Please Help Keep The American Dream

Posted by TexasPike on 2012-03-25 16:58:43

Hello,

Recently, I quit my job and started up my own eBay business. It had been a dream all my life, to own my own business. I started just a few months ago, and everything was going flawless. I have a great supplier, great products, and great customer service, etc. While we were new on eBay, they had set limits on how much we could sell and Paypal put 21-day holds on all our funds, till the customers received their items. It was just recently, that we turned into eBay Powersellers and received the status of "Top Rated Sellers".

Everything was going just perfect, up until recently. My mother-in-law needs a LOT of teeth work done. So, I decided I would list my cherished Jimi Hendrix poster online, to raise funds for her teeth work, because my business was new and not to the point of affording $5000 teeth work. I put it up for a 10-day auction and everything was going just fine. About halfway thru my auction, it was generating bids and lots of interest!

Then, the bottom fell out..... A gentleman from California was interested in our poster, and stated that he would like to purchase it. He said if we took the listing down, he would send us $3500. We agreed and took it down. He paid us within 10 minutes! We thought we had hit the jackpot. Not only was my business taking off, now I could afford my mother-in-laws teeth work! The very next day, I put his poster in the mail and we went to pay the down payment at the dentist and a few other bills off. Everything was looking good. Later that night, I received an email from Paypal, that the buyer had put a claim in! He stated that it was not as described, even though he had not even received it yet! It was still in route, thru the postal service. He had buyers remorse and Paypal froze my funds up.

No big deal, I am an eBay Powerseller, I should be able to make the funds really fast, right? No. When a customer buys something from us, we use their money they just paid us, to purchase their part and have it shipped to them. If my Paypal account is frozen and in the red for $3000, I am not able to sell anything or ship anything off!

Now, Paypal has paid the customer back and I am just sitting here trying to figure out what to do next. My dream I had started and finally got off the ground, is now ruined. I worked 20 hour days to get this off the ground, and now feel like a failure. I cannot do anything until the money is paid back. I have no way of doing anything.

I quit my job to do this and we are now struggling. It actually makes me sick, knowing I tried so hard to get to the Powerseller level, to have it all ruined because a customer wanted his money back on an item I had a "No Refund Policy" on. Paypal ruled in his favor without even talking to me.

My Paypal balance is a -$2741.79. I really need help getting it back to ZERO. Please consider a donation for a guy that is really trying to do something with his life. I am a 40 year old male and have been a failure all my life and now I have something that is working, and just when my family started noticing, my hopes were all dashed again. Failure surrounds me.

I could really use any help you can give at this time. I am a "Pay It Forward" type of guy myself. If I am helped out of this mess, I will Pay It Forward in the near future, to a charity in the same amount.

Thanks for your time,
Cody

Hi I am a father that is currently unemployed and have been struggling to stay afloat for the last few months. I make a few dollars here and there but it is not nearly enough to help me get back on track. Over the last year I have taught myself Internet Marketing. The thing is its simple but not easy to do. The one thing that I have learned that it takes money to make more money when you try to start your own business. In this post I have placed a link to a selfhelp product that I get paid a commission for if anyone buys from my link. I am asking that anyone who has a Facebook or twitter account use the facebook like and twitter post buttons to help get eyes on my referral link. Thats all all need, your word of mouth help is all the donation I need. Thanks and God bless you all. Have a Great Day!

Financial help for this hard working family

Posted by kworsham74 on 2012-01-25 10:58:23

My husband and I live on a small family farm with our 2 lovely girls. We not only run the farm, but we both work full-time outside the home. We have been through a lot in our 9 yrs of marriage. Here is a short version of what we have gone through since 2003. When we got married my husband found out he had cancer. He lost his job because of it and we had to move in with family for 6 months till we found a home. Later on, I lost my job and we had to move in with other family members till we found another home. We family were able to put a home on the family farm that we run and we have been there for 7 yrs now. An uncle was about to lose his home, so we helped him out. Now we are very financially strapped. It seems when things are going well, BAM! We get slapped down. With all our misfortunes we have cleared out our savings and paying off our credit cards (which are cut up) and medical bills. We have also put a hold on having anymore kids because we just can't afford it. We would love at least 1 more, but right now that is impossible. My husband really deserves the help because he works so hard for all that he has gone through. Last winter he was helping family and friends out so much that he got pneumonia and almost had to be hospitalized. We don't live a life of luxury and never really take vacations. All our money goes to bills and food. I have been collecting cans to help pay for groceries, I use coupons and all our change goes into a jar. I have also sold some of my Breyer horse collection and coin collection to pay some bills. I was going to donate my eggs for some money, but I am over 30 yrs old so I can't. We are not on any kind of assistance so everything we pay for comes out of our pocket. It breaks my heart to hear our girls talk about their friends going to these fun places like The Great Wolf Lodge and the beach for the weekend because I know we can't afford it. My husband gets after me because all the gift cards that I get for the holidays I save and buys presents for the girls on their birthdays. Sometimes it's the only way to get them things. Our debt is almost $10,000 and every month I do try to pay extra on at least one. I can hardly sleep because I am so worried about our finances and I have become depressed because of it. My goal is to get out of this debt, give the girls some great family memories and hopefully have 1 more child. This "beg" is mainly for my husband and child becuase they deserve the best! Donations of any kind would be appreciated. Thank you so much and God Bless.

I am in a desperate need of money to pay my University fees. I am reading a
BA (Hons)

without a sponsor, I am finding it very very difficult. I am able to work 20
hours a week which buys me food and pays for my small room accommodation.
If I am not able to settle my fees of £4000.00 very soon, I will be forced
to withdraw and I do not want this to happen to me. I need help. God will
richly reward
all donors and God bless you.

If it is not possible to donate, you could simply help me to fill in some offers below which I will get paid when someone completes.

HELP ME CLEAR MY FEET WITHOUT EVEN A DONATION

Posted by brokhelp on 2011-12-11 08:58:35

I am really struggling to make ends meat right now. I had £10,000 of Credit Card debt run up just paying bills and a few years of stupidity spending beyond my means.I have been slowly getting myself back on my feet. I have managed to get this debt down to £4600 as of 4th Dec 2012 by living on the bread line but I am really struggling to keep a roof over my head. I work full time and overtime to get by and really must remove this debt from my head to allow me to restart my life. I have fell upon some extremely difficult financial times from being stupid. Nothing more nothing less and its a life lesson learned. I am not one to EVER ask for help but I guess there is a first for everything.

I have come up with an idea that means you don`t have to donate to me to actually donate to me. How you may ask ? By using the auction site ebay. Everyone at one point of another buys from this site. Below is a link that if you copy and paste it in your browser will mean that if you buy something or anything from ebay I would receive a tiny percent of their profits via a cash back scheme. Its only pennies but every little will go a long way.

Its not much but its a start. Millions of people worldwide are using this site and if a few people used this link before purchase it would track the purchase and the percentage ebay take for their fees would give me a little cut and in no way affect your purchase. Please please if using ebay give this link a copy and paste and through time may an internet giant clear my feet. As soon as everything is paid off I will remove this link.

If this seems like too much effort a small donation would certainly help.

Below is the link, please copy and paste whole thing to your address bar and it will link purchase to my cashback. Please help and tell a friend who uses ebay. Anything at this time is worth a shot :(

www.topcashback.co.uk/redirect.aspx?mpurl=ebay&instant=False&url=http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-53481-19255-0/1?customid=313871&type=1&campid=5335816978&toolid=10001

or try clicking the blue text below.

If you so wish to use this site yourself you can also sign up at http://www.topcashback.co.uk/ref/bangeruk and I would get a little fee for introducing you.

Thank you all for your help

Please help our son

Posted by beroc on 2011-10-30 20:58:02

My son was home schooled on his last year in high school. He applied to the University of Alaska and was accepted and also was granted financial aid. Being a home school grad, he was required to take a test or GED. He opted to take the test so I agreed to send him to Alaska but he failed it by 2 points. Then he decided to take the GED and attend class Spring 2012. One day when he dropped his friends at school, he was stopped by a policeman (i don't know what for) and then was taken to the police station and detained for questioning for at least 8 hours. He asked to speak to a lawyer 2x but no lawyer was provided and they stopped talking to him. While detained, the police searched his apartment, truck, took his laptop, and cell phone. His apartment and his truck did not have any of the items they were looking for. They released him and 20 minutes later they arrested him. The only evidence the police have so far is that one of defendants also being accused of the same crime stated that my son was involved. This other defendant, come to find out has a record of stealing. My son insist that he did not do this crime and he is innocent and that he was not even in the area when the crime happened. He has an attorney now and has taken a look at my sons’ case. So far the DA has a photo of his truck at a gas station near his apartment at 6 P.M. This is not unusual since this is where buys his diesel fuel. The crime happened between 10-45-11:00 P.M. after the store closed. This is all the evidence so far. I am writing to beg you for a donation to bail out my son until his court date. We are asking donation for the following: his bail is $40,000 which we need $4000 cash and we are putting up our house as collateral for the remaining $30,000. The lawyer fee is $7500 and our balance is $2400. In addition to the bail, court also requires a third party custodian before an inmate can be released on bail. A custodian is someone who will watch over my son 24/7. My husband, daughter and I will be his third party custodians and we will fly to Alaska and set up another household. We need the 3 of us to be custodians because we also have another son who is a senior in high school and we the parents both want to attend his graduation. When we get there, we will go to my sons bond hearing and also for approval of third party custodian. My husband and I will alternate every 30 days so we can see both our sons. When my youngest son graduates, my daughter will be the custodian while we attend the graduation. We also need approximately $3500 for living expense until I get my first check from work. I have secured employment in Alaska and my son will also look for and secure employment. He has been in jail since Sept 20,2011 and we want to bail him out on Nov. 4, 2011. Total donation we are asking for $9900.00. s Can you find it in your heart to donate money to help us?

Free the Fat

Please help me with donations to get away from my husband. For over 6 years now I have suffered and not been able to get away due to being morbid obese. He has two other women who live in our place, both who are his sexual girlfriends. I stay in my room all the time unless to go to the bathroom due to a fear of being around people. I have tried saving up money and selling what few items he has allowed me to have but he always takes the money and buys himself and his girlfriends things. He is denying me to have bank account of my own but with this hidden paypal account I can still save money to save up to get my own place once I get some help from doctors I am to see, or so I hope. I'm scared to live here, I know he wants me dead, he has even tried to talk me into killing my self once. I can hardly get around and I'm scared of the world but I don't want to be here anymore.

The Grasshopper and the Ant
A Classic retold by Joseph the Beggar King
Part One

Once upon a time, not so very long ago, there were two friends, the Grasshopper and the Ant. Why these two became friends is a bit of a mystery. The Grasshopper was a dreamer and a drifter. The Ant was a believer and an achiever.

In school the Grasshopper would look out the window without thought and only learned the subjects he found interesting. Sometimes he would fall asleep in Math class, other times when a angry teacher would jump him with a pop question he would give the correct answer in way that would confound them.

The Ant was a teachers dream, he soaked up every subject the system taught him, gave the correct answers in the correct way and got straight A s. He would delight his Math teacher by doing compound interest in his head. The Ant believed that what they taught him would help him succeed and was very completive. After graduating High School the Ant got an Academic Scholarship and the Grasshopper got a Pell Grant.

Within four years the Ant got two BS degrees in Business Management and Engineering. The Grasshopper dropped out after the first year. He went to live with the Rainbow Tribe for a few years. On the way to the bus station he found an old fiddle in a trash pile along the road and when he got station he was able to panhandle his bus fare. That was the Grasshoppers first beg.

The Ant took the College like a fish to water. During open Rush some Greeks invite him to be a brother in their Fraternity. He earned his dues by being the Frat Houses Accountant and made beer money by writing term papers. One day while visiting the Tri Deltas he watches the girls play volleyball and is amazed that even though they are playing a vigorous game not one of them breaks a sweat. It is there he meets the girl of his dreams, Polly Fishbane.

While the Grasshopper was living with the Rainbow Tribe he never meets the girl of his dreams, but it does not really matter too much because they believe in Free Love. So free, in fact, that after what you might call the Honeymoon he found himself getting a little bored with it. From the Rainbow Tribe he learns to live off the fat of country and from his new friend, Buffalo with Runs, he learns to live off the land. Buffalo with Runs was an very old Indian that was adopted by the tribe. He taught the Grasshopper what wild plants were safe to eat or use for medicines. He showed him how to set traps and hunt small game. Then, during one winter Gathering four people froze to dead because they were too stoned to come in out of the cold. The Grasshopper became very sad and hopped away.

The Ant is recruited by a Aerospace firm even before he graduated college and goes to work on the Apollo Program. He and his new wife Polly loved the Florida sunshine and settle down to start the American Dream. They decide to have two and half children. Even though the third kid looked a bit odd the Ant loved him as only a father can. With easy money down and mortgage tax deductions compliments of Uncle Sam, they get a house with a two car garage. Next they get two cars and the Rat Race is on. The Ant loves it! Working on the Apollo Program is more than a job, it is being part of history. Polly loves it! Raising their kids and Keeping up of with the Jones. She starts selling Avon products on the side. The Ant buys the best bass boat in the neighborhood, but only uses it once a year because he too busy working. He sets up his retirement funds and a small stock portfolio. Life is Good!

After leaving the Rainbow Tribe the Grasshopper panhandles his way across the country. He sets up in parks and subways where he pretends to play his fiddle while selling jewelry made of deer anthers and beads. The noise he makes with his fiddle sounds like a cat being killed and people give him money just to make him stop. Before the Cops run him off, the Grasshopper usually made enough in one day of begging to cover his needs for the week. When he is hungry he goes to a Soup Kitchen and when he needs clothing there are the Sharing Centers. Every now and then he lets some good hearted woman try to save him. Life is Good and he hops away.

The Apollo Program ends and the new Shuttle program does not start for a couple of years. The Aerospace company were the Ant works at does not win any of the new bids. They offer him a job in California at 20% less of his salary. Polly and the kids are in a rage. Nobody wants to move and leave their friends. The Ant sells his house at a loss because the real estate market in flooded by the laid offs. The one car and the boat are reprocessed. He sells off his stock portfolio for the down payment on the new house in California and even though money is tight the Ant decides to take the family on a short vacation to Key West to uplift their spirits. He finds the Grasshopper selling deer antler jewelry at the Front Street Market. While Polly and the kids go shopping, he and Grasshopper catch up and have a couple of beers. The Ant tells his friend about the laid offs and the move. The Grasshopper asks him - Are you Happy - ? The Ant says - Yes -. His friend says, - Good - . They watch the sunset and see a green flash on the horizon.
To be continue.

Want to get married, but can't even afford groceries

Posted by MsMercyBrown on 2011-04-26 14:58:17

My name is Megan and I am 25 years old. I have a college degree, and I have a job. I live with my cat and soon-to-be husband in a 3-room apartment.

We are planning to get married in the fall, but if things keep up they way they have been, we will have to call it off, because we will not be able to afford a dress, or a suit, or rings, or even the wedding licence. We both make just enough not to be eligible for welfare, but we are barely living paycheck to paycheck. We are both employed full-time, but the bills just seem to keep getting bigger. neither of us can afford health insurance. I make credit card payments that get eaten away by finance charges, and he has to spend money just to keep his car from dying on him.

There are a few bills that I knew if I could pay off, we would be so much better, and I would be able to pay for the wedding myself. Unfortunately, the lowest one is $3000.

I am asking for help because I do not know what else to do. We cannot give blood or plasma, and I make jewelry to sell for extra money but no one ever buys it. Please help us if you can; Every penny counts.

School Supplies - Robotics

Hello, I need to purchase my 11 year old son A robotics kit for school. He is in the schools RoboLab program. The school normally buys the kits and sells them at discount to the kids. Due to the cuts in the budget the program is not being funded any more by the district and is now a "parent funded program" with the exception of in class materials and teacher. The kids that wish to compete outside of school need there own kit. So, there you have it. I need to buy the boy his kit. Kits are 425.90 from lego education. I am a hard working mom who pays my bills and provides for my son. I just don't have alot for extras and this is an extra ... If you could help i would greatly appreciate it and so would my son.
