Last year I worked for a corporation where I experienced a series of gender discrimination, harassment because of my gender, intentionally subjected to a hostile work environment, improperly disiciplibed, ridiculed, humiliated within the presence of my colleagues, then terminated.
I filed with the SDHR/ EEOC, it appears that I will need to proceed to Federal Court. This is my last chance to seek justice. I am afraid of my case being dismissed off of a small legal tech.
I have spoken to many lawyers who are willing to take my case, but want 10,000 to start. I do not have that kind of money. I am only receiving unemployment at the moment.
I have called free legal sites, firms, and program, but I need an employment lawyer.
If you all can help me raise the money or if you are an employment lawyer or have a friend who practices employment law please help.

Well, this is embarrassing, but for the sake of my children I am doing it anyway.
I have a problem with bailiffs. My husband left me and also left me with all his unpaid debts as well as three children to support. I lost my job a year ago and have not been able to find another yet, although I have been trying. I am on benefits, but they do not cover the debts or the mortgage payments I need to make. I am trying to sell the house, and the mortgage company are being fairly reasonable, but even so, if I do not sell in time, I will also lose my house. If I can sell, I can pay my debts and move into rented with some money left over. But that's a long shot in the current market.
However, the most urgent problem is the bailiffs. They are demanding immediate payment of £2,020 (approx $3,300 USD) or they will take my possessions to auction to cover the debt. It's a joke, my paltry possessions will not cover the debt, but they will take them anyway. The longer the debt goes unpaid, the more "interest" they are adding to the bill and they refuse to take instalments, saying my husband broke the original agreement with them and now it's too late for that. Unfortunately, they are legally allowed to do this, (since we had an earlier agreement with them and they have what is called a levy on the house contents) as well as intimidate, threaten and even break into my house to collect my stuff. It's a frightening situation. I am afraid to answer the door in my own home and I have had to tell the kids not to either, because they are not above forcing their way in past them. I have tried the police, but they say it's all legal and they cannot help me, even if these men break in (in fact, they will help THEM to do so, because I owe the money) It’s unbelievable, but it's true. I have even asked the help of a solicitor, but he says the same thing, unless the law is changed, there is nothing he can do. No one appears to be trying to find my husband, and I do not have the resources to look.
I hate having to ask, but I am terrified of these men. I can't eat or sleep and I am worried about the effect this is having on the kids.
I hope there is someone (or several people maybe) who can help me out of this mess I have been left with.

I am a homeless, honorably discharged, US Army veteran, looking for help replacing a lower back molar tooth that had to be removed due to multiple cusp fractures. A dental implant appears to be the best long term option to restore my chewing ability on this side of the mouth. This procedure is pretty expensive, possibly running in the thousands of dollars, and quite frankly, I don't have the money to pay for this. I am hoping somebody can help me get this procedure done. Firstly I would like to say this is my last resort but I am at my wits end.
I am married adore my wife and have 5 children. I have served in the army,
and when coming out 9 years ago got a general job with a reasonable salary.
I have recently been made redundant and am now 4 months behind with the

rent. My children are not needy children but are now all at school and doing

my familes head, and then hopefully love will be enough for xmas. I have
fought many wars in the army but this is the hardest by far a fight to keep

I am an economic migrant in UK and settled in UK. I have got some loans which I need to pay off. I was doing very well with paying off however recent money squeeze and rising cost of living has ended up me being short of money every month and going to work appears to be a aimless thing.
I need £50,000 to pay off my loan or any amount you feel is affordable to donate. I understand that my story appears to be like many others struggling to live but because I spent lot of money in settling down in a new country and came to the country with no financial help. I do have other responsibility of my parents who are not very well and have to help them financially sometimes and also meet the medical expenses.

I live with a very emotionally/verbally abusive "functioning" alcoholic, which means he can hold a job and appears to be normal to everyone. The town we live in is very small and everyone knows he is an alcoholic and because of his attitude not many people like him. He has to find work in other towns in the area. Two nights ago he threatened to throw me out at night. The main reason he does this is because I don't have a job. He knows I have been looking, and have applied for many jobs, but get very few calls and when I do get an interview, he goes out of his way to distress me so that I can't function well in the interview. I can't take this abuse anymore. I have no money, and all I want is to get out of here so I can start a new life. My plan is to go to a women's shelter for a few weeks, there they will help me find some support, counseling and a new doctor. I will be able to start some upgrading of my high school marks, enough so that I can take the college course of my choice, not just want I can get into now, which would be office assistant or cooking. I'm almost 50 and I need to make decent money so I can save for my old age. All I need is enough money to get out of here, and maybe rent an apartment once I'm out of the shelter. From there, I can apply for student funding, then I will be okay.

Hi i hope you can help. last yr i stupidly went guarentor for a friends loan as she was currently selling her house and in rented, she assured me (verbally) that she would pay the loan off once the house was completed. She has defaulted on the loan either paying late or incomplete since january and is now not paying at all. it now appears her house was actualy being repossesed so i feel as though i was also tricked into this. i have also found out from the loan company that she contacted them in October to change my contact details - i can only assume this was to prevent me finding out that she wasnt paying. i have paid the last two months to prevent court action, my question is would anyone out there be able to help me pay this off, i am a good person and help people myself everyday (im a paramedic) i live to my means and am in no debt myself apart from this mess that my so called friend has landed on me, i feel so silly and stupid and would never normally ask anyone for help but im so worried about this...........i can provide any information and proff needed to prove this is not a scam and i have no intention of keeping this money, i am prepared to work for the money if need be (legally of course), i do not have the option to work extra hours at work (as everyone knows the nhs has no money either) please help if you can i have tried to get them to pay, iv tried the police, the courts are not interested, the loan company just hounds me.... i have sent two recorded letters each giving 14 days notice asking them to contact myself or the loan company with their intention of paying, iv had no response to either letter. Please help me keep my family together. We're living check to check with next to nothing extra leftover. Our money issues continues to strain my marriage and I can't sleep at night due to our endless bills. Playing this game of deciding who will get paid what month is extremely draining. We're going on three very long years struggling and I sincerely don't know how much longer I can continue this way. I'm mentally exhausted. I wake up and go to bed thinking about our bills. Every time I think I'll soon see a light at the end of the tunnel something breaks down or a new bill appears. Since being diagnosed with breast cancer and treated, I've inheritted medical bills I cannot pay. We no longer pick up our phone as it's always a bill collector. The harder I try to get us caught up with our bills the more surprises come up. My husband's hours being cut even further to nearly part-time status from full-time was the final straw that led me to doing this. Ours are normal bills, nothing extravagant. I don't know how I'm going to keep up with our monthly utility bills, pay our mortgage, feed ourselves and pay for gas for us to get to work. We're hard working people, always have been. We've also always blessed others over the years without thinking twice about it. Thank you for reading about us. This has got to be the most humbling, humiliating experience ever. I just spent days creating a free website, not even knowing a site like this existed...Arrgghh!!!! Story of my life! Anyways, if you want the full gist of our story, please go to http://payitforwardtoday.webs.com. I'll try to be brief here. I figure if I'm going to ask total strangers for help, they have a right to know a little (or a lot!) about who they are helping. We are a family of 4 (plus our little Mini Daschund, who we'll call "Puppers" for the sake of privacy!) that have fallen on really hard times. We are not looking for hand outs; we are looking for a hand up! If you think it's not seriously earth shattering to realize that the best and only hope you have left is to air your dirty laundry to the world, and hope someone shows up with some detergent, then I really hope you never go through anything like this. I wouldn't wish our situation on my worst enemy on their worst day. It is truly soul crushing.

I am a wife and mother of 2 children, ages 9 and 21. Long and short of it, my oldest struggled A LOT. He was expelled from his school, and I forced him into the only other school that would take him, made him go every day until the time he got arrested. I picked up his diploma for him at his school, as he was in jail and couldn't go get it, but I am, to this day, glad that he has that diploma, and now, 4 years later, so is he. He was diagnosed as Bi-Polar while incarcerated, and mental can be so much tougher to deal with than physical. I'll always wish I had known the exact right point where his road changed to the one he travelled, and stopped it before it started. Now he is going to be a father himself, and all I can do is believe things will be ok (and wait anxiously to kiss all over my new Grandchild!!!!)

I got into trouble by with the IRS by filing taxes with my ex-husband for a couple of years. I didn't know any better, and though we were only married for a few years, and eventually had to part ways, his neglect to file or claim anything has haunted me for years. As I continued to work legitimately, his interest and penalties grew, and since the debt was considered uncollectible from him, the IRS opted to come after me. I was a single mother, unable to get child support, and losing my tax refunds to the IRS. When I reached 30, I met my current husband.

My husband has always been a hard worker, but he too has had his share of bad luck. He is a recovering alcoholic with 11 years of sobriety under his belt. His favorite catch phrase is "I'm the hardest working broke guy I know!", and it's so true. He is CONSTANTLY going; making phone calls, doing estimates, meeting with people to try to network and pick up more business. He does great work, and has had to really struggle to get his licenses, and maintain the insurances required to operate his business. He is in construction, and has had his own business (along with his partner) for about 5 years now. The past year has shown devastating loss. Basically, 9 out of 10 jobs have paid just enough to pay his 4 employees, and he and his partner end up taking home less than their employees. They are also having a hard time competing with "fly by night" construction companies who come in, promise the world for pennies on the dollar, and when they have problems a year later, the company is nowhere to be found. It's a constant battle to convince people that your workmanship and the warranty that backs it up, in addition to being a local contractor for 25+ years with a stellar reputation is worth it's weight in gold.

I am working at a really decent company now, and was thrilled to get my foot in the door. I wasn't there a month before the IRS decided to garnish my wages. Now, instead of the $500+ I would be taking home each week, I am bringing home a meager $123 per week. This has been our sole income for many weeks now, and after reviewing all of my paperwork, it appears the IRS feels I owe them in excess of $50,000!!!! This does NOT include the state taxes, which haven't caught up with me yet, but I'm sure they will. So, I have decided to stay working, even though unemployment would pay me more, because jobs are tough to come by. However, it's impossible trying to run a family by borrowing money from everyone we know, and no way to pay it back, because the money we bring in doesn't even pay the bills, the rent...it barely covers the groceries.

Can I add one more thing here? My husband, who's job is primarily getting up on a roof every day, was recently diagnosed with Vertigo. He can't drive right now, and even if jobs come in, he can't get on a roof anytime soon either. Reading through what I've written, I'm thinking to myself "I would SO think this is fake if I were reading it". I assure you, it's not. I'm not looking to bilk money from anyone, and I'm not promising anything to you in return. The only thing I AM promising is that you would honestly be helping a family in need. I know there are people worse off than us, and I thank GOD every day that I got to wake up in the morning, and that I have a family to love, and that loves me. I hope you never know how painful it is to tell your daughter that she can't go to gymnastics this time around because we don't have the money. I hope you never have to sleep on someones' couch with your child because your electricity is off, and you can't find anything valuable enough to pawn so you can pay it. I hope you never have to look in your husbands' eyes and see the pain and humiliation there because he feels he has failed your family. None of these things are things we asked to happen, but they all did. Could we have done anything differently? Sure. But who out there reading this right now has always chosen the right path? Who has NOT made errors along the way?

We are not looking to get rich. We are looking for a helping hand. We have always helped others when we have been able to, and are hoping there are others like us out there that feel the same. My primary goal is to collect enough to retain a tax attorney to help negotiate a settlement for me, so that I can finally contribute to my family, and take some pressure off of my husband. I am also hoping to pay off some utility bills we still owe, and March and Aprils' rent. That's it. Just looking to keep the little roof we rent over our heads. If we are able to get back on our feet, we'd like to pay it forward ourselves...one person, one family at a time.

Ten years ago I never imagined life for my kids would be worse today instead of better but that is what has happened to my family. After the housing bubble burst I lost my job in construction and haven't been able to find work since. Since I was considered "self-employed" I was not eligible to receive unemployment benefits so when my car broke down I could not afford to fix it. When I defaulted on my student loan payments I lost my eligibility for financial aid so I cannot return to finish college which is something I always wanted to do, and appears to be the only way out of poverty. We are about to lose our home to foreclosure and have no way to pay right now. Our utility bills are behind and this pressure is affecting our relationships to the point of arguing over the smallest thing because we never have any money.

I'm 33, hard working and I pay my bills. I've been a productive member of society and care about my community. Thanks to other people who didn't pay their bills, lived beyond their means and allowed themselves to be foreclosed on...I can't get a home loan.

It's not because my credit score is bad or because I don't have a down payment, it's because I'm self employed. It appears I am a "high risk" in the eyes of the bank. It doesn't matter that I can show that I made a profit every year in a lousy economy.

So I've had to change my method of obtaining a home. I'm going to try and do in the old fashion way...pay cash. I just need to accumulate about $6,000. and I'm set. I'm not looking to buy a mansion. Just a simple starter home/fixer upper. My lease is up in July and I don't want to be stuck here another year (no, I won't break a lease).

Please help this hard working guy in Columbus, OH. I'll be sure to pay in forward in the future...I just need a little help getting the American dream.

Good morning. My wife and I are struggling to repay our student loan debt. I am a teacher who is at home due to the weather. It's a good thing because I don't have enough gas to get to work and can't buy any for another week. Our student loan payments are so high that we can't pay electric and gas bills. Our heat is due to be shut off soon. My wife has been unable to find a job locally and has been driving an hour each way to her current job as an assistant teacher at a childcare center. The cost of gas is barely covered by her pay. I just don't know what else to do.

I love teaching (music) but our district is in financial trouble (like us) and will be making cuts for next year. It appears my job is included in the cuts. I know there are many people that are in a worse state than we are so I feel guilty for even posting this. However I know that there are people who are in a position to help and I want to be in a position to return that kindness to another someday. The right side of the face is being pushed forward and his forehead and back of his head are visibly sloped to the side. One eye appears larger because it is being pushed so far forward. This can be resolved with band treatment.

We spent almost $600 (which we really didn't have) on Physical Therapy for his torticollis, but the problem has not resolved and we now need to get him into a band (helmet). We've seen 3 different specialists and the cheapest band is $2,600. We DO have insurance (BCBS of NC), but the specific amount written into the policy for plagiocephaly is $600. We can't even get that, though, because we haven't reached the $1,500 deductible.

We simply don't know what to do. We've gotten rid of every luxury, sold items/furniture on Craigslist, reduced expenses and still haven't gotten even 1/4 of the price of a band.

If anyone can help, even $5, $10, whatever, we would be so grateful. He is a sweet baby and deserves a chance at a (somewhat normal life). It breaks my heart that I don't have money to start treatment immediately but I'm trying anything I can....
