A family in turmoil.
Posted by elbeecee on 2012-04-06 04:58:09
It wasn't long before she became gravely ill. In the summer of 2010 my mother had succumbed to kidney failure and had to be on kidney dialysis permanently. She had neglected to take care of herself while trying to take care of my father and their financial woes. Along with the financial woes, there were back taxes that were still owed and of course were impossible to pay, their house was falling apart--still is. By the end of Spring 2011, my mother got so ill and was on a ventilator at least 4 times in a 2 week period due to her lungs filling up with fluid. Finally it was discovered that she had endocarditis (infection in heart)that had ravaged one of her heart valves. This required open heart surgery and replacement of the defected valve. The endocarditis stemmed from an infected temporary dialysis catheter. She was in the hospital for over a month and a half or so. Needless to say she was confused, lost tons of weight, and lost the ability to walk or care for herself. She was placed in a nursing home for rehab, but several more stays in the hospital only made her fall several steps back on her rehab and she never has fully recovered. It was discovered that she also had a tumor on one of her kidneys and her kidney was removed in the Fall of 2011 and supposedly it was all contained and it was early stage renal (kidney) carcinoma (cancer). While my mother was in the hospital my father had trouble breathing and I took him to the hospital. It as discovered he was in kidney failure and they both ended up in the hospital at the same time. Now my father is on permanent kidney dialysis.
Now fast forward to present day April 6, 2012. My mother's dialysis shunt would not stop bleeding and she was taken to the emergency room. She also complained of right leg pain and ultimately she ended up with a CT angiogram. This test revealed she not only had some blockage in one of her arteries in her leg, but that she had metastatic cancer to her liver, lungs, and a site near her spleen. Of course we are devastated.
They have no money. The money they do get is always depleted as soon as they get it from Medicare. My mother's social security check went straight to the nursing home and still was not enough to cover her bill. My father would have to pay over $1,000 a month because Medicare would only pay for several weeks. Since she has been in the hospital now for almost 2 weeks, we have pulled her out of the nursing home because the expected us to pay over $180 A DAY to keep her spot at the nursing home.
Now we are faced with a surgery to fix her leg, a plan for cancer treatment, and no suitable place for my mother to live. Their current home is in shambles and I mean SHAMBLES. Roof leaks and is falling apart. I assume there is some black mold lingering. No central air or heat as their units are broke. Plus large amounts of stuff--my mother also was a hoarder. The house is disgusting and it has been hard to clean up with out major assistance and with constant trips to the hospital who has ample time (?). They live in a small town and it is very hard to simply get a dumpster to throw many items away. The house would have to be completely gutted and redone. The floors are sinking in and it is very dangerous. They don't have the funds to fix any of it and nor do I.
I have missed work several times over the last year and more with FMLA, but never have enough PTO to fully cover my own losses.
My siblings have yet to start their lives. They have been with my parents ever since 2007 to help them with everything. Even when my mother was in a nursing home my siblings and my dad would go see my mom every single day--we just didn't trust the care of the nursing home and rightly so because she developed a bed ulcer on her heel after the wound care nurse said it was getting better--not even close! And yes the blocked artery in her leg and her bed ulcer on her heel are related. The wound care nurse and the Dr. for the nursing home should have caught this medical issue.
So life has been tough, but reading about it doesn't even give it justice. We need financial assistance, a new home or help to fix it--we need a lot of help. I want my brother and sister to finally get on their own feet and do what they want to do. I feel bad for them because I was able to finish college and have a career, a husband, and a home. They have yet to accomplish their goals and it makes me sad and sick to see them so depressed. They are in their late 20s and my parents are both 65 y.o.
If anyone has a kind heart, I promise you I'm not lying. I have proof of all I have written about and I swear on everything--my family, my husband, etc. that this is all real. Thank you for your time and interest. If you can't help at least please pray for us.
I'm trying this BegsList as desperation as I don't know what to do. My wish is to get them a nice clean place to live and live their last years worry free.
We are about to lose everything

My mom has worked hard her entire life raising three kids on her own. Last year she was diagnosed with epilepsy and can no longer drive. Around this same time she was laid off from her job. Since she was denied state disability her only source of income at the moment is renting out the spare bedrooms in her house. Because of all of this her home is about to be foreclosed on.
On Tuesday this week she went to the hospital for a blood clot in her leg. During a procedure to remove the clot she started bleeding into her stomach. She has been touch and go for days and while the doctors say they are cautiously optomistic she is far from out of the woods yet.
I'm absolutely terrified that even if my mom makes it through all of this she won't have a house to go home to. Let alone be able to buy basic necesseties. I feel helpless and hopeless that I can't do more to help.
She is my everything, and I am begging for you, a kind-hearted stranger, to please do whatever you can to help us. Thank you.
Motorcycle accident..please help
Posted by tadwisn on 2012-01-21 14:58:09
On September 28th, 2011
My husband Trevan had an accident on is his way to an Interview and he was going on Lucent to get on to the highway on C470 and was not able to see with the dew on the street and sun glare. He didnât see the car at the stoplights, going on to C470. Didnât know or see that it was stopped at the light. The sun was so bad that he slammed right into the person in front of him and went over the handlebars of the motorcycle and over the personâs car and was found underneath the car. The Paramedics found him under the personâs car and had to pull him out from under it.
I got a call about 8:15 am from the fire department letting me know that my husband was in an accident. I was so scared I was trying to get my son ready for school and get my daughter ready to so I could take him. I was told that he was taken to Littleton Hospital and that I can call over there and get info on how he is doing. Instead of me calling the ER the ER nurse called me and gave me some info about what they are doing and what ER room they are taking him to. They took some x-rays and he couldnât be moved because they were not sure about his back. So they did the x-rays in the ER. That is what the nurse told me that they were doing and that he was stable. The nurse also said if I could get to the hospital as soon as I could, it would be a good idea to come since the police and fire department was still there. I told her I would try. I called my mother in law to let her that her son was in an accident and I called my mom. There were other people that I called too. When I got there and I had to park so far in the back of the hospital that I had to ask for directions to get to the ER from the outpatient so I could be there with my husband. When I got there it was very hard to see what he looked like. He had a neck brace on and his left arm was all wrapped up like a present. He had a big gash on the inside of his right leg that was pretty wide and you could see the fat and it kept on bleeding. They would not take off the brace from his neck because they didnât know what else was going on with him. I met the ER doctors and they told me that he is in quite bit of pain, and that he was starting to not know what happened off and on. I tried to see if he could tell me himself but could not remember. One of the ER doctors was very concerned about the blood in his urine so they took him to another place in the hospital to do some more tests on him. My mom in the mean time called me and told me that she was on her way to be at the hospital with me for support, I told her that I really need some comfort and to keep it together. When she got here Trevan was not yet taken to get tested yet so my mom said hi to him and ask him questions. Then with the ER nurses came in to take him for the tests my mom ask the nurse what kind of test that they were going to do on him and they said it is to check for internal bleeding. When Trevan was taken back we went to sit in the waiting room in the ER. My mom kept asking me questions but I could not answer any of them, because I have not been told about any thing besides what the nurse told me on the phone before I got there. I ask the nurses that were still around theyâre about where his belonging were because I needed to know if his wallet and other things like ring and glasses was there. They handed me the beg that had his wallet and other things that they took off of him. I took the beg with me so I could go through it and see if every thing was still with him. His wedding band was in there his wallet was in there and socks and helmet was there too so I took it with me out to the waiting room. There was also a ticket that the police left in it too. My mom took a look at it to find out what all happened. It just said it was his fault but we didnât think it was his fault, but later on we did fine out it was his fault but we took care of it for him while he was in the hospital. While we were waiting Trevanâs mom came with my daughter to see him but he was still not back in the Trauma room. After a while they finally moved him to a room so we all went there. They took him to the ICU and we had to keep our hands clean at all times coming and going. Trevan was put on many powerful pain medicines for the pain. He was put on dilaudid and he was on that for a while but then he was inching so bad that they took him off of that and put him on morphine he was a little better but still was itching like crazy.
Doug and Jan drove out here on Wednesday night they didnât stop except for brakes and gas but they drove all the way through so could see Trevan. They arrived at the hospital at 3:30 am. Trevan didnât remember that his dad and step mom came to see him the first night. I told him twice that they were here and he just didnât remember it. Every one came to see Trevan everyday Doug and J, Karen and John Hager, Kehli, his mom Beverly. Doug and Jan were here for four days and they were here also for the surgery. We had a lot of people in the waiting room Beverly and our kids, me, and Doug and Jan. I was happy that I had that many people there with me because I was very upset.
October 1st 2011
Trevan had his surgery on both the pelvis and the humerus bone. The doctor started with his pelvis first he said it was the quick one and that Trevan didnât loose much blood with that one. Then the doctor moved Trevan to another table to do the other part of the surgery. He lost a little bit of blood when they did his surgery on the arm they had to give him two pints of blood. The doctor did come out to tell us the update as he did them and how everything was going. He showed us before and after x-rays. The doctor did a great job of fixing Trevan up. Then after the surgery was done he was in recovery room for about an hour and a half. They moved Trevan to his room afterwards and he still was not doing hot. He kept saying that the room was moving and it made him sick. He tried to keep his eyes closed but it made him even feel worse. He also kept asking for ice chips which I feed to him as much as I could. He was better by the evening, he didnât feel dizzy any more. Family kept coming to see him and tell him that they love him and pray that he will heal quickly. I stayed with him every night after the surgery to keep an eye on how he was doing. He didnât remember a lot of things, which in some ways it is good but in some ways it is bad. I think a lot of it had to do with the pain medicine that the doctors was giving him. A nurse told me that it could happen with the medicine could make you forgetful depending on what kind of pain medicine.

While Trevan was at the hospital he did fall. He hit his head agents the closet that was in his room. The nurses found him on the floor. They did say that when he fell he landed on his right side and that they donât think he hurt him self, but he did hit his head when he went down. I asked them if they were going to see if he did any damage, and they said that he didnât and couldnât do that much damage because the way he fell. I asked them if he hurt any thing else and the nurse they checked him over and asked him questions and didnât see any evidence that he had any more damage to what he already had. I asked to if they did any test to see. They said they didnât do any other tests on him because they didnât want him to be exposed to any more radiation from the x-ray machine. He was getting out of bed by his self with out any help, which he was not supposed to do that. That is why when he fell they put a bed alarm on his bed so they would know at all times that he gets up, for his safety.

During that time while he was a Littleton hospital they were trying to find a rehab place for him so he can start getting back on his feet. They did find one and they had him transferred from Littleton to Porter hospital. Before he left I told him that I would see him later that evening and so will his mom and kids. He said ok and they he was gone. That evening Beverly and the rest of us call daddy from his momâs phone to let him know that we are coming to see him but we were going to stop and get something to eat on the way up to the hospital. Then while we were eating at Wendyâs he calls me on my cell phone and asks if we were still coming I told him yes. I asked him did you even remember that we called you before and told you that we were coming he said no he didnât remember. While he was on the phone with me still we asked him if he wanted us to bring something for him. He said yes. We brought him a hamburger and a frosty. When we got to the Porter hospital and got to his room we noticed it was very small and odd shaped. He had a window but in the wrong place or the room was just in the worst place. It looked like a bad shaped L and had no flow to it. I asked Trevan on how he was doing and he said tired and in pain. I said you just been through a lot and it will take a while to heal. Then we gave him is food and let him eat while we also talked to the nurses that were taking care of him there. We also ask that if there was a way for a cot to be put in there so I could stay with him some of the times. They said yes that they will get one in the room the next time I come up to see him. I said thanks. They also had a bed alarm on his bed and his wheel chair that he was using. I am happy that they had that on there but the moment that he got up to use the urinal that the alarm went off. And he didnât feel comfortable with them always coming in and him not able to potty when he wanted too. When he is in the bed but keep it on when he is in the wheel chair because he could not remember to lock his brakes before he transferred form the wheel >chair to bed or just getting up to stand.

Trevan calls him mom to get my number to be able to call me. He talked to her for a while and he also asked if we were coming to see him, and also asked if we knew where he was. His mom said yes she knew and asked him if he remembered that we were the other night. He said no and also said that we werenât there to see him. Which we were there but he just didnât remember that we were all there his son and daughter me and his mom. He forgot the entire evening and event that we even were there to see him the night before. His mom said to him that we were all coming to see you again tonight so we will see you later. The same day I went to take our van to get the oil changed in it and found out that there was a clucking sound and they told me that it was not safe for me to keep driving it. They said about a week or two would be all I should drive it. I called my dad and asked if he knew any one that I could take my van to get an idea on how much it would cast to get it fixed. This was all the same day that I was going to see Trevan at the hospital. They didnât want me to drive it anymore until it was fixed. So Beverly had to take me back and forth to and from the hospital for a while. After Beverly got off work we all got in to the car and drove up to the hospital. We asked the nurses if there was any way for Trevan to watch movies other than watching TV all the time. They said yes and told us there is a TV, VCR that is on a cart that can go into their room to watch movies and only VHS tapes only no DVDâS. So mom went into the lunchroom and looked at all the movies and wrote down all the ones that Trevan would be interested in watching. After she was done she brought the list to Trevan to see and to know that he had choices. Then we went home and told Trevan that we will see him later the next day. Then said our good-byes.
October 7th 2011
There was a lot of thing going on this day that I donât want to go through again. I had to take my van to a place that my sister in law told me about. I made my appointment with them the day before and they wanted me to bring it back today and get it fixed. They even said that it was not safe at all. I left it with them to fix it in the morning. Then I came back home and had more things to do. I had to run around back and forth using my mother in laws car which was ok she was taking care of my daughter and my niece so I got thing done and I was able to relax a little bit. We all went to see Trevan that evening. We had to go and pick up my van after we picked up dinner. Then we left to see Trevan. When we got there into Trevanâs room he looked really tired and in a bit of pain. We got an extra hamburger so we gave it to him so he could eat it. Of course he at it all up. I changed the channel and found shreck the movie and we all watched that with Trevan. The nurse cam in to see how he was doing. He said that he needed more pain medicine, also needed to have his depends changed. The kids and grandma left outside the room while he was getting changed. After he got settled again the kids came back in and they were getting rowdy so I ask Beverly to take the kids home. They gave their daddy a kiss and left. That night I stayed with him and he kept on asking if the nurse had given him his pain medicine. I told him yes that they did give you your medicine. I asked him if even remembered it and he said no. He asked me 4 other times to while I was there. When it was time for him to have another dose of medicine I said to use the call button that is what it is there for instead of me always running in and out of his room to let the nurses know that he needed more medicine. I stayed with him all night it was very hard for me to hear. When Trevan would fall to sleep he would start dreaming and breathing heavy then wake up crying and then fell back to sleep. It would go on about 5 times at night. I think it was nightmares and when he wakes up he would not remember any of it.
October 8th 2011
The nurses were coming into see how Trevan was doing. He had his breakfast and pain medicine. After breakfast the therapist came in to take him to do some therapy stuff. He worked on the ramp with wheel chair going up and down with keeping control with his feet. The first round was 35 minutes. Then comes back and rests for a half-hour and goes again for 30 minutes. Then he came back and rested and had lunch. Then he went with another therapist and goes and has a shower, but after a while he came back. The nurses told me when they came back with Trevan that the cut on the inside of the right leg came open while they were helping him with his shower. He lost a little bit of blood but it hurt him quite a bit. So two nurses came back. One was pushing him and the other on putting pressure on the wound. When he was back in the room he looked like a ghost, and looked very tired. Then his nurse came in to put a different kind of bandage on his leg. By the end of the day he had color back in his face and was doing better. That day and evening he didnât know that I was staying with him. I was with him at the hospital since Friday night, to Sunday evening. I will be going home on Sunday night.
October 9th 2011
The nurses and doctors decided not to have therapy because Trevan gave them a scare. So they just let him rest and let the wound heal some more before he did any more. I watched him sleep and he has the bad dreams again all day, and all night. I woke up every time he had the dreams. I counted how many times he would wake up and go to sleep again. It was hard to hear too. When he did wake up I would ask if he remembered any of it. He would say No. I did let the nurses know what was going on with Trevan and also asked him to keep an eye out and check on him. I also asked them to keep a record of it too. I left the evening so I could take care of my kids the next day. My mother in law had to work and had to keep Sarah with me. I said my good-byes. I asked the nurses to keep me in formed on how he did through the night.
October 10th 2011
Trevan told me that he had therapy and that he was in some pain. He was up in the wheel chair and bed. He was learning how to put socks and underwear, shorts and shirt on by him self with out help and doing it all by with one hand. He did OK is what he said. It is hard for him to remember which arm to do in first. The nurses said try to remember left first than over the head than right arm. Then put your glasses on so you can see. He said he would try to remember. Then I went home. He also saw the doctor and asked for Ibuprofen.
October 11th 2011
I got to the hospital to see Trevan about 7ish. He looked tire but also happy to see me. He said to me when I can in âI was wondering when you were going to be hereâ I said I had to take care of the kids first. In the morning he did therapy then he has lunch and after he had lunch he did some more activities he had u ride outside and played scrabble to get his mind working on thinking. That is what he did during the day when I was not there to see him during the day Trevan had therapy and looked somewhat tired when I got there, he was also in his wheel chair. He ate all the tacos that his mom got for him. After we got done eating he was in a lot of pain. He asked for more pain medicine and he could not get any more ibuprofen. So they gave him percocet for the pain. All we did while I was there with him we talked and watched TV together. Was late when I left to go home and care for my kids.
October 12th 2011
I went to see Trevan about 7ish again. He did a lot of thing in the morning it was all written down so I knew what he did. Which he was to do every day for his memory issues that he has. He had breakfast then he had PT. He did exercises with his legs. ST. tested him it scored 20 out of 25 on the cognitive tests. Then he did some transferring using one leg, 2-½ lbs. on the other leg (right leg all weight and partial weight on the left.) After lunch he did the walker, wheel chair, shower, teeth and hair. All of this info that I keep getting is what he writes down for his memory reminder. I took a look at him and asked him how he is doing, He said he is in a bit of pain. A lot of pain was mainly in the arm. He asked for some pain medicine and he started to fall to sleep. So I told him that I would head home and take care of the kids. He said to tell them that he loves them. I said ok.
October 13th 2011
Just reading his report that he wrote. He did getting in to his wheel chair to go to the toilet, Independence Square and weight. That was his activities during the day and he also had another stitch pop and his leg started bleeding again. That is what he told me. It is covered with gaze. I was happy that they did put that on there to protect it better. He has been sleeping better. They arenât using the walker with the plate form because of his bad left arm. He is balancing so much better on his right leg which I am very proud of him. I noticed while I was there he didnât remember that he had his pain medicine which they did give it to him. But they could not give him any more until 9:15 PM. And it was about 8:20 PM when he asked for more pain medicine.
October 14th 2011
Trevan woke up around 5:45 am having pain in his arm and needed to be changed. Found out that Dr. Bess has not released him from putting more weight on his left leg. It will be 30% weight for a while. At a little bit after 9 this morning went for a wheel chair walk. He sat in the wheel chair and used his right foot to move him forward and his right hand also help him to move forward in the direction that he needs to go. He went around the hallway twice. Then after he did that he came back to his room, so after that another person came in and took him down to the shower. Both of us were in the shower room with the nurse getting him ready and helping him stand only on one leg. He could not put much weight on the left leg. After every thing was off the therapist helped him sit on the shower/ tub chair. We both helped him get cleaned up, but we made sure he did most of the cleaning up. He did well at listening to me and stayed seated until we needed him to stand to pull up his pants. He only used his right leg to stand on and his right arm to pull up. I told him if he comes home he is going to have to listen and wait until I can come and help him. I didnât want him to fall again and end up in the hospital again. After the shower we went back to his room to rest for a few minutes. Then he went to do more moving therapy. He did hopping on the right leg and using the parallel bars with the right arm to and from the wheel chair. Then he did some bumping up and down on the stairs. They would not do any more of them for a while because it tired him out so much. We did not know when he would be able to come home yet. We were going to have someone come by to take a look at the house and see if he can come home. Right now it is set for wed. But it is not set in stone. I am planning to stay the night again and leave about 8:15 am to watch my daughter. Then I will be back to stay with him again that evening.
October 15th 2011
This is what Trevan did for the day, leg/ hip exercises, control wheelchair up and down ramp. ST- did memory strategies, put a picture with info, and writing down notes. OT- watched him do his brushing his teeth, getting dressed, independence square (cashier, shop, and sandwich) memory. That is what he did and also found out he has a urine infection. He slept a little bit, was up having to go to the potty all night, had to remind him mot to put any weight on his left leg. He said that he was not but I doubt it. I was watching him. After he was done he was always putting weight on the left leg every time he pushed his butt back in the bed. I am very worried about that. I did tell the nurses to keep an eye on him that he was having issues with him having to pee all the time. Since he had the infection. They said that they would keep watch and see how he does through the night.
October 16th 2011
Trevan had a bad day at remembering this day. I just donât remember what he forgot because I was also very tired this day also.
October 17th 2011
We brought Trevan home to do the home inspection so we could find out what we all needed to do and what to get for the house, so Trevan can come home. We didnât want him to get injured any more than what he is now. When we got to the house the two nurses had to lift him and the wheel chair up the stairs since we didnât have the ramp up quite yet. We did tell them it would be up once we know what day we could get help. While Trevan was still sitting in the wheel chair he had to use the restroom. He did try to get in the restroom which he did do just fine, but when he was ready to get back out and into the wheel chair he almost fell in to the wheel. So they deiced not to have him use the small bathroom.

PLEASE HELP ME HEAL MY MOM
Posted by HelpHealMyMom on 2011-12-12 03:58:28
There I was sitting there in the waiting room, feeling very alone, while the two expert surgeons told me what they had done, and knowing it was a band-aid, hoping to have extended her life. I rejected that then, and I reject it now. I believe God for a cure, and for them to find no traces of cancer in her body, and I receive that which Iâve asked for. She is scheduled to have another round of chemo to hopefully kill what is left. The medical expenses have become unbearable.
I have done tons of research, so much so that I had to start taking sleeping pills to sleep at night. I know that there are ways to help my mom beat this disease, and I think I have found someone who can help. Unfortunately, her treatment protocol is $5900/week, for a minimum of four weeks. My mom is on disability, and I am currently collecting unemployment, as it was too difficult to travel with mom, and hold down a regular job. I have written letters to churches, charities, etc. I have to do whatever I can for my mom, she is my best friend, my brother, my sister, and the only father Iâve ever known.
Absolutely anything would help. Thank you so much, I appreciate your time.
Attacked by an owl
Posted by Dan123 on 2011-11-08 14:58:35
So about a week later I went outside again and again out of nowhere I hear a "whoosh" sound and suddenly this huge owl is scratching at my face and pecking at me. I ran back inside and again I was bleeding and scratched up, although I didn't need stitches this time. So I started thinking what is going on here?
I was attacked by this owl several times in September and October as well. It's quite large and a brownish-black color. Sometimes it "hoots" as it swoops down towards me. It seems to prefer to attack at night, although it has attacked me in the daytime as well.
The owl attacks have made me very paranoid about going outside, and I can't sleep normally any more. I lost my job after making some stupid mistakes at work because I can't concentrate. The worst thing is that people don't believe me when I tell them there is an owl who hates me and always attacks me. They usually just laugh, or they pretend to have compassion and then tell others I'm crazy. I'm constantly looking up at the sky and checking all trees and telephone poles whenever I need to go outside now. I always wear thick hats and long sleeves now as well. Sometimes I can see the owl waiting for me, perched in a tree, through the window. Once I saw the owl perched in a tree on a bright night when I had to go to the store. I made it to my car and went to the grocery, and when I came out the door and went to put the groceries in my car, I SAW THE OWL ON A LAMP-POST THERE. I panicked and threw all the grocery bags into the trunk and jumped into the car. It is following me and waiting for a chance to attack again.
Anyway, I'm asking for help here for two reasons. First, I need to get away from this owl. I lost my job and am in debt and can't afford to move unless I have some help. I want to move to a different part of my small city, or maybe even to a new city. I just want to start over. It seems like this owl has ruined my life. Secondly, I think I need some psychological counseling, but I don't have insurance. The owl has traumatized me and I'm always worried about it. I sometimes get panic attacks where my heart starts beating really fast and I start to sweat and need to sit down and do nothing for half an hour. It's really scary.
Anyway thank you for reading and please consider helping me. I think I could get a new start with about $1000, but every little bit helps. God bless you.

Christian Single Mother Looking for a Life-Line
Posted by clairmanno on 2011-08-17 14:58:11
My name is Faith and I am a Christian mother of two school aged children.
I am filled with gratitude and thanks to God for all the blessings he has given me. The greatest gifts that I have been given are my two children.
I have never reached out to anyone for help, but today I feel compelled to reach out. I have been unable to sleep or eat for months, my hair is falling out from stress and my body is covered in hives.
I know that my hands are tied, I cannot solve my financial problems on my own. I have tried, I work full time, I have been doing additional work, cleaning homes, doing paid research studies, etc. I know that God has the power to put the right people and the right circumstances in our lives to solve any problems, even if they seem impossible.
I am literally drowning in debt. It feels like I am in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and I keep going down deeper and deeper.
My son was born with Congenital Heart Disease and required Open Heart Surgery. Due to complications and financial shortcomings as a result of my son's surgery, my children and I were forced to leave our home. I found another home for us to live in. Less than a year after moving into our new home, both of my kids became very ill. My son was once again hospitalized. This time he was bleeding internally. We found out that the home we were living in was full of Stracybotrus Mold, the home was deemed uninhabitable. I was told by multiple doctors and by environmental companies that we must leave our home. I was told that I must throw away anything that I had that could not be dipped in bleach to get rid of the mold spores. I rented a large dumpster, the kind that has the stairs on the side to climb up. I literally threw away almost everything that my kids and I have ever owned. I was forced to throw away all of our mattresses, couches, pillows, stuffed animals, stuffed animals, dolls, toys, toaster, curtains, etc. Just imagine everything that you have in your home, if I can't be dipped in bleach, it had to be thrown away.
The health of my children was more important to me that any material possession, so I was OK with throwing it all away.
We are now in another home and I am struggling to replace everything that I had to throw away. I have started with beds for the kids and toys to replace what we had to throw away.
We lost everthing. We lost the money that we put down on the mold house, we lost all the money I put into the mold house trying to make it a home, we lost all of our possessions. But, we have not lost our faith or our gratitude.
I am currently about $20,000 in debt, past due on mortgage, utilities, and credit card bills.
If you can find it in your heart to donate any amount, my family would be so grateful. I really do not care about myself, I buy all my clothes at second hand stores or garage sales, I cut my own hair and eat only things that are really inexpensive like Top Ramen. What I do care about though is my kids. They have suffered enough in their short lives and I want them to feel safe, warm and secure. I have protected them from the financial storm as much as possible, but I know that they see my crying and worrying about the bills, so this is why I am asking for help.
Thank you again for reading my plea.

About two years ago she hurt her eye when she ran into a metal object. There was bleeding inside her eye and they had to operate to get the blood out. And after that she had medicine to take to keep from to getting infected. And she took it for one month and then she stoped taking to for the next month and got an infection in it and I had to buy medicine again for her to stop the infection or she would go blind.
She has had trouble with that eye on and off ever sence she hurt her eye. I payed for all her medical expences, the operation, medicine everything with what was left over form my college loans and credit cards and other loans. Now I have no more money to help her and my credit score is so low that I can get no more loans. And the Philippine government is such a poor country that you can only get help if you are almost dead and by the time it goes through it would be to late any way.And I can ask the U.S. government for help because she doesn't live in the US and is not a citizen.
She is in pain from her eyes again and I she can't get medicine in time she will lose her eye sight.
This has all been very hard on me because I have no way to help her any more and I will have to be the one that will have to set over here and watch her go blind and there would be nothing I can do about. And adding to my stress is the fact that most of the people I talk to about it don't seen to care.
My mailing address is 225 N. Madison Ave.,Apt. 502

Or you could send any donation by paypal. I got signed on to paypal when I was trying to find something on the net that I could help her with.
Trapped

We are trapped here in a very rural area with limited resources because of a situation caused by my brother and exasperated by my mother, forcing us to move. She played savior and offered her unoccupied house, even though she played a significant part in the incident. She then unexpectedly moved in right behind us.
I had positions with several companies, working at home. My mother took the laptop and limits my time on it, so I lost positions. She limits my vehicle use to her errands, there are two vehicles and I'm on her policy. She does not want me with my own money.
I try to keep us optimistic. This was supposed to be temporary. I am asking for help for health reasons. Due to the incredible stress, I have daily migraines and have to wear sunglasses most times, and heavy monthly bleeding due to my hormones being out of whack. This is very scary for me. Doctor's advice is to, or course, leave stressful situation.
It is very easy to tell someone to just leave. I need help to do so.
I want you all to look up Narcissistic Mother, or Covert Narcissistic, or Narcissistic Family online. If after doing so, you find it deplorable and hard to understand how someone could be that way, then you are blessed to not have experienced such in your life.
There is Nothing For Us Here!!! Please Help Us Escape!!!
Thank You.
Suffering to keep my family afloat.

My parents live in a small one bedroom apartment with my little brother. I live in an apartment. There's no room for me at their apartment because my little brother is already sleeping on their only couch.
My dad works for a delivery company and can't do the work without my help. It's an all-day job, from 7am to 11pm, but he gets paid per delivery so it's not much coming in per month. I can't get a job because if I get one my dad will lose his job... and if he loses his job he will have lost everything.
Both of my parents are very ill... my dad has a long-term illness and my mom is in the hospital with pneumonia. I had to pay $80 for her medicine the other day but I didn't have more than $0.25 so I had to call a friend, who is also out of work, and have her lend me $80. She has less than $140 in the bank now and I owe her over $1000. As you can see she has rescued me more than once but soon she won't be able to rescue even herself.
I do not qualify for unemployment insurance as I spent the last two years as a student, nor do I qualify for welfare. I don't have a disability so I don't qualify for disability assistance either. I feel trapped and every day is a struggle.
Almost every penny I see goes to my parents, who are incredibly in debt. Because of this I find myself eating Kraft Dinner without milk or butter because I can't afford them. The Kraft Dinner I get from the food bank...
I have a number of bleeding ulcers that cause me severe pain and because I am 25 I am no longer under my mom's medical coverage. I can't afford the pharmacare's 2011 premium so I'm just "making do". I find myself throwing up three or four times a day because I can't afford my medication. And now I've had a toothache for three days that I can't get looked at.
I just need a little help... just something to get me by. So anything you can give would make a world of difference to me.
Sincerely, Thank you.
In dire need of medical care!!!

I've been having problems for almost 2 years now. I saved up $200 and went to a general practitioner and was told I need a gynecologist. I've been bleeding now, almost constantly for the past 2 years (from my uterus). I've been told this can be caused by many things, but early detection is the way to be cured. I've got pain in my ribs and a lot of swelling. I NEED a doctor, but I can't pay. I've exhausted every avenue I can think of. I've been to different agencies, I've begged, but I can't get any help. I don't make much money (less than $5,000) a year and I'm single now (divorced) I've even been the the ER, they only put a bandage on the situation and tell me to see my doctor. IF I HAD a doctor and could afford a doctor I would have been seeing him for this years ago.
Is there ANYONE out there that can and will help me get this taken care of? I'm really scared and I need help. It doesn't HAVE to be money. If you are a gynecologist willing to see me and help me get the tests I need and the treatment I know I need--that is wonderful. Otherwise any and all donations will go toward the cost of my seeking help for this.
severe rare allergic reaction almost killed me.

Whenever I get sick, I usually just deal with it because as like others-I can't afford health insurance. I ended up with and infection that only antibiotics would cure. I went to a walk-in clinic who prescribed me an antibiotic. I had no idea I was allergic to the sulfa based drugs and after taking it for 9 days-that night I started feeling like I had hives on my back. The next day was fathers day and by that afternoon my whole body was being covered from head to toe by these red and purple spots ( also none as thrombocytopenia)and they were starting to come into my eye and my gums started bleeding. This put everyone around me including my kids in a slight panic.
Long story short- I went to a local hospital where I figured I could get a shot for the reaction-but it turns out it was so serious that I was life-flighted to a different hospital because my platelet count had dropped to 1000 (it should normally be 150,000 to 450,000) and my hemoglobin had completely been destroyed and I was bleeding to death. I remained in the hospital for over a week and am now left with bills totally over 100,000 between the 2 hospitals-the life flight- the 10 different specialists that were called in to see me and everything else.
I really really need some help to pay off these bills. I will be in debt for the rest of my life trying to pay off these bills. Thank you for reading my story and thank you to anyone who can help. heather
A Second Chance on Life!

My Heartache
I was a victim in a horrific accident, which changed my life in a split second. When I regained consciousness after being in a coma for three months, I realized that the way I lived and saw life in the past, would change forever. To my horror I saw that my one leg was amputated at my knee - and that was only the beginning I was paralyzed from my waist downwards.
The doctors informed me that I was very lucky to be alive. I broke my lower back on three places, had 27 fractures throughout my whole body and had a fractured skull. The medical staff told me that I was on life support for two weeks and they feared that I would not survive my injuries, and if I did survive, that I would have brain damage (the bleeding in my skull had caused my head to swell to double its size) and that I would be paralyzed for the rest of my life - confined to a wheelchair.
My Healing
I underwent groundbreaking surgery on my back, taking bone from my hip bone to rebuild the vertebrae in my back. After wearing a body brace for 3 months, I started swimming to the best of my ability with my lower body being paralyzed. I spent 6 to 8 hours a day in the pool and miraculously, after doing this for 22 months, I slowly regained feeling and movement in my amputated leg. I was overcome with joy.
My Happiness
Finally, after being confined to a wheelchair for 3 years, with a brace on my paralyzed leg and a walking aid, I took my first step. I never regained the use of my one leg I regained a small amount of feeling, but no movement. But this handicap did not bother me I had my prosthetic leg and my walking aid I could move around, have a shower, be normal.
I was so incredibly grateful for this Second Chance on Life. I was on top of the world and I was looking forward to a wonderful future I really got a second chance on life or so I thought.
My Heartache once again
A few months later I developed an excruciating pain in my paralyzed leg and back. This pain literally paralyzed me and I had to revert back to using a wheelchair to get around. I am back to that time in my life when I was in hospital and realized the enormity of my injuries. The pain is not only preventing me from walking, but also from living a normal life. The pain consumes me, 24 hours a day. I cant function in the normal sense of word.
According to my surgeon, another back surgery will relieve me from the pain. This surgery is my only hope to ever walk again and have a normal life. This operation is very, very expensive (tens of thousands of dollars). My medical insurance is depleted and my medical expenses, ruined me financially.
The months since the pain started, when I could not work and was basically bedridden, I compiled an e-book on health, anti aging, super foods, diet and the perfect exercise program, sustained by years of medical research, conducted by professionals in their individual fields of expertise. This e-book was going to be my tool to make the money to pay for my surgery. I have made a few sales, but not nearly enough for to cover the cost of the back surgery that I so desperately need.
I now plea with you to find a place in your heart to make any donation towards my surgery. In return I will send you my e-book, no matter how big or small your donation is, any donation will be greatly appreciated.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and empathy.

Single mother..Lone Ranger
Posted by shethrives on 2010-06-28 15:58:58
My past:
I used to have 4 jobs and took care of myself and daughter. I fell in love with a man with maxxed out credit. That was 14yrs ago. After many promises to marry me I became ill. I had a birth deffect which caused weight gain, problems bending turning and lifting. Toxins filled my system until my bleeding in the embillical cord started. I became a prisoner in my non functioning body. After 6 months of bleeding and surgeries I was released but told I would have a long healing process. I am doing somewhat better but still cannot do alot of bending although I am proud to say I can tie my shoes :)
The Event that changed my daughters life:
My fiance and I had purchased a fixer upper and our family moved in and shortly after the economy messed up and so did our finances even more. My fiance left us with the mortgage and no car, no income, no food, no nothing. We lost our home and I was forced to move to the only place I could afford to move. I recieve $65 a month child support.
My daughter had spent her whole life going to the same school. She has dyslexia and is LD. She works hard and managed to be a honor student taking all honors classes. She plays 3 sports in hopes that she will be able to obtain a college scholarship otherwise she knows we will never afford to go. She was President of her class and Capt of her volleyball team when we had to remove her from her school. Her GPA dropped due to combining classes and classes where not on the same page. She lost a seal on her deploma because her new school didnt offer all the honor classes she needed. She is still working to get an advanced deploma and she just got back on the honor roll. She was lined up to get into the fire dept and to take lifeguard classes when her dad left. All things I couldnt afford to give her. :( I managed to sell half of our belongings to pay for drivers ed.
The home we moved into 8 months ago needed electrical work and more. We had no where else we could go so we had to take it. They agreed to let me move in for cheap if I could fix it. My brother pays my rent, phone and electric but I am still with out a car to allow me to get to work. We live about 20 minutes from town. Our driveway is 1/2 mile long and when we got 3 ft of snow this winter we walked out to get ride to the store. Our town has no job openings. I have no living room furniture, no tv and we have mattresses on the floor in the good part of the house.
Recently to add to the stress I had a tooth fall out and part of it remained. It got infected and when the gums swelled my tooth next to it broke out. :(
My future:
Right now I feel like I am losing the fight. I know my daughter deserves so much more and I am not afraid to work for it. I spent months online trying to make money online from home. No luck. I seriously dont know what else to do then to beg and pray. I spent many years volunteering my time and I was on many boards. I keep wondering why me and my daughter? Where is our help? I fear I will lose my home or even worse...my child. Please help.
I am looking for about $1000 to start my business which I can make my own hours and I have people lined up for business, I am a photographer.
I could seriously use a few thousand to get a reliable car.
I could use about $1000 for my daughter to go to camp and for much needed clothes.
I could use funiture, household items, towels, and a tv.
Thank you in advance, every dollar counts.
