I have tried in many ways asking for help to keep my utilities on . I really am disabled and only have a very small income at this time . I am waiting on Social Security disability but that can take 8 more months so I am going to try a different approach to asking for help, instead of asking for one person to donate all I need I am asking each person who comes across this ad and reads it to send me one US nickle, heck even a US penny will do, it all adds up and if enough people send me a penny or a nickle I will be able to catch up my utilities so I do not loose my rent assistance and end up homeless. Yes this is for real, times are tough and I understand people just don,t have money to give right now, but anyone can afford a penny, a stamp, and an envelope. I give my word it will be put on utility bills and real needs such as glasses to see. Thanks and God Bless. Please No scammers, I am tired of scammers answering my ads. I thought of calling up some old boyfriends to say: "Things are looking pretty grim. We were young and lovely once. Now I'm haggard and broke and I can't pay the rent," but they'd think it was a crank call and hang up.

Like so many people here, I search for and apply to jobs non-stop (can you date job ads? I so, then I have some sort of beautiful-if-dysfunctional, long-term relationship with them), but, at the moment have bupkiss (Yiddish for "zilch.")

6 months ago we responded to an ad on Craigslist. It was for property managers in Fl. We accepted the position sight unseen and in good faith. With my wifes health getting worse and having a hard time working. This seemed like a good thing. We took our savings and left for Florida. Well when we got there it turned out to be a scam. Lesson very well learned! We ended up in south Ga with her sister. I recently started a job that requires travel. our car is up for repossession due to our payments falling behind. I have tried to make payments when I started working and they said it was to late so I am using the car till they come and take it. We have financed 2 other cars with them and always on time. I wonder if the people that work in those places ever fell on hard times. I am not sure if that is the right thing but I honestly did try to catch up. When they take my car I will not be able to travel. This job is not very steady but it is work till I find another. I am looking for work in the Albany Ga area. I graduated in 2009 with a degree in Digital entertainment and game design. This degree covers web design, animation, game design, 3d animation and modelling. I also have a degree in music performance with some skill in music composition. I want to be a 3d animator. my goal is to start by making small psa ads, cheap online games and iphone/android apps, and short films. I have the talent and the training to do this in a way that puts out completely original music and visuals. This is the second step in my ultimate goal of working for a game company designing games and ads.

Unfortunately, graduation did not come with the tools to start out. I need professional versions of these products so that I have no trouble with marketing and selling my work:

I also need a desktop computer capable of running the full versions of these programs. A Macintosh would be ideal, with a touch screen monitor so that I can use my monitor like a drawing board, and a MIDI capable keyboard so that I can do composition.

I need all the help I can get. I have student loans that need paying off, and I know that I can really make some money if only I had the right tools.

Actually ... I have a job, I use the money for that to pay for all my necessities. I just want some money to plan a trip to Korea!~~~

I am 62 years old. An auditor by trade but would do any kind of PT/FT work except there seems to be no work. Ads read if unemployed do not apply. What! Are you kidding me? Used up retirement by year 2 in 2009. Lost our home, cars, money, credit, credit rating, self esteem but I still have God in my life. The fire of hope is still burning but I must admit it is more like smoldering coals. My wife has polysistic kidney disease & there is no cure. I hate asking for help because I know there are thousands just like me and some worse off than me but here goes, if you can assist please help. There is no help for those like me from the government other than a little medical help. I have retired on SS and now I earn too much for any help. Go figure. I am not looking for money, although I would take any help, I am looking for WORK. The government has no idea how many people are really unemployed or under-employed.

I hate doing this, but here goes. I am a recovering drug addict. I have not used any drugs since March 2003. I was a Registered Nurse in California and lost my license due to my addiction. I was arrested in March of 2003 for possession. I was required to go to out patient counseling for drug addiction by my county of residence. This counseling I believe saved my life. I looked for any job and after months of searching, I landed a job working with Buck Owens Enterprises delivering Camera Ads Magazine to local businesses around my area. Quite a change from being an Emergency Room R.N. As you can imagine my income dropped dramatically. After losing my license and thus my livelihood, I needed a new career. I decided to go to school. Aided by The California Department of Rehabilitation, I went to California State University, Bakersfield and earned a certificate in Drug and Alcohol Studies. Soon I started working in the California Prison System as a Substance Abuse Counselor. That was in 2008. I continue to work in this capacity.

A few years prior to my arrest I began working for myself as a contract R.N. And, because I was very heavy into my addiction, I was not taking care of my business responsibilities and not paying my taxes as I should. Now the State of California has attached my wages for back taxes of $4900.00 and the IRS is wanting back taxes of about $21,000.00.

I love my new work as a Substance Abuse Counselor and feel I am making a difference in turning prisoners lives around. I want to reapply for my R.N. license and use it in conjunction with my Counseling for co-occurring disorders,(mental illness with drug addiction). I am sure the California State Board of Registered Nursing would not look well on my owing back taxes.

I am almost 56 years old now and see no hope of paying these back taxes anytime soon. For this reason I am asking help. I need approximately $25,000.00 to pay off all back taxes and follow my dream. I have never had to beg before in m life. I can't believe I have to resort to this tactic at the age of 55 years old. Exhausting all my savings.

Here is my story.. In April 2008 I was laid off my Shop Manager job for a construction company after 5 years employment.

Shortly after I was only able to secure a Desk Clerk job at a old run down former Holiday Inn, here in Salina, KS.with a room as part of the compensation. After 2 years of employment there they had a infestation of bed bugs and the owner wouldn't do anything about it and I was really ate up by them, didn't know why I had bites all over me until I visited the emergency room. Upon returning to work I asked the owner to pay the hospital emergency room bill of $380. He said he would but still hasn't done so after presenting the bill to him.

I was able to get $106. a week unemployment though which put me living out of my 1989 Jeep pickup that I had. I built a box on the back that I cared my positions and slept in a Wal-Mart parking lot. I put ads on craigslist for house painting and got very few jobs but once in a while I could get a room so I could clean up and get some relief from the heat that summer sometimes hitting 106 degrees.

Finally August 5,2010 I found a job at a Car Detail shop and was able to get a cheap motel room. This is hard work now for a 55 year old man, but I persisted even though finding out the owner was a drunk. I came in on pay day one day in September only to be fired because he didn't have the money to pay the help. Even after filing a complaint with the Kansas Labor board he has managed to avoid payment.

Then I meet a man that had an old house for sale that was willing to help me out and I was able to make a deal to buy the small home for $2500. , $500. and $100. a month till paid for. No gas , No electric, No Water, it was a wreck none the less a shelter for the winter coming up. I put a ad on craigslist to sell my truck so I could make the deal and within a week a couple had purchased my truck and I was able to make the down payment and moved the few things I had left in and make a bed. The neighbors were nice people and insisted on running a electric cord through the window so I would have lights and I had a little electric heater to stay warm.

I was still running the ad on craigslist for painting and through the grace of god got a pretty good painting job that netted me $1300. After waiting 4 weeks to get paid for that job ( the company said the check was buried under paperwork on his desk when I called the day before Thanksgiving wondering why I hadn't received the check) right..

Any way I paid the payments up till February 2011

In November the city heard I was living in the house with out electric, gas and water and sent me a notice and posted a notice to vacate the premises with in 30 days or be fined $500. I called them and said I was working on it and they gave me till December to have it up to code and inspected for $150 city fee. I didn't know what to do but kept applying for jobs and praying for someone to call and have some painting done. A friend of mine was a electrician and came over and told me what I need to pass the electric inspection. I called around and there was one company that would do all the inspection so I scheduled the inspections and passed the electric December 24 2011 and I called to have it turned on and they couldn't do it till the 26th, all gone for holiday. The gas line was a different story, the plumbing company spent two day correcting the problem and left me with a bill of $1400. that I have only been able to pay $40. on.

A 50 year old man I had made friends with Russ, while working the motel told me he had to quit work because he
was dying from hepatitis and didn't know what he was going to do, he had been homeless while I was for a while, so I told him he could move in 2nd week of February 2011, he was waiting on unemployment and should be coming in any time now, But the motel wouldn't let him stay with out paying.

He did get a good size unemployment back payment and 2 days before the utilities were to be disconnected we got the utilities and the house payment caught up.

Because of the unemployment he was getting SRS has cut off his and my food assistance and he has been denied disability and has to get a lawyer to handle it. I have been applying to every job and submitting my resume to every job online and in the local paper with not 1 interview. I do have a company that said they will call me as soon as they get some work themselves.

Russ my roommate will get to were they have to extract the water that builds up around his organs. The Dr said he has anywhere from 1-2 years to live and I would like to make him as comfortable as possible. I cook all the meals and take him to Dr appointments and to pick up his medication.

The gas is all ready going to be shut off this next week because we missed a payment on the cold weather agreement and now owe $689.35

Setting up the website below is likely the most practical avenue that I can take at this point. I am caught in the payday loan trap. My overall credit rating is low. I have somewhere between $20,000 and $30,00 of overall debt. At the same time, I have a stable job in the professional world, while I also do some independent freelance work in my field on the side. Both of my checking accounts are in the negative right now. I have regular bills coming due very soon! So, I am utilizing the Internet to ask folks to donate money to me with respect to my present circumstances.

I will use the money for my immediate financial needs, to pay the payday loan companies, to start paying down my overall debt at a better pace, and to invest in my independent freelance work. I had thought about asking for folks to consider the possibility of providing a direct personal loan for my own emergency needs, debt consolidation, etc., but I am not sure if that is wise. However, this sort of loan could be used for consolidation. In the big picture, it might be best to ask for donations, be thankful for what I receive, and focus on earning money in as many legitimate/legal/ethical ways as possible.

Desperate times call for desperate measures and now is the time. I have exhausted all of my options and resouces. (not that I had many to begin with) I have been seeking employment while going to school for well over a year now and have had no success. Ive even posted ads on craigslist to do odd jobs and sell things I own for cheap but have gotten nothing in return but spam. I really need assistance to help me get on my feet.
