I am a single mother of two. I recently just moved and I am having a hard time getting adjusted. I do have a job, but I have been playing catch up on the rent. I did make that a priority so that we would at least have a roof over our heads. But that has left us almost starving. I have been to the local food banks, but they all only run only once a month. My fiancé and I both got laid off the same week. We are both very hard workers. We were living off very little, but managed to save some money. After a month worth of bills, it's almost gone. We have been searching day and night for jobs and applying everywhere. Nobody is calling us back. We have enough money for utilities, but won't be able to make rent which is due in two weeks. We just got a new little car 2 months ago since our old one broke thinking we were going to be stable enough. We don't have money for that $400 payment either. Our wedding was supposed to be last week, which we had to cancel due to money issues. We just found out we are expecting. Which is the only positive thing so far, but we are going to need money for it also. We have sold most of our clothes and furniture. Both our families are struggling with money at the time so we are on our own.
If we don't get money soon, we will be car-less and homeless and our credit we worked so hard for will be ruined. Homeless and pregnant. I don't know where to turn. I am a single mother with a one year old son. The father of my child recently left us because he said it was to much stress raising a child. I have 4 children, two in school, my oldest son is autistic, and a set of twins. I want to Go to school for phlebotomy. I am basically raising money to go take this phlebotomy class hopefully by the fall. All I want is to do better for my family, and city colleges dont pay for certificate classes so fafsa is out for me. I have been looking for, interviewing, and applying for jobs since I got laid off in 2010, yet, to no avail have I gotten lucky. Alot of places want you to have a degree now a days and I figure if I start off small then I can acheive more for myself and my family. All I want is to do better for my family so they wont have to go through the same thing I have. I hate being on welfare and sometimes it feels like I am stuck in one place but if given the chance I know I can succeed. Hello. I am bipolar and in the process of applying for disability. Due to my bipolar I cannot keep work and am trying to get myself and my survival together while in the disability process. I applied mid April for disability but it will be several months until anything is done.
Right now I am in need of help for medication and my counseling fees. My medication is 347.00 a month and my counseling fees have to be paid upfront and those are 25.00 a week. I haven't had my medicine in 2 days and if I go much longer I will be in bed crying for days. I don't like to skip my counselor but I will to get my meds.
I just need help until SSI comes through...please..

My kid brother is a 29 year old who is dieing from End Stage Kidney Decease. His Dr said the following:
that he is terminal, he needs help and I need help to provide for him as he has no income and can not work. He has been staying with me since just before Christmas(about three months after he was diagnosed), He spends most of his day dealing with hospitals and the nights going to dialysis treatments then back home. he is applying for SSI and SSD but still no word as of yet. In the mean time I need help to purchase the medical equipment his doctors have required him to have at home, also we need clothing for him as the last 3 clothing banks I have gone to near our home have had nothing his size. His diet is a dialectic renal diet and I can no longer afford to provide foods that meet it's stringent standards with out help. He dose not qualify for pre-SSI as he has no children. We have tried everything and now must resort to begging for help. We need a bed, bedding, a Fridge, clothing, activities(Batman themed), food, a new kidney would be nice. The list goes on, Please help If you can I can provide letters from his DR as proof.
This has put a strain on all of us both physically and emotionally But I love my kid brother our parents are dead so we have no one to turn to.

Hi I am a mom of 3 children, 1 a special needs child. I work as a nurse assistant but it only covers about half of our needs. I work hard and do my best every day and try to keep a smile and a good attitude but sometimes your best just isn't good enough. My special needs baby is 8 years old and is speech impaired, deaf in one ear, severely asthmatic, and has ADHD. Medicaid pays for most of the meds and specialists but not all. I pay for some of his meds and specialists and then there's the gas to go to and from. All in all I'm spending about $800 per month that medicaid is refusing. I haven't been able to get an answer why as of yet. I've applied for social security for him but have been denied twice and now am awaiting a hearing which I am told could be anywhere between 18 and 21 months just to get a hearing date. I only make about $1500 per month so simple things like even a trip to the laundromat is a challenge. Apart from my son's problems I also have 2 baby girls aged 9 and 6 to take care of. Thanks be to God they are healthy. All of my family has passed away due to various forms of cancer so it's just my children and my husband and self. He is out of a job presently and has been seeking work since being laid off from his last job (about 7 months). I have applied for a pell grant and registered for LPN classes at the local community college to try to help myself but it will take about 15 months to finish school let alone get a job. I've managed to pay rent but am 2 months behind on the internet bill (used for school) am 5 months behind in car payments and am at risk of a repo any day. If I lose my car then how am I going to be able to go to work,school, take the kids to school, take the kids to the doctor,grocery shop, do laundry, or anything else? I currently do not have auto insurance because I can't afford it.(was cancelled for nonpayment 2 days ago.) I managed to pay my water and cell(about $100) to keep that going. I am almost a month behind on my electricity but have managed to keep it going by paying about half the bill per month. As of now, I have a balance of $150. I don't know what to do. If anyone would please help us I would be forever grateful and appreciative.

My wife and I have 3 children with another on the way. A few years ago I was a successful insurance and annuity agent, but the downturns in the economy forced me to get out of that line of work. I am working 3 jobs, putting in as many hours as I can, but with some recent medical bills we have gotten behind. Currently, we are totally broke, and our cabinets are getting pretty empty. I'm exhausted, but I would work more if I had any hours left in the days to get extra work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I've never done this before but, I'm desperate.
I'm 19 years old and my family is going through a divorce, my mother never furthered her education and has been a house wife for the entire 20 years they have been married and simply supported my dad and all his pursuits.

When I turned 18 my dad left for a gas station woman he'd known for maybe a total of a few months. Let me state he tried to have an affair with her, it wasn't till my mother confronted him that he said he wanted a divorce; My dad is a repeated cheat, I was never aware of this till the day he left, then all the lies came out of the closet.

We run a small chimney sweep business, the office is located at my mother's as she sets the appointments. She does not receive a pay check because during their marriage it was easier on taxes, they have decided to keep it this way and instead dad just covers the bills.

Now the business is great in the winter but we are in spring now and as you may already know no one uses their fireplace in the middle of warm weather! No they go outside and have bonfires. Now my dad is going blind due to diabetes and simply cannot work, we have hired a friend to do the jobs now while my dad just tells them what needs to be done and oversee's the work to the best of his ability. However, his reputation of leaving his wife and daughter for a woman he barely knows has
gotten around and I've heard the clients say they don't want business from a man like that.
My dad also wants to spend money we do not have, he is trying to sell an old sports car so we can put another work truck on the road, we don't have enough work to keep the one truck going we most certainly can't afford the regular expenses of another! My parent's can't even afford to legally divorce, and he want's a new truck. The one he has is fine, I don't understand why he won't use that money for bills.

Now any money I earn myself I have to give to my parents to help alleviate the burden of the bills, but what I contribute is not enough and now we have received the nasty call from the mortgage that they are foreclosing. While I hand all my savings to my parents can't save for my education, and being homeless will make it almost impossible. I've no famly or friends to turn to and we do not have a shelter here. I'm under the age of 24 so I cannot get any financial aid for school without a legal guardian to sign for me, and my parents refuse to think realistic; When I ask them what are we going to do? they say "Winning the lottery is the only thing that can save us." They have lost hope, I understand things are bad... but is it so bad that they can't help me get financial aid?

Hello. I'm Kelly, and I'm twenty. I'm a college student in Georgia, and I was disowned by my family a few years ago. I've been trying to find a job for a year, but I haven't been able to get anything despite applying to every business I could get to.

My financial aid has been enough up to this point to get me by, but a few emergencies came up. Now, I only have $500 to my name, and I have to make it through August before I'll get my next year's financial aid! I've been getting behind on my bills. My rent is $265 a month. My bills are roughly $140. I'm at my wit's end. I need help. I'm scared, and I don't want to have to drop out of school.

I have prayed in faith to god that he will help me with my finances i was laid off from my work April 20 but they will be giving me work again in the middle of June.i need help with my cable bill ect the amount i need for every bill to survive till then is $600.00 i have faith that god will put it on someone heart reading this that i will get some help.I'm looking for a new job and have applied for EI insurance which will take a long time.May Jesus pour out blessing on you for any help you give me.

I just moved out of my one-bedroom apartment into a two bedroom apartment with a new roommate to help her out of a bad situation with her parents. A week after moving out, I was forced to resign from my job due to health issues affecting my quality scores. I was denied unemployment because of this, and now she's telling me that if I'm not able to pay rent, she will kick me out and either find a new roommate or get her own one-bedroom apartment. I have applied for every job I could find, and no one has called me back in over a month. Any help I can get would be loved and appreciated; if I can't make rent, I'll have to find somewhere to store my furniture and couch-hop for awhile until I can get back on my feet.

All of my extended family is in Ohio. So i found a job in Ohio, and got the application for relocation approved. The wfb at one stop said it takes 10 days to recieve funds. The funds never came. I called dcf and they said my unemployment was approved so they denied me. I am getting evicted, losing my car, and my first unemployment check came in May and it was only for one week. I don't know what else to do. I just want to take my son home and be with my family and start working again.
