I'm a college student whose only income is from freelance writing (independent content writing). I currently owe approx $79 to pay the bank. They will not let me set up a payment plan. I am trying to write to earn this money but am struggling to do so. Even $1 can make a HUGE difference.

Hi there - I am 51 and my partner is 57. We have worked all our lives but lost everything, all our savings, in a small business venture 8 years ago. We both work full time and have moved to a remote part of Australia where housing is cheaper as the housing market in Australia is one of the most expensive in the world and we would like to own one before it is too late. Time is fast running out for that to ever happen, due to our ages and income levels. I am terrified of winding up in the public housing system in 8 years, living on the Government pension of approx $585 per fortnight for the both of us. I hate doing this,begging, it's against everything i stand for bar one thing and i would give my life just for the oppportunity. Greetings, Me and my family are farmers located in one of the most remote and rugged regions of Himalayas in India where there are no access to roads or transportations. Our home and fields are situated over the mountain approx. 3500 feet above sea level where the weather is unpredictable which makes farming very hard and life unbearable. All the farm work is done manually by hand by the members of my family. We normally grow garlic in small quantities which we sell to sustain the family for a whole year. As there are no access to roads we have to carry the loads on our backs at times 50 to 80 KG to access the nearest road which is couple of hours down the mountain and is a back breaking process. Even to get small food items we have to be going through this exercise everyday for our survival. Our everyday diet consist of five or six rotis (wheat flour and water mixed and roasted like a pancake) with mostly dal (gravy made out of pulse) with occasional rice two times a day. At times we collect wild vegetables from nearby forest to supplement our diet. Because of lack of nutrition our health conditions also suffer many times in a year. Here even today babies are born in the house. Birth is supervised by one of the older village woman as there are no doctors or any qualified medical people. In cases of emergency we have to carry the patient on our back to the road and any medical attention can be gotten 15 kms further down the road. This has resulted in many deaths in past years with young and old.
Since last two years due to changing weather conditions and untimely rainfall our fields could not yield crops properly. We are poor farmers just scrapping through life trying to stay alive. Added to these problems last year three of my family members one of whom is a six month old baby had deteriorating health conditions which needed hospitalisation and medicines which cost us major portion of the money we could earn by selling our crop. Normally we earn about 50,000 INR in a year by selling garlic and we grow small quantities of wheat and corn enough to keep the family through the year. Due to these sufferings and extra expenditure am now in great distress to be even able to buy seeds to grow crop in our field to sustain ourselves. To have one morsel of food has become a nightmare for all of us and we are nine members in the family with two small babies of 8 months and two years. The future of our survival looks very bleak given the conditions and lack of health and finance to tend the field.
I would be highly grateful if your goodselves would consider me and my family a worthy cause to extend your help to us with 5000 USD which I can use to buy necessary seeds for the crops, few essential medications, a mule for transportation, fix the leaking roof of our home, do little maintenance to our field for yielding more crop and get me, my family andour field back on track as our field is the only source of our survival. Someone created false checks with our bank’s routing number and account number but put a person’s individual name with erroneous address and duplicated the check numerous time to where it totally wiped out our checking account and put six additional fake checks onto our overdraft protection. This person even changed the name of the bank from Fifth Third to First Bank of Clewiston on the face of the check and no one has caught her. Hi. Im 60 years of age, live alone and self employed. I owe $1000 for 2010s taxes which has now become $2000 plus approx. $1000 for 2011s taxes plus Ive fallen behind in state and local taxes. None of these are real estate taxes I rent. Im able to keep rent and utilities paid but cant get these taxes caught up. The IRS put me on a payment plan for 2010s tax but that doesnt do a thing for 2011, 2012 or state or local. Well, this is embarrassing, but for the sake of my children I am doing it anyway.
I have a problem with bailiffs. My husband left me and also left me with all his unpaid debts as well as three children to support. I lost my job a year ago and have not been able to find another yet, although I have been trying. I am on benefits, but they do not cover the debts or the mortgage payments I need to make. I am trying to sell the house, and the mortgage company are being fairly reasonable, but even so, if I do not sell in time, I will also lose my house. If I can sell, I can pay my debts and move into rented with some money left over. But that's a long shot in the current market.
However, the most urgent problem is the bailiffs. They are demanding immediate payment of £2,020 (approx $3,300 USD) or they will take my possessions to auction to cover the debt. It's a joke, my paltry possessions will not cover the debt, but they will take them anyway. The longer the debt goes unpaid, the more "interest" they are adding to the bill and they refuse to take instalments, saying my husband broke the original agreement with them and now it's too late for that. Unfortunately, they are legally allowed to do this, (since we had an earlier agreement with them and they have what is called a levy on the house contents) as well as intimidate, threaten and even break into my house to collect my stuff. It's a frightening situation. I am afraid to answer the door in my own home and I have had to tell the kids not to either, because they are not above forcing their way in past them. I have tried the police, but they say it's all legal and they cannot help me, even if these men break in (in fact, they will help THEM to do so, because I owe the money) It’s unbelievable, but it's true. I have even asked the help of a solicitor, but he says the same thing, unless the law is changed, there is nothing he can do. No one appears to be trying to find my husband, and I do not have the resources to look.
I hate having to ask, but I am terrified of these men. I can't eat or sleep and I am worried about the effect this is having on the kids.
I hope there is someone (or several people maybe) who can help me out of this mess I have been left with.

A Desperate Plea for HELP… Donations for Luxating Patella Surgery!


I have a Service Dog named FiFi who is a Medical Alert Dog.
My Service Dog has been diagnosed with an extreme case of Severe Bilateral Medical Luxating Patella, confirmed by two separate veterinarians, who consider it to be a chronic and serious medical condition. The grooves in her femurs, where the kneecaps are supposed to ride, are very shallow and have caused her kneecaps to slip out of socket to the inside of the legs. Her kneecaps cannot be manipulated back into place by hand.
She has developed the condition bilaterally, on both sides, her condition is at a Grade 5 out of 5 in both hind knees, which is the most severe, and she needs surgery ASAP on both limbs.

The Luxating Patellas are causing constant pain and discomfort, decreased energy level, tiring quickly, bony protuberances, bowlegged, crouching stance, swollen knees and joints, poor coordination, loss of balance, limited mobility, stiffness when walking, a change in posture, lack of appetite, and arthritis pain.
When she is able to walk she does so with one of her hind legs further out from her body, while the other affected limb is always being carried because it is much too painful to use. For the most part, she must balance her weight on her front legs as she walks, while holding her hindquarters off the ground, which is severely uncomfortable to say the least. She is no longer able to walk, or even stand on her left hind leg, and is not able to move it.

The recommendation is for her to have corrective surgery on both knees within 2 weeks. The surgeon advised that, if left untreated, the condition will worsen and may lead to rupture of the cruciate ligament as well as painful deformation of the leg bones as she continues to grow. The surgery involves deepening the trochlear groove and modifying the joint capsule to prevent the kneecap from slipping out. If there is significant deformation of the leg bones, they will have to be cut, realigned and pinned. She will have approximately 8 weeks of recovery time.

As you can imagine, this surgery will not be cheap. The estimated cost (at a reduced price) is approx. $1,900 to $2,000, per leg, not including pre-op lab work, post-op rechecks, X-rays, narcotic pain medicine, a custom-built Wheelchair for Toy Breeds (to help her get around), plus miscellaneous other medical supplies that she will need after surgery. The Wheelchair (as prescribed by her Veterinarian) must be ordered online and costs $249.00+ Tax + Shipping and Handling charges).

If FiFi does not get the surgery she needs she will be forced to live a life of constant pain with a permanent luxation that could develop into degenerative joint changes, bone deformities of the femur and tibia, and may not be able to walk ever again!

FiFi is an adorable Toy Pomeranian with a Sweet and Loving Disposition; a Sparkling Personality and Magical Charm. She is very clever, well-mannered, and is unusually calm and quiet. She is one smart dog!
She has brought so much Joy and Blessing into my life; I can't ever imagine life without her! Wherever I go, FiFi brings out the best in people. I know she brings out the best in me. I have formed a special bond with FiFi. She is not only my Service Dog; she is also my Best Friend and part of my Family.

My dog is a Service Dog, and she's paid her dues. It is a lot of money, but my dog deserves it. She's only 7 years old.

If it were for me, I would not ask for help.

But it's for FiFi!

finally it's not so easy... i don't know if there is a "specific way" to express those things in a better way. i can say only what happens and i hope you will understand the situation.
we run a family business and we work for it really hard from very first in the morning until late in the evening. we have two babies and all our effort was made to grow our them in a better way and provide them something for their future. So, we have considered as a good idea to have a further help from a partner, so to expand our business and have an extra help from someone that would care the same as we do. in this way, we could have also more time with our kids, something really important for us.
