Posted by krisfawcett8 on 2012-01-26 11:58:15
I am desperate to start working towards my accountancy qualifications, however I cannot afford the home tutoring courses which cost aroun £700-£800. I am incredibly eager to work in the accounting industry but without any qualifications no employers will give me that opportunity, I know with the right education I will become an a great accountant. I hope you can help me achieve my career goals.

Please Help Me Start A Business
Posted by needahandplz on 2012-01-22 16:58:03
Like Millions of other people I have been unemployed for 6 months, I am down but I'm not out as I believe that my faith is sustaining me. I currently attend school and I have a great degree of accounting knowledge. With that knowledge I desire to start a tax preparation and credit restoration business. I am requesting money that will assist me with obtaining the things that I need to start such as signs, printer, ink,etc... If anyone is able to assist with anything...I would greatly appreciate it.

I need help Jacksonville Florida

I asked my pastor to pray for me and I asked God to help me find people to help me. I woke up late last night a discovered cyber begging. I have a part-time job, but it doesn't pay the all the bills.
A little about me. I have three kids at home. They are all in school. I work part-time in Jax Beach at a well known world wide retailer. I make $7.75 and hour and work around 20 hours a week. I have two college degrees and I am taking classes in accounting because I can't find work in my field. Most of the temp agencies told me if I knew Quick Books and bookkeeping the would have a job for me. Now that I know QB and learning bookkeeping they have no job. I have been on two interviews with the same company in the last month with a "we will hire you, but not right now." My husband is working out of town, so we have to maintain two house holds. He sends what he can. We are both working. We Are Trying.
Questions and Answers:
How much do you want from me? A dollar or two. Not much but a little from a lot of people adds up.
Are you going to tell us who you are?
No, because I don't want my kids getting teased again. I took them to food donation place and there was a classmate there who was nice enough to let the whole school know. We didn't asked to be here, it just keeps getting worse.
I have a Facebook page, Spare a Dollar, where you can follow me and see how I am using the donations. I will post screen shots of transactions or pictures of the money orders. I will post receipts of where I spent money too. I am working on learning bookkeeping so this will be real world experience of account for money.
What do you need:
Here is the list:
The first $100 will pay My JEA bill. I pay this online so I will post a screenshot for you.
$360 will pay my Att bill Jea Bill and buy a Gallon of Milk.
$1170 will pay my rent, Att and JEA Bill and buy milk.
$3560 for to catch up on November bills and enough to by food, pay December's bills and get my husband home for Christmas.
$6270 to Catch up on November bills, buy food, pay December's bills, husband home for Christmas, and January's Bill. Now if things work out, I might have a full time job come January 1st.
$10,000 to Catch up on November bills, buy food, pay December's bills, husband home for Christmas, and January's Bill. IF things don't work out I need around $3500 to move to where my husband is.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Paying it Foward Part II
Posted by EconVictim on 2011-07-03 14:58:02
I'm a 28 year old double bachelor's graduate struggling to find work due to "lack of experience." Both degrees (Finance w/minor in Economics, and Accounting) are finished with honors. I've been in Advanced Placement courses throughout High School and show strong academic prowess. I've had internships at reputable institutions such as Merrill Lynch. I learn quickly and I'm talented with Microsoft Excel.
I'm looking for any type of Accounting or Finance work with the exception of Sales. Give me a shot and you won't be disappointed. I'm talented, hard working, and hungry!
Paying it Forward
Posted by EconVictim on 2011-07-03 13:58:23
I live at home with two elderly parents: my father is retired and legally blind thanks to macular degeneration, my mother an immigrant with no driver's license with a list of medical conditions a mile long. We enjoy a crumbling house which desperately needs repairs to the roof and driveway thanks to harsh rains and a heavy winter.
I'm doing all I can to keep things afloat and maintain the household, which is hard with the limited amount of time on my hands, not to mention the occasional flair ups of my Crohn's disease. Oh yeah, I don't have medial insurance and cannot afford the ridiculously priced medication. Thank you to the Doctor who helped diagnosed my condition at a VERY discounted price.
I know I can make it through this and somehow regain the semblance of a normal, healthy life. All I'm asking for is whatever relief I can get to help chip away at my expenses and keep things moving forward. The immediate plan is to repair the house and finish paying off my student loans and my parents' high credit card debt while trying to start a career.
If- no WHEN I make it to the end of the tunnel, I will absolutely pay it forward to someone else in a similiar situation. I do have a history of volunteer work when things weren't as bad, and I still sometimes give time to a local soup kitchen. ANY help is appreciated. Thanks for your time!
I need a job
Posted by ineedwork on 2011-04-12 22:58:50
I live in the NY/Tri-State area and have a good resume, but like many people, have not been able to secure work. My unemployment claim was rejected and I had to live off of savings. Now, I have to be out of my apartment by the end of the month (but do have family that I can stay with), overwhelmed with student loan debt, and penniless. I have fervently applied for jobs, in and out of my field and interviewed at several places, but nothing. I am a good worker and take pride in whatever I do, I just need the opportunity to do something.
Please help me get a job.
I have an IT, Finance, and accounting background, but willing and able to do any work that does not go against my moral principals.
Completely Honest Request - No Begging Required
Posted by HeNateMe on 2010-12-14 16:58:58
Ever since we have had to use credit to get by. We have mounting credit card debt closing in on the 40K to 50K range (I don't want to add it all up as I don't want to see the actual number). I am considering one of those debt resolution companies or bankruptcy. But both have major drawbacks. I have been searching for a better paying job in the accounting industry but competition is stiff and employers' requirements are high and the amount of jobs is low.
I am certain that if we could get rid of this debt we would be put back on our feet and ready to excel. I just need one "do over" without any harsh consequences and then I feel I will be able to go GREAT things. Thank you for listening.

NEED HELP FOR LIVING EXPENSES UNTIL FEBRUARY 2011
Posted by jdennis2007 on 2010-11-24 11:58:58
My last position was as a retail clerk (6 yrs), which I left due to my disorders listed above and poor working conditions. I've tried everything: applying for disability, unemployment.....nothing has been successful so far.
I live at home with my mother, but I can tell she is at her wits end. She is embarrassed by my condition and thinks that it is just something I can shake off or pray away. In October, I landed myself in the ER twice (severe depressive episode).
I have nowhere else to turn. I've sold just about everything I can on ebay and the money has quickly run out. I'm anxiously awaiting tax return time and/or a new job opportunity (hence the date of 2/2011 above). My goal is to make at least $600 to hold me over until then.
Please, if you or someone else has the means to donate to me, I would be so thankful.

I am a college graduate with a degree in Accounting, but the economy hasn't been that kind to me. I am struggling to find work while living at home with family. Things have become so difficult that I have started taking antidepressants.
It would be wonderful if someone out there could send me some help. Thank you so much. ;)

I am a 28 year old woman who suffers from crippling social anxiety and depression. I had to quit my retail job because of my struggle with these disorders.
I'm currently on medication and trying to devise a plan to get better.
I have my degree in Accounting, but if I could only get through my mental obstacles.
I live at home with my mother and don't drive..... and I'm seeing a psych to improve my situation.
Any donations would be great. Even literally 25 cents. Thank you so much for your help.
$5,000 - NEED TO PAY TUITION SO I CAN GET BACK TO SCHOOL ASAP!!!
Posted by CarolElise1231 on 2010-09-06 19:58:58
My name is Carol and I'm trying to get back in school to complete my last year and finally get a degree in Accounting. I had to leave Temple University a few years ago because of financial issues force me out. I had been working and saving towards going back and was unfortunately laid off due to budget cutbacks (just can't catch a break). Due to this set back I had to reconsider my options and make some needed sacrifices. I've moved in with family to save money and decided to transfer to a school that costs less. I would love to see this through to the end because in this economy, even though I have work experience, I am at a grave disadvantage amongst my peers. So ANYTHING that can be donated to help me get back on my journey would be much appreciated.

If you had told me two years ago that by April 201...
Posted by 0 on 2010-04-26 04:58:58
My story begins on 1/08, but first let me give you a little background.
I was married in 1997 and had my only child in 1998. I didn't really need to work but when my son was 2 years old I got a part time job mostly for my own sanity.
In 2003 we divorced but I was able to get a great job through a friend. Things were looking up for my son and I as I was able to keep a roof over our heads and food on the table. If you are wondering about childsupport, yeah, I am suppose to recieve 200 per month but I actually only recieve it about every 6 months after the county attorney threatens jail time.
As I worked I went to school part time to earn an associates degree in accounting and in 2006 I was promoted from my administrative assistant position to purchasing coordinator. In 2007 I went BACK to school to work on my BA. I had dreams of being the Controller for the company I worked for but on 1/10/08 those dreams were shattered. It was at 5pm on Thursday, I was wrapping up to go home when my manager asked to see me in her office. I had no idea that anything was wrong but with tears in her eyes she told me that she had to let me go. I didn't think I heard her right so I asked her to repeat what she said... I heard her right. She explained that they had to consolidate the department and I was the last one in the position. She said she had desperately talked with other managers to find another position for me even if it was back at entry level but she had had no luck.
I think that after I left that day and until Monday I was just in complete SHOCK!
I knew I was about to recieve my last pay check so for insurance purposes I sign up for unemployment benefits first thing Monday morning. I thought I would just sign up incase I wasn't able to find a job right away. Little did I know how true that would be.
I didnt get my first check until the end of April and by that time all of what little I had saved was gone and I was getting behind on my bills. I pawned everything that the pawn shop would take.
By 2009, I was at the end of my rope. I hadn't had a single interview in months and although I was getting EXTENDED unemployment benefits through the Federal Government there would be 4-5 weeks inbetween the extensions that I was without a dime.
In July of the same year, with no sign of relief in sight I sold everything I could and we moved back in with my parents.
The problem with this is that my dad is a violent alcoholic. Since we moved in my son has watched as my dad has hit me with anything he has at arms reach and sometimes even with his fists. He has had to listen as my dad calls me worthless, loser, low life, scum, and anything else you can imagine. My dad isn't AS mean to my son because he knows I'd kill him if he ever laid a finger on him.But it hurts my son to watch me get upset when I'm hit.
The ending of the story is near, I promise...
I recieved my last extended benefits check the first week of April. I signed up to have help with housing because I cant put my son through this anymore. We'll live under a bridge before I let him see my dad hit me one more time.
I'll continue to look for more work but in the mean time May is right around the corner which means my car payment is due again my insurance is due again, and countless other bills but my main priority is to get out of this house.
I hate having to ask but is anyone out there can help me financially? When I moved in with my parents I sold most everything so now I don't even have a couch or bed for another place.
Please help us in anyway that you can.
Sincerely,
Donna
