In the past several months a lot of unexpected events have taken place in my life. I started a new business, my mom passed away, my car engine blew up, my grown son became ill and one of my small grandchildren came to live with me for needed reasons. I am a 55+ year old female that has worked very hard my whole life but I have exhausted all my means of getting things to work out. If I could just get past this hump someway, I feel I could get back on track. If someone could please help me out temporarily so I don't loose everything I will find away to give back to others again. Thank you

I'm about to be 51 years old and never thought I'd do something like this, but here goes.

I am disabled from a car wreck with a semi, among other conditions. I was on disability for 15 years, but lost it almost 5 years ago because the guy I roomed with was always gone and was supposed to take me to my doctor and Social Security review appointments. Then he got us thrown out of the apartment because he had hoarded his paychecks, was living off my money, and wasn't paying the rent or bills. He left me with a $1600 light bill ! I didn't find out any of this until we were evicted.

I have been homeless ever since, for nearly 5 years, bounced around from place to place, unable to stay in one place long enough to get thru the Social Security application process - I had to start all over again. In 2010, I spent 8 month living in a closet in Columbus, OH and starved.

I had a Social Security hearing in Lexington, KY last August and was dropped off at a horrible homeless shelter in Lexington, to stay until my hearing, when I was assured by a 'free' lawyer I'd get my disability back. I didn't and now I've been trapped in this gulag for more than 10 months, among druggies, alcholics, and ex-cons dumped off here by the police and the Dept. of Corrections. The building is infested wih bedbugs and there is black mold everywhere, which caused me to have an inner ear infection that finally blew a hole in my eardrum since I couldn't get treated for it. Men sleep on the floors and the bathroom is a chamber of horrors. I've had food poisoning 4 times and a couple months ago, more than 40 men sought treatment for food poisoning. The nurse who reported the cases to the Health Dept suddenly left, while the cook remains at work. A Veteran's Admin rep said he wouldn't give the food served here to his dog.

I'm trapped here because Kentucky discriminates against men in that it will not give us Medicaid cards unless we're already on Social Security. This prevents me from having a family doctor and care for my disabilities, which I need in order to win back my benefits. Under these conditions, I will never be able to get out of this nightmare.

I have a friend in Florida who wants me to come down there. FL will give me a Medicaid card and I could at least have a fighting chance to win my disability back. As I've said; I was on it for 15 years and was repeatedly approved every 2 years during the case reviews. I need to get out of this awful state if this nightmare is ever to end. I've lost almost 11 months of my life being warehoused in a place that's one step above prison, and I've done nothing wrong to deserve this. Yet I'm subject to the same rules and restrictions as the ex-cons who live on the floors above me.

I have no family left to fall back on, so all I can do is ask for help. I need money to get to FL so I can get a doctor and my disabillity back, and have a life again. It will cost around $500 to get my things shipped to Orlando, and another $200 to get me there. Then I'd need somewhere to stay until I can get thru the Social Security process again. After that, I'd be OK.

Thank you for reading all this any any help offered would change my life. I would do everything I could to help other homeless men so as to give back help given me when I most needed it.

We seriously need some help, our electricity will be turned off May 2nd, our rent is due May first and the late fees are $25 per day after the first with no max. Our house is total electric so no heat, air, refrigeration, hot water, or ability to cook once the electric is off. Our credit isn't good enough for anything and the only option is payday loans. We keep having garage sales, however it only provides enough money to get staples (bread, milk, butter, a little gas to get back and forth to work). Like many others I have a job, but it keeps us just over broke. Not enough to deal with a crisis. In one week we learned my mother and father were trying to live off $35 a week. My mother eats a bowl of cereal in the morning and a $1 banquet meal for dinner. She takes care of my ailing father 24/7 who has Alzheimer's. So we decided to make a 10 hour ride one way to go see what we could do to help. We gave them what little extra money we had to fill a deep freezer and pay off a loan with crushing interest! While away we learned that my wife's stepmother is dying from cancer. She has stage 4 lung cancer and isn't expected to make it past the end of the year. We need extra funds for my wife to be able to make the 1800 mile trek to her hometown in NY so she can have the opportunity to say her last goodbyes. To top it all off we purchased a car last year through a company known as JD Byrider, a buy here pay here bad credit dealer with an extra perk, for all the extra money you spend on their vehicles they offer a warranty during the term of the loan. Our JDB car blew a head gasket, this should be covered under terms of the warranty. We had the car towed to the dealer for them to make the necessary repairs. The shop said there was nothing wrong with the car, it just needed an oil change, and it was running fine. I promise you a car that won't do over 60 mph floored on a straight stretch of highway ISN'T fine. So we were forced to trade it in, which cost us an extra $5000, making us negative in our bank. Along with all of this is the need to take care of our three children at home, and constantly having to buy diapers for our grand daughter because her parents can't find work and welfare doesn't give enough cash assistance to keep diapers all month long. We are selling everything we can afford to in order to get out of our current situation, but it won't be enough. Right now we need $725 to make rent and $206 for the electric bill. I can spread other bills out over the course of the month, but these two are critical. We have enough food and just enough money to cover gas for the next two weeks. I am willing to provide services for any donation made. I have very good editing skills, and have helped students go from a D paper to a B+/A- paper without changing the content, merely correcting spelling, punctuation and structure. Any help provided will be greatly appreciated.

We have lived on the Shanandoah mountain for about two years. We found a house cheaper than our three bedroom condo we did have in manassas. Which was a little over a thousand a month. Our three bedroom house now on the mountain is exactly a thousand a mth. Our ultilities aren't rediculous. In febuary my husband lost his job. He made good money. I was just finishing up suceeding CDL endorsment classes. Etc. To become a school bus driver. Which has been the only job for me that's come my way in a year. We absolutely love the schools here. Which my three children are in each this year. Thankfully my husband has qualified for unemployment. The state is helping us with food and medical insurance. We allready surrendered our economical car. Then our only vehicle motor blew up two weeks ago. My husband is great at fixing vehicles. We just don't have the money to do so. He wants to go to an auction because he's not for sure about putting a lot of money into our vehicle. Allthough at the same time. We are behind on our rent. Thankfully we are truely blessed with a patient and very understanding landlord. My husband has been fixing up things that have been going wrong with the house since he's been out of work. He and I both have a good chance at jobs. We just don't have a way to them now. Its mind boggling for the both of us. We only have our cell phones for internet. Fortunately our close friend is letting us use his truck that my husband fixed for him recently to use to get our kids to and from busstop morning and afternoon. This truck though isn't legal. Hi my name is candy i'm 26 years old married with a son and daughter on the way. Last month my husband and I were in a car accident.. It caused me severe back injuries and it caused my baby to be in distress. Because of this my doctor took me out of work. I was unable to keep my job, they had to give up my position since my doctor doesn't think I should work until.after our baby is born. My husband is the only one working and we blew through our savings with bills rent, food etc. I have applied for disability but havent heard anything nack. I did receive short term disability through my job but we have exhausted that trying to keep up with these bills. Borrowing money will put us in a bigger he. If there is anyone out there that can help we are in desperate need of 2000 dollars to keep us afloat. This would be greatly appreciated. God bless.

My car stopped on me, I have two kids here with me and I cannot be without my car. I'm begging for someone to please help me. I blew the engine driving it with no oil. There is no way that I can afford to have this car fixed. I asked someone to check the oil for me prior to this happening and I was told that there was oil in the car. I'm sorry. I promise I will never do it again. I am a single mom with no job and it's been so hard for me. I'm also vision impaired and it's weird because my state allows me to drive but people won't hire me because of my vision impairment. So you see financially I just suck. WHERE DO I START! MY HUSBAND CHEATED ON ME AFTER 17-1/2 YEARS. THE GIRL WAS PREGANT AND HE WASN'T SURE IF THE BABY WAS HIS OR HER HUSBANDS. MY HEART WAS BROKEN AND I ASKED HIM TO LEAVE. I am a 58 year old female. I divorced my husband of 17-1/2 years in Oct. 2011, due to him having an affair. My motor in my vehicle blew up and now I have to either borrow a vehicle or bum a ride to work. I had to sell my mobile home and move in the my garage apartment. I am 2 months behind on my apartment note. I don't make enough to pay a car note. my ex left me with many bills. Please donate what ever you can. I will greatly appreciate it. No amount is too little. I am desperate to purchase a vehicle to get back and forth to work. Thank you

I am shocked that I have come to this. Yet I never judged or declined to help those in need, it is simply odd that I have landed in the spot I'm in.

I am a Nurse (Hospice) receiving Disability, and waiting to get back to work. I deal with severe spinal problems, I have had multiple back surgeries, multiple spine procedures, and now live a life in pain daily. No crying here, I am an advocate for others that live in Chronic Pain.

In Jan.'12, I blew out my knee that has already had 2 surgeries. I am waiting for MRI, and results that will tell so much more--a 3rd knee surgery, or back to work?

It is this interim point that I am asking for help to get through.

The last home I was living in, turned out to be a home with several types of Abuse going on. It was there I hurt my knee, and was treated like an animal. I left at the end of Jan., for my own safety, and am staying with family this month,who really can't afford me.

***I was blessed to find a reasonable place to rent for March, it is getting in there that is the issue monetarily. My family can not help me now, (or I wouldn't be here asking). They have been there for me, gave me a couch to sleep on, and ears to cry to.

If anyone who reads this remembers the care they received from a caring and educated nurse, and wants to help out, just know that I am striving to get back to nursing, to make money again, etc. In pain or not! I don't let that keep me down. I am not a lazy person, and actually I hate not being able to work right now!!

Hello, everyone I was layed off from my job in 2009. I live in an area in VA were alot of factories have shut down and alot of jobs have been lost. I was able to collect unemployment for awhile, while I looked for a job in the only field I have ever done, I was willing to take anything but there was just no one hiring in my area. My wife is disabled thanks to a drunk driver hitting her vechicle head on with his, so she has very little income coming in. We got behind on our bills. But I recently found a job were I have to commute an hour everyday. We were starting to make a little head way but were still behind on our mortgage when my truck blew up. This is our only vehicle So I have been doing my best to find a way to work. But need to get my truck fixed I am afraid I am going to loose this job because of this and then we will be in worse shape than before. If anyone out there would be will to help I would be most grateful to you. If you can spare anything it would help. Well thats my story. I hope you will help me cause I am behind on my bills and am afraid we will kicked out of our home and I will loose my job.

I'm a 58 they call me slowpoke.I got my self into trouble.I invested all my money in a shrimp boat and some I borrowed .the day tank lower line broke( that is the tank that holds the water for the engines)and before I knew it the engines blew up.I'm working but not making enough to repair the twin 671s. I am married a veteran who has sustained a traumatic brain injury in Afghanistan. My husband is currently awaiting to receive 100% VA disability, but it has taken a very long time. I am a college student maintaining a steady GPA of a 4.0, and I do my very best to move forward in order to get somewhere in my life, but this year has been an absolute nightmare for our family. I had a premature child this year which resulted in me receiving 25 units of blood transfer and a two week hospitalization. The baby was three months early, but thankfully he did make it and is now doing pretty well. I have a daughter and two other sons who are completely disabled and one is in a wheelchair. We do own our house, but we live in a little town and my husband has to drive 45 miles roundtrip daily in a v8 truck cause that is the only vehicle we have. Right now my husband is being forced to sleep in our truck in freezing weather in order to not lose his job because he will not have enough gas to get back home and to work again for the rest of the week if he does not. I have done everything I possibly can, and somehow I just can't get out of this rut so I am forced to kindly ask those of Christian hearts to please help my family. God will bless you for helping others and spreading genuine love and charity. I don't want a handout, I would rather give it to someone else, but I am at the end of my rope. The fuses in our house blew out and we won't have heat because our house has no heat except plug-in portable heaters. I really need some help. Any will be greatly appreciated.

Hello thank you for taking the time to listen to my situation. My name is Joe I am a 28 year old married father of 2 daughters. My oldest is 3 years old and my youngest is 7 months old. I was a call center worker for 12 years and did mostly sales, collections, and customer service.
About 2 years ago I started getting ill after moving into a apartment. I am a asthmatic and the 1st year after moving in to my apartment I got bronchitis 7 times, Pneumonia 2 times, 2 colds, 1 flu and mono. I quickly used up all my sick time and had also used up all my FLMA time. One day I had to go to the hospital from work and my employer fired me for it.
I filed for unemployment and won but my Pulmonologist
recommended that I find some other work then call center work due to my respiratory problems. I have a anxiety disorder and recently found out why. I was diagnosed with a hyperactive thyroid and I have a small cyst or growth on my thyroid gland. I started experiencing uncontrolled anxiety and fatigue. I went to counseling for the anxiety but it didn’t help much.
I recently moved out of the apartment that was possibly the cause of some of my respiratory problems because we found mold in the hallway outside of our apartment and believed it was in the building too. I have continued to become frequently ill and my fatigue, anxiety, and asthma are making it impossible for me to find a job. I can’t get disability for my asthma because my O2 levels are not low enough.
We moved into a doublewide manufactured home we bought this with a small settlement I received after a truck ran off the road and hit me when I was putting my then 2 year old into her car seat. I was injured but she luckily was ok. The other driver took off on foot. This happened this winter and even after that I have suffered extreme fatigue. Our old car was totaled out and the car we replaced it with turned out to be a lemon. In less than 3,000 miles it blew the transmission and the rear axel broke. It over heated, and we also replaced the battery, 2 pulleys, and the AC went out.

We spent over $4000 in the different repairs on the car and used all of the money from what we had left from the settlement we were going to use to replace the original roof of our house from 1988. Our roof has already had leaks and needs to be replaced

My wife is trying to find work but she has seizures and can’t drive. My wife has only had 2 jobs her whole life and is having a hard time finding work. Now we are in trouble because we have no income and bills keep coming. My parent’s just filed for bankruptcy and cant help us and my wife’s parents are unemployed.

We need help with our bills and to pay for our basic need’s
Our bills are as followed.
Lot Rent 410.00 per month
Water/trash/sewer $100.00 approximately per month.
Phone and internet for two cell phones $150.00 (my wife and 3 year old have seizures and need a cell phone).
Car and home owner insurance $154.00 per month.
Power bill between $100-$300 per month (I live in phoenix, AZ and it gets hot).
We also are paying $100.00 per month to pay the fee for breaking the lease at the apartment that was causing me to get sick so often. We still owe $1,100.00

To put a new roof on our house will cost about $4,000

I wish I never had medical problems so I didn’t have to ask for help. I ask you please if you can help us in any way it would mean so much to us.

Our old car was totaled out and the car we replaced it with turned out to be a lemon. In less than 3,000 miles it blew the transmission and the rear axel broke. It over heated, and we also replaced the battery, 2 pulleys, and the AC went out.

We spent over $4000 in the different repairs on the car and used all of the money from what we had left from the settlement we were going to use to replace the original roof of our house from 1988. Our roof has already had leaks and needs to be replaced

Power bill between $100-$300 per month (I live in phoenix, AZ and it gets hot).
We also are paying $100.00 per month to pay the fee for breaking the lease at the apartment that was causing me to get sick so often. We still owe $1,100.00

To put a new roof on our house will cost about $4,000
