Hello,

I'm trying to start a small bicycle repair shop and I'm looking for anyone that can give me some start-up money. The money will be used mainly for tools as they are extremely expensive since they're specialty tools. The remainder of the money will help pay rent for a small garage I found where I'd be able to do my work. Anything helps really, but all together from my estimates I'll need close to $3,000. I'm in one of the biggest financial problems i've come across in my lifetime. I'm a 22 year old student in the second year of university.

I recently got sacked from my job in the new year and have been searching high and low for the past month for a new one with no success after many rejections and interviews.

It's got to a stage now where I can't even afford the bills and rent for my housing this coming month and if not I will have to abandon my studies.

I haven't even eaten any food in days as I can't even afford that, it also doesn't help some little child has thought it amusing to cut the brake wires on my bicycle meaning I know can't even travel around !

This is all after the fact I can't even afford medical care anymore that I require to help keep me in good health as I can't even afford my prescriptions anymore.

Any help and any amount would be a god send and I would never be able to thank you enough !

Hello. My name is Ruth and I have a gorgeous 4 yr old daughter, Isabel. Since before Christmas Isabel has been promised a bicycle (her 1st) for her birthday which is on 16th February. Since then however, our landlord wanted his house back and we have had to move into a new house, and now I have no money left at all for any birthday presents, let alone a bicycle, and every time Isabel mentions it, it breaks my heart because she is going to be SO upset on her birthday. Three months ago my husband beat me and left me to be with his stripper girlfriend, leaving me with a teenage daughter, unemployed, and no way to pay the bills. I am now about to have my car reposessed and possibly lose my home due to being behind on my mortgage payments. My daughter just got a part-time job but it's only seasonal, she'll have no way to get there without a car. There is no work in the town where I live, if I can get a bicycle I may be able to get a job in another town, but in the meantime I need help to get caught up on the car payment and mortgage so we don't lose everything and end up in a homeless shelter. $1,000.00 would be enough to get the car payment caught up, or $500.00 for the mortgage. Once we are both employed and have transportation we will be OK, but right now are in danger of losing everything. My daughter cries every night because of what her Dad has done to us.Please, Please help. We have no family to support us through this crisis.Thank you for anything you can do for us.

I'm a good person who desperately needs a helping hand. I need $5000 to get back on my feet and be in a position to carry myself again and be back in the position to help my family. I've lost everything due to too many misfortunes in a row. I couldn't afford my car so I gave it away to a needy family. I could of sold it for a $1000 and help myself but that's not the way my heart works. I now ride a bicycle, but no one takes me serious riding a bike to a job. I have been ran off the road and had bottles thrown at me as I rode along the road. It stinks but I must do what I have to. I ride 25 miles round trip to volunteer at an animal shelter.
All my life I've thought about and helped others. In the past months I've really had some bad luck with finding work. I am now facing being homeless and barely can put food on the table.

It takes allot for me to ask for help, but I did. I went around to all my friends and family before considering asking strangers here on the internet. I have the greatest bunch of friends and family but they are in no position to help me. It hurts me to even be in this position and the mental weight is taking it's toll.

I'm used to being the person who gives out the help. I feel embarrassed but have none to ask for this kind of help. Being a Dad I feel I'm failing and it's killing my heart not to be able to be their for others like I used to be when I had work.

I've been praying to the Lord that he brings me help. $5000 would turn my life around. Your generosity can give me a new lease on life and put me in a position where I can carry myself again and get back to helping others. $5000 will help me catch up on back rent, pay some bills, buy some food and buy a car so I can help my family again. I'm asking for a miracle. I know many people look down on those asking for help. They think were lazy or it's a scam. My name is Mike, I'm 22 years old, and have been living independently for the last 5 years. My parents kicked me out of the house as soon as I graduated high school. I went to college and graduated with a bachelor's degree last spring. Since graduation, I have not been able to find any work anywhere, from janitorial to fast food. I've had to sell off my possessions one by one to avoid losing the roof over my head, including a family heirloom left to me by my grandfather that can never be replaced, and my car (I get around on a bicycle). I'm out on the streets every day searching for anything I can do to make enough to stay fed. Currently, I'm in debt with my landlord in excess of $1500, which is about 3 months rent.

My parents are not a feasible option, as they have disowned me. I have no one else, so here I am, literally on my knees (I have no furniture), praying that someone who cares will see this and help me to not only get back on my feet, but also to help me restore my faith in the goodness of humanity.

Hi everyone. At this point I'm unemployed for a DUI charge I got last year and I haven't been able to find a job since November. I take responsibility for the charge and I know it is my fault, but it's the first time I have ever been arrested for anything, and it's ruining my life. I'm on probation so I have to pay for my court fees this Thursday or I will go to jail for violation of probation. I don't even have any food to eat. My light bill is past due 2 months and is now $563.09. I called them and asked if I could pay half now to keep them on but they told me I must pay the full balance by June 1 or they will disconnect me regardless. I also have to pay my cable bill which is 170$ that includes the internet and phone which gives me the ability to job search online and receive calls through my home phone. The light bill is the priority for me though, I will go out and ride my bicycle to find jobs, but I still don't have enough money to pay it. I'm most likely going to be evicted on the 1st because I can't pay the rent, but I would at least like to keep the lights on so I have a minute chance of finding a job. I will accept any donations, $1, whatever you can generously donate. I am really desperate. I usually hate to ask people for anything, but I guess I am above pride at this point. My name is Ashley and I'm a sophomore in college. I hate blogging but I figured I should type something up to tell you guys a little about me and my fund. Obviously, whatever I raise here will go straight to my college tuition. As you all may know college is expensive. I hate that you pretty much have to go IN debt with student loans and such, in order to better yourself so that you can get a nice career. It's all a fucked up system and unfortunately it's unavoidable.

Any contributions are very much appreciated- no matter if you send $1 or $100. I know the economy sucks and many people's finances are tight. Gas prices are reaching $5.00 and above. What kind of shit is that?! I predict a huge boom in bicycle sales this summer.

What I also predict is a lot of negative feedback about this. I am already anticipating getting spammed with hate emails. They'll probably sound similar to this: "Why don't you try going out and finding a job? What makes you think you deserve free handouts? YOU SUCK!" blah blah blah... go ahead and hit me with all of those punches. I won't blame you... I know how frustrating it can be to see someone get a little help while doing absolutely nothing while others are out there putting in concrete effort, struggling, making things happen. My response to all of that is, I love the internet. Do you know why I love the internet? Because anything goes. Make your own little chip in page. Do what I'm doing for yourself.

I know my goal of $10,000 is pretty out there but my rationale for this is that- there are billions of millions of thousands of hundreds of people in the world. If 10,000 people could manage to get to this page and donate just $1 each then boom, goal reached. We'll see...

SHE SUED US AND WE ARE TO PAY $19,000.00. WE UNDERSTAND THE LIABLILITY BUT THIS PERSON IS VERY WEALTHY. WE TRIED TO EXPLAIN THAT WE HAVE NO MONEY LIKE THAT AND OFFERED PAYMENTS FOR HER MEDICAL BILLS ETC.. SHE SUED US ANYWAY....WE WERE ORDERED TO MAKE 1 INSTALLMENT OF $6,000.00 IN MARCH 2011 WHICH WE DID MAKE IT WAS OUR DAUGHTER COLLEGE MONEY AND THE ONLY SAVINGS WE MANAGED TO HAVE. I am not the needy in far-away Africa or India. I am the needy of America and I need help right away.

My name is Levi and I have turned to asking for donations on the Internet as a last resort. I have lost my income, have no savings at all, no property, no assets, vehicle, etc. I have a mental disability which has hindered me from keeping / finding jobs. My combination of Asperger's Syndrome, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and ADHD have had a potent effect on my ability to keep a job, resulting in my being dismissed from around 3 dozen jobs in the 12 years that I have been working. I am applying for social security disability benefits and IF I qualify (which I will probably not), then it will be 4-5 more months until I start to receive benefits. I do not want my body to be found laying in a ditch somewhere so please give me the money I need to pay my bills for at least these several months.

I'm 31, live in Lynnwood and this is my first time posting to ask for money. But now without any income or people to ask for help, worst case scenario is that I will die on the streets. Next best scenario is that I will lose everything and get a bunk in a homeless shelter. But I have been quite happy to have my own apartment and my own furniture for the first time in my life.
