Have a Disability Am In Trouble

Posted by lovetie on 2012-02-20 19:58:05

I have aspergers syndrome - I have since I was a child. I also have a part time job that works with me and my disability. That said I do have a smaller older car which is just used for work, and although I am getting "some assistance" from the government it sometimes isn't enough when something like what I'm about to tell you happens.

My car broke down and has a problem that will require quite a bit of money that is about 500 dollars. I'm really in a hole and need the car to get to work which is requires about 20 miles of driving a day for me. Hopefully someone can be kind enough to help. I've never begged before. Any donation no matter the size is appreciated.

help with kitchen/holiday

hi,i am a stressed out mum with 5 children,2 have Aspergers/Autism and i am trying my best to look after them and study so that i can better myself and hopefully be able to take them for a little holiday as we have never been anywhere.i do not want to go anywhere expensive, just a weekend away with them would be the best ever.my house also has terrible dry rot,i have spent all the money i had having it treated (house insurance would not cover it).we had to rip all the kitchen worktops and units out(ruined by rot)and knock all the plaster off the walls to treat it,if i could just have any small amounts i could buy kitchen units on sale and try and give the children a tidy clean place to cook and eat their food and do their homework in,i will be extreemly greatful for any amounts to help me so that the children will have a better life,my autistic son cant cope with mess and cries all the time and asks me why he is the only boy in his class that hasnt been on holiday.thank you for reading this plea and if you feellike you would like to help out i am eternally greatful.thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Please Help A Small Family

Posted by Elfay on 2011-09-06 12:58:56

We will be homeless August 31, 2011. There are 2 adults, including myself. We have a 12 year old special needs son which makes it difficult to get full time employment or any employment.

My husband has cancer and has a difficult time with every day living. And does not qualify for disability nor does our son qualify for Social Security. We don't qualify for TANF either only foodstamps.

We are flat broke, the last bit of our money, which was going to go for the rent and utilities was stolen.
If anyone could help us we would appreciate it. We both want to work but can't find work.

Please help us before we are out in the street. How do you tell a child who has Aspergers Syndrome he doesn't have a home any longer? It just breaks my heart this is our last few days here unless we get help with our rent and utilities.

We tried all the charities and churches, they are all out of funds right now.

Thank you and God Bless.

Update: we haven't gotten any donations or anything. We are packing up the car and leaving tomorrow. Our small family will be split up. I will go into a shelter and my son & husband will go to FL to stay temporarily with his mother. She only has room for 2 other people.

I added my paypal account hoping someone will take pity on us.

Thank you and God Bless.

Another sad update: my husband and son drove 600 miles to FL on Thursday and it was dreadful, the car was packed to the max. We have a small car it it was totally over loaded. What else was he to do? Our son has Aspergers, the only way he can survive a crisis such as this is is some sense of normalcy, meaning he needs his things, things that mean a lot to him even if they seem trivial to use they are not to him. So we loaded up the car with books, games, dvds, what have you.
Well, they get to my husband's mother's house in South FLA and instead of a loving welcome they get the worst from her. She is all over my husband and calling him all kinds of terrible things. She's down on her grandson, all over him. These 2 came 600 miles away and this is the welcome they got. Needless to say they are leaving FLA and returning to GA. Out of shear desperation. We will have to go into a shelter. We have no where to go. Noone has donated a dime to us. Just advice. Advice is nice but it doesn't pay the rent or utilities.

Does anyone even read these posts besides us who post them? I would love to hear from success stories that came from here. It would be a huge confidence boost. Rescent success stories within the last 6 months to a year.

My faith in God has increased within me, however my faith in humanity is failing.

We are no different than most of those also posting on here. Our needs are no more in demand. We all have a common bound, we are desperatly trying to keep our families together, through this crisis that seems to keep getting worse.

My cell phone is a pay-as-you-go, I only pay 25.00 a month for 300 mins, unlimited texting & net usage. 25.00 is an awesome deal if you have 25.00. I don't have it. So now I can't even talk with my husband to find out when he's coming to ATL (my service will be over September 7) or even post on here or check my paypal if some kind soul donated anything. We didn't really have it last month but we figured it was worth it, especially since we haven't had a pc for years. This is our only link to the internet - this and the library.
Some would say a cell phone is a luxury, not if you don't have a landline, we haven't had a landline in 2 years. Its become an absolute nessisity.

We don't smoke or drink, take illegal drugs or spend money on frivilous things. My clothes are beging to get shabby as are my shoes.

If anyone can donate a cell phone card of 25.00 it would be most welcome. I feel terrible asking but its my only link to my family in FL. Without it I have no phone. Forget the net I can live without it but not to be able to call my husband is terrible. its scary not having a phone.

My husband has a Safelink cell phone - a Welfare pay-as-you-go they only allow one per house hold. He gets a set amount of mins for free a month, you can chose to roll over your mins too on some of their plans. So mine is the only paid cell phone.

Thank you for reading and God Bless.

Need a Career Change

My career as a property developer is unsuccessful because I cannot consistently stay employed,
and it is only worse with this recession. Also, my career demands that I spend much time of my life being lonely and isolated in rural areas. I really need to be around more people in my life. Now I want to start a new career writing travel articles. Also, I am willing to volunteer for social charities overseas and to teach English as a second language. I am traveling overseas because I think that there is more opportunities for careers that are related to my academic degree in anthropology and religious studies, and I also don't feel the social stigmatism of being a financially poor and single man in his forties that I do in the USA. Also, I owe the US government around $30,000 for student loans. I need a job or at least a financial safety net so that I don't go broke overseas. I can live on as little as $1000 a month.
So please help with whatever you can while I am making this career change. I can keep you informed about my whereabouts and activities.
I have aspergers, a mild form of autism that causes me to be socially challenged when trying to relate to people and open doors for career opportunities.
I have no wife and family with children, and am now in my early forties.
Perhaps I can start a new life if I can manage a successful career change.

Only asking for a one-time favor

My daughter has been diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome and needs special therapy. She also has hearing loss in both ears as well as repeated tonsilitis. She needs surgery to correct these conditions.

My husband's unemployment has run out and he has been desperately searching for employment ever since he was laid off to no avail.

We have been living very frugally since the lay-off. We don't have tv, we do our food shopping at low-cost markets like Aldi's and the Dollar store. We don't eat out or go to amusement parks or any other entertainment. We don't smoke and we don't drink.

If you could spare any extra money to help us hold it together and possibly get my daughter the medical treatment she needs, we will be forever grateful of your generosity.

We need exactly $2000.00 for everything I have listed above. I will promise to post in here a tally of how much I have received everyday. Once the total has been reach no more donations will be needed.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my urgent request. Peace to all of you and may God bless each of you.

Great Credit, but they say I just don’t make enough!

Hi, IÂ’m a divorced mother of two boys, (one diagnosed with Autism-Aspergers), and have worked very hard on keeping up my credit in the hopes of buying a home for my family. However, my twenty-seven months of unemployment forced me to use all of my savings. I now have a new job but it pays half of what I was getting paid and no savings.

I recently found a three-bedroom condo that foreclosed on and is currently selling for $35,000. It is PERFECT, and in my boysÂ’ school district where my youngest with Aspergers, receives Special Ed support through his school. If I secured a loan my monthly payments would be around $600/month. ThatÂ’s $250 less than what IÂ’m paying in RENT! And while I have never been late on one rent payment of $850 in the last 6 years, the loan officer says I donÂ’t make enough to buy a house.

I am a very practical person, IÂ’m not frivolous, and have excellent money management skillsÂ…this is why IÂ’m so upset that I donÂ’t qualify for a loan. The loan officer said I needed to pay down my $15,000 in credit debt or pay off the rest of my car loan, which is around $10,000 and come up with at least 3.5% of what I want to borrow, and I can buy a home!

I am reaching out to anyone that understands my situation and the need to want to provide the best for their family. My ex-husband does not provide child support due to him being laid off and my family is not in a financial position to help me out, even though they have been my rock during this extremely difficult time. If you can give any amount to help out, my family and I would be extremely grateful.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. If you are not able to send a donation, then please send a prayer our way.
