Get Money For School

The college I want to go to is pretty much my dream college! It’s so
awesome! It has the best Vet program in my state if not the only
program in my state. It’s most likely the only college that offers
actual vet Med and not just the per-requirements in my state. Their vet
program is what first got me interested in my sophomore year of college.
I got to looking at it and it became the school I most wanted to go to.
It just seems like a really good fit for me. I would really really love
to go here! It has everything I would need. i cannot for the life of me
find another college I would rather go to, but even if I did I would
still need to do this to raise money for my college fund because as you
all know tuition prices are rising every year and it’s getting more and
more expensive to go. I’m 22 now and would really like to get started on
my college career. I’ve been to community college with the help of a
pell grant, but that just isn’t going to cut it. I really have to go to a
university to further my career. I don’t want to be waiting around too terribly long to be
graduating college or even really getting started good. It would mean
the world to me to get to go to college sometime in the near future. My
mental health also rides on going. I’m depressed because I’m not going
and I see what others in my high school graduating class have
accomplished and well it depresses me too because I’m no where near
getting close to getting a job in my field of study. Where as they have
finished school and working in their field or is in the internship
phase. Either way I’m ready to get started on truly accomplishing my
dreams and getting a career. I do not want to end up like my parents and
grandparents and have no college degree even though I want one. I want
to do something they didn’t and what they told me to do if I could and

Well anyway the cost of the college is $25,000 a year, but this doesn’t
include professional costs which will be closer to $40,000 for Vet Med.
Though I’m only looking to get $25,000 for right now. I’ll just want to at least get to go for one year.

Tuition and fees for year are $8,698, Books and Supplies
would be around $1,100, Room and Board will be around $9,992, Other that
they charge will be around $5,166. I should get a pell grant, but I’m
not sure I may not but that will most likely only pay $2,000 if I’m lucky $3,000. I’ve applied to scholarships, but I don’t stand out so I’ll be lucky to even get one if that. With my luck I won’t get one. So I’ll still need a good bit.


So as you can see it will be very
expensive. I will greatly appreciate anything you donate to help me
afford to go to college. I know I most likely won’t get the amount I’m
going for, but I hope to
get most and try to keep from having to take out huge loans.

Hello. I am a 35 year old woman who has finally returned to school! School is paid for thanks to the grants and loans from the government, what I need help with is just normal day to day living. I am putting 110% into my schooling. I have had a hard life. This is why I am just now in university at age 35. I am in my 2nd year and I am a Psych major. I am doing very well with school and I am going to finish and get into a great career and be able to help others! I can't wait! I am going to be a social worker. My lifetime dream is to help others! But... thats still a few years away. Right now I am the one in need. I can not even pay my bills. My laptop is very bad and I need this for school! I cannot even afford internet service at home. I am doing so well in school that I hate that I have to be stressed over money! I cannot find a job because of my past without a degree. But I have turned my life around! And am now dedicating it to help others! I just need a little bit of help too right now. I am that person that would give the other person my last dollar if they were hungry and I would go without. I have done this. I would give someone the shirt off my back if they asked me for it. It's just how I am. I believe in karma and I believe that my good deeds will be re-payed. I went online to get my GED to help me get a job and I found PennFord and took there test and past and now I need to pay for my Diploma before they will send it.
The cost is $500.00.
This will help me apply for some jobs that I know how to do but cant with out my Diploma.

The main purpose of my wife's and my own life is to get the best education possible for my 6 kids. 3 are in different universities, 1 boy is in high school, another in intermediate and the little girl graduates this year from elementary school.

Here in Puerto Rico, a US territory, public education is a disaster and most private schools are not as good as you would expect. Fortunately, my kids are all very good students and have been accepted to the best schools in the country. Those schools are also quite expensive.

Until now, we have been able to pay for that excellent education in part because we work very hard and also because the kids, being the good students they are, have got some financial aid.

But this last year has been very difficult for us. my wife lost her job and it has been very difficult to find another. I work for myself in the education area, but business has been very slow lately.

As a result, we are in very deep trouble. One of the boys had to skip a semester in the university, we are very overdue in the boys tuition payments and we don't have the money for the initial fee for the girl in her new school (did I tell you that she was accepted in the best girls school in the Caribbean region?).

You can help make our dream and our main purpose in life come true. Although we are behind by several thousand dollars, any help, no matter how small will help a lot and will be greatly thanked by us.

I recently got out of prison for some major mistakes I made. I have completely changed my outlook on life and want to continue on the right path. My next step is to go back to school. I am a 27yr old female, who has sufferred in the past with suicide attempts and severe depression. I started working as a care assistant in a hospital this year and have discovered what I want to be - a Nurse.

I am hoping to go to university this september to start my Nursing Degree, but the university that has accepted me is 180miles away, so I would have to move house. It is in Cambridge/Suffolk area and I would also need to get a car to travel to placements and remain in close contact with my ill mother and autistic brother in london.

I do work full time and I love my job but I get £900 a month which after rent, current access to nursing college course costs, council tax, energy bills etc I have only about £10 a month to save which is not going to be enough to save which obviously is far from what I need to be able to live my dream. I have been looking for additional work for months but there just isnt any where I am (portsmouth uk) I am not afraid of hardwork and just desperately want to become a nurse and dont see a way out of my current financial rutt. When I was sufferring from mental health issues I ruined my credit rating and my life.. I cannot get any credit, loans or overdrafts to get the money elsewhere.

Hi I am a student studying fulltime at college working towards a degree in admin/office tech, currently I live with my partner in a local authority rented flat. The government decided that £3995 was how much our household was entitled to claim and that was mostly a student loan and small bursary. We have applied for many other grants and been refused. We are now in debt with our rent, gas and currently feel like we are both going hungry too much. The government are more than happy to pay for anything for you if you are a heroin addict or alcoholic or have 6 children but someone who wants to better themselves by studying to earn a living has very little help. Its no wonder the uk is in such a state with unemployment when people are encouraged to become mothers to get benefits and houses, or encouraged to be a junkie. PLEASE if anyone out there can help in any way please donate and help me to stay in education and get the career I deserve.

My passion in life is visual arts and how it can be used to bring together and help communities. I currently work as an assistant in an Art Gallery (I was lucky enough to be picked out of 30 possible candidates). I have dreams of setting up my own studios/gallery/cafe/community project combined in the future. I am planning to go back to university part time, whilst working, and study an arts and community MA to help towards my goals. I hope to meet like-minded people and useful contacts, and take advantage of the support and resources of an institution. I am saving as I go and looking for a second job to help towards raising the money needed for the course. I know I will raise the money eventually, I would just REALLY love to get going and not see it as something way off in the distant future! It's not a massive sob story, I know, but I am ambitious (I am the only person in my family to go to university, coming from a very uninspiring town) I don't earn a lot, and anything to help me get there quicker would be a huge, huge help. I am Patrick Phelps, I am studying, Theology and Youth Ministry at Concordia University in Seward, NE. Right now I need $3000 for my college tuition bill for the Semester. I am a 24 year old student trying to fund my own degree. I am now in 2nd year and really struggling to keep everything together. I unfortunately had to resign from my job that funds my education as I couldn’t balance working and my degree. I do not have any reason why you should donate money specifically to me. I am healthy, I have no children or dependents who are relying on me, and nothing particularly devastating has happened me to put me in my current situation. Unfortunately I simply have no-one else to ask. My family would give me all the money they have, unfortunately they have as much/little as me. I am not asking for a large sum of money, nor do I expect anything from anyone who cannot afford it. There are many other people in a more desperate situation than I am. It is however my dream to graduate and use my degree to help those less well off than myself and to be honest, although it isn’t going to kill me if I don’t get my degree, I honestly can’t think of what else I could do with my future. I guess I’m just hoping that there are people reading this who have been in my situation and also people who can empathise that for some, the student life isn’t quite as carefree and full of fun as it is often portrayed to be. I decided to change professions from installing cables for networking to trying to get a tefl certification. And teach english to other poeple in the world. I am a disabled person who has suffered from ME/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome since age 9. I missed almost all of my secondary education because of my disability.
I studied a 2 year foundation degree and 1 year degree in music at the Colchester Institute. When I went on to apply for a music teaching PGCE at Cambridge, Middlesex, Ipswich and Open Universities I was interviewed but not selected for any of the courses. The feedback on each occasion was that I lacked sufficient subject knowledge to be accepted on the teachers training course. Also, when I undertook classroom observation experience at several secondary schools, it became clear to me that there were shortfalls in my subject knowledge.
As a disabled person I am at a disadvantage when competing with able bodied people for employment. The shortfall in my subject knowledge is a further disadvantage that can be rectified. I have been offered a place at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford Surrey to commence September 2012. My Parents are unable to assist me financially as my father and 2 brothers are disabled and unable to work. My mother has been ill and unable to work for the past year as she has a lung disease and it is not certain if she will be able to return to work.
Previously I auditioned and was offered a place at the world renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston USA. I was unable to obtain funding to attend the course and was informed by the Department of Education that this was because there are sufficient colleges and universities that offer music education in the UK.

I am a 26 year old college student in desperate need of funds to finish my degree. I am in a program to become a certified occupational therapist assistant and it is very expensive. When I was 10 years old someone tried to rape me. Thus, every since then I suffered from anxiety and depression and I have been taking anti depression tablets. I am in law school, drowning in loans, and with no job at the moment. I am the first in my family to go to college and law school, and even though I work very hard, and do well, it is really hard to make ends meet financially. Right now, I only have $135 left, and I cannot make my rent payments, or even afford food. My parents make less than $10,000 a year and used up all their savings to help me go to college. Hi I am a single father of one who feels like he is in the movie In Pursuit of Happyness!!. We have a family business that we run abroad which has fallen on its knees and has required new investment to get it back in form. I am currently undergoing a facelift and investing all my resources in this business and trying to get it going. I have pretty much sold everything we have and taken the money and reinvested it in the business.

I had to take my son out of school to bring down my personal expenses as well. I enrolled him in a state side school in Tucson Az. No this school is great but they won't ship his school supplies to me and therefore i have to have them reshipped here to our location.

I really don't want cash donations but will take them if that is all I can receive. I would prefer someone who has a dhl, fedex, or ups account just assume the cost of shipping on their account and it be over and done with and have them shipped. If the only means by which i can do this is to receive several smaller donations, then great this would be a great help too. I am guessing the cost of this is probably about $200.00 u.s. dollars to get his supplies shipped to me. We just do not have any extra money right now. If you have a collage degree, house, bank account, good car, and a job: you have more than me. I have none of these things. I have no diploma. I had to get help to pay for a GED just recently, wish me luck on the test. I rent a single wide trailer that had mold problems and made my family sick. We are better now. The landlord ripped the shower and floors out and replaced everything. I fear the mold coming back and making us sick again. I’m 26 and have no bank account, I tried to have one when I was younger but couldn’t keep any money in it because of how little I made in construction. My car doesn’t go into reverse and slips in first gear sometimes. I have no job because I was laid off three months ago when the job ended. I’ve been looking for jobs and filling out applications around my small town but no one will call me back.
Let me tell you more about myself. I was two years old when my father was shot and killed in the big city. I grew up on welfare with my mother and grandmother. When I was seven we lost grandma’s house and began to move around all over. When I was twelve, my grandmother died from being in a moldy house that we were renting. My mother moved to the country with her boyfriend and I followed shortly after. In school I was smart, but moving around everywhere was costly. I lost credit for a lot of hard work simply because the schools were on two different schedules. After living with my mom’s drunken boyfriend and having her cry to me when he hit her, I dropped out of school to get a job in construction. I was able to make enough for us to scrape by and barely pay bills.
I married my high school sweetheart about a year ago. I had hoped that we would make a wonderful life together, but it’s proven to be very difficult. She did graduate and attend college; however, she did not finish her Bachelors degree. She has a little more than half a semester left, but we ran into some tax problems and she has not been able to go back and finish. Now she owes 6,000 in college dept and I owe thousands in back taxes. She has eyesight problems (coloboma) and can’t drive herself. She works with her mom cleaning houses and babysitting. I dream about being rich and successful, and making all our financial problems go away. I don’t see how that’s going to happen with all of our problems. I want to go to college and get a degree, but I need help getting on my feet. Please help me and my family realize our dreams of financial freedom.
