Please Help Me Relocate My Talented & Gifted Kids to a Safer Place
Posted by Momskids8577 on 2011-10-11 13:58:25
the ADN (Associate Degree Nursing) Program at my local community college. On
Febuary 16th, 2011, my childrens father wipped out our entire savings and
checking account and the contents of our home, then disappeared. There was
absolutely no warning of this. My children and I simply returned home from
school to an almost completely empty house.
My immediate thought was that we were victoms of a burglary. However,
shortly after the police arrived, neighbors reported something even more
disturbing. My childrens father , along with three other men in a huge
company moving truck, spent most of the early morning and mid-afternoon
moving things out of our home. Neighbors said they thought we were just
moving. They suspected no problems. Even though he had taken every household
appliance, all electronics and my childrens cellos, keyboards and computers,
there was nothing the police could do. He was indeed a resident and on the
lease.
I tried contacting him on his cell only to find it disconnected. When I
called his office, I was informed that he had been seperated from the firm
for over a month.
This was awfull and my children and I were in need of answers. To cheer us all up, I decided that we should go out to dinner and
fun. That's when I found out about the accounts.
Although there was no furniture, well, only the childrens bedroom furnitue,
we remained in our home for as long as we could. I started working part time
at a call center at night while continuing my classes in the day.
We soon had to move of course. We were evicted for non payment of rent. I
found a one bedroom appartment that I could afford. This meant moving the
children into another school district.
At the time my daughter was in seventh grade, taking highschool algebra 1,
and highschool english1. Her other classes were all AP 8th grade courses.
She was also in orchestra with her cello. The new district does not allow
7th graders to take highschool class, so she was not able to continue on her
path. Not only did we have to face the challenge of academics, we also had a
severe problem with bullies. Because I had to be at school myself, the
children had to ride the school bus daily. In a horrible neighborhood, they
were beaten often and picked on daily because of how they talked and
dresssed. Telling the school principles and the police only made matters
worse for us and our apartment. The parents live in our aparments and they
are not happy with me calling the authorities on them. I have had widows
borken out in my car, tires cut and the front door of my appartment painted
with ugly words.
I sat out of school this semester in order to escort my children safely to
and from school each day.For now, I work at a call center
m-th 8am-3pm and sat 7am-4pm.
I am trying to move my children to a neighborhood they can be safe in and a
school that is able to meet them at their academic level and they can also
be safe in. If this could happen then I could return to my nursing studies
and the children could return to a safe environment and school.
I pay 400 per month for our one bedroom we are in now. I found some
apartments in a a safer neighborhood with schools that offer orchestra and
college prep courses. ( I have not been able to pay for any private lessons
scince their father left. And their new schools do not offer orchestra. )
The one bedrooms in this particular area are 750/monthly .
I am begging for help to raise enough money to move my children into a
better neighborhood before January so that I may continue in my studies and
they can safely do the same.
I have a 7 year old boy and 13 year old daughter.
I have completed all of my support courses for my nursing. I completed my
first year last year and this summer. So, there is only one more year
nursing school that I have before I graduate. I am pleading with anyone and
everyone to please help me. Any amount will help me reach my goal.
I am asking for help to maintain a 750 per month one bedroom apartment for
12 months. January2012 to January 2013.
Any amount that you can donate will be very helpful.
Thank you for taking the time out to read about my children and I.
Thank you
Help Me Spread The Word About A Project That Makes People Feel Good?

I was going to ask for help with my rent originally but for some reason this project seems more important to me right now!
And I realize there are many much more worthy causes on here but if you are in a very giving mood maybe you'll have room for me too...
The project is called Positive Post-its (http://fb.com/positivepostits) and as the name suggests it's basically a social/art experiment involving the spreading of joy/love/hope/positivity etc via the very humble Post-it note!
I was so bogged down last year with personal and financial issues and realized that so many people around me were facing the same negative distractions day in day out too so I decided to start leaving these cheery messages/drawings around the place. I soon noticed that it really helped lift my mood and it made some random strangers pretty happy too!
I'd love to be able to keep this project going and set up a decent online home for it with a domain and hosting and maybe even pay for some advertising but unfortunately I've been out of work for a while now and I hope to return to art college so the prospects for cash that I can put towards this are pretty dismal.
If you like the idea or need a pick me up then maybe you might like to join us on Facebook and get involved.
In terms of money, it wouldn't take much and if it wouldn't mean a sacrifice on your part I would be over the moon with any donations you might consider!
Our motto: "The best way to cheer yourself up is to cheer somebody else up." - Mark Twain.
ANY donation would cheer me up like there's no tomorrow!
I heart your face! xoxo
Thank you for taking the time to read this too! You're pretty amazing aren't you...I can tell :D
P.S. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'm so so so grateful! You should definitely feel confident in the fact that you've made my day! My Paypal Account is : aoife.dwyer@gmail.com

Ex-Homeless family needs a little holiday hope

Brother would like toy for Christmas
Posted by simplysunshine on 2010-11-29 20:58:58
Mom faces another surgery in December, and may need to have another to fully regain her ability to walk. Therefore, a lot of our money is going toward hospital bills. I appreciate any donation you can give to help me be able to get him the toy he has been wanting. I know your gift will lift his spirits as well as mine and our mothers.
Thanks!
Hullo. I'm looking for a miracle.

I'm just trying to make some money for my kitten and I to get some food into our belly's. It's the holiday season of the year, perhaps someone can spare some holiday cheer for me.
Thank you for your time.
I'm not gonna make it and I want to
Posted by averywhatley on 2010-11-03 02:58:58
Keeping it simple:
I need to get up-to-date on my rent first and foremost and I need another job. There are other things too: I'd love to make a Grocery Outlet/ CostCo run to stock up food and sundries... I need new glasses to replace ones lost in a purloined purse over the summer... it'd be terrific to pay down some medical bills or even just go to the dentist (it's been several years)to make sure I still don't have any cavities.
About me:
I'm an adult student, doing well academically. I enjoy the track I'm on and believe I'm on the right one to boot. I carry a full-time course-load and intend to maintain this momentum. I dropped out years ago and am glad to be back (I'm in my 3rd Quarter back) and it's good for my morale.
I'm unwilling to do any Adult work or anything like that. I've tried that route (again, years back) and for my personality it's no good- I just become sad and resentful and wasted (and I'm in love with someone who'd leave if I did something like that and I don't want to lie and he's good for morale too).
I do occasionally pick up odd jobs (housekeeping, catering, landscaping, babysitting, whatever) and that helps with kibble.
How did I get here?:
When I enrolled in school I was just employed enough to make ends meet and have a little slush fund too. One job from that time has had to cut my hours by 75% and the tips during my remaining shifts are also down. The other regular job I was working ended after my then boss became particularly inappropriate and abusive while late in paying me (I'm still waiting on that check which I believe will come in about two weeks- long story but that's probably within all rights).
So that's me. My friends would help more if they could (and they cheer me on and cover my movies and the like) and so would my family (older parents, teacher siblings) but they can't. And my problems are causing problems to others when I can't pay my bills and so even more I want this all solved. My landlord is the opposite of a jerk and I am supposed to be a regular, reliable source of income.
Thanks for reading. Thanks for helping. I will send out a God Bless request and continue to pray- however, if you don't believe in God that's fine too. Have a great day.
Single disabled father of 3.

I am a single father of 3, and the picture is one of me after a woke from a coma, from being hit by a car doing 60 mph. I posted it so people would not think I was one of these people who are just trying to "hustle" some one. My family and myself have been living without gas the past few months, but that has been fine being that it is summer. As of recent our landlord has givin us a notice to leave being we are a a bit over 2 months behind.
Everything I receive from disability goes into keeping us afloat, and it just does not seem to be enough. I am trying to sell our washer, a stove, and an old refrigerator (if anyone needs one in eastern OH, western PA).
My children do not deserve this, they are far beyond to great, my son is a football great, and two daughters are beautiful cheer-leaders. All three are great in school, and everyday I do not have any idea how they cope with our situation.
Any help would be appreciated more than you could ever imagine. If you need any other information or would like to contact me, you may do so at vujo1@yahoo.com.
By the way I am doing much better now, coming from a 15 percent chance to live, and family was told I would never walk again, but I do walk now. I am attempting to find part time work in the area if anyone knows, buts its kinda hard being I can not drive, (yet :) !).

My wife and I recently moved to Kansas City, Kansas from Cincinnati, Ohio in order to take care of her grandparents who are in ill health. We have left our support circle (ie: friends and family). We do not have a car to go to and from work, I have to take a taxi and my school requires me to have a laptop computer for classes. I would like to ask for help with these two things. I work hard so I am not just begging for help. I would really like some Holiday cheer right now, I think my wife and I could really use that.
Thank you so much, God bless you!!
