$700 loan, will pay back $1000 on the 10th of June

Posted by arox2389 on 2012-05-10 16:58:40

I am a graduating college senior in a bit of a financial predicament.

1. I still don't have my cap and gown. I had one, but my car got stolen and I stupidly hadn't taken it out yet, and when I got my car back it was gone. That's $89.

2. My family is coming for graduation. No one has any money, and I just want to pay for their hotel for one night so they can see me graduate. I'm the first in my family to graduate from a major university, that's $100.

3. I would love to cook a huge meal for my friends and family while they are here for my graduation. I could work wonders with just another $100.

4. My bank account is overdrawn. If it doesn't get paid in two weeks, then I can't get my financial aid from my new graduate program I'm starting in a few weeks. Its my only bank account and I won't qualify for another one because I've made some major financial mistakes while in college. Its $75 overdrawn.

5. My phone bill is due in 6 days. To avoid service interruption, I have to pay 2 months worth of the bill, since I'm behind one month. The full amount due is $175.00.

6. I was lucky enough to find an apartment I can live in for really cheap for the summer, until my full time job I just got starts and I get my financial aid from my program. The deposit for the apartment is $150, and I have the rest of May absolutely free and can even pay the rent of June when I get my financial aid from my grad program.

7. The last 11 dollars is just to have something in my pocket, since I seriously do not have any money.

I know there are probably more beggars on this site than donors, but I figured it was worth a try. This is why I need the money. If you send me $700 via paypal, I will delete this ad and send you $1000 back on the 10th of June. Guaranteed.

Donations needed for starting a deaf school in Mexico.

Hi, My name is Ana Lindsey. I have a vision to start a school for the deaf kids in Mexico. I need $10 million dollars for all the supplies and learning materials. I am a teen, who wants to help children learn better. The deaf kids in Mexico are very illiterate. Many of them grow up to be beggars, and they have no hope for their future. Please help me make their future better by providing education for them. Any donations would be very appreciated and a million thank yous to those who donate to my cause for the 2 million deaf kids in Mexico.

Family of5 in a motel room

Posted by needyfamily609 on 2012-02-05 23:58:37

To Whom It May Concern:

My name is Jean and I am a mother of three. I am married to William, for 4 years and we are NJ natives. I am a caregiver for my 60 year old mother who was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Failure in January of 2011.

In June of 2010 my mother came from Michigan to live with me with the intention of helping me and my husband by watching our children during our working hours. My husband and I both work very long hours, and the children would have been required to spend long periods of time alone. So my mother came to help us fill the gap. In October of 2010, my mother’s health took a turn for the worse and it was continually getting worse as the year progressed. By January of 2011 my mother was unable to stand for any length of time and was always short of breath.

On February 10th I admitted my mother to the emergency room @ ACMC/Mainland. She was immediately diagnosed with kidney failure. She was admitted to ICU and on February 12th she had a cardiac arrest, due to toxic levels of magnesium, in her system. My mother suffered a sustained brain injury and to this day has a deficit she will have to live with forever. This deficit has taken away her ability to drive, live on her own, or be without some type of supervision.

My family suffered an extreme financial crisis that is ongoing and increasingly more devastating. I was out of work on FMLA for 8 weeks without pay. I was given $1200 in disability payments. I was allowed back to work, but with a significant decrease in pay and a change of position.

We have fallen behind in our bills in a catastrophic way. It seems the more we pay the more we owe. In fact, for the last week we have been without running water. Our gas has been off for three weeks and we use that for hot water, heat, and cooking. Our bank fees for the month of September have been astronomical (well over $400) for NSF charges and Service fees. This is just spiraling out of control. The children attend a local charter school and Pleasantville High school. Each child only has one pair of shoes and one uniform because I can’t get ahead of the curve to get them additional ones. The little ones need their school logo embroidered on the uniforms but that cost more than the shirt did.

We feel helpless and without some type of help we will continue to be a homeless family of six. We are currently living in a motel on the edge of our town. This is a pay by the hour type of place but it is the only place that will charge us by the week and will allow one of use to sleep on the floor. We are soliciting any type of help you can give. Please be mindful that we are hard working members of society. We have been working since we got out of high school. We are not beggars and we are willing to give back in the form of community service.
All I know is that we need help! Immediately or we’ll be past saving!
Thank you,
Jean Elam

At my wits' end.

I need help. :( I've never done anything like this before--and I never thought that I'd have to. But desperate times call for desperate measures I suppose...

First of all, thank you for clicking in; I truly do appreciate it. I'm having some financial difficulty, and it's putting me under a lot of stress. I'm a single 24-year-old female, and I'm a university grad. However, I certainly don't feel like one. I've been unable to find a job since I graduated two years ago. I studied Social Science--I'll never make that same mistake again. Just recently, for the past couple of weeks, I've been working a minimum wage retail job for 10 hours a week. I'm grateful that I, at least, have something for now. I just wish that it was enough to fend off my student loan payments, credit card bills (which have long since been cancelled), bus/transportation fares (I don't have a car), a bank account, which always seems to be in deficit, and whatever else decides to pop up and torment me. I've decided to go back to school again next September and attend college, with hopes that I'll be better able to land a good job. I'll rack up more student debt, but if it means that I'll be able to stand on my own two feet again, then I'll do it. But for now, I need a bit of help to get by.

I understand that beggars can't be choosers, so I'm not going to specify a certain amount that I need. But anything that you are willing to spare will be greatly appreciated; every little bit counts. Once I'm secure in my life and in my finances, I've made a promise to myself to come back to websites, like these, to donate to others who also need a helping hand. I think it's wonderful that such people, who are at the end of their ropes, have a place to turn to. It's encouraging.

Again, I thank you for clicking in and taking the time to read this. Best wishes to you and your loved ones, and do take care.

I need gas money for a new job

Posted by Rainkeeper on 2011-10-16 18:58:18

Hello

I have been homeless for 4 weeks due to a lost of employment in August.

I will be starting a part-time job (something to keep me going until I find a full-time position) and my gas tank is VERY low.

I just need anywhere from $50-$70 to get me through the first week of employment.

I will settle for a lower amount as well, beggars can't be choosers lol.

Please consider, I am near Westchester, IL. Thank you in advance.

I Have another post on here, noone has responded with any donations.

Our electricity went out this morning. By the grace of God the weather has become cooler. Our food will parish in less than a day though. We are hand washing clothing in the bathroom sink, bathing and showering in cold water. Sitting in a dark house.

We only have until Monday at the latest to stay here. We can not come up with the rent. Not part of it the way charities want. Every organization I call apologize and tell me that they are out of funds to come back next month. Next month it will be too late. There is no where else to turn. Except to begslist.org. this internet site is our only chance at the moment. We are not beggars. Just people who became down on there luck in our bad economy. There are people like us, even a lot worse than us. We are not asking for the world, just enough to get us back on our feet. Enough to pay the back rent, the power bill and gas bill.

We do not have any money right now, however when times are better, believe me I know things will turn around, we will pay it forward to a family in need. Not just one, several families in dire need. We are not so selfish to realize when our situation improves not to help out our fellow man, woman and child. We will pay it forward 100%.

Please help a small family over come a dire crisis. Please donate what you can, every $1.00 adds up.

Thank you and God Bless,

Liza

Just an online begger who 'ain't too proud to beg'!

Posted by AintToProudToBeg on 2011-01-28 08:58:58

I'm not just begging for money and giving nothing in return, I have created a slightly entertaining cyber panhandling site, AintToProudToBeg.com, you can visit and read through to give to give to our online group of beggars if you feel like it. We're not on the street or anything but we could use some extra walking around money if you feel like sparing it and you find our online begging presentation worthy of buck! You can go to www.AintToProudToBeg.com or just use the Paypal email listed here! It never hurts to ask!

In desperate need for just a little help buying groceries.

Posted by Burket on 2010-08-26 12:58:58

My name is Arianna, I am a single 26 year old who is living with my mother. We have fallen on very tough times and we have nowhere else to turn to for any kind of help. We live on $500 a month, and are not even making ends meet because all of our bills are due, and we do not have enough money to buy groceries- we have been living on top ramen for the past month. If we pay our bills, we have no money for groceries or to put gas in the car. If we buy groceries and gas, then we don't have enough money to pay the bills.

As I have said, it is just my mother and I. We have no one at all to turn to for help in any way, as my grandmother has been dead for seven years. I am single, as is my mother. We have no friends where we are now, because we have not been in Arizona long enough to meet and make friends with anyone. Please do not think that Mom and I haven't tried to do anything- we have tried applying for every job that we are capable of doing, but we have had no luck whatsoever. We aren't useless, we aren't helpless, selfish, or beggars.

We're just down on our luck, and in need of some assistance. If there is anyone out there, anyone at all that would be able to help with anything at all, I would be very grateful
