we have always known about each other. My children have no-one apart from myself and my mum and to have discovered my siblings and their children has been brilliant for us all.

We desperately want to go and see my brother and sister and their families but we need to fly and to be able to do so we all need a passport, which, having worked it out, is going to be very costly.

I have managed to find someone I know who falls into several of the categories to countersign our passport application forms so I have managed to save some money there and I have, through selling some items on ebay, managed to raise the money for all the photos to be taken and for copies of all of our full birth certificates, but the actual cost of the passports is proving harder to raise the money for.

I am embarrassed and ashamed that I am having to 'beg' for help but I do not want to go down the route of having to borrow the money from a loan company as the interest rates are astronomical and as desperate as I am to meet my siblings, I do not want to do so by getting us into debt as I spent 10 years paying debts off and we now live debt free, buying only what we can afford. We live within our means, do not holiday; in fact my children have never been fortunate enough to holiday; this is something I feel very upset about as I have many happy memories from my childhood family holidays....It breaks my heart when holiday adverts are on the television.

Any help will be gratefully received, no matter how small as we are all too aware - every penny helps!!

Thank you in advance for reading.

HELP! Marooned in South Africa!

Posted by hairybuilder_33 on 2012-01-14 06:58:34

Hi, My name is Rob. I am a Scot by birth. I have been stuck in South Africa with my wife and 5 yr old son since 2006. We met while working for the same company and after 2 good years together in Scotland decided to marry. Our original plan was to come to SA to get married. My wife’s family is all from here and it was too costly for them to travel to the UK. Besides, the weather is far better for a wedding here. The currency was also very favorable.
After we were married we looked round and decided to give “the new South Africa” a chance. What a mistake that has turned out to be! The work situation for white people only held out until 2009. I am a self employed builder and carpenter with some 12 years experience and many successful projects to my name. My wife Lee is hunting for a job at present, she was retrenched in December. Due to the fact that we have legislation here in SA that denotes which jobs can be given to whites and which have to be given to non-whites. Here I fall into problematic territory. There are practically no jobs that I can even apply for! We have been surviving on small jobs to keep money coming in, however the situation for whites here is getting worse. As a sole trader I am unable to apply for tenders, quotes etc. This makes finding profitable jobs almost impossible. The jobs that come in usually get me around 100 rand per day (equivalent to 20 US dollars per day). It is barely enough to feed the three of us. Food prices are rising rapidly here. We are getting nowhere! The downturn here made short work of what savings we had. The only saving grace has been that we have stayed out of debt. I honestly don’t know how much longer we can stay that way.
You may be wondering where all of this is leading to, let me explain. We have applied for many jobs in the UK over the last 2 years. We have been accepted for several positions with included accomodation. As a UK citizen I can return with my family and work there. However, We cannot get enough money together to relocate the three of us back to the UK! Our target is 5000 US dollars. This will allow my family and I to get flights with some left over to see to emergencies. (with a five year old you never know!!!)
Any donation is most appreciated by the three of us.

Custody battle and school debt has destroyed my finances

Posted by CDinNeed04 on 2011-12-21 15:58:52

Years ago I had money in savings, I had great credit, donated to charities, and was never late on a single bill.....Until I met the mother of my child. I did not find out about her financial difficulties until after she was pregnant with our son. I spent large amounts paying off her creditors, so our child's future wasn't compromised by his mother's debt.

That was a mistake......

The mother of my child only wanted to take care of him after we ended our relationship....and she realized that I could pay her child support. For the last 6 years I have fought in court and finally have reached the point of having him a full 50%.

The problem is that the legal bills for the last 6 years for my attorney and 2 GALs were thousands of dollars. To keep up the payments for my fight, all other bills had to be charged, and my college tuition all went on school loans. Those loans were put on forebearance and the interest has piled up. In addition, I am allergic to just about everything except food and have had to have treatments to keep my allergy attacks under control. I also suffer from sleep apnea and have a costly machine and more medical bills from that.

After never missing a bill or paying late in my entire life, I finally missed payments early this year and declared bankruptcy in mid-year.

However, my mounting school debt is still there, plus the attorney fees from both the custody battle and the bankruptcy. I still have to pay child support, even though my son lives with me 1/2 time, because I can't afford to pay my attorney to fight it.

I have two mortgages on my home, (which has lost value) and can barely make the payments. Every month I am on the edge of not being able to pay all of my bills.

At my current employer, there are many jobs that I can not apply for per company policy. I work long hours and have nearly an hour commute each day, plus an extra 1/2 hour to get my child to school on days I have him. So my working hours outside of my first job are limited. No one seems willing to hire me for a second job due to this.

I would love to be able to pay all of my bills each month, without having to worry if the check will clear, or if I can buy gas today.

Any amount would help and would be greatly appreciated.

Save a Home for Christmas

Posted by Mimzy on 2011-12-14 15:58:14

I'm trying to get up donations, any amount to help out a friend that is losing her home after Christmas. I've contacted a few places to help, I've put up a webpage on my site and I've hit the social network sites as well as online friends to help.

She needs $5k to stop the bank from foreclosing. She's a good person & I don't want her family to be homeless after the Holidays. I have to do all I can to help her, I just can't give up and do nothing.
The page I made is at www.viviti.me/starrweaver/donation.html - if you want to know more go there. She doesn't have a Paypal account, so I'm collecting all the money for her. Also try not to use donation buttons, Paypal charges a fee for donations. Use send money and gift instead, then it won't take out the fees.

Also if you have a business, you can give gifts up to $20 for the Holidays and write it off on your taxes. Also for those trying to find work, if you can't get a job, create a business. Employ yourself, it isn't difficult & making an online business is less costly. Think about it and take a good look at what hobbies, skills & talents you have. Invest in yourself, check out some sites for freelance work or even fiverr.com to see what others are doing for $5.

Think of metal scrapping, recycle & get paid at scrap yards. Dead batteries can be taken in for money too. Think out of the box - brainstorm and come up with something you can do. It's better than nothing...right?

If you go to my aidpage.com site I've listed a bunch of resources. There are others that can help give more resources too. It's a supportive and helpful site to find information.

Please help if you can, She doesn't have much time left. Any amount would be a big help.

Need Help

Posted by Jza1973 on 2011-10-21 16:58:41

Hi everyone,

My family and I are going through a challenging time. In October 2010 our car was repossessed and I began to walk to & from work 6 miles each day. I didn't much mind because whatever you have to do to make a legitimate living you do hands down. Unfortunately I developed high blood pressure. That coupled by a chronic pain condition caused me to resign from my job. I did not qualify for unemployment because i quit even though I explained I had no transportation and the job required field visits which I couldn't make without a car. My husband had been trying to find work for two years after his job literally closed overnight with no notice. In May of this year we figured things were looking up. We've borrowed from family members, sold our dryer, jewelry, handbags , etc to our local pawnsmart. My husband got a job in May only to be laid off in August because a coworker made a costly mistake that cost the company their contract with delta airlines. He went to apply for unemployment and was told he wouldn't qualify until october when dept labor begins to look at the april/may/june quarter. Then we received a notice that since he didn't have that many wages for that quarter he'll have to wait until november and reapply. We don't have a car or any, so each time we need to go to dol we walk the 8 mile trek there and back. We have no family in GA where we live and friends seem to exist when you are not in dire straits. We spoke to our leasing company and said we would be late with our October rent. we've contacted one social service agency at the beginning of the month. My husband was interviewed and approved by the worker who said her boss had to sign off on the paperwork. when my husband checked back week later, he was told do not come back to the office we'll receive an approval or denial in the mail. now we have nothing. We've had to ask our local library for toilet tissue, scrape change for soap which is used for both body, dishes and clothing. we are both college educated, no criminal history, hard working adults. To ask for help is really difficult. Our rent is 550 a month. Iam really scared that at any moment we are going to be evicted. A donation of any amount would be appreciated. Thank you and may God bless you.

Help the Emaciated STRAY ANIMALS be fed and off the Streets!

Posted by Missy on 2011-09-20 11:58:01

We run a a small but effective, private not-for-profit animal rescue run by a team of volunteers dedicated to saving stray animals abandoned on the streets and finding them a new forever loving home- which they so greatly deserve.

Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home the abandoned, abused and unwanted animals who unfortunately, through no fault of their own, live on the streets. We also help by promoting responsible pet ownership; the importance of spay & neuter, a good diet and plenty of exercise.

We do not discriminate against size, breed, age, gender, species or health condition- as we believe every animal deserves a second chance.

Unfortunately, 86% of the strays we've helped save are emaciated- they require vet care (which is very costly), special high quality diet, vitamins and supplements to boost their immune system, and so much more!

All volunteers are unpaid and contribute their own money to our rescue's operation. Since we fund all of our expenses ourselves we often require donations from the public to help us out. As always, 100% of the donations go towards the benefit of the animals in our care.

We gladly accept all new, gently used, canine, and feline supplies, as well as monetary donations- which can be sent by PayPal.

A Place to Lay My Head at Night

I am writing on behalf of my 38 year old niece, who was recently diagnosed with Huntington’s disease (HD) and cannot submit this request without assistance. For those of you who are unfamiliar with HD, briefly, it is a fatal, autosomal-dominant neurological illness causing involuntary movements, debilitating emotional disturbance and cognitive decline.
In most instances, when you hear of someone being diagnosed with HD, it’s more like being handed a death sentence. This is due to the fact that there is no known cure and for many, the course of their illness for the rest of their lives is outright terrifying. Care and treatment for HD is extremely costly, and can be arduous, rigorous and intense, and therefore persons with this illness are usually placed in residential care and treatment facilities to live out their days.

My niece has chosen to live a full and meaningful life with HD and through the Grace of God, and all who step up to support her in this effort. She is currently residing on her own, and has shown amazing courage, strength and unique humor each and every step of the way. Most recently she mentioned to me in a telephone conversation that she saw a televised showing of a young girls wish being granted by the Make a Wish Foundation, and how she could use them to get a midsized sofa bed for herself, which she currently needs for her studio apartment.

After an exhaustive internet search for sites that grant adult wishes, I came upon this site and am formally submitting this request to you for your consideration. There is a Big Lots in the area where my niece resides which has a sofa bed for $400. If you are in a position to donate some or all of the funds towards this purchase please feel free to do so. If you find yourself in a position to purchase the sofa sleeper and have it delivered to her, this too is welcomed. Either way, contact us so we can make arrangements.

And if you’re feeling despondent because you have no money to contribute, you can assist us in this way. We’ve had tremendous success so far this year in garnering support for the Huntington’s Disease Parity Act, which would make it easier for people with HD to receive Social Security Disability and Medicare benefits. Prior to the onset of HD, my niece and most other adults affected with this disease were tax paying citizens like you and I. We are up to 83 cosponsors of H.R. 718 in the House and 6 cosponsors of S. 648 in the Senate, and we need YOUR help to get Rep. Grace F. Napolitano on board. You can do so by writing to her as well as your own congresspersons to support these bills.

Thank you for your consideration and effort.

Is there no help for the widow's son ?

I am a Viet-Nam ers vet, disabled since 1995. I am recieving a veterans pension of $985 per month. This is my total income, with this money I pay my bills and mortgage. I do not own a vehicle as it would be too costly, so I depend on my daughter for transportation. Last year her husband was involved in a wreck that killed two people in the other car and mangled him real bad about 15% above FUBAR his recovery is progressing real slow. She is in need of a water well and some home repairs. There is no running water in the house and she is in danger of running afoul of Child Protective Services unless she can get a water well dug and hooked up to the house. She does what she can by working at any job that comes along, but that falls short of the money for a water well. Thank You for taking your time to read this and I pray that there is a good samaritan out there that will help. GOD BLESS and THANK YOU

Lost Home Need Help With Food and Expenses

Posted by Maryann on 2011-06-20 00:58:01

My husband died about three years ago after a very long and costly illness. We had a child late in life, and his father's death hit him very hard. I was fortunate to have a job, but it just was not enough and as time passed, it became apparent that I could not keep up my mortgage payments.
Guess I was blind, but my son fell in with the wrong people and soon was supporting a raging drug habit. By the time I realized what was happening, he had robbed me of thousand's of dollars. Even though he is clean now, he desperately needs treatment, but has no job or insurance, and I have not been able to find any inpatient treatment for him.
I had to give up my house and sell my possessions to survive. I was blessed enough to find a small rental house in a decent neighborhood. Unfortuntely, my bills wipe out my paycheck every month, and I find myself without enough food and gas. I have tried everything I know of to generate more income. I have sold my most precious possessions on ebay (can't eat china and jewelry)and did make some headway, but for at least a few more months I cannot see any way to survive. I even tried writing a book, but that did not work. I am not lazy, and work very hard and never thought I would be in this position, and would not even consider doing this if I could find any other option. However, being hungry is an incentive to do whatever you have to do to eat. The transmission in my car decided to die, and I cannot affort to get it fixed. I am driving an old car that rides like a covered wagon, but so far it has gotten me where I am going.
Not asking for a house, car or anything like that. I just need a little money to help with groceries and gas for a little while till I can get caught up. I have reached the point where I decided to clip coupons to help buy groceries. Wrong! That stuff on television about couponing just doesn't work. I have no groceries in the house, and no gas to get any if I had the money to go to the store.
I guess I should count my blessings, because I do have a roof over my head and electricity, and a job, though that is not guaranteed for long, and that's more than a lot of people can say. If I do not get a cent, maybe I will get the prayers of the people who may read this, and that would certainly be appreciated. God has given me many miracles, and I know that he works through people. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Im a single mother to a toddler . I recently have started chemo therapy. Was in remission sice I was a child. Im doin treatment in a different state then my home. The costs are unbelievable. Im on the verge of losing my place back home. But paying for treatment and stayin at charity house is costly. I have asked eveyone I know and offers that dont come through are not helping. If I cant keep my home I will have to give my toddler to the system. I ask with a heavy heart for any help.
