The past two years have been hellish for me. I have lost everything but my faith and absolute love for my daughter. My ex-wife and her mother have alienated me from my daughter since her birth two years ago. I left a comfortable job and home in a state on the Gulf Coast to move to the East Coast state my daughter was taken to, so that I could be involved my child's life. Upon arriving, my then wife (an attorney) and her mother (child psychiatrist)began alienating my daughter from me in a variety of ways. I initiated the legal process with a very reputable law firm who has handled the divorce component. We agreed to a temporary visitation schedule, but due to my limited financial means the custody component is still ongoing. I had to file for bankruptcy last month (losing my house and all financial holdings I possessed). I continue to support my daughter via support. I'm currently attempting to save up enough money to pay the $5,000 retainer fee required by my attorney (I've worked 2 jobs since I moved here 2 years ago). Once I pay her, she can begin helping me gain equal custodial rights when considering my daughter. I'll be thankful for ANY amount of monetary support here. Peace and Love

I need to come up with $4k so I can get a different 4x4 truck so I can move for school.

Where I'm moving has terrible winters and 4x4 is necessary.


I have an absolute POS truck now.... Everything is broken!
*4x4 doesn't work
*tranny is going out
*brakes are basically gone, it's just metal on metal
*has a bad hub
*has a bad wheel bearing

At this point, it's going to cost more to fix it then it will be to get something else.

I finally got myself jnto college and it would be amazing if I could have a nicer truck that would get me through the winter safely.

I'm hoping that some wonderfully nice, good samaratian can help me out with this.

I'd even be willing to sign some sort of contract for repayment. I just need to get back on my feet and this is a big component of it.

I guess it's not life or death. I'm not about to lose my home or can't put food on the table. I just can't afford it otherwise. I'm a stay at home dad, laid off for 2.5 years. We make it, There just hasn't been any play money in a long time. My wife prefers it this way, no daycare for our 3 year old. I've enjoyed the time spent with her immensely. My "me" time is riding my road bike. It's an entry level Giant Defy 3, and the Sora/2200 component group is annoyingly beneath my skill level. I ride about 140 miles and climb 12,000 feet a week. I'd like to upgrade to Sram Rival, but I'd be happy with Apex, or even Shimano 105. Thanks!
