I have 4 children, two in school, my oldest son is autistic, and a set of twins. I want to Go to school for phlebotomy. I am basically raising money to go take this phlebotomy class hopefully by the fall. All I want is to do better for my family, and city colleges dont pay for certificate classes so fafsa is out for me. I have been looking for, interviewing, and applying for jobs since I got laid off in 2010, yet, to no avail have I gotten lucky. Alot of places want you to have a degree now a days and I figure if I start off small then I can acheive more for myself and my family. All I want is to do better for my family so they wont have to go through the same thing I have. I hate being on welfare and sometimes it feels like I am stuck in one place but if given the chance I know I can succeed. The class is $1700 plus books and clinical wear. any little bit helps and is appreciated.

I am desperate to get a culinary certificate. I graduated with my BS in Criminal Justice and racked up 50k in schools loans and because I am a current graduate, I no longer qualify for grants. I have just realized what my true passion in life in and it is cooking! I have a true gift and I know it is going unnoticed because I have yet to show my talents to anyone besides my family. I truly believe is using fresh, local grown ingredients with humane animal practices. I am missing out on fulfilling my dream of cooking because no restaurant out there is willing to hire someone with no kitchen experience!

I am training to be a Solicitor in the Uk and I have completed my Law degree and dealt with some case's for people who are unable to afford a Soilictor (And won).
To become a Solicitor I need to do my LPC(Legal Practice Certificate)which is £10'000. I am a single parent, and I've worked to get and pay for my degree, but can't afford the fees for the LPC. Please if you feel you can help me, I would be extremely grateful.

I am a very positive person and have always tried my best. I am a hard worker and I want to work, there aren't many jobs out there so I decided to retrain.

I have finally been able to find something that I can do well and also enjoy despite my health issues. It's been a dream of mine to not have to survive on benefits any more and to look after myself. I managed to get free training in return for voluntary work and have been given a definite offer of taking over a very small but established business when I have the necessary equipment, insurance and car. I can't start until I have have studied a short online course, £550(I need the certificate for business insurance and can't work without it), I also need some equipment, £150, and a small car, £1400. This will enable me to take charge of my own life, to work and finally feel like a worthwhile member of the community, it really would change my life in every way.

I'm happy to provide further information and keep you updated on my progress if you wish. Any amount towards any of this would be so welcome, I will be eternally grateful for any assistance.

The course costs $415 and I hope that by saving and through donations I'll be able to get on the course in the next month (hopefully not an unrealistic aim). The course will then allow me to get a job teaching English, earning a better pay than my current job and giving me experience teaching which I believe will ultimately help me with my goal of getting into college. I dropped out of school when I was 16 due to bullying and have spent the last five years working minimum wage and dreaming of getting a career. I've always wanted to be a elementary school teacher and I believe that having this certificate and teaching experience will give my college application the edge I need to get accepted. Two years ago I graduated from San Joaquin Delta College with my Graphic Design certificate & my AA. I was excited for a while & then found my true passion to design clothes & that is where I am headed. Today I am educating myself with resources online & in books and hopefully through school. I honestly don't know if this will ever find anyone who may help but I'm being optimistic despite the odds. I honestly don't know how to truly explain my situation but to say that I've just been "stuck in a rut" for, let's be honest, over a decade. I don't regret my life, for I know that I've lived it the best way I knew how & with the limited resources that I had available. I also don't regret it because my experiences have made me the person that I am today. I have done everything possible to make sure that my family is safe & healthy. Ultimately, they come first! However all I can say is that I've just been wrapped up in so many unfortunate circumstances that have had many factors that were out of my control, that basically one can conclude that I'm just NOT a lucky person!

Here's some history: Basically when I started college my family lost our home due to my mother's gambling problem. This lead to my father's infidelity which ultimately lead to their divorce (which both my parents made me decide if they were to separate or not). Several months later I found myself pregnant & kicked out of both my parents apartments. During that time I still tried to keep things together by working as many shifts as I could & by going to school during the day. It was hard because I was like a nomad, moving from one friend's house to another. At times I even slept in my car. But then there came a point where my pregnancy became too complicated and I ended up living in the hospital for 2 months before my child was born at 7.5 months. Due to his pre-maturity and the many complications that ensued I decided devoted my life to taking care of him. It worked to some point, where I was able to drop my 3 jobs and obtained a stable one. I was also able to obtain a certificate from university. However, when my father died. I felt the obligation to take on the responsibility of honoring his last wishes. In a sense it aided me to find a type of closure yet in another way it had opened Pandora's box. It was not easy grieving and dealing with my father's side of the family, my mother's side & to add more, my father's girlfriend's side. The funeral, the back taxes owed by my father, my husband loosing his job & my son constantly getting sick... All expenses were on me. To add more "injury" within the span of 9 months I was in a total car wreck, I gave birth to my second child & then I was in a horseback riding accident, that almost paralyzed me. Honestly, what are the chances of going horseback riding for the first time, loosing control & getting thrown off?!

I've really tried my best to deal with things one day at a time & also do it with a smile. But now I find myself dealing with arthritis, kidney problems, crazy medical fees, no job (since the company closed), and bills now reaching almost $60,000. Even as I look at that number now, I honestly feel a sense of nausea...

The only thing I do know is that, I still have a lot in me to give and I've tried, despite it all, to give it back by going back to school to become a licensed nursing practitioner. It may sound crazy & it comes at a very inopportune time (considering that I'm drowning in debt!) but by doing this course, it helps me in so many ways. It calms me... It gives me a sense of purpose, knowing that I may alleviate a person's pain, even in the slightest, which in turn somewhat alleviates mine as well. It also gives me confidence knowing that all the teachers that I have encountered during this course say that they believe in me, in my determination & in my will power to survive & conquer.

So ultimately, I'm asking you this... For your help, to help me help others. Even if you could spare $1.00. One small step, is still a step forward for me. And like I said in the title, despite all the things that I've gone through, I'm still optimistic & I still have a little fight left in me. So please help me fight!

I've not been the best when it comes to finance though I rarely buy anything extravagant, I don't entirely understand it. I've just made lots of bad decisions and I'd love a chance to start afresh without letting my parents know how much debt I've racked up as I know they will never trust me again if they do and we already don't have the best relationship.
My main dilemma started about 2 years ago when I was in my last semester in college and I did not pay for my tuition that semester. I have not received my degree as a result and charges have been added to what I owed since then and finally my University sent the debt to the state's revenue department for collection and they've added their own fees. Things have really come to a head now because I am actually an international student and after spending the past couple years in mostly unpaid internships because I have no certificate to show employers and being unable to work other jobs that do not require a degree because it's illegal with my status, my visa has expired and I have to leave the country in a couple weeks and I don't have the degree I came to the US to get.
With the little payments I've been able to make subtracted, I now owe $11633. I know that that is a great deal of money especially as I've racked up other debts that takes the money I'll need to truly get out of all trouble to about $15000. But I really have nothing at all right now and any amount of money at all will help, $5, $100, anything.
And though I know paying back $15000 will take years for me to do if anyone has that to spare, I would want to do that for my own peace of mind. But it's obvious that anyone willing to lend me that with no security and just my intention to finally get out of this rut, get a good job and pay back over a period that will hopefully not exceed 5 years will probably be someone who can comfortably give away that amount but respects my need to eventually pay it all back through paypal probably from another part of the world.
I know I am completely to blame for all the stress in my life today and this is no sob story but my problems are very real and you will be bringing great relief to someone in trouble who has not been able to think about anything else for a long time. Thank you.

I had 13yrs with the Major utility in NJ. Was laid-off. My Wife then left me because of it, and took our two girls (6&9yrs old). Then she couldn't cope any more, and took her own life. Now it's me and my Girls, and my Unemployment ran out. I get Foodstamps, and that's all they will give, because of Survivor Benefits from SS. What we get from it covers the rent, and that's it. It's actually a little short every month. I am afraid I will lose them, and I am all they have now. I have to leave the room when they ask me for money for a Bookfair at school and I don't have it, cause I will break down. I have to be strong for them, they have been thru enough already. It's just hard, and they deserve better. Any little thing will help, until I find a job. Any job, I don't care at this point. I just don't want to lose them. I have everything to prove what I have said (Death Certificate) I just don't know where to turn.

last night while he was in town, he was told his house was on fire, he rushed home hurried to grab the
garden hose to save what he could, only he fell and had to go to the hospital where he fractured
several ribs and tore something in his for arm,which is wrapped and in a sling.
today he can hardly move for the pain.
he lost 4 kittens and the mama cat, every photo he had of his kids and so much more.
unfortunatley he didnt have insurance on the house.

he has a 19 yr old son living with him.

the fire dept probably did as much damage as the fire. they didnt try to seal the section off and work
on it, they soaked everything , every room.. so much that the ceiling fell in.
no one has contacted him most of the day, no one offered to really help these people..

i came home, got on the phone and called the red cross in albemarle nc, the lady said we cant do anything
till we hear from the fire marshall,
so we tried to call the fire marshal.. this was like 2 pm today..(friday) no answer left a message, it is now 11:30 at night.
.still no reply back.
someone did tell us he wouldn't contact them till he finished his investigation, that could be days,
called a church here, they said yes we help but we go through stanly county christian ministries call them.. so i called them
they said well, he needs to bring something showing his house burnt..i said lady its not as if they give to a certificate to hand out
when your house catches on fire.. i can give you the norwood police number, or the fire marshal to verify it..
around 5-6 red cross call's my friend.. tells him they are going to put he and his son up in a hotel in albemarle for the weekend.
. and he never heard back from them.. its now 11: 30 at night. i called the hotel they said red cross did call, but they didn't
send the paper work or call back.
thank god for the one friend he does have who is letting them stay at his house tonight, and giving them a hot shower,
and a place to rest. if left to the red cross i guess they would be sleeping in the yard.

this is crazy.. his house is totaled from one end to the other, nothing is untouched by smut and water,
no power, no clothes..not even a pair of socks.
charities are so eager to take your money, .but it seems to take an act of congress to get help if your the victim,
this is a good guy, he has volunteered his time endless times, days on end at the community table to feed people just
down the road. he'd help anybody he could,and has a wonderful son.

things they could really use,
clothes,
if there is anyone who might work in construction that has left over wood 2x4's, 2x6's
plywood, sheet rock, flooring,
anything it doesn't even matter if its scrap.
if anyone has some gently used furniture, beds, blankets.

In these hard times, you need more than just life experience to get ahead or even stay afloat. My problem began when I was working full-time at a non-profit agency. I enrolled in a university to finally get a degree and an opportunity for advancement. This of course seems like a good idea, but it didn't turn out that way.

Because I was working full-time I didn't qualify for financial aid so I relied on student loans. After just a single semester and despite getting excellent grades I realized I was getting in over my head financially and would not be able to afford this degree. At that point I was forced to quit my educational pursuit. I knew right away that loans weren't the way to go but without any savings it was the only choice and the advisor really didn't leave me feeling like I had any other options. I made a mistake by accepting the loans and I have been paying for it since then. Er...actually I haven't because I defaulted. Now I owe $4464.50 and climbing every day due to interest. I feel like a terrible failure for allowing this to happen, but I haven't given up.

I know at this stage of my life that a degree is not likely until or unless I can save some money and now working odd jobs and with costs climbing that just isn't possible. Since making this terrible mistake several years ago I found something I excel at which could help me earn a living, and I feel strongly that I can get accepted into the accredited program. The problem is that program costs $2500.00 which I do not have. It also requires a month-long stay in a major city which will cost roughly $900 and a plane ticket which I can surely save for if I should acquire the other funds.

All together I need roughly $8,000.00 to pay off my loan debt and obtain a Cambridge CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) which would set me up to continue teaching English with credentials students can trust.

I take full responsibility for getting myself into this mess but that's not enough. I have to pay it back in order to fix my credit and start again. I am determined to succeed at the very demanding CELTA course and I will use the knowledge gained to help others succeed as well.

Hello I want to be self-employed by having a small business I want to have own webpage to sell small items like shoes, bags, tshirts. But I have no valid ID, tax certificate and any papers, job hunting was hard for me, Iam HIghschool graduate, and want to have self-business pls help me to do this.

I don't know how to do this properly, but I will be honest.

My husband's teeth are really bad, he had his jaw broken 10 years ago and has since lost all of his top teeth and his bottoms are all broken. He has an infection in his jaw that could go to his heart but we can't afford to get his bottom teeth pulled. He is currently 20+ lbs underweight and malnourished. He also has a mass in his bladder that we can't afford to have biopsied, even though he has a referral.

We have no income because he is unable to work and I am disabled but still fighting Social Security for any assistance, with little success.

Neither of us use drugs or alcohol, though we do have a few friends that will smoke marijuana with us occasionally.

I try to donate plasma as often as I am able, but I have to go on days that my disability isn't apparent to them, so they don't ban me, as I, technically, can't afford the loss of white blood cells.

We have sold everything of value in our home and at this point we will be losing electric and internet on Wed, Sept 14th, 2011. My daughter is 18 but can't get a job due to the fact that we cannot afford the $10 to get a copy of her original birth certificate, so she cannot get an i.d.

We have no vehicle and take a rolling suitcase to the grocery when our foodstamps come, but due to bus fare, this is becoming increasingly difficult.

There are a lot of things that I, personally, need and go without, but I am genuinely most concerned with my husband and I growing old together, which won't happen if his health continues to decline. He is 39, I am 36, we have been together 16 years.

I don't know if this rant will do any good, but for the love of all that is holy, I hope someone, somewhere, sees it and feels compelled to investigate the reality of our situation.

I hate doing this, but here goes. I am a recovering drug addict. I have not used any drugs since March 2003. I was a Registered Nurse in California and lost my license due to my addiction. I was arrested in March of 2003 for possession. I was required to go to out patient counseling for drug addiction by my county of residence. This counseling I believe saved my life. I looked for any job and after months of searching, I landed a job working with Buck Owens Enterprises delivering Camera Ads Magazine to local businesses around my area. Quite a change from being an Emergency Room R.N. As you can imagine my income dropped dramatically. After losing my license and thus my livelihood, I needed a new career. I decided to go to school. Aided by The California Department of Rehabilitation, I went to California State University, Bakersfield and earned a certificate in Drug and Alcohol Studies. Soon I started working in the California Prison System as a Substance Abuse Counselor. That was in 2008. I continue to work in this capacity.

A few years prior to my arrest I began working for myself as a contract R.N. And, because I was very heavy into my addiction, I was not taking care of my business responsibilities and not paying my taxes as I should. Now the State of California has attached my wages for back taxes of $4900.00 and the IRS is wanting back taxes of about $21,000.00.

I love my new work as a Substance Abuse Counselor and feel I am making a difference in turning prisoners lives around. I want to reapply for my R.N. license and use it in conjunction with my Counseling for co-occurring disorders,(mental illness with drug addiction). I am sure the California State Board of Registered Nursing would not look well on my owing back taxes.

I am almost 56 years old now and see no hope of paying these back taxes anytime soon. For this reason I am asking help. I need approximately $25,000.00 to pay off all back taxes and follow my dream. I am respectfully asking for help in this matter. And thank you for taking the time to read my story.

My husband is on unemployment and rent is coming due. Had to renew the unemployment and went without a check for about a month. Now I'm behind yet again I need about $200 to pay rent and get all caught up. Anything will help, I am currently going to school and still owe them over $4,000 before I can get my certificate and start working in the "real" world and not for free.

I am middle aged & never thought I would be in this situation. My unemployment expired last year & I've struggled to maintain some semblance of a normal life. I've streamlined every aspect of my life & returned to school by taking out loans to get a paralegal certificate. It was difficult but I managed to get a 3.7 GPA at UMASS. I can't get financial aid in the summer & I'd like to take one course to get me closer to my goal. I still use dial up on my pc because I can't afford broadband. I am 2 months behind on my phone bill as well as my rent. I buy minimal groceries & have paid off 3 credit cards from my unemployment. I am trying & had an interview last week but it is very difficult with age discrimination to find work. All I need is ONE job and I will dig myself out of this whole but I can't get a break. The course would cost $1080 which includes rgistration fee. I hate doing this more than I can express but I've found over the last few years that there are many things I never thought I would do & now find that I must if I want to survive this never ending crisis.

It's all I need. I've been unemployed for a while now and unable to find work. The unemployment rate in my state has remained at 10 percent and above for a very long time. I lost my home and was homeless for a little while. I know have a place to stay, but during my time in shelters and on the streets, I lost my identification. I just need $73 to cover the expense of ordering a new birth certificate and getting a new ID made. Without these documents, I'm no one. I can't apply for work, I can't apply for assistance, I can't do anything. Please help.

All I want is a chance to prove myself.I live in Anaheim CA.I have extensive experience doing things like 711,Wal-Mart,Pizza Hut,etc.
Unfortunately I was out of work for 2 years because my ID expired when I moved to a new state.It took me 2 years to get my birth certificate from California.Now I have moved back and been trying nonstop for the first 4 months of the year!
It's May now and though I have been on a few interviews there is still no job in sight.
I have several limitations which make it hard to find work:
1.I don't drive.I CAN but since I have no license or car I can't do any job that requires either.
2.I can't speak Spanish.Many of the service industry jobs I used to do,I won't be considered for because I am no bilingual.
