I am a single mother of 4 girls ages 3,9,12,14. We moved from a city where I had a job & a great church family to a place I know no 1. All becuase my husband lied & said he had a great job. Hi, I'm new to this so please bear with me.....

I am a 35 year old single mother of four beautiful children aged 10, 9, 5 and 5 months. I have a spinal injury that after many tests and consultations with Dr's and Neurosurgeons is inoperable and I now have to just 'deal with the pain', which I do, without medication, as I didn't want to add another problem to my ever growing list of health related issues that stem from the issues with my spine.

I discovered just over a year ago that I have a brother and sister (twins) who are 10 years younger than me. It was a massive shock but since finding out about each other we communicate on an almost daily basis through a social networking site and on skype and it feels like we have always known about each other. My children have no-one apart from myself and my mum and to have discovered my siblings and their children has been brilliant for us all.

We desperately want to go and see my brother and sister and their families but we need to fly and to be able to do so we all need a passport, which, having worked it out, is going to be very costly.

I have managed to find someone I know who falls into several of the categories to countersign our passport application forms so I have managed to save some money there and I have, through selling some items on ebay, managed to raise the money for all the photos to be taken and for copies of all of our full birth certificates, but the actual cost of the passports is proving harder to raise the money for.

I am embarrassed and ashamed that I am having to 'beg' for help but I do not want to go down the route of having to borrow the money from a loan company as the interest rates are astronomical and as desperate as I am to meet my siblings, I do not want to do so by getting us into debt as I spent 10 years paying debts off and we now live debt free, buying only what we can afford. We live within our means, do not holiday; in fact my children have never been fortunate enough to holiday; this is something I feel very upset about as I have many happy memories from my childhood family holidays....It breaks my heart when holiday adverts are on the television.

I recently discovered I am pregnant with my first child and am overwhelmed. I am excited about the idea of becoming a mother and know that I will be a good parent. I am educated, hard working and love children.

I have been a dog rescuer for over 10 years, working as a foster parent for my local humane society. This is 100% a volunteer position that I donate a lot of my time, energy and resources to. In the past 10 years I have rescued, rehabilitated and re-homed over 300 dogs and puppies.

I do have a full-time job to pay my bills. I am a hard worker and have been at my current job for 6 years. However, due to the economy in my area, my income recently took a sharp nosedive. I am looking for additional work to supplement my income and/or a different full-time job (that is not commission based).

Unfortunately, my bills are now behind and my home is in foreclosure. I own a small farm in the country and have a great set-up for the foster work that I do and a great place to raise a child. Rentals in our area tend to be higher than what my mortgage payment is now ($550), so moving wouldn't be a better move for me financially. I am currently 3 payments behind.

With cold weather here now, my electric bill has spiked and is now averaging about $195 a month (most months it is only about $85-$90).

I own my vehicle outright, but it's older and seems to be in need of more and more repairs. Right now I am in debt to my mechanic $165 for brake work he did 2 weeks ago. It's an older SUV and a gas guzzler.

I do not live a fancy lifestyle, by any means. I do not have cable tv, high-speed internet, new clothes or shoes, expensive purses or designer sunglasses. I live a very modest and healthy life and do not believe in waste. I'm not a drinker, not a smoker and do not use drugs of any kind.

The humane society foots in the bill on all of the foster-dog related expenses (vet care, food, toys, etc.), so I have no money going out towards that. I have cut back on the number of dogs that I foster, from 2-3 at a time to just 1. I am a responsible foster parent and in no way a hoarder.

I intend to continue fostering up until I have the baby (due date is August 15th). I get so much personal fulfillment out of rescue work and I know will miss it when the baby comes. However, I know that I will want to focus 100% on my child and being the best mom I can be.

I have always been a big believer in paying it forward to the greater good. I'm hoping that this plea will reach someone out there who is currently in a comfortable financial position and willing to assist someone who is not.

I can, and will, provide proof of any of the facts I stated above, including a letter from my employer, a letter from the humane society director, copies of my utility bills, mortgage bill, etc., upon request.

Hello everyone. I am doing this for my older brother who is basically homeless and has been for seven months now. He was taking care of our mother while she battled cancer and had to be home full time because we could not afford the private care.

Our mom passed away April of this year. She left him the house so he would have something that belonged to him but she also left behind some expensive bills. He has been unable to find work of any kind. The lights and water were eventually turned off in the beginning of June and he has had neither since then.

He has no way to bathe, clean, store food or anything. The electric bill with interest is several hundred dollars and I know the water bill is up to $504 AND they have a lean on the home until it is paid which means it increases by $25 every month. I was going to put the utilities in my name but apparently a "renter" has to pay high deposits if the owner owes money at that address and those deposits are just as expensive. All of this doesn't include the $680 in back taxes on the property. If I can just get his bills paid off I can maintain the monthly costs for him.

Yes he does have a home but essentially it is nothing more than a tent. He lives off of $160 in foodstamps a month and rides the free bus everywhere. In April he weighed 248lbs. He now weighs 152lbs due to having to eat cold canned foods. I don't know what else to do. I have tried everything I can think of. My husband is the only one working so we are unable to do much for him ourselves not to mention I live a few states away. We have no other family ... it's just the 2 of us. He deserves a little help in return for the sacrifices he has made. He had to put his life on hold to watch our mother die.

Seriously... every penny helps. We will not turn our nose up at any donations whether it be a $1 or a penny. I do not know what kind of proof that I can offer other than copies of the bills and shut off notices .. and an obituary.

UPDATE: Lights have been taken care of ... thank you. Water and taxes are still hanging over his head. Today the city informed him he had 7 days to have both lights and water or the house will be condemned.

Ok here are the basics of my story. I am a hard working mom of 3. Been with the same selfish man for 13 yrs. Hes been unemployed for over a year couldnt even keep up with housework while I work overnights for a greedy corprate owned pharmacy. One day dcf shows up because the kids clothes were dirty. After seeing a messy house ( thanks to guess who ) an investigation is started . I do all that is asked all is well. Same investigator comes back a year later. Police escort sees no reason for kids to be taken but that doesnt matter to dcf. Children get taken anyway. Begged him to take them to my sister (the one person in this world I thought I could trust) Now because her same sex partner has fallen in love with my children and is heart broken over having to give them back my sister has done everything from false anonomys allegations to telling counslers that they are so traumatized by me that even the sound of my voice over the phone makes them wet their beds at night. Lies to me and says she never said anything like that meanwhile I have all copies of every document stating the exact opposite. Her only response is how can you believe them over me Im family

This is a not a request for help to just travel the country and sight see or go on a cruise. I lost my job in November of last year. My Mother passed away from breast cancer and heart complications, I had to take sick days to see to her care and then for the final move to hospice. The company I worked for had strict attendance policies which I of course cannot blame them for or everyone would take advantage of it. I have been unable to find work since and not for lack of trying. I have finally had a job offer but as I live on the East Coast and the job is in the Pacific Northwest, I do not have the money to make a move like this in my current financial situation. I also need a little help to get a (cheap) truck so I can get there with my belongings. The job is on a horse farm and my "horse stuff" will not fit in my car, neither would my car make it that far (1991 Grand Marquis). My home is now in foreclosure and I just spent the last of my money to pay my electric bill.
I never thought I would have to resort to this type of desperate measure just to survive. I have the chance to start over with a great job, I just need to get there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Any help I receive will be payed forward as my situation improves.

This is a not a request for help to just travel the country and sight see or go on a cruise. I lost my job in November of last year. My Mother passed away from breast cancer and heart complications, I had to take sick days to see to her care and then for the final move to hospice. The company I worked for had strict attendance policies which I of course cannot blame them for or everyone would take advantage of it. I have been unable to find work since and not for lack of trying. I have finally had a job offer but as I live on the East Coast and the job is in the Pacific Northwest, I do not have the money to make a move like this in my current financial situation. I also need a little help to get a (cheap) truck so I can get there with my belongings. The job is on a horse farm and my "horse stuff" will not fit in my car, neither would my car make it that far (1991 Grand Marquis). My home is now in foreclosure and I just spent the last of my money to pay my electric bill.
I never thought I would have to resort to this type of desperate measure just to survive. I have the chance to start over with a great job, I just need to get there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Any help I receive will be payed forward as my situation improves.

I am an avid reader and writer since I was a teenager. While I write and read on a variety of topics, my favorite genre is fantasy.

To keep things short and simple, I finally got my first novel-which is geared towards teenagers and young adults-published and it is for sale through the kindle store. I decided after several years of rejection through taditional publishers, to go the kindle (and other handheld device) route. Doing it this way gives the average lover of fantasy the opportunity of reading my book.

While I will not get rich with this book-I am offering this at the lowest cost possible-I want to become recognized as an author. I know it will not happen over night. However, I believe that if I can sell at least 1,000 copies of my book-which is highly probable with the amount of individuals who own a kindle or have a kindle app on their phones-I will be heading in the right direction.

So please help me reach my goal of selling 1,000 copies.

By the way I am in the middle of editing a second fantasy novel, which I also plan to distribute to Kindle.

After leaving catering college at the age of just 20, I embarked on my career, but it was taken away along with my life just a few months later, ( im now 55 ) during college my dad died of cancer, it had been my turn to watch over him that night, I was just 15 years old, and I awoke to find that he had died during the night, his hand had locked on to mine whelst I had been a sleep, and I had to have it removed by my big sister, I cannot forget this it broke my heart,my dad was just 47 when he died, it affected me for the rest of my life.

It also profundley changed my mothers demeaner, it changed her, and I was last to leave the family home, and it was so hard.

To make matters worse only a few years ago my mother passed on, and I was away dealing with my own medical problem at the time and missed her passing on, I wanted to say goodbye, it haunts me to this day, that my parents left this world in such a manner.

I am in my late 50s now, back in the early 70s, I was a passenger in a friends car, he pulled out into the path of another car, onto a fast piece of road, and our car was hit at over 90 miles an hour. My seat belt broke with the impact, and I was thrown through the cars windscreen. I, landed on the tarmac and next the car I had been in was bulldozed over my body.

It bulldozed the other car on to my neck and chest, trapping me under it. My arms were pinned to my chest by the cars sill, and my neck was bent up against a cold granite wall, my right leg was wrapped around the back axle. I was ready to die, but held on to life with every passing breath, god must have been watching over me that night.

It took the fire crew an hour to cut me out, then it was off to the hospital, on arrival all my clothes were cut from my body, on examination it was found that my right leg was near on severed from the knee, and was hanging on by a thread of my skin.

In addition I had 4 broken ribs, severe cuts and bruises everywhere and a small spilt in my skull, this skull spilt was not significant at the time, but would go on to ruin my entire life. My mouth was full of broken windscreen glass and I was vomiting blood because of it. Back in the 70s there was no MRI scanner so I was just given an X ray of my head.

Because my leg was the main problem the little split in my skull was just left then as being nothing, but it would play a big part in my life. After being cleaned up and admitted to the ward, I settled back to a 12 week stay, and Around the 3 week mark of being in hospital, the surgeon said there was now no chance of me being able to walk again on my right leg.

I broke down in tears, cried a river and could not understand why me. During my stay in hospital my boss came in and told me he could no longer keep my position open for me. This was devastating for me, I had worked so hard at college to be a chef, and had climbed my way up the ranks to be a chef in charge.

And was now at the age of just 20 cooking in a world famous Hotel, and it was my life, I had left school only 5 years beofre the accident, and had studied at college to be a chef, now because of this crash my career was finished in one hit, my employer had spoken to the drs, who had said working in a kitchen enviroment would be to dangerous for me, so my career was over right there right then.

I now lay in the bed stunned and deeply hurt that because of this accident, I had now lost everything at the age of just twenty!. Then one day I noticed some feeling in my right legs big toe, I screamed for the nurse, and she brought along a Dr.
Over the coming weeks I fully regained the use of my right leg. Of course I thought everything was going to be alright, but from the day I left hospital some 35 years ago now to this day, I have suffered so much.

You see the knock on the head I had during the car crash, damaged the cerebellum part of my brain, a part called the cerebellum tonsil. The severe knock to my head caused the tonsil, to drop out of the cerebellum part of my brain a few mm. And for the last 35 years this part of my brain as been dropping slowley a few mm each year towards my brain stem.

The affect it as is to disturb the cerebral spinal fluid that goes around my brain. The tonsil dangles into a space where it should not be, disrupting the flow of csf, which in turns gives me a wide range of medical disorders.

I suffer with ringing sounds in both my ears every day, 7 days a week, I have headaches daily, coupled with dizziness sickness, and pain in spine and neck, some days i cant feel my legs or walk on them, some days my arms dont work, my balance is hopeless, I cant sleep for severe pain, I cry all the time in private because of the situation I have been in these last 35 years.

To look at me I look like any normal kinda guy but life as been so tough these last 35 years.
The brain surgeons that I have seen have told me that to operate as a 75% chance of death for me, so they prefer me to live with the disabilities until such a time when I become in risk of death, and then they will operate on me seeing theres no other option, this means I live with countless medical conditions all of which I have had to live with for 35 years.

These medical conditions have made my life a living hell, for 35 years ive been dizzy off balance, severe headaces, and forced to go to bed every night knowing that I could die at any given time.
I lay in bed with symptoms of my brain damage rushing all over my body, trying to think positive for 35 years, im now 55, and wish so very very much that I could have given my wife and children a proper home to live in, one we owned, in a nice area, and not to have had to rely on handouts from the goverment merely to excist.

I cry, ive cried oceans of tears in despair in private, while Ive tried to work a way out of this hell for my family and me,but of course my disabilies dont allow me to get a break, so just had to live it for 35 years, ive never stopped trying, but ive made my illness well worse, and just cant do it anymore.

I was a young man of just 20 years old, and my whole life and anyone who would be with me, had changed in the blink of an eye. We got no compensation back when I was 20, and I was a passenger!!! I got shafted by the insurance company, with no dad, and mum still grieving his death, I got ripped off by the othersides insurers. If I was able to just change one thing in my past, it would be to not except that lift in my friends car.

The worst thing about all of what happened to me is, that for the first 12 years after my accident none of the medical people we went to see knew what could be making me so very very ill, so it was hard to get any help at all, after 12 years of seeing hundreds of doctors, one of them finally!!! decided to allow me to have a full brain and spine MRI, but this same doctor had been writing in my medical records that I was a waste of time and that nothing would be found wrong with my brain.

He, had written in my medical notes that there would be no scan because it would be a waste of time, He then reluctently gave me a brain scan, and reported it has normal to my family doctor.
My wife then ordered up copies of my medical records from that doctors hospital, and we found that he had lied about my brain scan, the brain scan records stated that I had a very rare brain damage that would be caused by a trauma such as a car crash.

We can only think like our family doctor does, that the dr who had written my brain scan results to be normal, was trying to cover him self after years of writing in my medical record rubbish about me, and now seeing that I had a rare brain damage had tried to cover it up"!!!!.
I was so angry after the last 12 years of hell, and to now see that this showed that my brain had been damaged severely all those years before, and that I had been made to live in terror all those years that had just passed.

My family said we should get a solicitor to champion our case, and we did, but the one we chose was a bad one, who during our legal case was struck off for mishandling another bigger case, it was in all the newspapers, and when that solicitor was barred from practising, our case was left in such a state that no other solicitor would touch it.
We took my case to 3 other solicitors, all of which said that the 1st soliictor had ruined of chance of winning, and we were left to suffer.

All of these things have mede me so very very tired, plus heavy debt, all my medical symptoms to cope with, and tring to live on pennies, the goverment gives very small amounts to live on, it just about covers food rent and some of the other costs of life. My life, and others with me as been so hard since 20 years old, thes last 35 years feel like 200 years to my body and soul.

So many horrable things have happend to me, my whole life as been blighted from such a young age, ive tried, ive tried so hard, im tired now so very very tired,
As I write this, I find it hard to think, motavation is so hard, each day is full with pain, grief, despair, money truly is the only way we can feel a little better, but we cant get any, so its bills bills bills, we live, but we dont do any more than that.

Now its just me and my wife, who means everything to me, I want holidays and nice things in our home, but we live on pennies and are feeling the affects of what happened to myself 35 years ago. I want my wife to enjoy life the way we were ment too.

My wife helped me through every year and we have 3 wonderful children, these days its been tough trying to make a living owing to my disablement, in the early days of my children growing up, I tried with every part of my determination to make a good home for them, but we could only ever live in social housing, and it was so so hard growing up in some of the areas we had to live in.
As my health as gotten worse we took on debt to keep above water so to speak, benefits were no where enough to live on. my wife and I now owe £50,000 in loans and credit cards, all of which over the last 35 years as built up just to roof and feed our family, and pay ever increasingley high water electric and gas bills.

I have had my dignity taken at the age of just 20, 35 years ago, and have lived a hellish life of pain, and tearful memories of what I use to be. none of what happened to me was my doing, just a passenger in a car.

Hello, I am a married woman in my 20's with a small son and one on the way in December. I am currently a stay-at-home mom. I have a BS in business management and economics. I have had a sound business idea for a year but I do not have the extra funds to bring it to reality. It is a niche vending business with relatively low start-up capital, about $5000. I have 4 guaranteed locations lined up and several others I am in talks with. The $5000 pays for the product machine needed for the locations, filing with the state, tax, shipping, and copies of necessary sales materials and contracts. My vending business requires no inventory, employees, office location, or overhead. It is a simple concept (don't want to give too many details online) with the added bonus of being a niche business. My concept is virtually non-existant in my area and the feedback I've gotten so far has been extremely positive. I am willing to give more details if necessary.
This business would help my family in ways you can't understand. Due to an unscrupulous family member, my credit is bad and I cannot apply for a traditional business loan. I would be able to pay off long-standing debts and help relieve my dear husband of financially supporting our family, while also being able to stay at home with our expanding family. I also need this for me. I need to feel like I am contributing positively to my family and to our neighborhood and beyond. I want to put my business knowledge to work and not waste my degrees. I've spent this past year doing my due dilligence and research around my area and based on my findings my business will be extremely successful. I appreciate any and everything you could spare, each dollar brings me that much closer to my dream.

I need help urgently. I have been suffering from Pott’s Spine ( Tuberculosis of Spine ) for last two years which has damaged my vertebrae. Initially my left hand and leg were almost paralyzed due to this disease. After a prolonged treatment, my leg and hand are alright now, but I have become very weak physically and can’t work the way I used to do before; because of the damage to the spine. It has become almost impossible for me to even continue with the medicines as we do not have any money. I experience severe pain in my back on a regular basis, but can’t get it treated. The last time, I went to a doctor; was in the month of October 2009. After that, I have not been able to have a check up, and my situation is deteriorating. I have not been able to work for last two years because of limited mobility. Whatever savings we had, were all used up in my medical treatment. I even sold many household items to meet the expenses. Now, we are left with nothing, and are on the verge of starvation. My children have been out of school for last one year. They are losing on education and everything good in life, and I can only see it and die every single moment of my life. We are ruined completely. I live in a rented accommodation with my wife and children, and it has become almost impossible for me to even pay the rent, thus facing the danger of being homeless. After attending to me day and night, and running from pillar to post to manage for my medicines and food for all the family members; now my wife has also developed serious medical complications. But, I have not been able to get her any medical treatment. Still, she is the only person who sometimes manages for some money, which has kept us all alive so far.
Since I can’t do a regular job, I want to start a small shop selling household items so that I could feed my family. I would appeal to all the people, who like to help others, to help me and give me and my family another opportunity to survive. I would be really grateful to all those people who would like to extend any kind of help to me. I want just one more opportunity to survive and start the struggle of life once again.
