Hello everyone, my name is Ryan and I am 18 years old. I live in Baltimore, Maryland. I suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after witnessing the sudden death of the closest person to me in the ENTIRE world, my best friend who lost his life 7 months ago. Many times I become anxious or depressed, and my SSRI medication allows me to function in a normal society. I am currently and constantly looking for work, however I have been unsuccessful in the past few weeks. I can no longer afford to pay for my medicines, and I can not afford to pay for my doctor visits. Without getting back on my medications it will be difficult to acquire a job and without income I may end up homeless. I am a 36 year old single mother of two awesome teenagers and I'm trying to fulfill a life long dream by going back to school.

For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to be an archaeologist and history professor as well as wanting to move to Norway since first reading the Prose Edda at the age of 11. Unfortunately those dreams got put on hold when I had my first child at the age of 19 and my second at 21. My children are now 15 and 17 and about to go off to university and begin their own lives and so it is time for me to revisit my dreams. This is going to consist of 3 steps each of wish I need help funding as I do not qualify for student loans/grants and cannot afford to quit my job to be elligible.

As the first step in this process I have been accepted to the University of Leicester to begin work on my BA in Ancient History and Classical Archaeology and am scheduled to begin classes on June 4th 2012 via distance education. In total the 3 year course will cost £10,350 with £1150 installments due every January, May and September 1st. Along with this one module requires me to go to England in year 2 for field school at Borrough Hill as well as a second trip over in year 3 for lab work. There is also an option to make a third trip for the graduation ceremony if funding allows. Each of these trips will cost roughly $2500 - $3000.

The second step in this plan is to complete a Master's degree in Nordic Viking and Medievil Studies at the University of Oslo in Norway. At this time UiO does not have tuition fees however they do require that international students have NOK 80,000 (roughly $13,500) per year of study. And Norwegian law prevents international students outside the EU from working while persuing their studies.

Finally the third step in the process much like the second involves doing further studies at UiO in the form of persuing a PhD in a topic related to Viking Metallurgy.

I have already taken steps to start covering costs on my own by working as much overtime as I can get (though this option is going to be limited once school starts as I will need to focus on school work) as well as moving from the house I was renting to a smaller, cheaper apartment with a roomate to cut costs. Unfortunately these measures alone aren't going to be enough to get me there. Any help you could give would be very much appreciated.

Have been a great nurse for 36 years, now unemployed and have not found a job. Certainly did not think the job problem would affect nursing. I know God has a plan for me, and hope for a sign/guidance soon. My savings are almost gone to pay bills/mortgage. Don't get me wrong, I am so blessed in many ways. Am trying not to worry, but have no health insurance, all my savings will be gone in a month and I don't know what to do. Am trying to be positive, since being out of work allows me to help my future mother in law (she is 94)My fiance and I are trying to keep feeding a colony of cats, some ferel, but some have become very loving and they all look forward to our daily visits, and the food we bring. I am a 22yr old Secondary Education English Major at a College in Mississippi I stay on campus but they do not allow anyone that is not involved in sports to stay during the weekends. I recently lost my car so now my parents or siblings have to try to come get me and the past few weeks it has been impossible I have been telling them that I was staying with a friend but I stayed in an abandoned building not far from campue and on sundays I walk back early enough so that I can take a shower before anyone else gets there. My husband and I have been married for 30 years and have grown children. Most of our excess money goes toward helping them and the grandchildren. In the meantime our kitchen floor is almost falling through in three spots, our bathroom has mold all around the top of the walls and all our windows are completely molded. There is at least a half inch open space in our doors that allows cold/heat in so our electric bills are outrageous. My car stopped on me, I have two kids here with me and I cannot be without my car. I'm begging for someone to please help me. I blew the engine driving it with no oil. There is no way that I can afford to have this car fixed. I asked someone to check the oil for me prior to this happening and I was told that there was oil in the car. I'm sorry. I am a single parent to two boys one 8 and a 1 year old. I work full time and I go to school in pursuit of my associate degree in human services. I just received my daycare bill from my provider who allows for me to pay for daycare annually and it is $2,885 of which I cant afford. Daycare wasn't as much when I only had one child going. My twin sister desperately needs my help, but I'm in poverty and I have medical issues. I'm having a really hard time giving her much help.

First off, she is barely 21 years old and such a beautiful, lovely young lady. She always, no matter what, tries to be good to everyone, no matter what she has been through, and she has been through a lot. She has a lot of talents, including singing, songwriting, journalism, and poetry. I love my sister!

Unfortunately, she just became a struggling single mom with a newborn baby. She loves her beautiful baby so much and cares so much for him. If I ever have a baby, I wish I could be as strong and caring of a mom as she is. She puts her whole heart into his care.

She's been through a lot in the past year as well. Before she became pregnant, she was hit by a car and lost her job, all the while being confronted with huge medical bills. She can walk now, but has a permanent weakness in her leg and it hurts sometimes for her.

She now has absolutely no support from the father, and thankfully, he is out of the picture due to incarceration. I was aware of the fact that he was always a little "off", but she recently revealed many secrets to me, and he was aggressive and very emotionally abusive to her. He even stole from her! He hurt her very much.

She's staying at my mother's, which, is normally a good thing, but, this is NOT a good situation she is in. It is not very safe, constructive, or loving at my mother's. I worry for her being alone and having been through so much. I know she feels so upset, and it pains me that I can't be by her side. I also worry that the father might try to come back and hurt her if he gets a chance. She is stuck there and she needs to get out, soon.

So, dear stranger, my sister needs your help. She wants to do so much for the world, go to school, learn a lot, and contribute to society. She has a lot of dreams. She just needs that jump start. She needs to get started first.

Im currently a full time nursing school student with a graduation date set April 2012. Scentsational Bliss is an event planning company with a twist. At our parties our clients get to make products like lip gloss, lotion, and body mist. We do Princess, Diva parties and Mad Scientist parties for boys just to name a few. We provide decor, games, food. The decor includes chair covers, table cloths, balloons, etc. The client picks fragrances and labels and decorates the bottles and containers. We have different packages to fit the needs of our clients. There is currently not a business like this in my area that allows the client to make products for their events.
After three months of business we have had eight successful parties. However, we are seriously in need of funding to keep up with the demand. We need additional supplies to keep going. What can I say. There are many people here with sad stories of their misfortune. Mine is no better or worse.
