My 1997 Chevrolet has stopped running. I overpaid $2700.00 for it, and now to fix it, it will cost more than it's value. I live far away from my job where I just started working this week after looking for work for more than four months. So in a nutshell, I'm completely broke.

I decided that the safest route to go would be to buy a scooter, as they're more convenient, there's less likely for something to go wrong, and they're cheaper and better on gas. However, I have absolutely no money to buy one, and since I have no vehicle or transportation what so ever, I won't be able to make it to work, and this will only make my situation worse.

I have found some very nice used scooters for $500 on craigslist nearby. I would so incredibly grateful if you could help me with this $500 and I will have NO problem paying you back $100 or more a month via. paypal until I have paid you off. I can't take out a loan because I'm only 20 and haven't developed enough credit to do so (trust me, I've been down that route).

If you do this for me, I will be able to get to work, by groceries, and keep on going until things get better for me. Also, I was recently accepted into Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA and a scooter would be perfect for getting around a place like that.

That's all I need, just $500. I'll pay you back monthly, I'll also give you any information you need in order to prove to you that I'm good for it. I can even set up a contract (if need be) stating that I WILL pay off said vehicle by a certain date.

I need help to pay some of my bills. I have not been able to work since I left the Military in 1997 as a Disabled Veteran. I was in the Military for over 11 years.

Anyway, I have over $1,200.00 in bills I can't pay. I do get a disability check from the VA, but it is not enough to cover all of my bills. I hope that someone can help me before my bills get more than what they are now.

I am an Unemployed, Disabled Veteran who can not work because of my service connected disability. I served for over 11 years. I have not been able to work since I got out of the military in 1997. And what I get from the VA every month for my disability barely pays my bills every month. And right now the tires on my car are bald. And I do not have the money to buy new tires or even used tires, as I need 4 new tires. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.

I am a 65 year old Honorably Discharged Vietnam Era Veteran and recent bladder cancer survivor. We have one car between us (my partner is 60 who had to quit her job as a Certified Nursing Assistant due to health issues). We have a 1997 Olds with 209,000+ miles on it that is on its last leg. A running car or help with some money to purchase one would be a real blessing. I am on Social Security and actively looking for work. Once we have a running car I can look for work. I’ve never asked for any kind of help before, and certainly not from people that I have never met! But my situation has become so desperate that I really do need help.
I have, for the last 15 years, struggled to make ends meet, following periods of ill-health, bad luck and catastrophic decision making. My circumstances are now very desperate indeed, and have even considered suicide.
In 1997 I suffered from a period of depression, that became so severe that I was forced to give up my job, and borrowed money to cover my mortgage and keep my house. Unfortunately the repayments on this ever increasing debt snowballed, and I found myself unable to meet my mortgage and household bills. I had ploughed my life savings into the home, and lost it all.
In 2006 I was approached by a friend, who was concerned for my financial circumstances, and suggested that we buy an old property, renovate it and sell it for a profit. I was desperate to make some money, and trusted my friend. I would refer you to full details of this in my Beg, as the project ended in complete failure having been ripped off by an unscrupulous builder. Work that should have taken 3 months took in excess of 9, and I ended up carrying out all the work myself. I regularly worked at the house from the early hours until well past midnight. The long hours left me exhausted, and in October 2008 I had a breakdown. I simply couldn’t carry on, and collapsed at work. My employer at the time was an unforgiving and vindictive man, and he said that I would be suspended if my work didn’t improve. I was afraid that I would lose my job, and under considerable psychological pressure from my employer I was forced to resign.
Following the failed business venture, which had plunged me into further debt, my breakdown and subsequent loss of my job, I simply couldn’t cope and pushed me into a long period of depression that became so severe that I planned to take my life. At the time I was so ill that I was unable to hold down a job, and this simply added to my woes - whilst out of work and undergoing intensive counselling I borrowed further. By the end of 2009 I was £15,000 ($23,250) in debt. I desperately want to rebuild my life now, but it is difficult to do so when I am saddled with a debt that is crippling me. Between 2009 and December 2010 my debt increased - there is no answer to it, and I will never ever me able to clear the £18,000 ($27,900) that I now owe. It is a debt that cripples me and prevents me from having a normal, happy life. I am 50 in February 2012, but have no future. I am tired of being worried, stressed, unable to sleep, and being depressed. Please, please help me start my life all over again. Please read my full story, and contact me if you have any questions. After being away since 1997, I've come back to care for my disabled mother. I myself have degenerative bone and disc disease of the spine. Making it impossible for me to do any of the labor. The building use to be a bar with an apartment upstairs. Due to her disabilities, she lives on the bar level. Years ago they had a porch added, which is partially cantilevered improperly. Someone installed a shower on the bar level, in the process, they cut a main beam rather than get a longer piece of pipe. I'm not able to find out when the unit was installed, but it was long enough ago that now the bar level bathrooms(yes, both mens and ladies rooms are still in there), and the apartment floors are all sloped. If memory serves me, lolly columns should stop/possibly reverse this.
The well is working when it wants to, the water runs, then shuts itself off, anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes later, it comes back on. The furnace had a burned out blower part which I'm paying the bill off, leaving less than $75 cash after covering the expenses of this building each month. And the plumber said it would be close to $200 just to start fixing the well issue. Not even knowing if it is the pump or not.
The weather here is too much for my body without access to hot water therapy. I don't know how long it will be before I can no longer handle the pain in these temps. I am rather desperate for any help at all. I'm 46, single, and have no one to help me without paying hefty fee's. This building is in dire need of repairs. If anyone could please find it in their heart to help two women that have no one to lend a hand...PLEASE HELP?

Ill sum it up

The people ive seen on here have it hard some of their stories are crushing and they deserve donations much more then me.

But i havent had a perfect life, infact far from it ill give you a life story in five points.

Born 1992
Parents divorce 1997
Mum was a victim of attempted murder and younger brother murded in the process -1999
move to my 8th council house - 2003
mums a victim of domestic abuse again - 2006

finish school and go to college since then ive been trying to make something of my self not that i hate my family but i have dreams (and who says dreams cant come true hey) i work hard i went college for 3 years 20 hours a week getting up at 7 am college untill 5pm then work at 5:30pm untill 1 am and now i work in a law firm. (not bad considering the past events)

but i really want to make something big of myself so i have made my own vodka but i cant get to any other stage wuithout the finance i have had 2 mid-major firms interested providing i can produce it on a large scale and make it a bit more healthy i really need the funds and i really think its my break in life so please anything you can donate i will appreciate so much

The medical bills keep coming.

We got in over our heads when we had to use our credit cards to meet deductibles plus the 20% we owed as part of medical expenses.

All this due to cancer.

I was diagnosed in 1997.

I am desperate and sorry to be doing this.

If I could work outside the home, I would. My health does not allow me too. I applied for government assistance and was denied.

I quit working to become a stay-at-home-mother and because of that my social security disability credits expired.

We have been making late payments on everything: including mortgage, utilities, and of course, the credit card.

We live frugally. We do not have any luxuries. No iPads, iPhones, or fancy toys.

Our two cars are quite old and paid for, but keep giving us EXPENSIVE trouble.

There doesn't seem to be any end to pit that we were "forced" to dig because of my cancer and the endless bills.

I even had to go without medical insurance last year for six months. I was terrified, but we simply did not have the money to make the insurance premiums. I went without medications and medical care.

My heart is heavy with sorrow.

My husband works hard, but unfortunately, just does not make a lot of money. He tries. Bless his heart.

I would be so grateful for any amount you feel you could give.

All my life I've been grappling with a single canker worm. This incurable disease has always been there busily eating away the moorings of my life- callous,unsympathetic and unrelenting. It is responsible for all my troubles: kept me out of school for the past eleven years; ensures that Mum, my three remaining siblings and I are never together in one place since 1997; prevents me from getting married at thirty-six even though there is nothing I crave for now than marriage to my heart throb and have two or three angels in our own little house. I could have done all the above if my father is not this wicked and heartless man who flogged Mom and us the children mercilessly along with other forms of untold cruelty which culminated in his throwing us all out in 1997. I was a genius in school and I had hoped I'll be my loved ones' messiah when I graduate and get a good job. But alas, I had to leave school in 2000 after the first part of a polytechnic education and have not been able to go back since then, thanks to this same single canker worm. Now what is the canker worm? It's not a terminal disease as you might have been thinking. NO it's worse than that! POVERTY is worse than anything in this life! I need help and I need it quick. then in Feb 1997 I suffered a back injury at work and my life spiraled out of control. I was diagnosed with degenerative disk diseases. A condition were my disc between my vertebrae are Dissolving, so no cushion between my bones and they rub and pinch my nerves, causing me sever back pain.
Then came the Debit, The Repossessions, the Foreclosure, my wife left me taking my kids while I was still in the hospital, we Divorce, and then I was homeless all within 6 short months after my injury. My income would never be the same.
Since then I have struggled to get a job to support my garnishments and medical bills. The IRS take 75% after tax, and my Student loan demands 25%, of my income. well you can do the math. To make matters even worse, because the garnishment is not the full payment they damand, THE STATE Add interest charges so I will never get ahead.
things have gotten so bad that, I am essentially homeless. I am staying between friends houses only to sleep and take showers. i had to let my car insurance laps which worries me alot, and the most of my money goes to food, and gas to dirve to jobs/shelters or friends, it also seconds as my room for the night sometimes.I am taking whatever light work jobs that comes my way just to eat.

PLEASE I need help. im at the end of my rope.

I am a 59 year old unemployed married woman. I have been unemployed for over 2 years. I ambeginning to think no one wants to hire someone my age altho I have much computer and office experience as well as a cake decorator and a licenced manicurist. We are currently seeking bankrupcy as we have gone thru my retirement just to survive. We have 2 very old cars (1 is a 1995 and the other a 1997 which are falling apart and a mobile home which is in very bad shape. If we don't get a new door soon we will be open to the weather. my husband came home the other day with 2 very bad tooth aches. We have no dental insurance and cannot afford to go to a dentist. My unemployement os about out. I have no place to turn. My pride has gotten the best of me and I had no choice but to try this. Please

I am a Married Man with one child, I am a cancer Survivor and very thankful to God that I am. Since having this illness I have had a very hard time finding a fulltime job because no one seems to want to hire me because they think that I am a risk. The Doctor told me to give them ten years and then they would come around. Ten years is a long time to go without funds. I really don't like to ask others for Money but I just can't seem to get ahead with financial matters. I can keep up with my bills and such but with Car repairs, (tires,parts etc) and with appliances breaking down and stuff like that I am always struggling to make ends meet. My car is a 1997 Buick Lesabre with over 200,000 miles on it . I drive 20 miles to work and that puts a lot of wear and tear on the car. Any help would be appreciated. I would never ask otherwise but things are getting stressful etc. Thank you

If you had told me two years ago that by April 2010 I'd be reduced to asking strangers for financial help, I would have said you were crazy! But, at any rate, here it goes...
My story begins on 1/08, but first let me give you a little background.
I was married in 1997 and had my only child in 1998. I didn't really need to work but when my son was 2 years old I got a part time job mostly for my own sanity.
In 2003 we divorced but I was able to get a great job through a friend. Things were looking up for my son and I as I was able to keep a roof over our heads and food on the table. If you are wondering about childsupport, yeah, I am suppose to recieve 200 per month but I actually only recieve it about every 6 months after the county attorney threatens jail time.
As I worked I went to school part time to earn an associates degree in accounting and in 2006 I was promoted from my administrative assistant position to purchasing coordinator. In 2007 I went BACK to school to work on my BA. I had dreams of being the Controller for the company I worked for but on 1/10/08 those dreams were shattered. It was at 5pm on Thursday, I was wrapping up to go home when my manager asked to see me in her office. I had no idea that anything was wrong but with tears in her eyes she told me that she had to let me go. I didn't think I heard her right so I asked her to repeat what she said... I heard her right. She explained that they had to consolidate the department and I was the last one in the position. She said she had desperately talked with other managers to find another position for me even if it was back at entry level but she had had no luck.
I think that after I left that day and until Monday I was just in complete SHOCK!
I knew I was about to recieve my last pay check so for insurance purposes I sign up for unemployment benefits first thing Monday morning. I thought I would just sign up incase I wasn't able to find a job right away. Little did I know how true that would be.
I didnt get my first check until the end of April and by that time all of what little I had saved was gone and I was getting behind on my bills. I pawned everything that the pawn shop would take.
By 2009, I was at the end of my rope. I hadn't had a single interview in months and although I was getting EXTENDED unemployment benefits through the Federal Government there would be 4-5 weeks inbetween the extensions that I was without a dime.
In July of the same year, with no sign of relief in sight I sold everything I could and we moved back in with my parents.
The problem with this is that my dad is a violent alcoholic. Since we moved in my son has watched as my dad has hit me with anything he has at arms reach and sometimes even with his fists. He has had to listen as my dad calls me worthless, loser, low life, scum, and anything else you can imagine. My dad isn't AS mean to my son because he knows I'd kill him if he ever laid a finger on him.But it hurts my son to watch me get upset when I'm hit.
The ending of the story is near, I promise...
I recieved my last extended benefits check the first week of April. I signed up to have help with housing because I cant put my son through this anymore. We'll live under a bridge before I let him see my dad hit me one more time.
I'll continue to look for more work but in the mean time May is right around the corner which means my car payment is due again my insurance is due again, and countless other bills but my main priority is to get out of this house.
I hate having to ask but is anyone out there can help me financially? When I moved in with my parents I sold most everything so now I don't even have a couch or bed for another place.

Please help us in anyway that you can.
