I recently graduated college and am a single mom with 4 small kids at home. Our rent is 600 a month. I'm looking for work and not having much luck. I've sold everything I can to get the rest of the bills paid. The landlord isn't giving an inch. I have to have the rent paid before the weekend to avoid eviction. I am praying to have a job asap. My job does not offer short term disability insurance and I already used my sick/vacation time up on the last surgery. I currently cant work more than 2 hours at a time so I really need to get this surgery ASAP. Im looking for any donations that I can get to help with every day expenses. I do have health insurance that will pay most of the surgery but im worried about how my family will survive when Im off 6 to 8 weeks or longer. Really starting to stress out over it. I was laid off from my job a couple years ago in that time frame I was collecting unemployment and return back to school. In the midst of everything I separated from my live in boyfriend at the time and found myself in a jam. I seek help frm social service for housing and everything was going according to plan, I found a location who agreed to take me in with state assistance rent. I moved in with the landlord permission and assumption that she would be paid accordingly;however, because I was finally blesse with a reliable job the state ended up not persuing what was said and never paid the landlord... When the landlord advise me of this I immediately seeked answers. Social service said basically I have a job. Could pay and so I did, Ive paid my rent every month but now landlord wants to evict me for the amount owed from social service I've done everything possible to work something out with the landlord and nothing. The contents and purpose of this letter have caused any pride I might have had to disappear and the level of embarrassment and shame that I am feeling, even as I write this small introduction to grow beyond compare with something I NEVER want to feel again in my life.

I will make an honest attempt at keeping it quick and to the point, since you know how I can get to rambling on forever about nothing. I am going to start with the immediate and EXTREMELY URGENT situation at hand with prior situations that have created a situation that I cannot handle alone.

3 or so weeks ago….
I was pulled over for my front license plate and registration being expired (had only recent got the vehicle back) I was personally searched 3 times... my car was loaded to capacity, and I said I would rather them not search it, due to it contents and the time and energy spent loading it. He said he would call k-9. I had no problem with this. The dogs were 2 hrs away and apparently this cop was set on this, so he tells me, “im going to search your car” so the car was searched extensively and illegally by 3 officers while I was told I had to sit in the officers back seat, locked, of course.... as expected, there was nothing found anywhere in my car by 3 police over the course of a few hours.... Keep in mind, i was searched three times before being placed in his car.... wearing a bathing suit..

They let me go, and told me I could load my car back up.... then, for some reason....the initial officer removed the lower portion of his back seat???. Found something (controlled substance, less than a gram, schedule 1) that i have yet to be informed as to what it was…. Screamed to put my hands behind my back, confusing, arresting and humiliating me.

Have spent money that I could not spare to get out of jail, get my car back and wasted close to a week of my life.

One level 3 tampering with evidence… (Claiming that I put the controlled substance in the back seat)
$10,000 and 2-10
The other, possession of a controlled substance, less that a gram level 1….. is a state felony and brings similar time and money



There is a camera in the back of this officer’s car as well as one on the small building at which the incident happened…
Its all on video, and the lawyers i have talked to have assured me that this is an easy one, “wont be a problem” and it’s a “no brainer”.

But given the circumstances leading up to and surrounding these ridiculous legal charges I cannot obtain the services of these lawyers since I am unable to afford what they are asking. Was told if I could bond myself out, then I couldn’t have a public defender, and even if that isn’t true, I wouldn’t want one simply due to the fact that I am not prepared to settle or accept a plea bargain for something that is going to ruin me.

Court is TOMORROW, the 10TH

Like I said… this is the most embarrassing and shameful thing I have had to face.


Please help my family and i. This is injust, I am scared, don’t know what to do and I cannot take it.

They are asking for 8k, and 1/2 down...

Thursday, may 10... TOMORROW, i will go from a normal, once succesful person who fell on hard times to an animal in a prison cell.

Please please please. I will do whatever it takes to pay you back. Interest, labor, ANYTHING.. i will just need a bit of time to get through this situation and i will focus on repaying

I have been asking for help from this predatory lender Rochester Home Equity which no one heard of this company. I have filed a complaint against RHE with Department of Financial Services and the reply was I can not get any help from them because my case is in court yes I know that it's been in court for 2 Years and i am not getting anywhere, I know that Jay Gelb the owner of Rochester Home equity is a millionaire, I just can't bet this lender and it's not fair that Mr. Gelb is going to take my houses and won't do a modification, and it's so sad that Mr. Gelb from Rochester Home Equity taking advance of low income people, I just want to know how many other victims is out there and couldn't get any help from anyone to help them before it was to late and everything they work for is GONE. My problem is I am being counsel by my lawyer but again it's has been a on gowning problem with Rochester Home Equity, all we been asking is for Rochester Home equity to TAKE my mother house off the lien that didn't have any mortgage on the 48 Homewood Ave my mother left me and my brother and do modification my house on 43 Twiller St. Rochester Home Equity is just giving us a hard time. As of right now I am debt with my lawyer for $10,000.00 that money I don't have because going to court and trying to do modification and we are not getting anywhere with this lender. I am so tried that Rochester Home Equity want reply to any thing that my lawyer is asking. I just want RHE this predatory lender just take my mother home that she left me and my brother off the lien that didn't have any mortgage on the home and work with my home that is worth $136,000.00 I brought the house I live in for $130,000.00 and my rate is 12.5 percent don't you think that a very HIGH rate. Yes I am bennig counsel by a lawyer as i stated my lawyer is not getting anywhere with this Rochester Home Equity. All I am asking you for help and step in because what RHE is doing is wrong and like I stated NO one cares what happen to me and other people that the lender is doing to us and hurting people too. Now I will be going into Chapter 13 because I don't want to lose my homes, and RHE this Predatory Lender just don't care ONLY wants both houses. So can you PLEASE step into this matter! It's a big problem as you see what have happen to me. Me and my lawyer just want Rochester Home Equity is take my mother home off the lien and work with the new modification and redo my loan, but that's not going to happen so that is why I am pleading with you ASAP to save my houses. My name is Matt and I live in the west suburbs of Chicago. I am currently unemployed and finding it difficult to find even the most basic, menial job in this economy. While I have no felony convictions or anything that would bar employment, I am forced to rely on public transportation to get around at this time.

I am a recovering addict and I have been on methadone treatment for almost 5 years. I am on a low dose and I am having difficulty paying for my medication. I would like to be able to go to the clinic once a week instead of 5 times a week. This is hurting my ability to find work because I spend 3-4 hours on the bus going to the clinic.

My familiy and I have been struggling for some months now. I have an 18 month old son, and another boy on the way.

I will keep this simple. I live in Scotland, and lost my job due to ill health. My girlfriend was forced to move back to Israel, and I am saving up cash to get there to get back together with her. Her family are struggling financially s of recently, and so my girlfriend has taken a second job to help, although she was offered a job as an escort. She turned it down at first, but now her family are pushing and pushing for her to take the job to help with money. I need to get there ASAP to prevent this from happening. I need help asap. I rented a place from a scumbag 2 weeks ago who unknown to me had already sold the home. I went looking for help with this situation through various social services, etc. I was told I needed an eviction notice from the landlord who kept my deposit and won't return it. I have just found out that the supposed landlord doesn't even own the property and is harassing and threatening me to move out. The police have been notified and I obtained legal aid to try to get to the bottom of this. I have found another apartment but because this scumbag will not return my money I need a first month's rent deposit and moving costs of about $600.00. I want to get out of here as soon as possible because the situation with me and this person is really bad and could be very ugly. He comes in my home when ready and has taken things, even the dog's dog food can you believe it. Can someone please help me I don't feel comfortable here and have no place else to go.
