When I was younger, I was lucky enough to be around when my parents were together, had money, and doing okay-ish (granted we were still living in a horrid environment, but I still have my Barbie Talkin Town House!). My brother, who has many mental/speech issues, has not experienced Christmas but 1 in his 9 years. Dad went to nursing home w/ multiple sclerosis, mom had to run business in dangerous neighborhood, meanwhile our apartment nearby got taken because the contract expired...basically, for the next few years we financially got worse and worse. Even now, our 'stable home' is to be foreclosed.
Anyway, all I ask for is Christmas presents for him. He's a boy, so obviously guy stuff. He loves the lion king, remote control things, anything with animals. Please, please make this little boy's Christmas.

This blog will devote an honest story about a very brave woman who throughout his life only knows the grief, pain and suffering ... my mother ... a few years ago, after a tragic accident and my father's death, even as an underage girl remained alone with her mother .. my mother is a really generous person, a person with a big heart full of love .. Given that we are after father's death, the other two of us, mother coped through life as they knew only that the two of us survived, and not to be found on the street .. She has worked in a company as a cleaner and thus earning money to pay the loan, and directing the money from which we live ... his mother a few months ago lost her job because she is on her left lung cancer was observed, and no longer able to work ... and is unable to pay the loan which was raised to buy some small piece of land on which we ourselves have made a small cottage in which we live now ... We have not had a man at home I remember that we are hungry, frostily operated and participated in building the house ... but the mother was always brave and hoped that it will get better tomorrow, cold nights comforted me, hugged and talked to all problems in one go , that we will one day live a normal life like everyone else .. when I saw a child playing with a beautiful, new toys, and after a few hours and toys throw it away, I would be sad, because my mother had money to buy me one, but this would give me the rules of the old pieces of doll clothes with which to play and comforted me by saying that we will one day buy the most beautiful Barbie doll ... thanks to her, I could not, even though she wanted, because he barely collected money to cover costs and bills that are coming every month. It's true mother did not earn enough to be able to start work on the house, so she decided while she had a job to raise a loan and to all health .. and better if it had never picked up, because now I see how in the dark room, because we do not have electricity that we excluded because of debts and a pair of unpaid bills sitting and crying, they drink a large quantity of pills that was kept alive, but not for long .. :((( is a look I know I can not help her .. just know that every month come new unpaid accounts, the rate loans more expensive, and we have no where to be back soon ... we expect that we will get someone from the bank, knock on doors and telling us that we move from our modest home by his mother with a lot of sweat, blood spilled and made ... .. I'm stuck because I'm his best friend and her parents asked him to allow me access to their computer and internet so I spoke to all those people who understand me for at least a little help ... because I know that somewhere in the world there are people of good heart that will help us .. I am sure of it ... that would pay off our debts, we have nothing to sell, but we only hope that all those who understand us in any way that could help us ... believe that we welcome and donations of clothes, medicines, money ... and also I'm sure all of you in your closet has at least one piece of clothing that does not carry, I believe that each of you every day because of money buying things that you never need, and believe that this money is welcome and anyone a bar for what little life he was much else in life, made you happy .. please do not judge me, do not make fun of this by my painful story, because I really do not know how to watch someone so dear to you and not be able to help him ... the only thing I want, and my greatest desire that I have is to see that beautiful smile on her mother's face, which has long since disappeared, because they are occupied by a pretty face problems, worry, hunger, misery and poverty, illness ... I believe that you or Written the smallest part of one of sadness and pain that we passed along, we pass by every day .. do not blame your mother that has raised loans in the bank that we can not repay, because if it did not raise never would have had nowhere to spend the night ... now just know that we were God is determined by birth and who will allocate which belong to the Society of bed .. just do not know what all the bad things in life happen to good people, why all the misery, disease, sorrow, suffering, going to good people? What are they deserve ... but I still have faith in God and you my dear .. and if someone in any way can help us..:((((((((((((((((

I am a 19 year old girl living in New York. I am not overweight but a little chubby. I am extremly self conscious. I could deal with my chubbiness if only it was distributed more evenly throughout my body. Instead my fat seems to be all in my butt and thighs. I have tried everything. I have been dieting and exercising since I was 11 years old.Even when I loose weight through dieting and exercising the weight in my butt and thighs is stubborn and will not go away. When I was 16 I even got so desperate that I starved myself by using a friends amphetamines to curb my appetite. Even then the fat remained. I have not worn a bathing suit since I was 12 because I hate how I look even one pieces. I hide my fat by wearing baggy clothes. Because of my unusually large butt I have trouble finding jeans that fit right. Small sizes won't fit over my butt and zipper closed and larger sizes fit over my butt but are much too large at the waist. My jeans always look stupid on me so I wear large long shirts to cover it up.I currently work two jobs. One as a cashier at a dollar store and the other cleaning at a large shoe store. I am saving all of my current earnings to buy a car. As of now I walk to and from work. So please help me if you can. Every penny helps. I'm not looking to use liposuction and plastic surgery to turn into some "perfect" barbie doll. I would just like to be able to wear normal clothes again.

We are hoping that someone may be able to help us provide a few Christmas gifts for our children. They are ages 2 and 4, both girls. They love toy story, dora, princess, barbie, baby dolls and anything girly. My girlfriend and I both were laid off from our jobs in May and have had no luck finding any work. The unemployment which is about to run out, is barely enough to pay the bills, leaving no money for food or anything extra. After some excited brainstorming we came up with the idea to open our own “not for profit” no kill rescue. Hence the name “Kandi Boo Rescue” came about.

As of right now I am driving a 2006 Dodge Caravan which I cannot transport animals in, the traveling pet carriers are too large to fit into a mid size van.

We would like to ask you to get involved and donate a beater truck for transportation to these high kill animal shelters to our local veterinarians that are donating their services to help heal these animals so they can be re-homed to loving families.

There are also times that we have to transport an animal to a foster family in the event the center is full to capacity.

We rely solely on donations, “no cash donations”, hence the need to go directly to the source for the donations that we need.

As this is a “not for profit” rescue center your donation would be 100% tax deductable.

Our family and dear friends “Lindsey Mlekush” & Amanda Hein have been donating food, time, medical supplies, under ground fencing, blankets , pillows, tarp everything you can imagine a helpless animal needs to numerous rescues throughout Georgia for quite sometime now. We are always looking for the best way we can help these helpless animals.

After some excited brainstorming we came up with the idea to open our own not for profit rescue. Hence the name “Kandi Boo Rescue” came about.

Please allow me to offer some background into what inspired us to open Kandi Boo Animal Rescue.

We were informed, through corroborated stories of animal rescue volunteers of many unspoken tragedies that were suffered by the less fortunate animals at the local humane society. Notwithstanding the tireless endeavors and good intentions of the animal shelter, the fact remains that these facilities are unable to handle the increasingly heavy caseload of animals that are being rescued, abandoned or
relinquished every month - and unfortunately, the only option that many of these animals face is euthanasia.

After being made aware of the heartbreaking plight of these homeless animals, we feel
committed to do something to assist these no-kill animal rescue organizations, which are committed not only to educating the public about the issues of animal overpopulation, and offering of spay and neuter services to help address this problem, but also to finding foster or permanent homes for homeless animals, in lieu of euthanizing them. Our goal is to help defray some of their ongoing rescue-related costs: e.g., imminent medical care, food, sheltering, and follow-up vet visits (which include prescription costs).

Over the past few weeks, the media has given coverage to the heartbreaking plight of homeless animals – people are abandoning them left and right as they struggle to make ends meet.



The situation has become acute, and although taking measures to help
control the overpopulation of animals is important (through spay & neuter programs), our hearts lie with alleviating some of the current suffering of those animals already born that are unable to help themselves.

As a frequent donor to numerous charitable causes myself, I am sensitive to the fact that during this time of economic recession, it is most important to reach out and lend a hand to those less fortunate than myself, including the animals.
I myself own 4 former rescue dogs, Lindsey owns 2 former rescues and Amanda fosters animals from other No Kill Rescue Centers until they get adopted into their forever home.

Our last former “rescue”, who came to us, a very sweet, but timid guy, who rarely wagged his tail, and was too shy to display much affection. Now – “Sebastian” “referred to as “Mr. Wiggles” by some of his female fans) - is the estate’s ambassador of love, and a huge hit with our guests – especially the children.

It would be wonderful to offer a second chance at happiness to many more of these helpless animals who want nothing more but to be part of a loving home.

And so the dilemma begins.

We lease a 3 bedroom home on a very nice property…however the owner of the property will not give us permission to build kennels for the animals in the high kill facilities. And we are not in a position to buy a home as all of our extra income goes to care for these animals.

That is where you come in, we are graciously asking if you can donate a 3 bedroom mobile home and possibly a spot of land in the greater Savannah, GA area.
Either or is great, but if you could donate both we could get started allot faster in the building process.

Everything we receive is through donations, we don’t ask for cash donations in any way, shape or form. Materials for building the kennels, dog food Veterinarian vouchers for animals that need medical attention so on and so forth.

We are the parents of a 15 year old son with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and we also have full custody of our 6 year old grandaughter who was born with fetal alcohol syndrome.

Once we are up and running with the rescue we plan to incorparate Autistic children as well as children with other handicaps into our program.


Twice a month we will have the children come to the rescue and spend time with the animals, these 2 issues are very near and dear to our entire family and community.

Now – “Sebastian” “referred to as “Mr. Wiggles” by some of his female fans) - is the estate’s ambassador of love, and a huge hit with our guests – especially the children.

It would be wonderful to offer a second chance at happiness to many more of these helpless animals who want nothing more but to be part of a loving home.

And so the dilemma begins.

We lease a 3 bedroom home on a very nice property…however the owner of the property will not give us permission to build kennels for the animals in the high kill facilities. And we are not in a position to buy a home as all of our extra income goes to care for these animals.

That is where you come in, we are graciously asking if you can donate a 3 bedroom mobile home and possibly a spot of land in the greater Savannah, GA area.
Either or is great, but if you could donate both we could get started allot faster in the building process.

Everything we receive is through donations, we don’t ask for cash donations in any way, shape or form. Materials for building the kennels, dog food Veterinarian vouchers for animals that need medical attention so on and so forth.

We were informed, through corroborated stories of animal rescue volunteers of many unspoken tragedies that were suffered by the less fortunate animals at the local humane society. Notwithstanding the tireless endeavors and good intentions of the animal shelter, the fact remains that these facilities are unable to handle the increasingly heavy caseload of animals that are being rescued, abandoned or
relinquished every month - and unfortunately, the only option that many of these animals face is euthanasia.

As of right now I am driving a 2006 Dodge Caravan which I cannot transport animals in, the traveling pet carriers are too large to fit into a mid size van.

We would like to ask you to get involved and donate a beater truck for transportation to these high kill animal shelters to our local veterinarians that are donating their services to help heal these animals so they can be re-homed to loving families.

There are also times that we have to transport an animal to a foster family in the event the center is full to capacity.

We rely solely on donations, “no cash donations”, hence the need to go directly to the source for the donations that we need.

Over the past few weeks, the media has given coverage to the heartbreaking plight of homeless animals – people are abandoning them left and right as they struggle to make ends meet.



The situation has become acute, and although taking measures to help
control the overpopulation of animals is important (through spay & neuter programs), our hearts lie with alleviating some of the current suffering of those animals already born that are unable to help themselves.

As a frequent donor to numerous charitable causes myself, I am sensitive to the fact that during this time of economic recession, it is most important to reach out and lend a hand to those less fortunate than myself, including the animals.
I myself own 4 former rescue dogs, Lindsey owns 2 former rescues and Amanda fosters animals from other No Kill Rescue Centers until they get adopted into their forever home.

Our last former “rescue”, who came to us, a very sweet, but timid guy, who rarely wagged his tail, and was too shy to display much affection. Now – “Sebastian” “referred to as “Mr. Wiggles” by some of his female fans) - is the estate’s ambassador of love, and a huge hit with our guests – especially the children.

It would be wonderful to offer a second chance at happiness to many more of these helpless animals who want nothing more but to be part of a loving home.

And so the dilemma begins.

We lease a 3 bedroom home on a very nice property…however the owner of the property will not give us permission to build kennels for the animals in the high kill facilities. And we are not in a position to buy a home as all of our extra income goes to care for these animals.

That is where you come in, we are graciously asking if you can donate a 3 bedroom mobile home and possibly a spot of land in the greater Savannah, GA area.
Either or is great, but if you could donate both we could get started allot faster in the building process.

Everything we receive is through donations, we don’t ask for cash donations in any way, shape or form. Materials for building the kennels, dog food Veterinarian vouchers for animals that need medical attention so on and so forth.

There are also times that we have to transport an animal to a foster family in the event the center is full to capacity.

We rely solely on donations, “no cash donations”, hence the need to go directly to the source for the donations that we need.

As this is a “not for profit” rescue center your donation would be 100% tax deductable.

Over the past few weeks, the media has given coverage to the heartbreaking plight of homeless animals – people are abandoning them left and right as they struggle to make ends meet.



The situation has become acute, and although taking measures to help
control the overpopulation of animals is important (through spay & neuter programs), our hearts lie with alleviating some of the current suffering of those animals already born that are unable to help themselves.

As a frequent donor to numerous charitable causes myself, I am sensitive to the fact that during this time of economic recession, it is most important to reach out and lend a hand to those less fortunate than myself, including the animals.
I myself own 4 former rescue dogs, Lindsey owns 2 former rescues and Amanda fosters animals from other No Kill Rescue Centers until they get adopted into their forever home.

Our last former “rescue”, who came to us, a very sweet, but timid guy, who rarely wagged his tail, and was too shy to display much affection. Now – “Sebastian” “referred to as “Mr. Wiggles” by some of his female fans) - is the estate’s ambassador of love, and a huge hit with our guests – especially the children.

It would be wonderful to offer a second chance at happiness to many more of these helpless animals who want nothing more but to be part of a loving home.

And so the dilemma begins.

We lease a 3 bedroom home on a very nice property…however the owner of the property will not give us permission to build kennels for the animals in the high kill facilities. And we are not in a position to buy a home as all of our extra income goes to care for these animals.

That is where you come in, we are graciously asking if you can donate a 3 bedroom mobile home and possibly a spot of land in the greater Savannah, GA area.
Either or is great, but if you could donate both we could get started allot faster in the building process.

Everything we receive is through donations, we don’t ask for cash donations in any way, shape or form. Materials for building the kennels, dog food Veterinarian vouchers for animals that need medical attention so on and so forth.

We are the parents of a 15 year old son with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and we also have full custody of our 6 year old grandaughter who was born with fetal alcohol syndrome.

Once we are up and running with the rescue we plan to incorparate Autistic children as well as children with other handicaps into our program.

Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate cats and dogs that are on the high kill list for euthanasia, treating their illness if any and placing homeless animals into safe and loving homes, and not toward administrative costs.

Our family and dear friends “Lindsey Mlekush” & Amanda Hein have been donating food, time, medical supplies, under ground fencing, blankets , pillows, tarp everything you can imagine a helpless animal needs to numerous rescues throughout Georgia for quite sometime now. We are always looking for the best way we can help these helpless animals.

After some excited brainstorming we came up with the idea to open our own not for profit rescue. Hence the name “Kandi Boo Rescue” came about.

relinquished every month - and unfortunately, the only option that many of these animals face is euthanasia.

As of right now I am driving a 2006 Dodge Caravan which I cannot transport animals in, the traveling pet carriers are too large to fit into a mid size van.

We would like to ask you to get involved and donate a beater truck for transportation to these high kill animal shelters to our local veterinarians that are donating their services to help heal these animals so they can be re-homed to loving families.

There are also times that we have to transport an animal to a foster family in the event the center is full to capacity.

We rely solely on donations, “no cash donations”, hence the need to go directly to the source for the donations that we need.

As this is a “not for profit” rescue center your donation would be 100% tax deductable.

Barbie Nemeth, Amanda Scearce & Lindsey Mlekush “co-founders” of Kandi Boo “No Kill” Rescue Center

I am happily married and disabled mother of 5. Our son, Angel, is turning 12 on Sunday, he is understanding that we will not be able to buy him anything but I would still like to try to get him something small. Our daughter Olivia will be turning 7 on July 29th. I would like to be able to buy her a Barbie that she has been asking for. It breaks my heart to even ask for help, and she knows we don't have money but I would still like to try. Our youngest, Isabella turns 5 on August 15th as well. Then school starts August 23rd. One thing after another that requires money that we do not have. We are a Christian family and when I have money I will pay it forward. My husband is looking for work, but without a vehicle he has had no luck finding something local. His unemployment was cut off while waiting for the extension to go through. I do not have a check because I am just starting the disability process. We live with my parents, and I know my mom is not able to help us anymore than they already have. Please help.
