Groceries/ gas card

Hello
I have never asked for help before. I have worked all my life and am still working a full time job and looking for a second job. I got divorced last year and pretty much walked away from the home we owned together ( it was worth it) I now live in a small apt that is my sanctuary. I have to commute around 50 miles each way to work and buying gas and groceries in the same week is not possible. My story isn't any different than anyone elses. I don't have a sad sob story, I am just a regular person who is asking for a hand up not a hand out.Any spare money I have left after paying bills (not much and most times nothing) is going towards a plane ticket or gas money from Boston to Ft Jackson so I can watch my son graduate from boot camp in August)
I woud be willing to repay when I can and am more than willing to pay it forward. PLEASE no scams. Life is hard enough without them
Thank you for reading this.

Hello,
I am disabled due to a neurological condition and unable to work since March of 2011. I have drained my bank account paying medical bills.
My son is graduating from Army boot camp in March. I need financial help to get there. He will be deployed immediately after graduation. I need to travel about 800 miles from Northern Ohio to Fort Benning, GA and return trip home. My son's goal is to be an airborne ranger and I am very proud of him for unselfishly serving his country! Thank you for any help you can donate. I am very greatful and very much appreciative.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. I've never done anything like this before, so I am just going to speak from the heart. I am a 23 year old, gay, white male. I grew up on Disney. I believe that anything is possible, if you believe it to be. I have always tried to be a source of inspiration and strength for my friends. But my life keeps taking very negative turns.
My friends know a lot about the "adventures" I have been through in my life, but not all of it. They know that I have been homeless before, but they all assumed that I was staying at a different friend's house every night. They didn't know that I was sleeping in an abandoned apartment, a bus stop, a laundromat, and even under a bridge at one point. Being homeless is nothing new for me, but I am trying very hard to get back on my feet and take control of my life.
In an attempt to find a relationship and a home, I moved across the country to be (quite literally) a live-in sex slave for a couple whom I met on the internet. It seemed to go well for a short while, but they don't realize that they don't really want a third in their relationship. I have been the target of emotional and mental abuse for the past 6 months.
In November, I had a major operation on my ankle. I broke my ankle in 2006, and last year it began to deteriorate. Because of my ankle, I can't work a regular (read physical) job at this time. I have been searching for something I can do, even though I am not cleared for work yet. I am doing everything I can do, but the people I have been living with have decided I have to leave. I am doing everything I can to get together enough money to get back across half of the country to stay with some friends.
I don't have any money for food. The northern winter is killing me, as my clothes aren't really built for this weather. I still owe for the walking boot, cane, walker, and other equipment that I need for my physical recovery. I have to find a way to get somewhere where I'll be safe.
Everything that I have learned from Disney tells me to push forward and try to stay positive. I have done everything for my friends and family but they can't or won't help me now. I am asking for help, because I need to do whatever I can do to make sure that I will survive this winter. Thank you for your consideration. I appreciate any help I can get.

HELP!!! MY BABY GIRL IS GRADUATING BOOT CAMP NEED HELP TO GET TO TEXAS
Posted by lillamom on 2011-11-11 12:58:53
Hello, my name is Lisa, and My baby girl who did a year at Western Washington State Univ. enlisted in the airforce... She explained so rationally to me that she Knew there was no way I could pay for three more years of college, not after whe came down with spinal meningitis the year before, leaving me with a unbelievably healthy, 100 % perfectly healthy daughter after 10 days in a coma, at cottage hosp. and a bill thats bigger than national debt.. and right after losing the house, and other horrible events... so she enlisted and that way her college would be completely paid for.. I am so proud of Her....
Well she is graduating boot camp on Thanksgiving day...in Texas.... and from there she will be going to Turkey... for three years.... As mom it's killing me... i miss her so much but am so proud and excited for her... my only wish, and her wish, is for me and her sister to be there...in Texas... I dont have the heart to tell her I cant afford it...
So If there is any way that any one can help us with this journey...and a thanksgiving to be eternally thankful for... you will never know how much it will mean to all of us... anything will help...Just getting us from paso to texas, on gas, food, and somewhere to sleep is more than I can comprehend at this time...
Im so Very urgently begging for any kind of help...and wish everyone reading this a wonderful, blessing filled thanksgiving from my family to yours.... love, Lisa

My first ask is for myself... My name is Josh and i recently moved to kansas. The reason I'm asking for money is because my car, a 1999 Toyota Corolla, has a door with a MONSTROUS dent in the door, no door handle, and no driver side window to boot. With winter iminent and temperatures reaching below 12 degrees I will have no protection from the winter elements. That is if the car even makes it that long. It is starting to run terribly and has 245,000 miles on it. Anything will help.
The second reason is for donations for the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. My family is living up there working as missionaries to try and help the Lakota people help themselves through way of our Lord Christ. They are in need of monetary dontaions for the church vans in order to pick the children up every suday for church. And also for toys so the children can have an enjoyable Christmas! If you have any questions feel free to contact me and I will be glad to answer them for you.
Please specify where your donation shall be recieved so I can make sure it is properly distributed. Thank you and God Bless!

I am a workaholic who can no longer work due to my wife's disabilities. We have two boys and live in a two bedroom apartment with 11 years of memories. My wife has recently found out that she has COPD and Emphysema. She went to the doctor two days ago and they found a growth on her heart. On top of all of this she has been wearing a medical boot for two years due to a break and the onset of Mersa in her bone marrow which will not allow sugery for the fear of the Mersa spreading to her heart and lungs.
The doctors have told us that she has two to three years to live. She will leave behind our two boys Cody 10 and Logan 9.
We are at the end of our resourses and only have an income of $620.OO per month in which our rent is 650. We will have our electric shut off as of 5/20/2011 and then we will be getting evicted because I can not work. I am perfectly capable and willing to work except for the fact that if I do, my wife will lose all of her medical assistance and there is no possible way I can afford the expense. For the last year now I have been my wifes caretaker and take care of our house and the children. I have been doing the best I can until now. We stand to lose everything and become homeless and have no idea what to do about it . My wife is on a CPAP at night and can't sleep or breathe without it as well as the fact that she can only walk for 5 to 10 minutes at a time.
She has been waiting two years for SSI and is told she will have a hearing in the next 11 months. We really need help to pay rent and electric in order to exsist. any amount would help at this point. I am not the type to beg but I must at this point plee for the help we so need. I just want my wife to be comfortable for the last few years she has left.
Thank you for your attention any assistance would be helpful.

Need help to change careers
Posted by PamelaLois on 2011-05-03 00:58:57
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I'm a 48 year old woman who has worked as a dog and cat groomer for 25 years. Unfortunately, this has taken a toll on my body, causing carpal tunnel syndrome and tendonitis in my arms. Soon I will no longer be able to do the job I love. Grooming has been rewarding personally, but not financially. I need to change careers, and would like to get involved in sleep medicine and polysomnography. The A-STEP Boot Camp program costs about $3000, and I cannot afford this. I would appreciate any help so I can change careers.
~PLEASE help me see my Marine husband!!~
Posted by stargazrkat87 on 2011-03-28 22:58:52
My husband recently graduated from boot camp and became a Marine. I was able to spend a week with him and we got married during that week (it was a small wedding by the Justice of the Peace, to ensure we get stationed together when he's done schooling). I have only seen him one week out of our marriage so far, and his schooling was just bumped back and won't begin for a while. He doesn't have a date yet on when it will start. It is very possible I won't see him until October, because he's being told it is very possible that he won't even start school until the end of August. He's not allowed to leave base or come home, nor can he afford it. I'd REALLY REALLY like to go visit him over Easter for a few days, and the Marines DO allow that. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find a job (and I'm actively applying on a daily basis). I can't afford to go see him right now, we're barely making enough from him to pay the bills. I'm still living with my parents because we are waiting to be stationed together. My parents are unable to afford the entire thing and can only help a little bit, because my mom has to travel for work and my dad retired early due to serious health issues. Please, please help me. I need to get the plane ticket soon if I want to keep the cost of it down, I'm talking within a week, two at the most.
If you've ever been away from your spouse, willingly or unwillingly, for long periods of time, you have to know how hard this is for me. Please help me surprise him by being able to afford this. I've never begged before, so this is all new to me, but this is something I really really want to do and it would mean the world to me.
He is currently stationed at the base I was born on. My mother and father were Marines as well. It is on my bucketlist to see this base, whether he's there or not. I haven't been there since I was 3, and I feel it's important to get back to your roots. :)
Even if a dollar is all you can afford to donate, it's one more dollar than I have right now. I still need about $400 to make this possible. He might even be deployed right out of school, they won't tell us until a few weeks before his school ends. Then I REALLY won't see him for a long time. This may be my last chance. Please help me see my husband. He is my best friend and I don't feel complete without him.
Anything you can give is more appreciated than you'll ever know.
Thank you so much and may God Bless you!!

This would be to help pay everything before i go to boot camp cause while im in i cant really do anything about paying bills for two months. Things would be like my car payment and i help my mom pay her rent so that would help her more than me. well if you think you can help anything would do even a dollar.
Well thank you for reading and listing and if you donate i would really like to thank you for helping me out and my mom for that matter.

Hello. My name is Andy and I am in community college, trying to make ends meet. I am struggling to stay in school because it is so hard to find a job right now. I have to pay for my car registration by the middle of next month, get a smog check for it, renew my license, and pay for classes. I am currently in the delayed entry program for the air force and unfortunately I will not be able to go to boot camp for another 8 months because the military is very backed up right now. I would appreciate any donation. Thanks.
Please help me help myself

Greetings.
I am a 48 year old woman who was laid off at the end of 2009 from a job where I was already struggling to make ends meet. In the beginning I was able to make a living with temp work and by generating additional income with catering and odd jobs. Halfway through last year my mother (turning 80 this week) became terminally ill, and I had to move in with her and my father to assist with her care. She is completely bedridden, extremely weak, and has become blind to boot. Me and my sister shares the work of caring for the parent; when one is working, the other is at home.
I now have to travel long distance to the temp work I can get, and the money I am earning is barely enough to cover my transport and some toiletries. I now dont have time or resources to generate additional income, and in order to go for job interviews for permanent work I need to buy decent clothing, and have additional gas money. I have not been able to buy any new clothes for the last eight years.I need to be able to dress decently for job interviews, to make the right impression, if I am going to find permanent work that will bring enough income to help support my family.
My own children are currently living with my ex husband and his new family, and I have not seen them since Christmas, as I dont have the money for gas to go visit them.
Please help me so that I can help myself, and in turn be able to help others once I have decent work.

My car was stolen last February 14th, on Valentine's Day, and it was recovered one week later because the guy whom stole it had it parked illegally. He had gotten three tickets on my car; in my name. In the midst of contesting the tickets at the Department of Revenue, back and forth between the District Department, my car was booted. Because there weren't place open to pay the tickets on the weekend, my car was impounded.
In order to get the car back I had no choice but to pay those three tickets, boot fee, 2 days overnight for the boot, 2 days overnight storage at the impound lot.
At the impound lot, I was told that they couldn't release my car because the car's plates had expired the day before. It was a mess. Anyway, this situation BROKE me and I could really use some help on my tuition and books. I'm too close I can't drop this time to put more of my focus on work.
Thanks Fam

(I might have accidentally posted duplicate(ish) posts)
Keeping it simple:
I need to get up-to-date on my rent first and foremost and I need another job. There are other things too: I'd love to make a Grocery Outlet/ CostCo run to stock up food and sundries... I need new glasses to replace ones lost in a purloined purse over the summer... it'd be terrific to pay down some medical bills or even just go to the dentist (it's been several years)to make sure I still don't have any cavities.
About me:
I'm an adult student, doing well academically. I enjoy the track I'm on and believe I'm on the right one to boot. I carry a full-time course-load and intend to maintain this momentum. I dropped out years ago and am glad to be back (I'm in my 3rd Quarter back) and it's good for my morale.
I'm unwilling to do any Adult work or anything like that. I've tried that route (again, years back) and for my personality it's no good- I just become sad and resentful and wasted (and I'm in love with someone who'd leave if I did something like that and I don't want to lie and he's good for morale too).
I do occasionally pick up odd jobs (housekeeping, catering, landscaping, babysitting, whatever) and that helps with kibble.
How did I get here?:
When I enrolled in school I was just employed enough to make ends meet and have a little slush fund too. One job from that time has had to cut my hours by 75% and the tips during my remaining shifts are also down. The other regular job I was working ended after my then boss became particularly inappropriate and abusive while late in paying me (I'm still waiting on that check which I believe will come in about two weeks- long story but that's probably within all rights).
So that's me. My friends would help more if they could (and they cheer me on and cover my movies and the like) and so would my family (older parents, teacher siblings) but they can't. And my problems are causing problems to others when I can't pay my bills and so even more I want this all solved. My landlord is the opposite of a jerk and I am supposed to be a regular, reliable source of income.
Thanks for reading. Thanks for helping. I will send out a God Bless request and continue to pray- however, if you don't believe in God that's fine too. Have a great day.

I'm not gonna make it and I want to

In the interest of keeping things simple I'm going to leave out a lot of particulars but here's the overall situation.
I am a full-time adult student who is enjoying being back in school, feels like the right track is being taken and is doing pretty well scholastically.
When I enrolled last Spring I was just employed enough to cover my bills and have a little slush fund to boot. Since then, my hours at one job have been slashed from 10 shifts per month down to two and that is from the restaurant itself being so slow- so the tips per shift are also down. My other job recently ended when my then-employer became actively abusive and said some things that were just going too far- especially when I hadn't yet received my paycheck and am still waiting.
I refuse to do anything sketchy to help out even though this doggy-paddling has me getting tired and nearer to drowning. I've been a working girl in the past and am relishing my nowadays legitimacy (for lack of a better term), my partner and my self-respect. Adult stuff isn't a match for my personality. I here and there do odd jobs- housecleaning, babysitting, whatever really- but with a full plate academically, no car, the economy being shinola that's not remotely enough except for to keep me and the critter in kibble. I currently am behind several hundred dollars on my immediate bills. There are other bills (medical, old student loans, etc)but that's not why I'm here. I need to pay up my rent ($1025) so that I'm back on an on-time cycle (falling behind a couple of months ago has landed me in a constant deficit), I need to do a Big, cheap Grocery Outlet/ CostCo run so as to stock up on food and sundries and I need a new pair of glasses (my purse was stolen last quarter and though I've been able to replace most of what was in my wallet I can't afford an eye-exam/ glasses. And I NEED A JOB. The bills and the job are paramount.
I'm a good person, if a little bit scatterbrained. I don't see the point of not maintaining the momentum I have in school- I've dropped out before and it took over a decade to get back to it- and so I'm sticking with it; morale's high in that regard and I'll be better protected from similar situations in the future. I have friends from nearly 30 years ago and others more recently made. If any of them could they'd help (they do help with the occasional outing or just company and as a cheering squad they're extraordinary).
I need to fix this asap. And not just for me. My landlord is also a good person (probably a better person at the end of the day, really) and this hole I'm in is messing up them as well. Thank you.

FATHER-TO-BE GOING TO BOOT CAMP WITH OVER $30000 IN STUDENT LOANS
Posted by mcsack on 2010-07-09 15:58:58
In August 2009, I was laid off from my job as a retail store manager because of a company bankruptcy. I decided to join the Navy in March of this year and am shipping out to boot camp on December 7th.
In May, my wife and I discovered that we have a child on the way(our first) and she is due on December 17th. I will be in boot camp when my first child is born!
I have over $30000 in student loans that I have been paying on for years, and will continue to pay for a very long time.
In order to better support my wife and future child, my family would greatly appreciate any assistance possible.
Thank you so much.
