Hello there! I am husband and father in a household of 3. My baby boy is going to turn 1 year old on June 23rd, 2012. I have a job as a 4th grade teacher on an Indian Reservation in South Dakota. I have been married for 6 years now. I believe I make good financial choices. We do not use tobacco or drink. We have never been criminally fined. I do not own a shiny brand new car (our vehicles are 2001 Olds Alero and 1996 Dodge Dakota), or a huge house (we are renting a 3 bedroom house) I consider myself very hard working.

Yet, we are spiraling into more and more into debt with each passing month. Despite our modest living and good choices, we are on a path to bankruptcy. I will be forever grateful for any help my family may receive through this website. We have about $30,000 in credit card debt, $15,000 in student loans, and $3,000 in medical bills. If people become extremely generous to our situation, we will not accept more help than these debts. I also look forward to updating everyone about my (hopefully) dwindling debts through a facebook page I created specifically for this plea for help!

I am a mother of an autistic son. I am in need of help with bills and car repairs. I am a private contractor for a local Medicaid Cab company. This is a self-employed position and there are expenses with it. I have 3 more years to pay on a loan for vehicle that is in need of an engine and possibly repairs on the axles. My income is determined by the fluctuation of clients needing to go to the doctor and the gas prices. Gas has hit $4.15 a gallon here and it takes a big chunk out of my income.
I have been married for almost 16 years to a wonderful guy. He lost his job with a company that makes car parts the last time the economy fell. This is a small town and the economy around us is based on the car business and it is still slow. Trying to find another job has been very hard on the whole family and my low income is making it a lot harder. Losing his job and not being able to provide for us has taken a hardship on my husband. He has become very depressed and with no health insurance we cannot get help. He has gained a lot of weight and now is unable to walk very far.
I am getting a little bit of help from the Government but they are telling me that they do not have a self-employed category. This means that they do not take the gas and repairs out of my income before they put it in so they are showing that I am making way more than I am.
I have asked several family members for help and they cannot help. I can only hope and pray for God to provide us with a miracle because we are a month behind on our rent. Catching up will be impossible. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Hello BegsList. My name is Chris. I'm 19 years of age, and I live in Philadelphia. At the age of 18, I escaped an abusive household to enter the adult world. I am afflicted with autism and severe ADHD. I don't let those setbacks get to me though- I'm enterprising and constantly looking for employment. I finally had a good place- I found a well-paying position at Walgreens, and they transferred me into the Philadelphia market. Not three months after arriving, I was unexpectedly laid off. Due to some funky requirements in the rules, I was not able to draw unemployment. I have been diligently hunting for jobs ever since that fateful day, but unfortunately my efforts have proven fruitless. I have volunteered most of my time to a small non-profit when I'm not job searching. We're a small interfaith group that hits the streets with a message of love and peace for all, along with participating in several community service projects and education programs. We are currently experiencing a whole host of financial hardships as a whole. My beg is two pronged: On one hand, I am three months behind on my rent and on the verge of eviction. On the other hand, I am devoted to making my community better and making people a little happier through the non-profit. This is a last resort for me, as I've exhausted all other channels. As of today I am currently £23,002.27 in debt. It is a lot of money which I am paying off bit by bit, but when you know your time on this Earth could be limited by cancer, paying this off means much more than it would normally.

In 2005 I was diagnosed with a Malignant Melanoma on my head, it was a large tumour which grew further than it should have thanks to a blunder by my doctor. By the time I had it removed, it was a stage four lesion and my chances were slim.

But with surgery and radiotherapy I managed to get through and for one year I was pretty much all clear! but this was short lived when, after a routine scan, I was given the grave news that it had become metastatic and spread to my liver and my lungs.

That was three years ago and by the grace of God I have survived with little change, but ever since this terrible ordeal I have sunk further in to debt. As you might imagine, the propensity to spend money in times of hardship is something I could not avoid.

I don't know how much time I have left and as it is I am struggling to pay debts and get through on a day-to-day basis.
I would like to live a little before my health deteriorates, go on holiday, have a bit of fun and I am worried for my wife too as I can't take out life insurance with my condition, and I want to make sure she is secure after I am gone.

Any donation is good, if I could pay off all of my debts so that we would have a bit of money to use to enjoy what could be my last years, even better. One thing I would be certain is that my gratitude would not be suitably expressed in words, as it would be genuinely immense.

I am looking for help because my situation has gone from bad to worst. I have been battling a medical condition called Ankylosing spondylitis. I am also taking care of my mother who is 89 years old and in kidney failure, and to make matters worst, my nephew, who has been living with us since his mother's death, was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma and undergoing treatment at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas.

I was out of work for over a year because of the pain and inflammation that is constant. Last month I was forced to go back to work despite of my medical condition because of the expenses of traveling back and forth to get chemo therapy for Chris, the expense of adult care. Additionally, my mother was place on hospice care last week.

Then, of all things my car breaks down. Since there is no public transportation, I need help getting my car fixed. If I can just get some help with the repairs to my car, we can make it.
We have sold everything we could sale, we have cut back on food to 2 meals a day and we have no extra anything. This has been going on for almost a year. We have been denied social security benefits as well as medicaid, which is in appeals, but in the mean time, I need to get to work.

Hello everyone, I've never looked for a handout in my life but I'm at my wits end. I recently re-married and am now divorcing. My house is in foreclosure (which I would like to keep) and my bills are piling up because I'm receiving no help from my childrens mother (I have them full-time). I would love to get a 2nd job but I'm unable due to the fact I have only my sister near me but she works opposite shifts and is unable to watch the kids while I work another job. My husband Chris is a wonderful man. He will be turning 40 in August and I would love to surprise him with his dream car, a Mustang GT Convertable. He never, ever asks for anything, but he is always willing to give help to others. He forfeited college to take care of his ailing mother. When he was 21 he had a '93 mustang which he sold after his mother died so he could be more practical and be there for his father. His father then stole thousands of dollars from him and disappeared. When I decided to go back to college he supported me. When we had difficulty concieving, he was by my side, and had the task of injecting me daily with hormones. He went to work at night so that he could be there for our children when they were toddlers, as well as always being home in case they get sick at school. He takes care of the house daily, laundry, vacuuming, making the beds, so that I can focus my full attention on our children at night. HE loves animals and donates to variosu causes. When my family calls upon him for help with a project he is there. He stayed in the hospital with my mother day in and day out after she suffered an grand mal seizure during the hours that no one else could be there. I have never been able to give him an amazing gift to show my appreciation, and he so deserves something wonderful and out of this world.
