Hi,
I have been told by my bank that I have got to pay £600 by next Friday, or they will send in debt collectors. I am not asking for you to donate the entire amount- just something small that will help towards it. Whether it is 0.50 or 50.00 it all helps.
Please help me with this every donation counts. I will be so very grateful.

I'm really embarrassed to ask for money, but after discussing with my wife the last two days we decided that anything will help. We need help to get out of debt, the reason for the majority of the debt is mainly my son's school fees. Over the last 3yrs we have maxed out on 2 credit cards and 2 loans, including my wife's inheritance she got from her grandma. I went to the school before and tried to explain my predicament and they said that there is many people that struggle, they can only reduce payment by 10%, that is if the board agrees. Work is only prepared to lend me a small portion of that (meaning more debt), and they told me to declare myself insolvent! I have already cancelled my car and life insurances, and reduced my medical insurance. I mostly work 6 to 7 days a week @ 14hrs a day between 2 jobs.
I have recently started making bio fuel from used cooking oil to help reduce my fuel cost. I don't know what else to do, the bills just keep piling up!
All I can do now is ask...beg...for help, I don't even know if this will work.
I don't expect someone to make all my debt disappear, that be nice tho :). But I kindly ask if some people would not mind donating even as little as $1 anything extra would help.
And if you've read this far, thank you for reading my post, and taking time to try and help others. I hope and pray that some day someone can help you too.

Update 29-02-2012 nope, nothing yet...damn scammers, how they got my e-mail, dunno, but wanting to pay a donation claiming they are from legitimate companies, but have a yahoo email? Apparently the CEO, asking for me to pay a portion back to them...and and and...most ppl come here because they are desperate, and then among the debt collectors and lawyers you still have to deal with assholes like that too!

I'm in dire need of your help and I don't know where else to turn to save my husband's restaurant business of 20 years. He started from scratch, and we've been putting in the long endless hours. The economic recession hit us badly; we have used all our savings to keep afloat and keep our loyal staff employed as long as we could. I am a stay at home mom to two little girls. They are both under 2 years old. I took out $50,000 in student loan debt thinking I would get a great paying job that would enable me to pay back those loans. Unfortunately, that has not been the case. Most of my loans are still in unemployment deferment for a few more months, but I have a private loan that is not willing to help me at all. They are willing to settle for $4706.71 if I pay in full by the end of Feb or they will sue. This is what I am most worried about. The cost of daycare for my little ones is more than I am getting offered for jobs in my field. I have gone as far as trying to find children I can care for to make even a little money, but so far that has not panned out either. Because of my husband's job we have moved away from family and friends and don't have that resource to help with caring for the children. My husband is going broke trying to pay our basic necessities and cannot help me pay these loans. We are so desperate for any help we can get. I never imagined I would be begging for money from strangers, but this is a last resort. I have collectors and lawyers threatening me now and I just need a little help until I can find a source of income. Even $1 would help. I would definately pay it forward once I'm in a position to do so. I am an honest, caring person who has always given help to others whenever I could. Hello people of the internet!

My story isn't as tragic as a lot of people's on here. I am not ill, no one is dying and I do not have a spouse or family to support.

I am, however, quite simply up shit creek.

As a student I was pretty financially screwed. I worked in a bar but still struggled to pay my rent and bills so I constantly put groceries, bills and general life expenses on my credit card thinking "I'll pay it off when I finish uni".

As the years went by this "I'll pay it off when..." became a mantra and I continued to put various items on credit when I "needed" to. From paying for my round in the pub to trips away and buying books on eBay I now owe around $30,000 I think. I can't even look at my statements any more.

I am now working as a special education teacher, which is a job I love with all my heart, and going to work everyday and making kids happy keeps me going.
Unfortunately my salary is a bit crap, and after rent, bills and food I actually can't pay my minimum repayments on my credit debt. I pay my bills when I get paid and then live off my credit cards because I have no money left.

I have looked into various debt consolidation/IVA/bankruptcy/personal loan options and unfortunately none of them are available to me or going to make my situation any better. I have even recently toyed with the idea of just not paying my debts and letting the debt collectors come after me, but my registered banking address is also my parent's address and the thought of the stress and worry that all of this would cause my parents makes that the worst option of all.

It seems that begging has become my last resort.

Please help.

Thank you for reading this post. I am a breast cancer patient. I never thought I would have to resort to begging for money, but my cancer treatment used up my savings. I recently took out loans to pay up some medical bills related to cancer treatment. I couldn't take the calls from the hospital bill collectors anymore. Unfortunately, I am struggling to pay the monthly loan payments. Please help me, if you are able. I will need to have cancer treatment for the remainder of my life. I worked and will continue to work full-time despite treatment, but because I work I fall through the cracks and do not qualify for any type of assistance.

I never in my life thought I would ask for anything, no matter how tough things got I always managed to pull through, but I am in need of help. I had 2 jobs but recently lost 1 and have been activity looking for 3 months. I only make 800 a month now and that barley covers my rent. I know I will eventually find employment because god is good and I am determined but right now I am struggling so bad. I have 4 boys all under age 15 and bills are piling up. My children don't know how bad things are. Between the medical bills / prescriptions due to my thyroid, hypertension, anemia and power bill and daily necessities I don't know what to do. I just have to get back on my feet. If someone can help me find another job that is fine too. I cant take the bill collectors calling me and mailing me anymore. this is not me this is so out of character for me. I am in a really tough spot right now. Anything will help. Again even if someone can help me land a stable job I would be forever thankful!

Hi,my name is R.J Brown. I am 42 yrs old.
I have recently had back surgery ddue to a job injury.
I am not in the position that I once was in staying on top of my bills.I have had to take lesser paying job due to my injury constraints.I use to drive trucks and deliver products to customers sometimes working fourteen to sixteen hour days. The job paid descent wages. Now I can no longer work that type of job. My medical bills are pilling up and most are delinquent.
Can somebody help me get these nagging bill collectors off my back.
My daughter who is fourteen has to go without certain things in order that those bills get paid. She is a great child earning all A's since the fourth grade. Now she is a freshman in and plays basketball for her school and might become mvp for the season while being promoted to the varsity team. She stays on top of her grades allways.
My wife has been a beacon of hope through this whole back injury process. Now I am not able to even to reward her for being such a great wife and mother.Please someone read this and help us get ahead just a little more.

I've been married to my husband for three years. He recently left me and our four children on 11/4/11 and files for divorce on 12/21/2011(a day after our anniversary and four days before Christmas). He makes all the money and changed bank accounts and his paycheck direct deposit to another account. I have bill collectors calling me daily and I can't buy Christmas for our kids. When I told him I may have to go bankrupt, he said "I'm sorry to hear that". I have never been do desperate in my entire life and I'm broken inside and out. I have been praying for a miracle....

i never thought i would come to this as this is the last resort. I have been having financial issues for 11 years now and tried so hard to get it sorted. My family had so much financial issues and i had to work and educate myself at a young age. I had to take multiple loans and roll from there. I have tried to get a debt consolidation loan but efforts were futile as i am overcommitted. I have a stable job and a 7 month old kid. Things have gotten worse and i am being chased by debt collectors.

i just need to settle my debts and get a fresh start for my family. It is taking a toll and the stress is unbearable.

My wife and I have been married one year; I just finished up a teacher education program and am now on the job hunt with dual endorsements in teaching Elementary Education (K-8) and Special Education (P-12). Everyone has been telling me how much easier it is for me to find a job. Unfortunately, in this economy, that has not been the case. I’ve been unemployed since June and have not even been able to secure more than a couple of substitute jobs. With such extreme layoffs this last June, the districts around where we live give all sub postings to their laid-off teachers first. This means a newbie, such as me, gets little-to-no work at all. As a result of that, my wife and I have been surviving purely on credit cards. She has been absolutely amazing, as her job has been keeping us (barely) afloat since April.
We have not eaten out since June, and our money has gone to NOTHING but rent, car payments, groceries, and gas. We both only eat about one meal a day. We’re getting sick of going to bed hungry, and getting home hungry. I have been a pilot since I was 18 and I have been “grounded” for the last 26 months due to our situation. I am sick and tired of the endless calls from debt collectors and breathe a sigh of relief every time I wake up and see my car still in front of our apartment. We haven’t even visited our families more than a couple times and they live only 30 minutes away. I have finally found part time employment as a tutor, which has been amazing as I FINALLY get to work with students, but the hours are hardly enough to pay for transportation there and back.
At the moment we are $24,000 in debt, and my student loan bills will start showing up in December. This will destroy us unless a miracle happens! And this is where your generosity comes in! I know it is a cliché, but literally EVERY penny helps us out. We are in our late 20’s and have made all the right decisions, kept ourselves out of trouble, and have been very responsible with the resources we have. My name is Jay and I work in nyc doing security. I have debt and I try to pay my bills. I work hard and do alot of overtime. When my paycheck gets deposited into my account the debt collectors take money from my account, so much money that I can barely pay my bills. Hello My name is David. Two years ago I was coming out of my apartment and there was a car in the parking lot that accidentally back out and ran over my right foot completing severing it. I did not have insurance at the time and my medical bills are over $40,000. Bill collectors keep calling my home and harassing me. I am now disabled and Social Security has denied me but I am appealing their decision. My foot is reattached but not mobile, it grew back improperly so it had to be reattached for the second time and now it it attached but still not functioning normally. Hi everyone. I am a 35 year-old single mother of a 14-month-old baby girl and she is the light of my life. When I found out I was pregnant my boyfriend left me and has been in hiding ever since. Child support has not happened yet, as they are STILL trying to verify his wages. They say he is collecting unemployment now.

I work, doing a couple of different freelance jobs, but lately work has been very slow. I couldn't pay rent October first and am being evicted. My landlord is being very strict, and trying to make an example out of me because they are trying to get a modification for the loan on the building to keep it out of foreclosure. My car is $260 away from being completely paid off and the collectors call every day.

I start a new, steady job on Nov. 1 but until I start getting paid I'm barely scraping by. I get $300 a month in food stamps temporarily but no cash aid because they say my $500 a month in unemployment benefits disqualifies me. How they figure that much is enough for a mother and child in Los Angeles is beyond me. I have no one to borrow money from, and no where to go when they force me to leave. All of my family is on the east coast and they are all broke too. I'm not even a month past due with my rent, and if I have the money by the time I go to court (whenever that is) the judge will probably let me pay it and keep the eviction off my record.

So I owe them $1495. If I could pay it, I would be able to put in my 30 days' notice and actually get my security deposit back after I leave.

Maybe you have this extra money to help someone in need, or maybe you have an apartment you could rent out to us when we do leave. I would feel very depressed and unsafe living in Section 8 housing.

I'm trying so hard. If you can help at all it would be an answer to my prayers. You can meet us and see that our situation is true if you would like also. And maybe I can pay you back and/or offer services like babysitting, tutoring, balloon twisting, face painting, etc. We can talk more on the phone.

I am in sales but my sales have dwindled by 75% over the last few years due to the economy and too much competition in my industry. I am barely getting by, thank goodness for the $1.00 store!.
