SO, I REALLY NEED TO CLOSE THE FINANCIAL GAP BETWEEN MY COST OF ATTENDANCE AND MY FINANCIAL AID AWARD (4950.00 A YR) IM A JUNIOR AT OREGON STATE IN THE SCHOOL OF PUBLIC POLICY STUDYING POLITICAL SCIENCE WITH A MINOR IN PHILOSOPHY. BESIDES ATTENDING SCHOOL FULLTIME, I WORK PART TIME AS AN ANTIQUE BROKER AND PERSONAL ASSISTANT TO MY TWO SPOILED AND WELL DESERVED KIDS. ANY HELP CAN BE SENT TO MY SCHOOL DIRECTLY OR I CAN SEND VERIFICATION OF MY ATTENDANCE AND COSTS. THANKS

Hi,
I am a single mother with 1 child in college going into her last year and my son starting this fall. My daughter is starting her final year and I have been helping her with her rent and bills and although she has applied to numerous employers with the economy the way it is she just isn't having any luck. My son will be a freshman out-of-state and his financial aid is $10,000 less than his cost of attendance. My 75 year old mother suffers from a number of medical problems and I help her out all the time. She can't do it alone. Until a few months ago, I was working 2 jobs to make ends meet. But with 2 kids in college starting in August, helping my mother and the loss of my second job I can't win for losing. I am trying my hardest but it is getting too much for me to handle. All I want is for my kids to get the education they deserve to make it in this world so hopefully they can live better. I feel like I have failed my kids as a mother and myself as a woman. I have never been the one to ask anyone for anything so this is all new to me. I have no other options at this point. I will be grateful for any donation. Thank You. May God Bless You.

This is a not a request for help to just travel the country and sight see or go on a cruise. I lost my job in November of last year. My Mother passed away from breast cancer and heart complications, I had to take sick days to see to her care and then for the final move to hospice. The company I worked for had strict attendance policies which I of course cannot blame them for or everyone would take advantage of it. I have been unable to find work since and not for lack of trying. I have finally had a job offer but as I live on the East Coast and the job is in the Pacific Northwest, I do not have the money to make a move like this in my current financial situation. I also need a little help to get a (cheap) truck so I can get there with my belongings. The job is on a horse farm and my "horse stuff" will not fit in my car, neither would my car make it that far (1991 Grand Marquis). My home is now in foreclosure and I just spent the last of my money to pay my electric bill.
I never thought I would have to resort to this type of desperate measure just to survive. I have the chance to start over with a great job, I just need to get there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Any help I receive will be payed forward as my situation improves.

My name is Alisha, and I need some help. I owe about 700.00 in tuition and if I cannot pay will have to sit out the next semester, please help me. I have a 4.0 gpa and perfect attendance ( I am a sophomore). I am a student who cares, I know there are fellow peers that are in the same situation as I am, making min. wage @ 7.25 an hour and struggling, so when I am done with my books and supplies I just give them away to those who need them. I know my God will provide and move in someones heart to help me. One day I will be able to read these passages and bless those in need. Thank you for taking the time out to read my plea.

I am a 40+ year old lady who lost my job like so many others during this economic crises. I have not been able to obtain employment and have been trying for 3 years to do so. Almost very contact after my submission of a resume, I know was due to a lack of a college degree. I decided to try to finish my last few classes, even by studying and taking tests where no attendance to school is required, you do all self teaching, by studying the text books they recommend...I needed 2 classes for graduation and had to attend the school in order to participate. After some time, I applied for the Stimulus grant in order to take the courses, applied for financial aid, and even supplied more forms in order to get th full amount in order to cover the tuition in order to graduate. During the semester, it was determined thart the amount allowed was based on the number of credits. I experienced an accident where I broke my ribs, clavicle, lacerated my spleen, bruised my lung, had 10 stitches on my forehead and had a concussion. I was still able to finish the last assignments from the hospital and home in order to complete the requirements and I now cannot graduate next month due to the outstanding balance. I have been trying to speak with the school, have offered to work off the balance and have had no success. I would appreciate any help in my attempt to raise the money in order to graduate.

I am a victim of the horrible economy. I have decided to go to college to get retrained in the IT field. I am doing this while raising two children. I am in bad need of getting my teeth fixed. With the lack of benefits, I can not afford it myself. In order to get hired, I have to get it done so I look professional. In short, I really do not know what to do at this point. I do not even know how I am going to pay my student loans back after graduation. I am currently holding a 3.77 GPA and am on the honor roll every semester. I also have perfect attendance throughout the entire year I have been enrolled. I have a year left until graduation. I formally ask that anyone who is in position to help to please do. I promise that any donations will go towards the cause that I mentioned. I hate being in pain and knowing that this might be the one thing that keeps me from getting hired. I want to work, but I can not afford to get my teeth fixed to help the case. Times are hard for me as is for everyone. I know I am not the only one on this site who needs this type of help. When I took my G.E.D. years ago. Passed but never received it. I attempted to locate it. To no avail. 22 & 16 yrs ago. My children were born in the middle of my divorce and lost everything I owned .Spent 2yrs homeless. When I found another job and began to get back on my feet after 4 years. Went to work one day and the doors at that job were closed. I was homeless for A nother year. The State claims I owe them 20,000 dollars, Not to my kids but to them. Extremely obvious clerical issues with child support prove child supports blat en folly. Assistant States Attorney of child support only removed the case worker from my case. In the early 1990s, My files at Child support were mixed up between my two cases and some file to do With the STATE of MANE. This caused me to be mistakenly listed on license revocation. DVM completely had no records. I have not seen A tax return in 22 yrs. My job from 2000 to 2002 Ended cause the owner went to prison. I've lived in my folks basement now renting for near 5yrs. 41 years old now and worked At A injection Molding plant for the Last 5 yrs. Made supervisor but had to ask for it. Even though I was already doing that job. As the supervisor's that the factory went through during that period . Were all into substance abuse. And incapable to preform there duties. Not showing up.Or leaving in middle of shifts. I worked my way up to making 11 per hrs running several machines Several people would be paid to run during Day shift . I worked the 14 hour over night shift , Running those same Machines my self, Plus sup duties. These Day shifters had terrible attendance records as well. I lost my job two weeks ago. About to loose inter net phone and my UN employment is being contested by the factory. The real reason for my job loss. Is favouritism. But the person who they were favoring to replace. Me with, Said NO. LOL. Now the factory is in world of hurt. Unfortunately. Both my folks work there and are just before retirement age. My father has had several heart attacks as well. My Account says 0.00 over draft. To pay for A cab home from applying at A SuperMarket the other day. Which I didnt get hired.

My family's annual income is $36000. My college's cost of attendance, according to the statement I'm looking at right now, is about $57000.

Simple math, right?

For reasons that remain personal, I am ineligible for financial aid (no, I am not an undocumented immigrant if that's what you were thinking), leaving my parents to pay for the entirety of my college education. But as you can tell, the cost of attending my college is about 1.6x my family's annual income.

Kind of a big problem.

I'm ineligible for pretty much every sort of financial aid, including loans (no rich co-signer). I'm entering every scholarship competition I can, but even those aren't easy to win. I'm also doing my best to keep grades up to be eligible for merit scholarships.

So here I am, asking you to help out. I believe in public good (very much a follower of Locke), and any few dollars you can send my way would be highly appreciated. Anything you can do to help take my mind off money problems in the slightest would be great and help me focus on academics and enjoying college better.

I am a single 48 year old divorced woman and I never thought I would turn to ayone to ask for help. I have never had to get financial assistance and I always made enough to pay my bills. I went to school and that only put me deeper in debt because I was the only one in my class that didn't get a job.I had really good grades and was the only student with perfect attendance.I am only asking for enough to have my gas turned back on and to catch up on some other bills.I am a very honest and hard working person. Hello everybody, I don't usually beg people, I'm used to working for my money, but I have reached a desperate end and I have nobody to go to.
My name is Flavius, I'm 19 years old and I live in Romania. I'm married, have 1 girl, she's turning 1 year old in this June on the 10th.
About 1 year ago when I had a stable job I took a lown from the bank to afford different expenses with the baby and my wife, I'm a med school student and I used to work for a company which name I won't say here because I'm not sure I'm allowed, that produces different car parts, like air conditioner, hydraulics, for other car companies like Audi, BMW etc, with a monthly pay of 400$
The bank allowed me a 15.000$ lown, and it was ok while me and my wife had a job.
Most recently my wife was diagnosted with breast cancer and we had alot of medical bills to pay, she couldn't work anymore and not long ago I was released from my job due to "staff shortenings" and time/attendance along with alot of other people from the company.
Since I lost my job the state pays me some un-employment help which is around 130$ a month, which barely covers our taxes and food.
I have been in dept with the bank and couldn't afford paying then monthly so now I owe the bank 3200$ from the past months of not paying.
Last week I received a letter letting me know that I will be losing my home if I will not pay this ammount by next month.
I have no family and nobody to turn to, I received a job offer but I wont be starting it till April 12th.
If I won't be able to pay the bank and lose my home I also won't be able to work and will end up on the streets or God knows where with a baby and a sick wife who needs medical care.
I'm begging you to help me with anything you can, if I manage to raise enough money to pay the bank then I will be able to start taking care of my family and hopefully grant my baby a normal life.
I'm really at the very end with nobody to turn to or lown money from, aspecially this amount, so I'm begging you people to help me with whatever you can.

Thanks for taking the time to visit THE CYBER BEGGING BUM and read my story. I am currently a IT student in school to obtain my A+, Network+, MCSA, and my MCP certifications. I decided to create this blog because I have hit hard times when I lost my job and unemployment does not get the bills paid, I have been unemployed for the past year and a half and surviving off of my unemployment benefits & $100.00 a month I get from school for keeping my 3,0gpa and having good attendance. I have applied for numerous jobs & been on numerous interviews to no avail. The economy is what actually made me go back to school.

I decided to create THE CYBER BEGGING BUM as a platform for those interested in helping to make my situation better , I am currently $20,000 in debt from student loans alone not to mention other micellanious debt that I have. I am currently living with my dad, driving a 1994 pontiac and struggling to take care of my two sons.
