How do I ask for a donation?

How do I give a donation?

Giving a donation is easy! Click the "Give" link at the top of your screen to see postings from those in need. Review the postings and when you find one that you'd like to donate to, click the "Donate" button at the bottom of the screen.

How much does BegsList charge to make or maintain my posting?

Unlike other cyberbegging websites, BegsList allows FREE online begging as compared to a paid cyberbegging (pay-to-post) websites. Why should you have to pay to beg for help, especially when you are stuggling in the first place? We want to help you with your situation, not add to it.

How do I receive donations?

All you need is a PayPal account! Your can have your PayPal account link to your posting and all your donations will go into your PayPal account. Don't have PayPay? Sign up for PayPal now!

I have not received any donations yet. How do I get more people to donate to me?

There are many others like yourself that are in true need. One way to attract donors is to make your postings as honest as possible without writing a long novel about your life. Keep it simple, but not too simple. One or two sentences may not be enough to draw in a donor to give you a donation...one or two paragraphs should be good enough. Donors are usually drawn to those who can express themselves and are more likely to give to those who have touching stories that capture emotion. Stories that are eye-catching, interesting, humorous, or ones that just touch the heart.

PROMOTE! Please feel free to promote yourself on different social networks (Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Gather...), bookmarking websites (Digg, StumbleUpon, Reddit...), forums, blogs and websites giving the link to your BegsList posting.

MAKE SENSE! Proofread and spell check your posting. Donors may not give a handout to a posting if it is hard to read or if it doesn't make sense.

And finally, be patient!

DON'T GIVE UP! Postings move down the list of begs, so feel free to repost your plea again. Don't over do it because it may look like spam, so once or twice a month would help your plea be seen so that it doesn't get lost in the list. And as always, posting to BegsList is FREE.

How do I get my posting listed as the "BegsList Spotlight"?

BegsList is a FREE cyberbegging website, but to run the site there are operation costs, hosting and domain fees. Of course, you are under no obligation and for the time being, the site will remain FREE for all to use. However, if you would like to make a small donation of $9.95 with your Beg post to help keep BegsList FREE, your posting will be featured in the "BegsList Spotlight".
