Alexa is mother of 4 (3-Amanda, 4-Kasey, 7-Kimberly and 9-Ava years old.
Her 7 year old daughter Kimberly
is currently on dialysis, and has been diagnosed with Leukemia. In July of 2007 Alexis lost her oldest sister when passed away from breast cancer. At that time she took in her two children. Sadly, in June 2008 Alexisâ husband was diagnosed with throat cancer. In October 2008 her husband Michael lost his battle with cancer.
In February of 2009, Alexis and her family moved in with her grandfather. He had recently lost his wife (her grandmother) from heart failure. Shortly after that, he became very ill and suffered 2 strokes. Alexis was working full-time, and taking care of him and her children. He had become very forgetful, and he hadnât been taking care of his medications. In August of 2010 he had another stroke that was so bad that his mouth completely twisted to one side, and he was in a wheelchair. December of 2010, he suffered a massive stroke and died.
All of Alexis life, she has been a wonderful sister and friend. She has always been there for so many of us when we needed her. The family is struggling to survive daily. Kimberly has been so brave through all of this. Kimberly was born with a deformed kidney that had to be
removed, and she is currently awaiting a transplant. This has been a hard time for her fighting leukemia, and losing her father at 4 years old. Everything has been difficult on the family during this time. Alexisâ has tried everything including collecting cans to make extra money for the family. Kimberlyâs excessive medical expenses have made it extremely difficult for the family.

My name is Alexis.. I have temporary custody of my son Lucas.. Child services and the police were called due to his father abusing him..He is in my full time care til I get a court order. Child services is going to make two visits a week randomly to check how Lucas' life is with me..Lucas wants to live with me.I unfortunately got laid off in Feb 2009, then my ex cut my child support in half against the court order..I applied over 1700 jobs..had paid over 22 thousand on my car only had 3 thousand left..My car was repossessed on New years eve day 2010.I got this apartment when i had a job..Never lived beyond my means. I clean homes, babysit, petsit..do odd jobs..Today I got home and my son saw a 3 day notice on our door to pay the rent or get out. I have asked everybody for help..We do have foodstamps.Because child services is involved I have to show them a stable home because he will be given back to his dad or possibly go into foster care.. PLEASE PLEASE help us pay our rent.that is 2 months past due....so we don't have to go into a shelter.I'm doing everything in our power to change the situation.Thank you...and my son Lucas thanks you as well.
