Hi, my name is Kendra Lynn S. I'm 22 and living in Kansas City, MO. I'm originally from Ashland, KY but I moved to Missouri in August of 2011 to live with my aunt and work for her husband. I needed a change and needed to get away from a life that was killing me in Kentucky. I miss it sometimes and I miss my friends, but I met an amazing man here who loves me with all his heart and I plan to marry him and spend forever with him. We don't have a lot of money but we are getting by, we're just happy to be together. I work 2 jobs and he works full time at a bank, but we're having trouble raising money for a huge step in our wedding planning: I have to declare chapter 7 bankruptcy.
I have $10,043 in medical bill debt from an accident in January 2010 where someone hit me with a 4-wheeler, putting me in a coma for 2 months and then physical therapy and rehab after that. The original bill was $200,000 for the medical costs, but I received a scholarship to cover 95% of the cost because I didn't have health insurance at the time. While I was in a coma, I lost my apartment, fell behind on payments on my school loans, and my bills were sent to collections. Ashland Kentucky is a small town, and we're kind of a small family so I didn't want to press charges on the person who hit me. But when I met my fiancé and we started talking about marriage, I discussed my situation with a lawyer to determine what I should do.
We want to be able to buy a house in the future, but with this debt the lawyer was afraid that my credit will hinder that. The lawyer was also afraid that since my bills are in collections that if I get married that the creditors would seize my fiancé’s assets. My fiancé doesn't have much, but we are sharing his truck since I lost my car and if the creditors took his truck we'd be out the $10,000 remaining on the truck loan and without a vehicle. I decided I would try to press charges just for the cost of filing bankruptcy, but the person who hit me was the sheriff’s son. No police report was ever filed. Small town politics are good in most situations. This is not one of them.
The lawyer tried to do what he could, but Kentucky’s statute of limitations for filing suit against someone is 1 year. By the time I decided I needed to sue, it was too late. So I’m stuck with a bill I can’t pay and it’s the only thing keeping me from marrying the man I love. My mother is a medical transcriptionist in West Virginia, and she’s barely making enough to support herself and her boyfriend so I can’t ask her for help. My father has been in prison my entire life so I don’t really have anyone to turn to for assistance with this. My fiancé’s parents have been very helpful, but they only have so much to help with and they can’t assist us with the bankruptcy.
Me and Trey (my fiancé) are paying for the wedding and the honeymoon entirely by ourselves, on top of keeping up with rent and truck payments and regular bills. Like I said, we’re happy and we’re doing okay living a humble lifestyle. Other people have it worse, I get that and I’m grateful for the love I’ve found and the life I get to spend with him. We wanted to get married in June, but at the rate we’re able to save towards the cost of filing bankruptcy, it could be next year before we could get married, and neither of us want to wait that long.
I already spoke to 1 lawyer and was quoted $1500, two payments of $750. Our finances are so carefully budgeted that and stretched so thin that we just can't do that. My fiancé has stopped eating breakfast and lunch to save money, started riding his bike to work and is doing everything he can to save money. We’ve set aside $300 towards the filing cost. It’s taken us 4 months to do that. We intended on using our tax returns to file, but mine was taken by the creditors and we used his to try to get ahead on our bills. So here’s what I’m asking: any donation towards the cost of filing my bankruptcy would be a huge blessing right now. Some members of our church have offered to assist us, and someone referred us to this site. I
think it’s a great thing that people are willing to help complete strangers out and I wish that I had the resources to help others at this time. We’ve already agreed that we will do whatever we can to help others in need on this site once we can start setting more money aside once we’re married. Hi. I live on a small pension and make extra money by recycling. Recently my bike and trailer i use to collect items with were stolen. this has almost cut my income in half not being able to collect like i was. I have been trying to save up for a new bike and trailer. but with my income now half what it was this is just not possible. Please if you can i would very much appreciate the help. Just imagine if as little as 300 dollars could give you the means to earn a decent living. A hand up is all i ask. to once again have the means to support myself.

I am a single mother in need of help I am still recovering from the loss of everything I owned due to a personal tragedy .My mama and other other family members also could use some help .I am in bad health but am willing to work for any donations as much as I am physically able to.It would sure be a blessing to get some of the things we need to get ahead to the point where we could have a better quality of life.My child is about to have a birthday coming up and I would love to be able to give him something .I am also about to move into a new place cause I am staying with family and they are no longer going to be able to help me for they are very poor themselves ,so I will to move out and will need beds ,houshold items ,and many other things when I move . I have had one surgery already on my legs and will have another one in a few weeks. My Doctor wants me to buy a spinner bike to get my legs stronger. I weigh 330 and the only spin bike that I can buy that will support me is 2000, I need your help. The sooner I can get better the sooner I can get back to work. My wife is supporting both of use and its hard being a man not able to provide for the ones I love...

hi i am currently in education doing plumbing level 2. just the other day i had my bike stolen from my own back yard and a couple of other things as well. but i need a bike to get to collage as i am travel sick to use busses. please could someone please help me as i have have lost days being at collage as i cannot get there. I have been told if i cannot get to the collage more regular i will be cancled off the course and i will not be able to start the course again at that same collage. the collage is around 9-10 miles from my house. please. someone out there please help me.

I am a 25year old single mom, struggling to make ends meet. I have a custody order witch does not allow relocation out of state, so I am here alone. My family all lives in other states. My parents would love to help me however they r on fixed income disability so they r not to hot themselves. I work part-time as housekeeper, about eight hours a week. Not enough I donot recieve child support and am really close to eviction notice I ride a bike to and from work and continually looking for more work. I am sitting at home alone on thanksgiving dat. I am not able to even enjoy the holiday with family due to income. My 4yr old lil girl is with her dad today and this is my first time ever to spend a holiday alone. I'm a good person who desperately needs a helping hand. I need $5000 to get back on my feet and be in a position to carry myself again and be back in the position to help my family. I've lost everything due to too many misfortunes in a row. I couldn't afford my car so I gave it away to a needy family. I could of sold it for a $1000 and help myself but that's not the way my heart works. I now ride a bicycle, but no one takes me serious riding a bike to a job. I have been ran off the road and had bottles thrown at me as I rode along the road. It stinks but I must do what I have to. I ride 25 miles round trip to volunteer at an animal shelter.
All my life I've thought about and helped others. In the past months I've really had some bad luck with finding work. I am now facing being homeless and barely can put food on the table.

It takes allot for me to ask for help, but I did. I went around to all my friends and family before considering asking strangers here on the internet. I have the greatest bunch of friends and family but they are in no position to help me. It hurts me to even be in this position and the mental weight is taking it's toll.

I'm used to being the person who gives out the help. I feel embarrassed but have none to ask for this kind of help. Being a Dad I feel I'm failing and it's killing my heart not to be able to be their for others like I used to be when I had work.

I've been praying to the Lord that he brings me help. $5000 would turn my life around. I really just need to vent and can't pay to see a therapist right now. First of all I am fucked in the head. My mother was and is emotionally abusive. I was called a bastard, whore, slut, or bitch most of my life. Luckily I wasn't my sister because she gets called a retard because she has dyslexia and a learning disorder. One time my mother asked me when I was about 13 if I wanted to see a match burn twice. I said sure thinking it was a trick of some sort. My mom lit the match blew it out and stuck the match into the top of my hand. The skin built up like it was melting wax. Now that I am an adult I am trying to make things work. I have tried to pay for school on my own for years now having to take loans out every now and then. Getting not the greatest scores in school because I have to work to provide for myself and not getting any help. Even when I have asked. I should clarify my mom paid for a semester of books for me. My parents for some reason feel they need to help my two middle siblings and not the oldest or youngest, I don't understand. I have gone through a couple jobs. I had a job a few years ago that was helping me stay fairly stable and I lost it due to lay offs. I got into a financial hole then since my family wouldn't help and I had a hard time finding a job, and I enrolled in school. Since then I have been working a seasonal job that helps bring in half the bacon. Trying to get myself out of the hole slowly. The last couple years I have been trying to get out of the seasonal job, getting a job year round. Its been hard though since people won't hire me thinking I will be going back to the seasonal job. I collected unemployment the last two years in the off season, so I could make ends meat and try to finish school. Just last Friday the State is trying to get me for insurance fraud. So I have to fight that now too. This spring my car died and the only way to get around was bike or bus, I mostly rode my bike in 100 + weather. Since the bus schedule didn't work with my schedule. I saved a little money and bought and old motorcycle. Now that is starting to cost me more and more $, to keep it running. I have been trying to save money so I can by a car at an auction or something and everything keeps piling up, it feels like. I have to drop my one class this semester so I am better able to buy a vehicle so I can at least get myself to work. If I can find a job. When will things get better? When can I quit fighting so hard? When will my family help me? I am tired there are days I just want to give up. I just need to try harder.

We have a family of three. Me, my husband and our six year old beautiful, beautiful son. I'm studying to become a bioanalysist and my husband is studying to become a computer engineerer. We are currently very poor and I'm ashamed of begging but I know that someday I will be able to pay back to the society!

I am trying to move to Australia to study International Business at Bond University where my full tuition for the duration of my degree will be $14,420 per semester. I am going to move there with my girlfriend whom I intend to marry. She is an Australian citizen who's mother took her and four brothers from their close knit family when she was seven years old to move in with an alcoholic man who was to become her stepfather. Within the first week of moving to the states and in with the man they children had never before met, he began sexually abusing her. This would continue to happen multiple times a week for six years. She kept it a secret because he threatened to kill her if she told anyone. When she was eleven years old she told one of her friends whose mother reported this to the authorities. She was then taken to a safe house and after a few weeks and his denial of doing so, her mother told her that she was a liar and that her stepfather did no such thing. As if such a young girl could describe so vividly such horrible acts. After moving back into the house and being told by her mother that she was a liar, he continued to molest her for another two years. He also physically and emotionally abused her and her brothers. She finally moved out of her house her senior year and moved in with my mother who unfortunately grew up in a very similar environment (I found out about both their pasts about a month apart from each other). My girlfriend having been estranged from her Australian family and being forced to live in an abusive household for years, only knowing her mothers word to be the truth, was able to reunite with her Australian family this past December. Her mother had told her that their family over in Australia was corrupt and they all hated each other, and that they were generally bad people. She had also been emailing the family about what how horrible her kids were and that my girlfriend was a loose young girl doing an assortment of drugs, all of which was false as she had been with me the last year and we don’t indulge in such acts being that I’ve had relatives O.D. and her stepfather is an alcoholic. When her Australian family came to Disneyland they called her up and she was able to go visit them for their two-day stint in California. She was able to find out just how wrong what she had grown up knowing to be truth was. The family that supposedly hated each other was on an 18 day family vacation involving 13-15 hour flights each way with 12 people ranging from grandparents to grandkids. Obviously they don't hate each other or they wouldn't take such a trip. They were not corrupt, but hard working honest people consisting of two police officers, a brother and brother-in-law who were partnering in an entrepreneurial endeavor and the others working for the family engineering firm. My girlfriend has been seeing a therapist who has helped her in to begin recovering from the psychological damage. She has also been establishing a very healthy and happy relationship with her Australian relatives via the Internet and phone calls. Her uncle has offered to pay for her throughout college if she goes to university there as top schools cost a mere six thousand dollars for citizens. She is weary of going because she does not want to leave me as I have a played a big part in helping her find the strength to leave her abusive family and getting her in touch with my mother who has been the best motherly figure she could possibly have. I want her to go as I know how much having her family means to her. Seeing how happy she has become at the thought of reuniting with her family as well as seeing her father who she has not seen or talked to for 11 years, I know in my heart that she needs to go. As you could imagine I do not want to leave her either and that is why I am trying to get myself over there. We plan to get married as soon as I can get into a career and be able to support her, she wants to sooner, but I wont until I can give her what I feel she deserves. As you can imagine, spending three to four years apart on almost literally opposite sides of the earth would be very emotionally stressful on the both of us and the last thing I want to do is to make her hurt anymore than what she has had to endure.
My plan is to move to Australia and attend Bond University where I will get a bachelors degree in International Business. Bond runs three semesters a year as opposed to the generic two semesters per year of most other colleges. This will allow me to finish my degree in two years. The cost of tuition will be $86,520 total equaling $14,420 per semester, which is the same as it would be at the University of Queensland, which is a public college as opposed to private. The cost of on campus living ranges from $640-$10,040 a month depending on what would be available. I have a road bike that I am going to use for local transportation and I plan to sell my car which KBB value is $13,000 and buy a motorcycle that I can ride for longer trips so I can save on gas. The remainder of the Car money will obviously go towards tuition. I am currently in school in California and trying to get a job while in school. As soon as this semester ends I am going to try for a job on the offshore oil platforms as they can make $1,500-$2,000 a week from what I have read. I plan to work that until September semester would start in Australia. That would give me between $13,500-$24,000 depending on what they pay and whether they use a one week off two week on or one week on one week off schedule. I plan to work while in school full time there. My family cannot afford to assist me as both of my parents are sales people and this economy has greatly reduced their incomes to barely paying the bills.

I do not usually do this type of thing but i have no other choice. I have recently raised $2,000 in the last four months by working overtime every night. I saw a beautiful KTM 450 2009 but it was used and it was 4000$. I called the bank for a loan and the teller denied my loan because I have a very nice car on my credit and the bike was used.
