I need help

Posted by Dannibe7 on 2012-05-20 07:58:31

I am 23 years old and I am a junior and a mathematics major. I have currently ran into some financial trouble. I moved away to a different state and had to pay out of state tuition. This caused me to go into credit card debt and other debts as well. I am able to go to school in the fall as an in state student finally, after a year and a half, and I really need help. I need help paying for my books, firstly. After that I really need to get out of debt. Every dime that I have been made has been going towards getting out of debt, but it doesn't seem to be making a dent. I am about to be turned over to a collection agency if I can't pay some of my debt off by june 1st. I am very stressed and very scared. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time.

Hello, I am so uncomfortable doing this. I am a 42 year old woman with two wonderful toddler boys ages 3 and 2. My troubles started in 2010 during my pregnancy with my second child. I became very sick and the doctors were unable to find the cause. During the search for a cause I was diagnosed with Lymphoma, but the cause was finally identified when I gave birth two months prematurely. I will not go into graphic detail, but I came out of the hospital 7 weeks later, with shortbowel syndrome and other serious problems. My son thankfully was fine and is thriving. I worked for a government agency for 16 years, and suddenly found myself surviving on disability. I must add that my husband was not much of a help. We are currently seeking to get divorced after 5 years of marriage. Through my illnesess he has been verbally, emotionally and on occasion physically abusive. I prolonged the divorce due to my health conditions and he is a good father to our children. My, what I thought was an upstanding, husband lost his job in 2009 and has not worked since but some small jobs. Even though he has worked, he has barely contributed to supporting the family. I have managed to keep the family afloat by paying the critical bills. What I haven't been able to pay is:

*our monthly condo maintanence fee of $258.00 for the past 3 months.
*I have a $160.00 car insurance payment due on 6-10-12, this will keep my paid until 10-10-12.
*The divorce attorney is asking for a $2500.00 retainer.
*June health insurance of $555.00.
*The numerous unpaid medical expenses.

I make it happen with the rest of the things my boys and I need. In July of 2012 I will recieve Medicare, since I will then have been on disability for 2 years. I think that will make things somewhat easier on me. As a note, lymphoma is not being treated right now. Thank goodness the nodules have remained stable, though if there is any change I will probably have to start some sort of treatment.

Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated. Since almost dying in 2010, I have a renewed faith in God (though I have always been a believer). I know that God walks beside me and my children and the He watches over us. Prayers to all that are on this site, whether asking for help or giving it.

About to be evicted just had a newborn, we have no where to go!

My husband and I just welcomed our first daughter into the world on April 18'th. I am currently unemployed and he had to take a week off while she was born. His work has also been cutting hours this past month so our pocket was really hurt. We weren't able to pay our rent this month so now the fees are adding up. By the end of the month we will owe 998.00 total with 600.00 added on for next months rent and we don't have it. I am so scared. We have no family to help us and every agency we have turned to either can't help or are out of funds. We already have one broken lease and bad credit so our options on finding a new place to go are slim to none. If anyone could help me keep a roof over my daughter's head I would be forever grateful!!!

ANY Help is Appreciated

I never really had any monetary problems until now. Over the years I have helped my family & friends until I have gotten myself into a hole that I can't seem to get out of. I used my income to provide help to others and used credit cards to pay for my own daily expenses which was a very foolish thing to do. I am currently taking care of a disabled aunt and am unable to pay bills AND buy food. I owe a total of $16,000 to credit card companies and am working with a a credit counseling agency to consolidate these bills into one monthly payment. Until I can get this situation under control ANY help at all is appreciated. Thank you and God Bless.

Hopping for a better situation

I am a 32 yr old mother of 3 who has never been in a situation of desperation such as the one I am about to present to you.  Early last year I worked at a job which paid more than enough money to take care of me and my children.  The problem was that the hours were from 3p-3a, which gave me no time to spend with my kids.  My oldest which is of school age only seen me on tue & Wed, which were my only days off, the rest of her time was spent with my sitter.  My job also had me work holidays and sad to say their birthdays as well.  Soon my daughters grades began to drop and my young children no longer wanted to spend time with me.  They cried for the babysitter and soon started calling me by my first name.  I went to my job and pleaded with them for a schedule change, they declined stating that my personal life wasnt their problem and they have 1000's of people who would love to take my place.  So I was forced to make a decision between money and my kids, I chose my kids.  I quit my job after saving enough money to pay the bills for a couple of months while I search for a job with earlier hours.  I felt this shouldn't be a problem due my previous work experience and my associates degree.  The 3 months I had given my self passed by very quickly without me finding new employment.  Because tax time was approaching and my lease was almost up I decided to use my tax money to find a much cheaper home (unfortunately in a much less appealing neighborhood) and use the rest of the money to pay for rent and utilities for another 3 months.  I have no family who can help me out and my kids father is nowhere around.  I have yet to find employment despite the many interviews and applications I have done.  A truck recently cracked the windshield on my car, my tires are bald, and the engine is going bad.  I cannot afford to fix these things and am now desperate to find a job before I lose my transportation. I would love for a great job lead or even an agency which can help me. A small donation would also help and if you send me your email address, as soon as I get on my feet I am willing to pay it back. For those who read this if u know of some job leads please forward it to me, thank you!!

Need assistance with paying bills this month

Posted by janmar32 on 2012-04-28 13:58:22

I am not usually in a bind. Work with an agency and work was slow for the past few weeks and somehow I got short on money. I am a mother of 4 and have been keeping up with finances pretty good. Was just sitting here thinking I needed a few dollars to pay bills coming up and just googled my thoughts and found this site. I only need about $300 to take care of my rent and electric bill that are both due at beginning of next month. Would really appreciate the help and will definitely keep up with this site to help out others who are in need in the future. Planning to start one of those money groups in my area so a few of us can contribute money weekly and share, to help make things easier. Thanks. If someone loans me any money, I will definitely pay it back.

RENT DUE & LIGHTS DUE - NEED $1200

Posted by PigsNotFlying on 2012-03-29 15:58:36

Hello, I'm a married mother of 4. My husband recently moved out of state for work and will not be paid for 3 weeks (meager wages of $9 per hour)! Either way, I'm self-employed and usually have hours to work but for the past month I have had none. My rent is $1890 I have only $900 and my light bill is $154. Community Action Agency I was referred to by HUD does not have funds to assist with rental assistance at this time. It must be paid by the 3rd no later than 5pm ET.

Hello there fellow earthlivers,

Before I will begin my letter I will first introduce myself. My name is Mike, I am 16 years old and from the Netherlands, if you are a millionaire or just someone that can afford it to give away money I encourage you to continue reading. I know it already sounds it will be like a ''begging letter''. And yes it kinda will be like that. There are people that will need money more than I am, but I am bold enough to ask for it. The U.S. census bureau estimates the world population passed 7 billion on March 12, 2012. There is no doubt possible that there are some very kind persons that awards this to other people. I would like to have a starting capital, so I don't have to work that hard anymore to achieve things. Life is just about working hard so after some time if you have saved some money you can do or buy that one thing you would like to have. You just live life once, and I think you should just live it up as you wanted to. But unfortunately you can't because there are to many rules in the way and don't forget about the money you will need to do this. Fortunately I am doing a good study, so I hope this will lead me to a good job in the future. I already said I would like to have a starting capital. I am working as a postman now, but that will just edify this starting capital a little bit. My parents are both working, but they haven't the ''best'' job either. My dad has his own construction business, but he is just working on his own he has no staff. All the money that he earns goes straight to a house that he must rebuild. He wanted to do buy houses and rent them immediately. This went well just a couple of times. But 10 years ago he did put his money in a wrong house what's even nice to say. And it still isn't finished yet. The walls and roof are there but on the inside is a lot to do. If there would be some money that will be donated, I will certainly give something to my father. I would like to start this buy and rent a house progress too, if everything goes well you can earn some nice extra money with it. My mother schedule dates at a rating agency, she is working 3 days a week, to sustain us and do the payments for the house. Now you know a little bit of the things where it was mostly about, I hope you understand it well and I will wait for answers. If you have any questions (maybe something like this: I don't believe the house story, can you send me pictures of it?) feel free to ask me. Please help keep Memories of those Children Alive.

Posted by InMemoryCPS on 2012-03-07 03:58:25

Children Protective Services - the government agency paid to protect children from abusers - failed those children. Children were under the care of a state agency, but that didn't prevent their deaths.
Let's NOT allow these precious children's death to be in vain - in the news one day, forgotten the next .Learn more about them.....Please read their stories. suncanaa.com

I am unable to manage my site anymore [ due to lack of money]. It breaks my heart to do that,7 years of my work to be shut down with one click. But more important the memory about those children to be wipe of. I spend so much of my time and energy on this issue, trying to protect their memories and make awareness. Now I feel like I failed those children too.

I lost my job over a year ago,I am still trying to find a new job. I have not had any luck, now I touched the bottom. Keeping this website alive and update is almost full time job,I spend at least 4-5 hours online every night, researching and collecting information. I want to continue my work but how to continue in this situation?

If you found my site useful please help keep SuncanaA.com up and running by making a donation. Your donation will be used to maintain the site, expand and improve the content, add new features and preserve the site for future generations.Thank you for your generosity, support and encouragement. -- The work of the SuncanaA.com would not be possible without the generous support of people like you.

Could be homeless soon!

Posted by CountryGal8096 on 2012-02-25 21:58:38

I am in a desperate situation and could be out on the streets if help isn't found. I started getting sick in April of last year and didn't know what was wrong with me. After being hospitalized in June I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. I was again hospitalized in July. I became very ill in October with severe symptoms and nearly committed suicide, but was saved by the help of a friend and having a good doctor. Due to illness I was unable to be productive at work and lost my job in November. I am now stable on meds and am ready to work. I will begin my new job on March 5th, but I am so behind on rent and most likely will not be able to start paying a significant amount of past due rent until well after the eviction process has started. I'm scared I have nowhere to go but a homeless shelter and the curfew conflicts with my new job. My sister shares my apartment but is unable to pay my half of the rent. We are destitute at this point...our gas is being shut off Thursday unless we can find an agency to help us. We were awarded food stamps, but it takes 7-10 days to get the card and we are surviving on what my dad can get, local food banks, and begging my ex for what limited help he can give. I will be working soon like I said, I'm not lazy, I got sick which I did not choose. Any help is appreciated. Thank you and God Bless!

Broken furnace

Posted by yuki003 on 2012-02-20 19:58:50

Hi my name is Jeff I live here in NV. I’m not sure about this, I never been in such a need for money before let alone having to ask is not easy for me, I know a lot of people are struggling. Not too long ago we had the best economy in the US, now it is the worst. Getting a full time job here is almost impossible, my wife used to be an Accountant; I use to work as a service technician for a water company. My wife got laid off 3 yrs ago and now works pt. for Jack in the Box. I got laid off 2 yrs ago. It took me 6 months just to find pt. work for a Rent a Car agency. We managed ok using are credit cards hoping things would become better. We ended using all are credit and had to file bankruptcy. To make matters worse I ended up getting fired from my pt job, Due to a sleep disorder from depression and anxiety I have, I ended up crash testing too many of our rental cars. We are now 3 months behind on our Mortgage about $2400 And to top it off our home furnace went out 2 months ago we have nothing left for any expenses, its taking everything we have left to pay our bills and child support in which I refuse to get behind on my son and wife are my life, I just wish we could feel warm again. Our furnace could be repaired for about $2000 but any donation would be very grateful. Thank you so much Jeff

Need help paying credit card bills....

I need help paying my credit card bills. I am a few months behind, so I owe $300.00, and now have their collection agency after me. That is all I really need so that I can pay my bills. I am a teacher and have been able to pay my bills for years, but we have had our salary reduced and now I have to choose between mortgage and credit card bills.

Drowning In Debt, Please Help

Posted by XandraHM on 2012-02-17 03:58:00

Hi,
Whoever you are, thanks for reading this post and if you choose to do so, your donation.

Let me just make my story short and simple. A few months ago, my parent's power was shut off due to a late paid electric bill. Wanting to help my parent's out I willingly shelled out the $1000. Unfortunately, I had an apartment contract that I was unable to cancel and it ironically was the same amount. Since I was unable to pay the apartment complex, I was turned over to a collection agency. Now the bill keeps mounting higher and higher and I'm looking for a job, but so far with no luck. I'm getting married in June and I don't want to burden my fiance with this debt; he really doesn't deserve it as it was my own fault for not paying off my own debt before paying someone else's.

I take full responsibility for the mess I've gotten myself into, but I know with your help I can overcome this and be back on my feet again.

Thank you for your help!

Under threat of eviction

Hello,
I am a single mom, with a disabled child. I was hit with a double surprise last month in the loss of 2 of our social security checks. I had intended to pay the past due water bill last month, but this situation threw a monkey wrench into an already precarious situation. According to social security, we lost the checks because my son turned 16. These agencies never pre-warn you, and if they even attempt to notify you, they send multiple conflicting information, which is not clear on what they are doing.
Because the water has been turned off, and the bill finalized, I now have to pay a total of 343 in order to have the service restored. The utilities company contacted my landlord, who has issued a 7 day notice to me because the lease says that I cannot have the utilities turned off for any reason.
I trust God, and I know He will come through for me somehow, because He's never failed me, but I am getting a bit concerned, as I have exhausted all options. God usually moves very strongly when that happens, so when I saw this site, I figured I'd try it, because you never know what direction He will move from.
The local assistance agency says they can see the loss of income that created this emergency, but want me to provide proof of income replacement in order to get the assistance; which I cannot yet do as I am still unemployed and seeking work.
It's amazing to me; the timing of this. After being forced to wait almost an entire year, due to lack of finances; to take my licensing exam and pay for my license to work, I chose to sacrifice a bit on the bill in order to do this, because I cannot work without the license. I did the right thing, and did not break the law in violating that rule, but waited until I could get my license to practice massage therapy. Now, I am facing the loss of our home. Even if I attempt to set up advertising, the arrangement will take more than 7 days to set up the deals and get the clientele in, and I won't get paid until the clientele have redeemed their deals. My license just arrived, and the doctor that was going to hire me, has "changed the direction of his business." So needless to say, my time is limited and I need some immediate help to remedy this situation. I appreciate your time and interest in reading this, and any assistance you can offer. God bless.

Need rent

Posted by worklesswitch on 2012-01-25 13:58:42

I have taken pride in being able t pay my own bills and always saw to it my rent and all was paid first out of my paychecks.
On December 23 201l, I went to work as usual on ly to leave work that day without a job. Everyone fears this.
I am now 5 weeks behind in rent and am about to be thrown on the street. I go out every day seeking work but there just does not seem to be anything out there. I have applied for shipping and receiving jobs for which I have experience, but apparently 10 years is not enough experience.
I would much rather be working so any job leads would be greatly appreciated. I have to prioritize and keeping a roof over my head is also a high priority. I will even consider some type of work that I can do at home without a computer if necessary. I need to get the rent paid and get a steady income. There are jobs that I could do but could not apply for because I don't have the years of experience the employer wants. I realize that there are many people in need. I don't have family or friends to fall back on like most people. I have been pretty much a loner.
$525.00 would pay the back rent and help me keep my place. I tried to go to Family Independent Agency but they won't help until I can get a job. My past employer is fighting my unemployment and it is now in the protest stage. I had hoped to have it by now.

Please help me move out of our mouldy rented home!

I am a 32 year old woman and i live with my 14 year old daughter and my 40 year old fiance of 12 years! We have always had money problems because whilst i have worked in retail, my fiance has had trouble finding a permanent full time job. I have been the breadwinner all of this time. We now have stable, permanent full time jobs and are working hard to pay off our debts that have been building up.

During the past 6 and a half years we had to downgrade our property and rent a small damp home in a rough part of town. The mould is getting increasingly worse and i have to de-mould the walls and windows every 3 weeks. The house smells damp and it is hard to retain the heat as there is no double glazing. The agency is aware of the problem but the landlord doesnt want to shell out any money to fix the cause of the mould/damp so has given us a dehumidifier!!
We are too embarrassed to invite friends or family over and likewise so is my daughter.

My fiance and i have been working to pay off all the debts that built up (£2,000 rent arrears £1,500 water rates, £500 council tax and a £1,500 electric bill). Thankfully we only owe £500 rent now and aim to pay this off by the end of may.

What we will struggle to do is save up a deposit for our next rented property. It will probably be about £1,000 for a months rent in advance and a deposit. We will get our deposit back from this house which is £380, and we will save as much as poss ourselves. We would all really like to move before summer as this house only has a tiny backyard and it doesn't even get any sunlight. The washing doesn't even dry out there!!
Any donations would be greatfully received and very much appreciated. The sooner we move, the better!
