Post a Beg Now!

Need help getting back on my feet again!

Posted by Bumthat on 2012-05-16 16:58:00

I recently got divorced and my ex-wife took our car that was paid for to leave me with the car that I found out she hadn't made a payment in over a year on it. I thought we were a few months behind and when I ask for the bank payment slips with the bank phone number on it so I could call and arrange a weekly payment schedule to get caught up she didn't know where it was. She had actually thrown it away so I wouldn't find it. Its a small bank the wasn't even in our town so I couldn't drive up there to talk to them. I asked for the bank name so I could google it but she supposedly didn't know. Well about 2 months ago I was at work and the car got towed! I'm stuck without a car and can't work because I have no ride. She had planned to divorce me and then leave me stuck with a car that wasn't being paid for so it would be towed and leave me without means of transportation so I could work. She always paid the car payments and screwed me over so bad. It sucks. I always use to work 2 jobs and made the most money in our household. She had us move back to her home town in a house that her brother and his girlfriend lived with us so that when we got divorced I would be forced to move out. I'm staying with a friend but I pay rent and it's so hard to pay rent and save for a car when I can't make it to work most of the time cause he or his girlfriend are working and their jobs are far away. I would be so happy if someone could help me get back on my feet by getting enough money for a down payment for a car or even enough to buy a really old cheap car that can at least help me to get to and from work ok! Any amount of donations would be so very appreciated. I have linked my PayPal account to this plea for help! I beat cancer 2 years ago so I know if I could beat cancer I can overcome this obstickle with just a little help from some kind hearted generous people! I pray that someone will help me. I'm not looking for $20,000 for a brand new car I just need to raise $500-$1500 so I can use it for a down payment on a decent used car or just buy a running cheap car. I would need a few extra couple hundred dollars for my first insurance payment also. Once I get that I can go back to work full time and pay my payments on my own and also my rent. I my prayers are answer I will be truly blessed and once that happens I will start helping others in need on this site also. If someone helps me it would be only right once I'm back on my feet to help others who could use a helping hand. We all have ups and downs and struggles but sometimes we truly do need just a little help from someone else to get back up!

I truly pray that someone will help me in this rough time. I want to thank you ahead of time in helping me out. You truly are wonderful people all who help me by donating! God bless you. To everyone else that is strugglIng right now there is hope and there is light at the end of the tunnel!

God Bless!

Any donation amount will be truely appreciated!

I need help getting a car for college at UNC Charlotte

Posted by asmit472 on 2012-05-15 23:58:15

I am a sophomore at the university of UNC Charlotte. I really need a car for college because me and my family cannot afford one. A donation would be nice or if you have one for really cheap that works good that would also help. 919-273-1908

CSU Student and single mother

I recently started a relationship with a nice guy that has helped me financially, even though he has no obligation with me (20) and my daughter (4). As a college student I have been struggling financially but with his help I was doing better. Unfortunately, he has not been able to work because his truck was stolen and dismantled. We filed a stolen report but when they found the truck it was too late. Then we used all the savings we had to buy a cheap car just to move around. Unfortunately the car was taken away by the police because my boyfriend has no license and well his not able to get a license. For the past months we have struggled a lot because we have no method of transportation but the worst part is that his not able to work as much because he has no truck or car. What is left of the truck is in the junk yard and the car is still in the impound because we cannot afford to take it out. I am desperate to ask for help because we are running out of money, I have 1000 left in the bank and we only have about 200 coming in every two weeks. If we do the math we won’t make it until I receive my next financial aid in Sept. That’s four month that we have to pay bills, which sum: rent, student loan, credit cards, gas & electricity, food, phone & internet and more, 435+90+65+65+65+65+90+20+20= 915 x 4 months = 3660. Please help us pass this rough patch, so I can keep my small family and continue my education.

$700 loan, will pay back $1000 on the 10th of June

Posted by arox2389 on 2012-05-10 16:58:40

I am a graduating college senior in a bit of a financial predicament.

1. I still don't have my cap and gown. I had one, but my car got stolen and I stupidly hadn't taken it out yet, and when I got my car back it was gone. That's $89.

2. My family is coming for graduation. No one has any money, and I just want to pay for their hotel for one night so they can see me graduate. I'm the first in my family to graduate from a major university, that's $100.

3. I would love to cook a huge meal for my friends and family while they are here for my graduation. I could work wonders with just another $100.

4. My bank account is overdrawn. If it doesn't get paid in two weeks, then I can't get my financial aid from my new graduate program I'm starting in a few weeks. Its my only bank account and I won't qualify for another one because I've made some major financial mistakes while in college. Its $75 overdrawn.

5. My phone bill is due in 6 days. To avoid service interruption, I have to pay 2 months worth of the bill, since I'm behind one month. The full amount due is $175.00.

6. I was lucky enough to find an apartment I can live in for really cheap for the summer, until my full time job I just got starts and I get my financial aid from my program. The deposit for the apartment is $150, and I have the rest of May absolutely free and can even pay the rent of June when I get my financial aid from my grad program.

7. The last 11 dollars is just to have something in my pocket, since I seriously do not have any money.

I know there are probably more beggars on this site than donors, but I figured it was worth a try. This is why I need the money. If you send me $700 via paypal, I will delete this ad and send you $1000 back on the 10th of June. Guaranteed.

My grandma is in stage 4 cancer and I must see her asap

Posted by cozad on 2012-05-06 23:58:42

my grandmother is in stage 4 of pancreatic cancer - we don't know exactly how long she has left, she really could go at anytime, so it'd mean to world for me to be able to visit her one last time. I haven't seen her since 2007, when I moved to the other side of Nebraska. I've been in contact with her, and she'd like to see me as well. She lives in Crawford, Nebraska and is only 67. It's so sad because she had just beat breast cancer last year.
I currently live in Baltimore, MD and I need to catch a Greyhound bus to Cheyenne, Wyoming - from there, I'll either get a ride or catch the Denver Coach up to Alliance, Nebraska, where my father lives. I intend to stay there for at least one week while visiting, longer if possible)I have my own health issues and need to keep my doctor appts, but I'm wiling to shove those aside should I have the chance to stay in Nebraska longer). I am on SSI, so I cannot afford a ticket on my own. If I leave immediately, the ticket to Cheyenne is nearly $350 from Baltimore - a ticket for the Denver Coach from Cheyenne to Alliance will run me around $100 and I'd also like to get some extra for gas for my dad to return me to Cheyenne, or enough to catch the Denver Coach back to Cheyenne, not to mention food while there. Food is cheap out there so I wouldn't need much to avoid mild starvation =P
Well, if you can spare anything, please drop me a donation - I will pay it forward cent per cent on here as my fiances allow.

I live with my fiancee and two dogs. Currently I am the only one working because he lost his job it is so hard to get a job in this economy. i only work part-time and get minimum wage. After getting gas and paying bills there is no money left over in my paycheck so the past few months we've been eating ramen noodles and cheap foods. It would be wonderful to get some help until we can get back on our feet. Thank you for your kindness!

Victim of Rick Perry

I was one of the few employees laid off in a state that somehow survived the recession largely intact, but my position didn't thanks to a governor who rejected parts of the stimulus package. After a struggle for searching for work at home, I set out, with the meager earnings I was able to produce through freelance writing, at a whopping two cents a word, camping along the way, to apply to every open position I could find across this country. 23 months later, I'm still searching. I'm not bilingual, and I don't have a degree. What I do have is experience, an amazing way to deal with people face to face and a ridiculous work ethic, but apparently those aren't the traits looked for in this job market, merely the person who was committed enough to spend four years on a campus.

The math, well, that and the awesome algorithms behind gmail tell me I've applied to 3,150 jobs in over a dozen states. Maybe a hundred interviews from the whole lot. And according to the IRS paperwork I sent in recently, my income last year was a far cry from the most recent classification of the poverty line.

Anything helps, and would be forever appreciated.

One of these days an application will lead to an interview which will lead to an offer, but until then, what? All I can do is keep plugging away. Sleeping in my car when I can't afford a cheap motel room. Waking up to an aggravated foot and hip thanks to my injuries in a life I feel so far removed from it doesn't even feel like it was real anymore.

And I guess, come across this site from the random google search of a desperate person, trying to find some help in a world that seems to have rejected her.

The more I write, the more I keep hearing that little voice on my head saying "Quit your bitching, there are those who have it far worse.", so I'll stop now. Again, any type of help is beyond appreciated. Thank you for reading this far.

Can't use FAFSA, Grants, or Federal Monies

Posted by Future-Engineer on 2012-04-24 23:58:19

Background:

I was born in Argentina, but have lived in Texas since I was 5. I had no say in it; my parents decided that’s what was best for me since Buenos Aires was so crime-ridden. I graduated high school like normal kids, went to a community college right afterwards, and worked part time to cover its costs. I got an Associate’s in Science (Nursing) and then dropped out since I couldn't afford to attend a university nor decide on a major. My GPA was a 3.4 at the time.

I'm now 25, working full time (Geek Squad, can’t do much with an associate’s), studying electrical engineering, married to my high school sweetheart, and have my goals set! I just have one thing holding me back...MONEY. Since I backtracked when I changed majors, I had a few sophomore classes to take. I'm finishing them at the same community college, and I'm registered for the Fall semester at the University of Texas at Dallas (Junior level courses). I have gotten nothing but As since I've been back!

Why I Need Your Help:

Now, you may be wondering, why can't I use FAFSA? Well, I recently obtained my permanent residence. That was a big roadblock growing up. One of the agreements I had with our nation was that I would not use federal funds (welfare, food stamps, grants, FAFSA, etc) for the next 10 years. I work full time and attend as many classes as I can per semester; I have no time for lollygagging.

Sallie Mae can only loan me so much, and banks nowadays make it very difficult to borrow from for school. All the scholarships I’ve looked for require either citizenship or full time enrollment, neither of which I am. (Can’t enroll full time because I need to work full-time to make ends meet) My father is a construction worker and I don’t know my mom, she left us when I was 7. I just sold my laptop on eBay and made myself a cheap one from recycled parts. I've tried getting internships, but I'm not deep enough into my career to be eligible yet. Nearby family members don’t have any spare cash, and don’t make enough to co-sign a loan for me….So I’m here, hoping some kind strangers can help me out.

I am a hard working student, good Samaritan, bilingual, a jokester, drug-free, do calculus in my head, pay taxes, 740 credit score, and drive a broken down Pontiac. My only goal right now is to finish school with flying colors as soon as possible; just need this financial roadblock to meet a wrecking ball.

Will you help me smash it down?

We are tired of struggling

Posted by Tired on 2012-04-24 21:58:32

Hi there - I am 51 and my partner is 57. We have worked all our lives but lost everything, all our savings, in a small business venture 8 years ago. We both work full time and have moved to a remote part of Australia where housing is cheaper as the housing market in Australia is one of the most expensive in the world and we would like to own one before it is too late. Time is fast running out for that to ever happen, due to our ages and income levels. I am terrified of winding up in the public housing system in 8 years, living on the Government pension of approx $585 per fortnight for the both of us. We are also in debt for $22,000 and we faithfully make these repayments each month. We just need a break to buy our own, simple & cheap house, we are both hard workers but our situation long term is bleak. I am so tired of struggling and never getting anywhere and time is so quickly passing by. Any help will be greatfully appreciated. No scammers etc please.

One day at a time

Hello my name is Richard and I hurt my lower back at the gym. I was married and have 2 sons and I also had a house. Now after 4 years on Disability I am just getting by. 4 years ago I had to have a 3 level back fusion surgery, so I went into Boston to have it done and within months I knew something was wrong. So I went to PT and did what I was told after the about 9 months the Doctor said that the fusion was not healing so he had to go back in again. So this is number 2-3 level fusion surgery and when I got out of the Hospital I find out that my wife of 19 years was leaving me, so we go to court with the attorneys and get a Divorce and I lost my house and 2 sons, I had to move. At that time I had a nice house in Mass. So I just packed up what I had and moved to NH where I live now. Now as time went by my back was stilling doing no better, so I went to PT and then my Disability kicked in thank god because I had gone through my 401K by then just to keep a roof over my head and as luck would have it my back feel apart in other areas, so the Doctor said he needed to go in and fix it all now. So I had my 3-3 level back fusion in 3 years, so I went to PT were I hurt my knee and they had to do a total replacement, I asked myself when will this stop and I have thought about taking my own life. I went into some counseling and here it is 4 years later and my back has falling apart again, so I have to see the Doctor this month. It just sucks when you live in so much pain every day and people that have never hurt their backs have no Idea. So I am happy that I found this site because I cannot go out to the center of Manchester with a cup asking for any extra change. The Disability income only pays for about have my bills, just enough for a roof over my head. Then I have all the different medications that are not cheap, sometimes I fall into the Donut hole and cannot afford the medication so I ask my Doctor for any sample and he said they do not give out samples to the meds I have to take. So that is about it for me and my ex wife, well she married her boss who is a Dentist and they were having an affair for years. The other thing is I have tried to fine working from home jobs, like Data entry jobs but they all want you to pay something up front, which I never have so live goes on ONE DAY AT A TIME.

:-*( Just need a break

Please help! I basically can`t afford to live. I work 50 hours a week survive and can`t even seem to do that. I have a 2 year son which is in daycare that cost $170 a week.( Trust me when I say that the city I live in $170/week is cheap.) I`ve tried applying for government assistance but according to them I make too much money to qualify for any benefits. I just don`t understand! Because I work and don`t have 10 kids I can`t get any help? I`m struggling to put food on the table and keep the lights and water on every month. Every time I turn around it seems like another bill is past due and my bank account is empty. I would just like to catch a break :-(. I was hoping that I would catch everything up and put a little money away with my income tax return but guess what! Someone already filed under my name and ss#. Now I have to deal with identity theft and the irs! I won`t be getting any refund from the government anytime soon, if ever. My rent is coming up due again and my anxiety level has reached its max. I just need to catch a break.

I'm in trouble!!

I am a subletter in a very small, very cheap apartment. I am a month behind on rent, and now, $575 is due on Sunday. There is a grace period of a few days. If I cannot come up with the money, I will have to move out, and I have been advised to try the local homeless shelters. I am terrified.

My church has helped me with food and some other basic needs. I am pursuing a medical degree (NMW/FNP).

I pray someone can help! Any amount! I am saving every penny I earn and find, and have been earnestly and diligently looking for a new job.

Looking for a friend so I am not so alone in the world

Posted by Engel on 2012-03-25 19:58:22

I been thinking back on how I got so alone in this world. I was in a couple of abusive relationships where what few friends I had drifted away. I have always been shy so making friends hasn't always been easy for me. I had a couple close friends but they are long gone from my life now. The last couple of relationships, my boyfriend was my best friend but they weren't much of a friend or boyfriend but I stayed in both way too long because it was all I had. Both were so abusive I have no self esteem left. Then to top it off, for the past couple of years depression has caused me to eat way too much. I work part time so very little money, eat on the cheap, and without a car, I just haven't gone anywhere. I just sit at home. To tell you the truth, I am really ashamed of the way I look and people can be SO mean when you are big. About a month ago, I stepped on a scale at Publix and found I weigh 293 lbs. For the past month I have been reaccessing my life and I have already lost 23lbs. Out walking more and beginning to thaw my heart out a bit. Unfortunately with this thaw, I am finding there is so much pain, sadness, shame, and loneliness. I guess the food was covering all of that up. Today I was actually on links about depression then on to crisis and it led me to this site. I was just thinking about picking up and moving to a new area, anything to get me out of this rut. Unfortunately the weight and loneliness I will take with me anywhere I go. So I thought I would give this a try. Honesty, I am not a downer. I was always known to have a great sense of humor, was trying to learn German, and took off on adventures at the drop of a hat. I love to picnic so much, I actually spread a blanket out on the livingroom floor and have floor picnics. I loved to walk in the rain. I usta love hiking and being outside. I was a good friend too. I lost her somehow but am trying to get her back :) I know there are chat things but I am older (49) and I never chatted. I don't know much about twitter but I do get texts from Blake Shelton on twitter because I love his sense of humor (warped and a little naughty like mine)Anyway, I didn't mean for this to be a book, just reaching out to see if anyone is there...

finding a way

Posted by hopefully on 2012-03-25 10:58:13

Today, I'm not posting a beg for help. I really do not think I will get any. I'm going to post how I feel and how we're doing. Get things off my chest so I can move on with my day because I'm stressed out.

We were contacted by a new company. We are now set up to work and doing work for them. We had people loan us money and time to get things ready so we could work for them. It takes money to make money and so on.

My husband and son drive to this area for the job which is hours away. They were not given enough material for the job, so twice they had to buy material.( thank goodness for the loan) This put them way behind schedule and they could not complete the job yesterday. Now you come to the point of, do you spend $100.00 on gas and hours driving or try and find a cheap place to stay. Well we couldn't afford the place to stay nor the gas (profit margin thing),so they slept in the truck. I didn't sleep well worrying.

Today they get to the place to complete the job and the guard said to them "we really don't allow people to work here on Sunday". He lets them in anyway, they are hopeful that if they wait until noon, they won't get thrown out. Mind you this is construction work and this is a upscale neighborhood with I guess a policy against noise, construction work on Sundays.

I am thankful for the work, I wish it had gone smoother yesterday, yes, we will make a little money if they can complete this job today.

I am going to pray for the little things again today and be thankful for what we have. I have taken to talking to god a lot lately. I'm tired of talking about my problems to friends and family.

If you read this post say a prayer, I'm praying for all us. May God bless us all, Hopefully

School fees too much for single dad in Taiwan

Posted by KangChiao on 2012-03-20 03:58:15

My son has to attend a private school, as I'm working in Taiwan at the moment and there are no other schools offering English instruction. The fees are astronomical. I don't have any other options. He was in the government Chinese school (Which is cheap) but it was way too difficult for him. Homeschooling is out, because no-one is home during the day. He is happy and well cared for at the private school, but the two of us hardly have money left for food. Please help if you can,I don't need thousands, a few dollars will make all the difference. Thanks in advance.

Pay Off the Debt, Buy a White Chocolate Ski-Slope or Something

Posted by GiantMidget on 2012-03-16 17:58:01

Hi all,
Like most twenty-something's in this day and age, I have credit card debt. Oh yes. You wouldn't have guessed it. And like most twenty-something year olds, I'm working full-time slogging my guts out for the little pay that makes being a bin man look worth it. They get paid more. Trust me, I've tried. They have an entrance exam for the local council. As daft as that sounds, I'm not joking.
I got done over by my ex who decided a "system" for roulette was a sure-fire way to make money had more alcohol in his veins than blood. Ditching the sucker was the best half hour conversation I've ever had with anyone in my life.
I moved back in with the parents, wished I'd never left, seriously regretted the tattoos and trying to get on with life but with this debt hanging around my neck like a noose, its exceedingly difficult to do anything else other than worry about the swinging axe over my head.
In the long run, I want to finish my part-time university course and move out of the house - hopefully near a white chocolate ski-slope but I'm not hopeful.
If any of you kind souls wish to help, I'm looking to pay off a chunk of the debt of £10,000. I'm trying every which was possible to save money and at the moment, 80% of my wage each month goes toward getting rid of this weight on my shoulders. 20% goes on Asda Price food stuffs like baked beans, cheap bread made of brick dust and cheese (or at least it resembles cheese).

Please help, it would seriously mean the world to me.

Donations to send a family to Disney World

Posted by spyyder976 on 2012-03-15 14:58:24

I'd like to do something for someone else; I am friends with a family of 3 generations who has NEVER been on a vacation of any kind other than to the river to fish or to a movie because they are poor, have a large family, and just could never afford it. I'd like to take the patriarch, 3 of his sons, and 1 of those son's wife and 3 kids to Disney World, next year 2013, after all the new Fantasyland is done, and when they're doing the free meal plan. I need 2 packages for about $4000 each (moderate rooms with standard meal plan), or if we do it the dirt cheap room/quick meals only with no table meals or character buffets way, about $2000 each; any help is appreciated, as I am trying to pay for this MYSELF and I am on disability and staying at home every day and doing nothing and spending nothing for the next 2 years just so I can hopefully afford to pay some if not all of their trip. But I need donations to help pay for the rest of the trips. Please help! You can contact me here on facebook or by email at spyyder976@yahoo.com, please use subject line Disney World vacation donation or something so I know that it isn't junk mail because yahoo mail has a ton of junk mail! I can contact you directly and give info. on this family and prove I'm not scamming anyone, and any help, be it one penny or 1, 5, 10, 20 bucks, or even 50, 100, 500, 1000, or more is greatly appreciated! Even a penny donation will help! A dollar will help 100 times more though!:) Thank you so much for reading and considering helping me to make this family's dreams come true! If I get enough help I will add a 3rd package so some of their other siblings can go, if they can get off work and are able to. There's another son who has a wife and 2 stepkids, but he may not can get off work, and the mother also may not can get off work. The father is on disability so he will not have to schedule off days and can go anytime. There are 2 daughters, both of whom are married and one has a newborn and one just got pregnant, so they most likely won't be able to go. At most, I would need 3 packages, but at least 2 packages. We will be driving, so we'll not need air fare, just gas to get down there for a 6-8 hour drive and back each way, which we can cover if need be. I plan to go and give them the grand tour since I've been once, and I can pay for myself, and part of 1 or 2 other person's trip if I have to, but I can't afford to pay to take 8 or 9 folks to Disney World for a week to 10 days on my own. Thank you again!
