Hi I am a mom of 3 children, 1 a special needs child. I work as a nurse assistant but it only covers about half of our needs. I work hard and do my best every day and try to keep a smile and a good attitude but sometimes your best just isn't good enough. My special needs baby is 8 years old and is speech impaired, deaf in one ear, severely asthmatic, and has ADHD. Medicaid pays for most of the meds and specialists but not all. I pay for some of his meds and specialists and then there's the gas to go to and from. All in all I'm spending about $800 per month that medicaid is refusing. I haven't been able to get an answer why as of yet. I've applied for social security for him but have been denied twice and now am awaiting a hearing which I am told could be anywhere between 18 and 21 months just to get a hearing date. I only make about $1500 per month so simple things like even a trip to the laundromat is a challenge. Apart from my son's problems I also have 2 baby girls aged 9 and 6 to take care of. Thanks be to God they are healthy. All of my family has passed away due to various forms of cancer so it's just my children and my husband and self. He is out of a job presently and has been seeking work since being laid off from his last job (about 7 months). I have applied for a pell grant and registered for LPN classes at the local community college to try to help myself but it will take about 15 months to finish school let alone get a job. I've managed to pay rent but am 2 months behind on the internet bill (used for school) am 5 months behind in car payments and am at risk of a repo any day. If I lose my car then how am I going to be able to go to work,school, take the kids to school, take the kids to the doctor,grocery shop, do laundry, or anything else? I currently do not have auto insurance because I can't afford it.(was cancelled for nonpayment 2 days ago.) I managed to pay my water and cell(about $100) to keep that going. I am almost a month behind on my electricity but have managed to keep it going by paying about half the bill per month. As of now, I have a balance of $150. I don't know what to do. If anyone would please help us I would be forever grateful and appreciative.

This situation has become a nightmare! I am 65 retired and slightly disabled due to a auto accident over a year ago. I have a hard time walking and this has me house bound most of the time. My wife is recovering from a stroke and taking care of her needs is a full time job. We barely exist on a meager social security income and several months ago I was forced to take out a payday loan just to keep the lights on. We maxed out our small credit card just to buy food and gas for our car and now every month we pay off the loan plus finance charges and then we have to take the loan out again the next day or else we cant pay our bills and buy food. With the credit card used up we have no where to turn for help. I know there are many who need help more than us, but if some kind person could lend a helping hand we will be able to pass the favor on to someone else in turn.

Hi, my name is Sandra and I was diagnosed with an auto immune disease in December. I have IC of the bladder and have to get weekly treatments.I have had three surgeries the last year and the medical bills are adding up and I can't pay them, but if I can't pay then I can't get the treatments I need once a week. I live in pain everyday,but the treatments do help. They compare my pain to cancer. So,some relief I get helps a lot. I have never had to beg of borrow money before. I have tried loans and other things, but can not get approved. I could use any help I can get. So,far my bills are over $6000.

After my owner's husband died three years ago, she's had to make a go of it alone and take a series of manual labor jobs to try and support herself and me, her 6-yr-old pet dog. She does not receive any widow's pension as her husband was self-employed and so she has accumulated credit card debt because her own self-employment salary does not cover all of her utility and insurance bills, and some of my vet bills (I had an abcessed tooth, I'm ashamed to say, and that turned into a $400 procedure), and so she's been charging big bills such as auto insurance and machine repairs to her credit card. She says her truck is 15 years old and has over 130,000 miles on it, so she mostly commutes to our nearest town for yard work whenever it's available. She enjoys hard work, but right now, there's not enough of it around to cover our monthly expenses and so she's had to take out loans and we are getting deeper into debt each month. Please help this furry e-panhandler and her mom if you can.

My name is Jean and I am a mother of three. I am married to William, for 4 years and we are NJ natives. I am a caregiver for my 60 year old mother who was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Failure in January of 2011.

In June of 2010 my mother came from Michigan to live with me with the intention of helping me and my husband by watching our children during our working hours. My husband and I both work very long hours, and the children would have been required to spend long periods of time alone. So my mother came to help us fill the gap. In October of 2010, my mother’s health took a turn for the worse and it was continually getting worse as the year progressed. By January of 2011 my mother was unable to stand for any length of time and was always short of breath.

On February 10th I admitted my mother to the emergency room @ ACMC/Mainland. She was immediately diagnosed with kidney failure. She was admitted to ICU and on February 12th she had a cardiac arrest, due to toxic levels of magnesium, in her system. My mother suffered a sustained brain injury and to this day has a deficit she will have to live with forever. This deficit has taken away her ability to drive, live on her own, or be without some type of supervision.

My family suffered an extreme financial crisis that is ongoing and increasingly more devastating. I was out of work on FMLA for 8 weeks without pay. I was given $1200 in disability payments. I was allowed back to work, but with a significant decrease in pay and a change of position.

We have fallen behind in our bills in a catastrophic way. It seems the more we pay the more we owe. In fact, for the last week we have been without running water. Our gas has been off for three weeks and we use that for hot water, heat, and cooking. Our bank fees for the month of September have been astronomical (well over $400) for NSF charges and Service fees. This is just spiraling out of control. The children attend a local charter school and Pleasantville High school. Each child only has one pair of shoes and one uniform because I can’t get ahead of the curve to get them additional ones. The little ones need their school logo embroidered on the uniforms but that cost more than the shirt did.

We feel helpless and without some type of help we will continue to be a homeless family of six. We are currently living in a motel on the edge of our town. This is a pay by the hour type of place but it is the only place that will charge us by the week and will allow one of use to sleep on the floor. We are soliciting any type of help you can give. Please be mindful that we are hard working members of society. We have been working since we got out of high school. We are not beggars and we are willing to give back in the form of community service.
All I know is that we need help! Immediately or we’ll be past saving!

They were inseperable, and chose to spend most of their free time at the local no-kill animal shelter volunteering. The cats and dogs meant very much to them, and they had both decided to pursue careers working with animals.
After her friend's funeral, Brooke made a pledge to raise money in her friend's name to donate to the shelter. She has put her heart and soul into this, but as we are in a mostly rural area, it hasnt been that easy. Brooke has a goal of raising $5000 by what would have been her friend's birthday in July. I know it is a lofty, and perhaps unrealistic goal..but this means so much to her. Would you be kind enough to contribute? Thank you ever so much, and God Bless-

Filed and completed a Chapter 7 bankruptcy in Jan 2005. Thought that would get me back on my feet. Was affected by Katrina in Aug 2005. Bills and recovery from the hurricane started snowballing and adding up. Lost majority of the house items due to a fallen tree through the roof. Just couldnt catch a break. Managed to get another house even with the bankruptcy, which eventually was foreclosed on. Struggled thru years of money issues and still managed to give 100% to the military. Retired in 2007. Retired pay, nearly half, new it was coming but didnt sink in til it was done. Rated 60% disabled thru the VA. Currently helping 21 year old daughter with cell, auto, and insur, as she attends college. Sadly we are unable to help our 23 year old in college with anything. Luckily, she is very independant and understanding, but the guilt is unbearable. Currently attempting to support our family now including my 18 year old step son with a truck, insur, gas. Wife is out of work. Not enough cs money for food which is supposed to help son from his deadbeat father. Need help to get caught up/ahead, pay off medical bills, and common utilities. Been a very long while since we've had a time to sigh and not have a heavy load on our shoulders. My 21 year old has blessed us with our grand daughter but we can only do so much to help them, nothing extra. We manage to appear happy and the things we do have is it. I am a single, working, father of a 10 yr old girl whose Mom does not assist at all in her support. I fell behind on my rent because of a very costly, sudden a auto repair, and change in employment. I have always help my family friends and strangers in need of a place to stay, food, ride, money clothes ect. Well due to a move, divorce from an abuser and surgery, I thought things were looking up when I got my career moving for a non profit senior resident center, then after a year offered a great position in management for a nursing home but this is a rural community and I did my job well. Due to the economic environment I was let go and my old job already replaced me. Im on unemployment. If I can move to a bigger city, like near los angeles (I have a free place to stay) then I will never be without a job. Currently I volunteer my time with hospice and driving seniors to their doctor appts and errands. My car is old but paid for I need auto repairs in the amount of 2,000; dental work 800; Relocation expenses to move to California 6000; and a job masters degree in healthcare in san fernado valley California I have a paypal account or you can send the money directly to the vendors in kind to me. My dad is a retired veteran from Vietnam era, he works for above minimum wage and I live with him currently. He gets his retirement too but he needs a new fence for his house, I helped with all thee renovations but being unemployed I can offer the labor but the materials are about $2500.00 or $4500 installed he would never ask for a handout but he also needs extensive dental work and replace his implants front teeth from 40 years ago from accident his smile means everything to me. I owe delinquent county auto taxes in the amount of $184.00.
I moved last month and paid new rent, security deposit, electric company deposit, natural gas deposit, etc.
I have no extras-no cable, no internet, no house phone, and that I can deal with.
I DO have a good job and need to drive to work each day.
DMV will suspend my driver's license TONIGHT if I do not pay the past due county taxes for last 2010. HELP!!
I get paid in 2 weeks but must register my vehicle for 2012. The State of Virginia(and most states) will suspend my driving privileges if my past due personal property taxes are not paid.
I just spent my last $68.00 dollars replacing a front tire today on my 1994 Dodge Caravan.

Well I am now in Dallas TX staying with my sister got here 10/05, 11/04 started working for same company i worked for in Ocean Shores Washington, all was good I was getting ready to move into a home in room as live in companion Dec 3rd when 11/18 on my way to work I was involved in an accident my car was totaled and my right knee cap fractured I am in an immobilzer and on crutches and unable to work, immobilzer should come of Jan 6, the auto insurance company will not cover my claim so now I have no car and no money to buy a new used one. The job I was working before the accident is an in store demonstration job and I need to take with me materials and equipment so it cannot be done by bus the live in position requires I run errands so if I have no car I will loose that.

I need someone to be a good Santa Clause and either donate a car or donate $1000 I am willing to pay it back but could only afford $50 a month.

Please somebody help get a car that is all I want for christmas.

Looking for donations for house repairs, heating and electric bills are outrageous. My roof is falling in and the doors are falling off. I am a single mother, I ha to give up my vehicle, I live 20 miles from the nearest job market. Lost my son in a accident in 2005, and the bills have taken me down. We didn't have insurance for funeral or accident bills. Fixing the other person's vehicle took everything auto insurance paid, we only had liability. I have lost my home, auto and everything else. I have 2 boys in high school and a daughter in college. I do work, but hours and pay are short. I would appreciate any help you have to give. Thanks for reading my beg.
