I run a day centre for children

Posted by akalbion on 2012-05-11 03:58:03

I run a weekly day centre for under priviliged children in and around the local area.

I fund the cost of hiring the room and the cost of any products or equipment which may be required..

I want to take the kids on a day trip if possible or do a really fun activity with them but dont have the available funds to do so..

Any small donation would help massively and would put a smile on everyones face.

thank you for your kindness.

22 female single w rare tumor

Posted by isitoveryet on 2012-01-20 06:58:09

I am 22 years old I have a rare recurring tumor, Desmoid Tumor or a aggressive fibromatosis. I so far have had two removed. They are very aggressive and not many people, if any, know how to truly treat them. My last surgery my left chest wall was removed and replaced with metal gortex, two upper ribs and my left collar bone removed and a muscle rotated up to my breast area for cushioning. I am, or was, a cosmetologist but I just cannot do it anymore due to surgeries. I have been denied disability twice. My boyfriend of two years left me. I am struggling and feel hopeless. I have enrolled at community college but I do not receive financial aid. I feel like the more good I try doing the more I get burned or don't succeed. On top of everything my medical bills are sky high, credit is terrible, my teeth need so much work I am in consistent pain. I have an absess right now and to get just me out of pain and what needs to be done on my lower left teeth is 6500 all my teeths damaged getting fixed is estimated 27,659. It is one thing after another. I just spent the whole day in ER last friday because I had a miscarraige. Im emotionally ruined. I still am trying to keep trucking along but I don't know how strong I can stay. I fear I will lose my home and it is my ONLY sense of security. I don't even have my own car. hardly any clothes, I don't do anything activity wise becuase I save what I can. I really need help and guidance. I just don't know anymore :(

please help save us!any donations will keep our family alive!

Racing Sponsorship in the Pacific Northwest

Posted by racer-n-need on 2012-01-17 01:58:35

Sponsorship has been in integral part of racing for years.
Racing can get expensive. There are many items that need to be taken care of just to get out and race. You have to get a car, strip it completely, get it running (buy parts, tires, fuel) and even paint it! (someone has to paint the Sponsors name on the car). You have to store the car someplace when it is not in use, and you need a shop to work on the car. On race day, after you already paid the entry, you have to get the car to the race track, and bring it back home with you to prepare for the next race. You have to provide a scorer and crew, all of which is separate admission to the track, and feeding the crew and keeping fluids in them helps keep them on their toes to make any quick fixes! All of this, and all the time spent by all the team members add up, and most if it comes from our own pockets. Now go one step further and multiply this by about 36 races for the season, It adds up. That's why we need Sponsor Help.

Why Sponsor Us?
By Sponsoring us (or any other racing team), there are several benefits. A presence in racing business. Advertising before, during and after every race. The Car, Driver and/or Crew can schedule special appearances at your place of business for promotional purposes. You even get support from us, the team members and crew. When you sponsor us, you sponsor the team, and your visible pretty much the entire race! Lastly, When we win a race, YOU win a race!
Be a Sponsor!!
We offer several sponsor packages to suit various needs. They're not written in stone, so we can customize your package to suit your specific needs. We take our Sponsors seriously. Without you we can't make this happen!
Doesn't have to be Cash!
We have a many costs to cover.Parts, Tires, Gas, Tow, Entry Fees, Pit Crew Fees, License's, etc. or even just plain hard working talent. Whatever can be donated to helping the team counts!
Benifits of becoming involved in our race team as a sponsor.
We would be happy to display the race car at your place of business or any activity you may have such as a company picnic or special sales event.
And, of course, your company name or logo displayed on the side of the race car. Your company name will be exposed to as many as 1,500 race fans every week. These are local people that spend thier money locally.
We would accomodate any other special arrangements that a potential sponsor may require. Again, our agreement could be totaly negoitable in order to best serve the advertising needs of the sponsor.

Ya know I didn't realize that such a site was available until 10 minutes ago.some hope has been thrown my way and I thank you for that.Today is the day.I will be standing in front of my landlord at some point on this day and although my situation is real and understanding,I'll be honest and say that if I was my landlord I wouldn't want to be hearing these words.Name is Jeff.I was involved in an auto accident on May 23,2011.Rolled my SUV on my way to work in San Antonio,TX.Bout 6 1/2 hours from my home.Don't know what happened. Can't remember.Broken ribs, punctured lung, cracked spine they say. Finally was able to get out of bed 2 days ago. Can't use my left arm very well which is a big problem as my job is a real hands on activity.I work outage repairs at power plants.Would love to get back to work but reality has made me see that getting back in the game is going to be an experience that I have not been through before.I served 6 years in the Marine Corps and have been bullet proof everyday since bootcamp.Or so I thought I was.My employer offered to put me on lay off status which would help in getting unemployment benefits but the rules say you have to be physically able to go to work when offered employment. That's out.I have applied for temporary disability through the social security office but the fact that it is government which makes it a little slow, sounds to me to have any chance of qualifying for disability you have to be 100% down and from now until retirement age. That is when disability ends and old age begins. Also I think I can say without a doubt that a check from those people won't be here today.I have been married to a really wonderful lady for 25 years and she is helping with all she has got but it just won't make it.On top of her efforts she and I also have two boys.13 and 6.Working when she can, taking care of me and the boys is really putting her to the test but she's doing it.Just not enough for her to make the difference.I'm going on too much I'm thinking so here it is.$2000.00 would get us through today and several more.I really hate this believe it. but this is where we are right now.Really needing some help.Thank's for your time.

My husband needs back surgery.

Posted by Wendy on 2011-05-25 14:58:32

My husband desperately needs back surgery. We have fought with our insurance co. for 3 years now and we just found out our insurance has ended. We have 3 small children, we live in a trailer on a rented lot. (If we had a home we would mortgage it for the $60,000 surgery) He is in pain daily, somehow managing to have some normality but then he can have a spasum that drops him to the floor in tears. This happens in front of our children which is very scary for them. This surgery can bring him back to 100% of his activity before his injury. Please help us!
Wendy and family
I have NEVER EVER done this before but I ran across this site and figured I have nothing to loose trying. "Where there is a will there is a way!" Where to start? Sighhh...
I am the sweetest, sensitive, charitable, loving, giving, God Fearing, non judgemental, lover, encourager lady.. Many of my closest friends and family call me an "Angel on earth"... But even Angels need help once in a while.. I'm usually the helper so asking for help is new and a bit hard for me to chew..

First let's start with: My name is Crystal H.. I am a 32 year old caucasion lady that lives in Colorado.. Native to Colorado. Growing up I excelled in school thus earning 4.0 average and constant Honor Roll. I did have College opportunities ect. but at that time I met a young man in college, football player and fell in love. I had a good paying job as an office manager and thought all was good.. It was for several years anyway..We married and At 23yrs. I gave birth to my miriacle baby whom was premature and weighed 2 lbs. 11oz. I was very ill at the end of pregnancy due to acute Eclampsia so she was born early emergency c-cection, flight for lifed to Childrens Hospital in Denver and I stayed in ICU for the first week.. Keep in mind due to circumstances I never was able to see or touch my daughter before they airlifted her to Denver.. Finally one week later my doctor gave me a two hour pass to beable to go to Denver and meet my new daughter for the very first time.. Words can't tell what I felt and the emotions I was feeling.. I still tear up recounting the events.. But yes after many tears, fear of touching or holding her due to her size and all that was hooked up to her I did finally get courageous enough to hold my new born daughter after a week for the first time.. Love at first sight! Chills are still going through my body as I write this.. Anyway's over time she improved and became much stronger. She was small but mighty. I was finally released from the hospital myself and spent all my time with her at Childrens Hospital until release day.. Brought her home at 3 lbs. 12 oz and had the ultimate baby learning/motherly instincts. With 4 yrs. of twice weekly physical therapy she grew out of her challenges, and has grown into an way above average intellence, beautiful nine yr. old.. Thank you God!!!

My next challenges were none to fun at all! My marriage became rocky.. He became abusive physically, emotionally and mentally.. After about the last 3 yrs. becoming so bad and scary I could not deal with his abuse or allow my daughter seeing such activity. So with that said I asked him to leave our home. He would not leave without a police escort, but finally was gone nonetheless.. I am NOT pro divorce at all so after the initial anger callmed down I did go to him asking him to please do counceling with me and let's really try to work this all out. He REFUSED! So after being with my ex husband twelve years we finally did divorce.. =(

Right after the divorce at the age of 30, I was rushed to the ER and diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure. I was in ICU for over one week and spent several months at home on oxygen. But now since the divorce I was dropped from his insurance so I am unable to have the cardiovascular care needed and a heart valve repaired.. But I have faith one day I will beable to have this delt with.. Gotta believe!

Next was really NOT PLANNED or wanted but happened. I finally met a young man whom I started spending much time with. Due to my heart and lack of insurance I was not on birth control but did use condoms with him. Unfortunately a condom did break and yes I did become pregnant.. Three day's before Christmas last year I misscarried the baby and spent two day's in hospital due to D&C and my heart. I was released at Christmas and had a hard time dealing with the hormones, lack of support from the young man, failure in my parents eyes ect.. Just plain and simple was a hard time for me emotionally but I NEVER once let my daughter know of this and still have not to this day. She does not need to be scared any further than what she has already in life.

Now we come to current events.. Swear I have let my life become a soap opera and should right a what not to do and how to survive book for women.. sighhhhh.... Anyways. After being single for nearly a year and of course wishing I could meet a nice (preferably) Christian boy to date and enter into a relationship with a man whom I have known for several years who was a family friend while I was married came back into my life. This time he showed strong romantic gestures and over time did finally earn some trust n love with me. We entered into a relationship and it felt safe and comfortable since I'd known him so long, family new him and my daughter new him well already too..
I finally started becoming happier and was slowly gaining a little self confidence, and believing that things will end up working out finally afterall.. (Keep in mind due to lack of insurance and Heart Failure I was still not allowed on birth control pills like I wanted) we of course used protection always. But two times the condom came off in me.. I hoped all would be fine and I would not become pregnant, not at all wanting to repeat my first ordeal I had with my daughter plus now with my Congestive Heart Failure on top of it all pregnancy would NOT be good! I went to a local clinic and talked to a female doctor there and begged her if there would be anyway I could qualify for any free birth control that would not hinder my CHF.. Finally I had good news.. =) She said she would see if I could qualify for the low hormone Miranna and if I did she would implant it in my uterous for free.. This was to last for five years.. Yes one positive answered prayer. I went to my doctors oppt. as sheduled, they had me do an UA to make sure I was not pregnant before insertion and preped me for the procedure. Right before the Doctor was to do procedure the nurse came into the room and notified both of us that indeed I was pregnant.. My head swirled with confusion, fear, stress ect.. After talking to my doctor briefly about it, my history ect. I left the office and proceeded to go to my boyfriend to update him of the current events.. At the very beginning he sounded happy and positive, even eased my mind a little but about two day's later he up and left me. I have had my first ultrasound and as of yet the baby is alive and well. Strong heart beat. I am nearly two months pregnant, doctor took me off all my heart meds. due to baby. Still no insurance, applied for Medicade which really saddened me that I was at a point I had to do this.. Very humbling to say the least, and am alone, confused, many urging me to abort the baby but remember I am Christian and this is a hard concept for me to accept.. Currently unemployed, single mother, pregnant, no father support, lonely, desperate and really beginning to feel hopeless.. There is a high probability that the acute Eclampsia could repeat itself again as it did with my daughter and now I'm older than before. Not 23 anymore now I'm 32 with Congestive Heart Failure and Hypertension. Trying to support my nine year old the best I can and now so worried and fearful of what is to come.. Christmas just happened and it so did not feel like Christmas to me. Not much I could do for my daughter or my loved ones. I'm so scared of what the near future holds and how I will beable to deal with it, and be healthy enough to continue taking care of my nine yr. old. Need a good job but kinda feel it would be hard since I am so high risk I have MANY constant dr. visits. Neonatal parnatologist, my OB, and supposed to find a cadiologist as well to monitor me.. Medicade pending but no answer if they would accept me yet, bills piling up, and feeling out of control totally of my life right now.. Sad and confused that bf left me too.. I'm praying sooooo hard daily, nightly, looking on internet for at home jobs I could do but most end up seeming like scams, keep going to church in order to help try to keep me grounded and keep the faith that somehow it will all work out.. I sure hope I have not bored you to death, some may be pretty disgusted by my mistakes and situation, but I do hope nonetheless that maybe even just one person actually found this post, read it through, and maybe just maybe is in a posistion of life that they could and would be willing to help me out a little.. The whole "Pay it forward" campaign.. I fully believe in that and fully believe what goeas around comes around.. Regardless of the outcome I wan't to take a moment to wish everyone that took the time to read my post all the best to you and yours, full love and ENDLESS BLESSINGS to all!

With love and true sencerity,
Crystal H...¢¾

Hello, I'm a single mom with one daughter. I've been unemployed for a year & recently benefits have run out. I need $200 immediately to cover expenses that I will receive assistance for, but I'm told will take several weeks. Here's where the $177.50 will go: $80 Inhaler - this isn't covered on the prescription benefit card I received & daughter suffers from seasonal ashtma/allergies. $37.50 for school lunch for 3 weeks - I applied for school meal benefit & again that will take several weeks for approval ($2.50 per day); we need non-perishables (toilet paper, laundry detergent, etc.) $20.00, I have use of a car but I need gas money to take her to school until she is assigned a bus (they said they are expediting this)$20, and finally there are school activity fees I owe $20. If you can give $1, $5, $10 or the entire amount, it will give me some breathing room to look for a job. Thank you, Thank you.

Pursuit of Education

Posted by JSmith on 2010-06-30 16:58:58

I was three years old when I began my educational career. My mother had petitioned for my acceptance into kindergarten because my birthday fell a week after the cut off date. The school accepted me though they were adamant because I was believed to be too young for kindergarten. I was sent home after my first week of school. "Mrs. Wilson, Jewel will not be able to continue kindergarten unless she is properly potty trained." My mother called me into her room. "Jewel, your teacher said you can't go back to school until you go to the potty." I never missed a day of class unless it was out of my control after that conversation.

My name is Jewel Smith and I am nineteen years old. I became one of five children after my mother's marriage. Now, I am the oldest of three in our household and my mother is a single parent. When asked, "What is your favorite activity?” most children would respond with a sport, videogames, or TV show. My passion is learning. I enjoy all subjects from sciences to literary works.

My mother strives to give only the best of education for my siblings and me. She made it very clear that we had to work as a team in achieving this goal. I attended a private catholic all girl high school through scholarship and financial assistance. I knew my mother couldn't afford tuition for my siblings and me. During my high school career, I excelled in AP/honors courses, maintained a high GPA, and participated in numerous organizations. Many people in my neighborhood believed I wouldn't "survive" in my high school setting because for the first time I did not attend a school with students who were of my racial or economic class. However, I was able to push through adversity even when it threatened to take my mother's life away during my junior year of high school. My mother's lung collapsed and some doctors stated she almost didn't make it. During my high school career, I learned people could cultivate their differences and come together as one entity regardless of race, class, or gender. I was able to maintain over a 3.5 GPA during my senior year and built a strong support system with faculty, friends, mentors, and family members.

I currently attend DePauw University in Greencastle, IN as an incoming junior. I have a declared major in English Writing with a possible second major in Spanish. I maintain a "B" average. I was granted a large package with my school that covers my tuition and some room and board. Unfortunately, the left over balance is still too much for my mother and I to afford. I was informed that I must pay the left over balance of $6,700 as well as my incoming fall balance of $4,000 in order to continue my education at this institution.

I believe that everyone has a special gift that helps the world become a better place. At five years old I knew I wanted to serve others as much as I can. My ultimate goal is to give back to my home community as well as those who are less fortunate in the world through education. It is through this letter that I ask for your help. I want to continue my educational career through undergraduate and graduate studies. I ask that you partner with me so that I am able to make my dream a part of reality. Thank you in advance.
