99er Tags

I don't have anywhere else to turn so I've I'm taking this time to ask for help. I lost my job in 2009 and have not been able to find another anywhere. I'm a 99er in the the unemployment relm and desperately trying to find a source of income. I recently learned I have cancer and am taking chemo to combat the desease. My Doctor bills are out of control and I have no where else to turn. My family is tapped out and my wife is working as hard as she can to keep us above water. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. I've found myself truely humbled by this experience. Please help if you can. Thank You

I am 55 years old and most of my family are deceased,so I am alone. I am what's now known as a "99er", one of the long-term unemployed. Through no fault of my own, I lost my position over 2 1/2 years ago. I have not been able to find anything, not even part-time, even though I have sent hundreds of resumes. Due to many health problems (OA,DJD,Osteopenia, etc.) I have applied for my SSD. It is a very lengthy process. I am looking for just a few dollars to help with gas so that I can continue to go to doctor's appts. I know better than anyone that times are tough, so any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I am a 50 yr old grandmother trying to re-enter the work force. I have no decent clothing to wear to interviews or work if I am lucky enough to find a job. My husband is a 99er he ran out of unemployment in December. We can't pay our rent,electricity or anything else for that matter. I am selling Avon and I make about 40.00 a month. We are 50 yrs old, my husband is a 99er and I am a caregiver/Avon Rep. I babysit for my Daughter for free, she has three children and a good job, she does not want to lose. I sell Avon to pay my phone/internet bill. We do not have the money to pay our rent this month, nor do we have the money to pay our Electricity. I don't know what else to do, we have exhausted all other family members and friends that could help us. Please, Please if you can help us we need it. Hello my name is Cindy,
This is hard for me to do, I have always been able to help myself. My husband is a 99er and I sell Avon, we are about to have our Power shut off, the bill is over 600.00, that is just the beginning, we do not have money for our rent this month, that is another 600.00, I barely make enough money to keep my internet which is also my phone and my only way to run my Avon business. Having had a job in the video game industry (laid off from downsizing in 2008), you can imagine that our house was once a place of entertainment and excitement around the holidays. Since becoming a "99er" or one who goes through all unemployment benefits legally available, Christmas has turned into an effort to just collect what we can to make sure they day still holds something for the kids to open. Our families have done an amazing job to contribute little items here or there, but we still don't have that one "big" item for our boys to open. I'd really like to replace the XBox 360 that we had to sell, hopefully adding the new Kinect controller as well. One of our boys has some developmental delays and I see this as a potentially positive tool for interaction with us as well as peers. Thanks for your time.
