Money For Travel

I have a huge desire to travel and experience the world outside of my city. Since times are tough, and my parents can't really help, I'm financially stuck. I'm in school and only working part time, making minimum wage, but maybe because of you, my dreams can come true, one dollar at a time. :)

When you were younger, did you ever dream about how life would be when you got older, that moment when you would finally be independent? My dream is to make the most out of my 21st birthday and to make up for the 21st birthday party my boyfriend never had.

In America, 21 is a magical number for us miserable youngsters who have not yet reached it. We live our lives waiting to get to that number because, when we reach it, we know that no one can stop us from doing anything. When I reach 21, I know I will be unstoppable. And what place on earth says unstoppable better than Las Vegas?

Of course, there is one problem: I am a broke college student and my boyfriend is a broke college graduate. . .With the high prices of hotels, flights, and, of course, Vegas gambling, it is nearly impossible for a college student on financial aid and a recent grad in today's job market to enjoy Las Vegas on their own pockets.

That is where, hopefully, you come in. Dreams do cost money. After creating a budget, I have calculated that, in order to fulfill my dream, I will have to raise around $2500.

I just lost my home.
I've packed up everything I could take, including my best friend and my cat. I've been sleeping at rest stops on the highway, and, we've just run out of food.

I'm trying to get to a free campsite that's three hundred miles away, (it's the only free one around), and I desperately need gas money, we're stuck in Lexington, Kentucky. Sitting at a coffee shop with a glass of water, using free wifi.

Im 26 years old still living with my parents. I decided to make my first big purchase 5 years ago, a car. I have been really good about making payments for almost 5 years. Until recently I have been falling behind. I go to school part time and have a minimum wage part time job.

I have never traveled before or seen the ocean. I feel if I can just pay off my car I can finally save and live like a normal 26 year old. I could help my parents with money because they really need help, I can keep up with the maintenance on my car, save to move out, and maybe finally get on an airplane for the first time. There is about 2,000 dollars left on my payment, but anything will help.

I hope someone out there will decide to help me, and one day I will be able to help someone else.

First I would like to thank all who have taken the time to read my post. Also, would like to express how hard and embarrassing this is for me. I have never asked for this type of help from anyone. Well, my parents of course…. Going to make this clear! I don’t need money to get high on street drugs or go bar hopping. That is not the Man I am and the Man that I would want my son to see me as. That’s why I’m asking for any help you might be able to provide. If you’re in a position to hire a good working honest and loyal person then I’m your guy! I had to move back with my parents after having been divorced from my wife of 12 years. It’s really been hard on me because I gave up our car and house to my ex-wife and son who will be five Dec 31th. I figured it would be easier for me to start over because it was just me. My ex had full custody and wanted to make sure they both had a roof over their head and a car to meet her career and child care needs. The saddest and hardest part for me was that I could not afford to live on my own and keep my truck and the house for my ex to live in. I ended doing the right thing and surrendered my truck and moved back home with my parents.
I now been living in Gothenburg, Ne for over 2 years with my parents and I’m really having a hard time keeping a good job without getting laid off or your hours cut due to not enough demand for what we were making or services we provided. I live in a town of 3,500 so the jobs are slim and few by far between. I owe my parents a lot for letting me stay with them but I’m a grown man now and need to get out on my own.
It’s really been discouraging because I’ve been trying to get things together and money saved up so that I can be able to move back to South Carolina to be closer to my son. I have not seen him in over a year. I feel like the worst father in the world! There is no other place I rather be then closer to him or be able to find a job that can pay me a decent wage that would allow me to afford to fly out and see him as much as possible.
The bottom line is that since there are no jobs here I would like to relocate back to South Carolina and get back into my work field as Cable TV/ Collections/ Disconnections. Again thanks for reading my post even though how shameful I feel about it.

so i thought i would give this a whirl, saw it in a newspaper yesterday and thought why not?
i am trying really hard to save for my first car but im still 2/3's short car is 1500 and i just wish i could have enough money for it sooner rather than later.
i cant visit my family as i cant afford to and they live over 100 miles away...if i had a car i would have such freedom, however my job is really low paid so i dont even have a penny left after my bills.
if anyone can donate anything, no matter how small you would be making a massive difference to my life,

My girlfriend and I live in a small 1 bedroom apartment that we love, but we have been wanting to move from Maine to Oregon for almost 3 years now. About a year and a half ago I jumped the gun and financed my first car and, as the people made is seem, I thought it would be paid off quicker than it is. I currently owe a little over 2 grand on it an plan to use my tax money towards it. Any little bit of money will help... We have no family in this state and really feel like it's holding us down. With the money I raise from here I can pay off my car and put as much of my tax return into moving.

I am South African but live in the United Kingdom. I would love to go and visit my parents who are still in South Africa but I am finding it hard to save the money in these economic times. My parents are in their early 70's and I feel that I should see them sooner rather than later. I would like to mention that my parents are not ill and neither am I.

The cost for flights are just slightly over £1,000 or $1,600. I am almost halfway there - saved £458 so far.

I would appreciate any help that are given to me whether it is just £0.01 or more. I promise to email anybody pictures that would like to see the reunion. I am hoping to have saved enough by November of this year.

Hi to everybody! I am a male 37 years old. As I can only remember I always wanted to sail around the world. As a child I spent a few days at my parent's friends yacht and that's how it all began. Unfortunately since then I wasn't on a boat. Time's running out , I'm getting older and the biggest dream is still to be fullfilled. I'd like to purchase a yacht approx 26 feet, make it ready for the round the world journey of the lifetime. After sailing those 27000 miles I would like to donate the yacht to the good cause. Hi, I am an avid fisherman who has in the past fished all over the world, in recent years its always been for sea fish and would love to be able to come to florida and fish the flats for bonefish or permat and the bridges for tarpon and grouper and also the blue water and back country on a self drive boat.

I am a carer who used to take care of a disabled man who has a brain injury and is confined to a wheelchair,i injured my back atransfering him from his wheelchair into my car in june last year and since then have only been payed statutory sick pay, the damage to my back means i can no longer fish at home even, as i cant manage to dig worms or collect crabs from under the rocks and because of the lack of work cannot afford to buy petrol for the car to get to the coast or buy bait from a fishing tackle shop so any help will be greatly apprieciated even if it is just a few pence it all adds up thankyou again

I came into this world all alone gave up @ birth because i was a boy not a girl, so from a very early age ive had to fend for myself.
I grew up in the system with not the right backing or guidence i could of been something 40 yrs later,always getting passed from pillar to post :( ive worked mnost my life but dead end jobs,im currently out of work at the moment with chronic back pain n constant tinitus not nice.
I have always wanted to broaden my horizons n see other nations n cultures but never got the chance i was always promised we will take you too sucs n such but never happend, i so want to see as much as gods creation before i leave this realm,other christians look thru me not at me y coz i speak of truth with truth & as the saying goes it hurts , well there in the wrong job then god gave us 2 hands one for ourselfs the 2nd for others :)

As humans, we inevitable spend our entire lives searching for someone to share life with. The only thing worse than never finding your other half is finding him and having 4,486 miles separate you.

I met Arvid because he responded to my plea for help after I had taken a fatal dose of pills. Ever since, he's helped me through the hell of my life and I am no longer suicidal and out of the worst of my depression. For Christmas, I gave up all presents so he could come visit me. I could try to explain to you the feeling, but I can't. The two weeks he was here flew, and soon I was grasping onto him outside the airport, crying my eyes out.

Now, I want to be a part of his life, to meet his parents and siblings, to see his world and one day become a part of it.

I am asking for money because Arvid is trying to pay for me to visit him this summer, all with his own expenses.

I feel bad to request money to travel when others need money to live. But this isn't just for me, it's for him, and I would do anything to make that boy smile.
