Hello Everyone
I am a woman with cerebral palsy who is wheelchair-bound. I am looking for part-time employment. I have a bachelors of science in criminal justice. I also have some postgraduate training in public administration. I am looking for employment because I have to repay a $10,000 loan I took out my graduate education. Unfortunately I was unable to complete my graduate degree because I became ill. Now that I have recovered I would like to have steady work so that I can pay off my loan debt and hopefully once that is paid off return to school so I can fulfill my lifelong dream of helping military veterans have a better quality of life. Because of Medicaid restrictions I can only make $200 per month without losing my benefits. While I was in graduate school I worked alongside the veterans organization at my university where I performed budgeting and other administrative tasks. I have a resume available upon request. If you are interested in hiring me please e-mail me at donanausmc@gmail.com
Thank you for your time and consideration everyone
Sincerely Aydan

My future depends on finishing this associates degree

I saved up enough money for school but now it turns out I don't have money for living expenses. I get a work permit in November 2012, but by then I won't have any money for next year. The expenses for each of the two years is $17,000, and I saved up just for one year. I need help in making ends meet. I have been looking for work on campus and it's not working out since I was told to wait until August and September for cleaning jobs and restaurant jobs at the school. All the tutoring jobs I have applied for on campus have not materialized so far.

If I do not finish this school, it is over for me. I spent many years in the US in school since 2001, and it resulted in nothing because they didn't give me a work permit, and they did not allow me to stay.I got two bachelors degrees from there but since I did not have citizenship or a green card, I had to leave.

If I finish school here in Canada, I will get a three year work permit, and I can finally be useful to myself and my family. I need to pay back money that I owe my uncle for paying for my primary and secondary education back home in the third world. I need to educate, or at least pay for my niece and nephew who are orphaned to go to college. I need to take care of my sick mother, I have been unable to do that so far because I had to pay for my education in the US out of pocket.

I have other on going problems such as loss of sight in one eye but then that is something to be dealt with when I finally finish school, it is not as urgent as getting the money to pay for school. No matter how badly everything else is going, even with my mom being sick and my being unable to send her money for treatment, school comes first even though ideally it should not be that way.

I have been involved in community service for many years. I worked with DC Habitat for Humanity on a house construction project. I also worked with refugees from 2010 to 2011 before I had to leave the US, I was tutoring English through International Rescue Committee. I am currently working with the Food Bank where I am, and over summer since I will have no on campus jobs, I plan on getting more volunteer jobs so I can give back to the community. Canada has given me so much, a chance at self improvement, so it's only natural that I want to say thank you to this great country.

I am not scared of working, infact when I was in the US I worked full time while going to school full time. I do not want to violate the student visa here in Canada because Canada is a kind country for immigrants and they will definitely give me the work permit come November 2012, as long as I do not work illegally before then.

I am planning to move out of my homestay right now and rent with schoolmates in order to minimize my expenses. I do not usually even eat things like meat, milk, eggs, all of which I do not like or I am allergic to. So I do know how to save money. I learned to live on very little while in the US so I need money to pay for my education so that I can maintain my student visa.

Please help, my family cannot afford to pay for my education, I do not have citizenship from a developed country to qualify for financial aid or scholarships, the scholarships from back home are mostly for those doing masters degrees and PhDs, I'm doing an associates degree right now. They also insist that you must not have already left the country before they give you the scholarship. I will be applying for scholarships in the schoool, and also some bursary from my government which might be only $500, and that is only if I can get someone back home to bribe someone in the Ministry of Education to get that bursary.

I have tried all ways to improve my life for many years, and this time education truly will be a key to improving my life. I am not a stranger to subjecting myself to medical experiments in order to earn more money to pay for school. I need help this time around, this is my last try at improving my future. Going back home will be a disaster since I do not have tall relatives (people with influence) to get me jobs. What's the point of my adding myself to the millions who are dependent on others for help?

Any amount which can be sent to my Paypal account will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi! I am currently a single mother of 2 preschool children. I left their father after 5 years of abuse. He was an alcoholic and had become addicted to meth. He signed our children away to his mother. My children were returned to me and I left state to be with my family. My family was unable to help me and sent me to a 3rd state shelter. That shelter was unable to help me due to such extreme needs. My 2 year old has special needs such as celiac disease, hearing impairment, developmental delays, and possible down syndrome. This adds to my stress greatly. I am currently attending school for my Bachelors in Science in Information Technology with a concentration Network Management. I am trying to get on my feet and keep getting knocked down. I need a car, home, and job. If you know of any city or town that would be able to help me get on my feet, please post here.

If you have a collage degree, house, bank account, good car, and a career: please help me. I have none of these things. I have no diploma. I had to get help to pay for a GED just recently, wish me luck on the test. I rent a single wide trailer that had mold problems and made my family sick. We are better now. The landlord ripped the shower and floors out and replaced everything. I am afraid of the mold coming back and making us sick again. I’m 26 and have no bank account. I tried to start one but couldn’t keep any money in it, because of how little I made in construction. My car doesn’t go into reverse and slips in first gear sometimes. I have no job because I was laid off three months ago when the job ended. I’ve been looking for jobs and filling out applications around my small city, but no one will call me back.

Let me tell you more about myself. I was two years old when my father was shot and killed in the big city. I grew up on welfare with my mother and grandmother. When I was seven we lost grandma’s house and began to move around a lot. When I was twelve, my grandmother died from being in a moldy house that we were renting. My mother moved to the country with her boyfriend and I followed shortly after. In school I was smart, but moving around everywhere was costly. I lost credit for a lot of hard work simply because the schools were on two different schedules. After living with my mom’s drunken boyfriend and having him beat on her, I dropped out of school to get a job in construction. I was able to make enough for us to rent our own place.

I married my high school sweetheart about a year ago. I had hoped that we would make a wonderful life together, but it’s proven to be very difficult. She did graduate and attend college; however, she did not finish her Bachelors degree. She has a little more than half a semester left, but we ran into some tax problems and she has not been able to go back and finish. Now she owes 6,000 in college dept and I owe thousands in back taxes. She has eyesight problems (coloboma) and can’t drive herself. She works with her mom cleaning houses and babysitting. I dream about being rich and successful, and making all our financial problems go away. I don’t see how that’s going to happen with all of our problems. I want to go to college and get a degree, but I need help getting on my feet. Please help me and my family realize our dreams of financial freedom.

America is one of the most charitable nations on earth, with lots of people that have been financially blessed. I read that there are 7.5 million millionaires in America, and I hope someone reading this is one of them. Please change my life forever with a big donation. I dream of being successful and using my money to help others who need it. I want to make a difference for good in this troubled world, but it’s hard to do when you can’t even help yourself.

I desperately need help

Hello, I need a little help. I have come to a point where I can no longer continue without financial help. I have a full-time job, but after paying child support with every paycheck, there is not much left. I currently attend school and look forward to getting my Bachelors this year; I am not looking forward to the student loans I will have to pay back. I also take care of my 83 year old mother.
I am drowning in my bills. I know if I get caught up I can manage from here on out. To add to my problems my car is starting to have problems. The last time I went to pick up my kids to spend time with them my car overheated. It has over 400,000 miles on it. I am luck that my mother qualifies for a lot of aids so she does not have to worry about medicine or seeing the doctor. I am hoping to get as close as possible to $10,000 to help get back on track. This can help pay for my past due bills and get a used car to take my mother to her doctor appointments and see my kids. Any donation will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Need help with Admission Fees..please

Posted by Yannagirl on 2012-01-19 09:58:16

Hi,and thank you for reading . I am here like many asking for help for college. All I am asking is help with admission fees at two colleges in Atlanta. I have had the dream of finishing my education for a while , but my fiances has always put that dream on hold. I am doing odd jobs, selling on e B a y , work from home jobs, online surveys just to make ends meet so paying for application fees for college is sort of out of my budget. I only ask for what you are able to give. I just want to make a better life for my daughter by receiving my Bachelors degree and getting a good career. thank you for those that viewed this and those who can help with anything.

quickly drowning and in need of financial help

Posted by hopefloats on 2012-01-02 16:58:12

My husband & I made the decision when our first child was born that I did not make enough money to pay for childcare. I began working full time as a nurses assistant, working shifts in the evenings and weekends so we would not have to pay for childcare. I since have had 2 more children, my youngest not of school age yet. Over the years I have suffered from multiple health problems, required many surgeries. We made it through those times and am very fortunate to be healthy now. However, that is when our debt started to accumulate. Over these years I have continued to work in health care while finishing my bachelors degree (graduated this May!) It was not easy but I felt it would help me to find a better paying job when I was ready to start my career. I couldn't have been more wrong. I lost my job in October as my client passed away. I have been unable to find a job. Hundreds of resumes sent and nothing has come from it. Student loans will need to be paid and unfortunately we are drowning in our day to day expenses. We even had to remove our children from their extracurricular activities as we could no longer afford them. I have been given no lucky breaks in life and have worked for everything I have-which isn't much. I hate asking for help- but desperate times call for desperate measures. This attempt may be a shot in the dark but any amount that you are able to donate would help more than I could ever explain. I will pay it forward when we are on our feet. Thank you for reading.

982.07 to go back to school

Posted by mama_meya on 2011-12-20 09:58:21

My name is Meya Acuna and I am writing you in hopes that you can (or lead me to someone who can help) help bring a Christmas miracle to pass! I am really putting my faith out here because this is something that I've never done before, but am in desperate need. I am a 30 yr old stay-at-home mother to a 4 yr old and 22 month old and am 5 months pregnant. Having turned 30 I have had a revelation that I am in need of continuing my education to not only help my family financially but to be an inspiration to my children who will one day wonder why I did not live my dreams and get a degree in education.

Over 10 yrs ago I began on the right track attending TCU for a semester but with no funds saved up for college it was soon apparent that I would not be able to finish. Much to my despair, I left Ft. Worth and began living out of my hurt by getting into drugs, lascivious living and just keeping bad company. It wasn't until I met my husband, a PK (or preacher's kid), that I realized what I was missing and that I did have hope and didn't have to carry around the shame and anger at not being able to finish school. I stayed home and worked while he got to go out and travel the world in a Christian band, living his dream while I helped to support us and when he got off the road we decided to begin a family. Well no one told us how hard that would be especially financially and I soon left work to take care of my children because the cost of daycare was too much for us (almost 1200 for the two of them!). My husband lost his job earlier this year due to a bad truck accident that left him needing two surgeries and us on public assistance. But we moved to Seguin and he was able to start work at TPS thank God. It doesnt pay all our bills but we are so thankful! We also moved back here to begin work on a ministry with a focus on our youth. We are big volunteers at our church, always making ourselves available to what needs to be done for not only our families but our community. Most recently we've assisted with our youth at the Daddy/Daughter Dance sponsered by the SPD and the Blue Santa wrapping days. It has been hard on just one income and in the past 2 years we have moved 5 times with our children finally settling in Seguin. I am from Austin and had never lived in a real community of people before. I love it here! Everyone speaks to everyone and it is not so rushed. I'm in awe of how a community is supposed to be! Parades, Holiday Strolls, wow!

This past two weeks we have done things we have never had to do before like seek help from Community Council and Salvation Army for utility assistance and visit the EATS food pantry. I'm thankful they were there but I just never thought in a million years I'd be needing those types of services. This is also what pushed me to go back to school. I need to do something bigger than me to feel that I've accomplished a legacy for my children. I won't let them suffer worry and fear the way we have recently. But I need help.

I'm pleading with you to please help me pay $982.07 to Texas Christian University before January 1st for a Loan that I owe. If I pay this loan off by then I will be free to attend a university with Federal funds to attend classes and began pursuing my Associates Degree in Early Childhood and ultimately a Bachelors in Education. I plan on getting a teaching certification and giving back to the community that helped me by working in a low-income school here and sharing my story through hard work that people helping people can make a difference in someone's life. Again, I'm not asking you for money for me or my family or Christmas presents or any "thing". I am looking to pay directly to TCU in Ft. Worth. None of the funds would go to me. I trust that what we need as a family my God will supply, because He has kept us this long and it's only going to get better. Please be a part of this transition out of a dry place into abundance. I'm humbling myself today by doing this and I trust that if you can or know someone who can, you will help me. Thank you for your time and consideration and I look forward to sharing a good report!

Recent graduate and times are tough

I am a recent graduate. I received my Bachelors in elementary ed, and because of the times and new regulations in the education world it is impossible to find a job. My loans are going to go into repayment soon, and with just a part time job I do not think I will be able to pay all of my bills and my loans as well. If you are able to help me I am extremely grateful for anything you can give; if not thank you for your time.

Need full makeover on my teeth

Posted by sportsitjunkie on 2011-12-05 21:58:41

Well where do I start. I just found this website earlier today. I am about to graduate in the spring of 2013 with a bachelors in Computer Science. I work a 9.00 an hour job through college and still currently hold this job, helps me pay for tutition/books etc. The problem I have that causes me severe self esteem problems that get worse and worse are my teeth. They are horrible and gross and are only getting worse. This causes me to be extremely anti social, when presentations are to be done in class I have to explain my situation to my professor and they typically allow me to do my presentation just to them. I have a huge problem going on interviews. As soon as I am done with school I am sure I will be going on a lot of interviews and want to be able to do this with confidence. I can't talk to a girls at all that is out of the question. I just want to have fresh teeth. It is not as bad as a lot of the stories on here but it really does seriously affect me. I have no dental coverage, I had to have emergency procedure done to have my wisdoms removed. They were so infected, I had let them go for so long and finally the pain began to be to unbearable. I went to the ER and now have about 1,000 in medical bills. I hope to pay this off in the future. I would really just like help having the work done on my mouth so I can feel confident again. The only thing that has gotten better is as I have gotten older is my fellow classmates do not abuse me for my teeth (as much) But my confidence is so in the gutter I can't even truly explain. So I am just looking for some assistance. I have a few places I can go to that do special procedures that cause me little pain and can give me a brand new mouth. I also do not qualify for any of the credit companies that would be able to help me. I know there are millions of people on here, if I could get 3,000 people to donate a dollar each I could probably cover the costs. I really appreciate it. Thanks.

I am a full time student and I work full time with people with developmental disabilities. For the past 3 years I have had serious medical problems that has cost me thousands of dollars and to add to that bought a used car that has been unproperly worked in that has also cost me money. I have never asked for money like this before and have nobody really that can help me out with my bills and tuition. I am barely making my bills on time and I am honestly wore down. If anyone could help me out with any amount of money I would appreciate it. I wish to continue my bachelors degree and donate to places and charities like these when I am established in life. I have a goal to continue to work with the families and the clients of people with developmental disabilities and help out in anyway that I can to payback for any help that I recieve. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Have a great day.

Tuition Troubles

Posted by mymya19 on 2011-11-10 19:58:12

I am a student who dreams of a really good education so that I can earn a degree that will allow me to serve and help others with it, but doesn't see a way of affording such a dream.

I went to a local community college since it was cheaper and now have my AA degree. Now all I want is for a chance to further my education, but I am afraid it will cost way more money than I have or am able to earn.

I had to take off this fall semester to help earn some money, but this will do little help. I can't spare much of my money because of this so I can't afford a car and I have to live with my parents and burden them with my needs. Time is short for me to gain more money so that I can pay for college this spring semester.

I am the first of my dad's side of the family to have ever attended college and one of the few to have a high school diploma. I want to make my family proud by going farther than they did in education.

My parents are much older than normally parents are for a young adult such as me, so they need to save as much as they can for a soon coming retirement. With their advanced age also comes health problems.  My mom has type two diabetes and my dad has severe joint problems and arthritis. These joint issues have forced him to undergo within the last two years a pricy hip replacement surgery and a knee surgery just so he can walk without being in severe pain and so he can continue working. The knee surgery will only temporarily help his knee, and so soon he will need his entire knee replaced as well. With these medical expenses and retirement for both of them in about 5 to 10 years, there's little money left for them to send a daughter off to a university.

I am very ambitious in wanting to someday earn a graduate degree when it is possible, but right now I have to be focused on somehow finding a way to pay for a Bachelors degree.

I refuse to give up my dream of going to a good university just yet, and have came here to beg anyone that reads this to please donate money to me so I can go to college. I was lucky enough to get into this university so please help me so that my dream of going there won't be shattered. I want to earn my degree that will allow me to work in the social service field so that I can help others someday.

I come begging now because I know I will have to beg later on down the road for even more money if I don't get help now to prevent me from taking out big student loans with their interest rates. I welcome any amount you wish to donate. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for your donations.
Hello,my name is Gary and I am 38,married with 4 awesome kids and I thought I would give this a try. I was laid off from my job as a satellite technician. Work is very scarce in Iowa where I live.I looked at all options and decided I would better myself by going back to college. I am a full-time student studying to get my bachelors in IT/Systems Administration. I have 3 girls 10,5,3 and a boy 5. I have exhausted all my savings and dont know what I am going to do.I have looked for work everywhere locally with no success. My wife stays with our youngest because daycare is too expensive.I feel so embarrassed because I try to hide this from my kids on the position I am in at this time. I believe that going back to school is the right thing to do but its a very hard struggle.I hate asking but if someone, anyone could help out in any way it would be so appreciated.Even if someone would know about a job online that would be great to.I can show pictures of my kids and my wife and I or talk with you over the phone.Any donations would be through paypal of course. Thanks so much for reading and god bless.

Need help to make ends meet, debt accumulating

Posted by Photolove23 on 2011-10-19 18:58:49

My husband & I try everything to make sure our sine has a safe and happy life. We have moved 3 times in the last 4 years for better jobs. Each time though with the costs for moving debt has accumulated on the credit card. My husband got his bachelors degree last year which he did while working full time + his military time. He is a hard worker but it seems like the $ runs out. I got a job this past year but I was barely making any $ after paying for daycare for our son. I left my job because my son was deveolping behavior problems and I was gone from the house 40 hours a week without much to show for it. On top of that, my father-in-law moved in with us from a different state, due to the fact he has been unemployed for almost 3 years and had to sell his house because unemployment ran out.
Things are just tight financially. Come to find out also 2 of our neighbors' homes were broken into this week so now we've been figuring if we can somehow afford a security system, which we can't.

We just need something to give. I'm trying to start a business but it takes time and $. If anyone can help it would really be appreciated.

I can’t believe my life has come to this. First and foremost, it is important to know that I am a hardworking, responsible individual. I love going to work every day as a child and family therapist knowing that I have the ability to help make positive changes in others’ lives. I also, for whatever reason, feel very uncomfortable asking for help. I don’t think I have ever asked anyone for financial help in my life, let alone a “donation”. I was always taught that if you want something…. YOU WORK FOR IT! I have had a job since I was 13 yrs old and it taught me to appreciate the value of the dollar and hard work. But what happens when you physically can’t? My values speak to who I was, who I am and who I want to be and why I am worthy of your help.
• Be respectful, giving, loving and kind to others.
• Treat others as you would want to be treated.
• First and foremost dedication to my family and friends
• If you want something, you have to work for it because nothing in life is free
• Work hard and you can achieve anything you set your mind to
• If you believe in something, be passionate about it
• Love what you do for work – Life is too short
• Do not be selfish, but selfless – be there or give to others as much as you can
Resilient for many years –struggling through a childhood of undiagnosed ADHD - low self esteem, disruptive and impulsive behaviors, poor attention, disorganization, ambivalence about making life decisions, flunking out of college my freshman yr at 18 yo (which led to me having to pay any subsequent schooling on my own), moving and attending a new school at the beginning of my 8th grade year with a scoliosis brace that had to be worn 23 hours a day, having major surgery at 14 yo and missing 3 months of my freshman yr. As an adult, moving from NJ to Ma away from my family who I was extremely close to due to a marriage that didn’t work, losing my father to cancer and watching him waste away in front of me and feeling helpless. I did return to school as an adult committed to helping others and figuring out my own insecurities. Over 7 yrs (25-32 yrs old) received my bachelors degree from Rutgers University with high honors and my masters in clinical social work from Columbia University also with honors.
I know what I am capable of and I know how much I have to give to others. But at this point in my life, I also need to be honest with myself about my physical limitations.
When I was 12 yo I was diagnosed with a severe case of scoliosis and had to wear a body brace for 1 ½ yrs. Bad timing, I guess… I had just moved and was starting my 8th grade yr in a new school. Two yrs later (1983) I had major reconstructive surgery (14 hours, in a body cast 6 mos, couldn’t ride in a car or sit for more than 15 mins a day for 3 mos) and my spine was fused from T3 to L4 – all at 14 yo! Over the years, my back problems were just “part of my life”. Now at 43 I am disabled and in need of another major surgery due to collapsed discs that are compressing the nerves in my lower back. The pain I endure is affecting my ability to sit, stand or walk to any period of time. I had to leave my last job as an outpatient therapist a couple of years ago due to my inability to commit to a schedule because of my pain. I have been taking pain pills, which I do not want to become addicted to and have worked out an arrangement with a caring chiropractor. Not to mention at work I have kids, teens and their families who depend on me to help them, some of who I don’t charge because they can’t afford it. So, my schedule is minimal, my bills are racking up and I continue to try to help people sometimes at my own expense (physical). I have no health insurance because I can’t afford it, I live in a 800 square foot apartment that I share and I drive a 1998 Nissan Maxima that has over 200,000 miles on it! I don’t have “things” because I don’t NEED material things. It kills me to ask for help, especially monetary. It’s hard for me to accept help but I have no problem giving, lending or helping other people. My friends say that I give “too much”, but I feel that if I have it to give or I can do something to help someone else be happier, less stressed or more comfortable than I will. And I’ve been taken advantage of many times because of this – for example, 3 yrs ago, I lent a co-worker $5000 to assure that as a single mother she would have a dependable car for her and her 3 kids. She has not paid me anything yet. Gave another friend my car for 2 weeks to use because her car was in the shop and she couldn’t afford a rental. It was definitely an inconvenience, having to walk to and from work a mile, having to way to run errands until the weekend, etc. But I did it because I knew how much it meant to her and how much it helped. I then find myself thinking … who will be my angel when I need one?? And I do…. Please, please help!! I don’t have a choice right now. I need surgery, physical therapy/personal training in order to continue working for others. Thank you so much for any contribution you can make! God Bless!
